a friend recommended it despite recent poor reviews we decided to give it a try my wife was disappointed with her meal - poor choice i expect my son and I both enjoyed ours perfectly acceptable time to wait fairly attentive staff had reasonable deserts nothing to write home about either way very good atmosphere on a Thursday evening fantastic live band will definitely go back soon maybe not to eat but to graze, drink, listen and soak up atmosphere

The place is clean enough, the staff are pleasant enough but the food was shocking, over cooked and tasteless. One of the group had a BBQ chicken pizza which had 1 piece of dry chicken and 1 chunk of pepper on each slice, burnt edges and devoid of flavour. Meat dishes over cooked well beyond how requested. I worked as a chef for over 20 years in some of the country's largest kitchens and there is no excuse for food to be served like this. Absolute garbage

Como me dijo otra amiga que ha estado aquí como le conté sobre nuestra experiencia de anoche ( 1 calle febrero 2025 ). Relish es caro, la comida es abrumadora y el servicio al cliente es terrible! Al llegar temprano, dos de nuestros miembros fueron llevados a sentarse... y poco después abusaron de ellos por estar en la mesa equivocada... Mientras esperábamos a que llegara el resto de nuestra fiesta, básicamente fuimos ignorados por nuestros propios camareros de mesa, y después de que llegó una ronda de bebidas que tardó unos 30 minutos en materializarse, pasaron unos 45 minutos antes de que se tomara nuestro pedido de comida... durante la espera para que nos pidieran nuestro pedido de comida, nuestro camarero pasó por nosotros 3 veces, sin preguntar por la comida... ni recargar bebidas. Después de que llegó la comida... la mayoría de los cuales nuestro grupo encontró pobres... de nuevo no hubo verificación de si todo estaba bien... ¡una táctica claramente usada para evitar que nos dijeran que la comida es deficiente! Pero aquellos de nosotros (creo que tal vez 2 de nosotros) que realmente comimos lo que habíamos ordenado habíamos terminado ... tomó otros 45 minutos para obtener la cuenta ... En general, no recomendaría Relish a nadie ... incluyendo al vagabundo en el aparcamiento adyacente.

Vine aquí para celebrar los cumpleaños de unas cuantas familias, el servicio era muy pobre , esperó una buena hora y veinte minutos para ser servido, la comida tampoco era genial después de la larga espera, no volverá con prisa. Lástima porque solía ser muy agradable.

Always have a good meal and time at this restaurant

The portion sizes are large so you probably won't need that extra side. The food tasted good, although the presentation was not particularly attractive. The place is friendly, but not exceptional. Servers are polite and attentive, but seemed a bit rushed at times. Overall, the visit met my expectations, but didn't exceed them. After years of wanting to try Relish, I am unsure if I will return.

Popped into Relish for a friends birthday and was not disappointed. Great customer service, great food and drink. Polite staff and a nice atmosphere. Will definitely go back.

We booked for a family meal for a birthday, table of 10, unfortunately the server we had was a little inexperienced, drinks were forgotten off the order, some condiments with meals didn't come out on time and had to be asked for, 5 of us had the surf and turf linguine with fillet steak and tiger prawns, the steak for way over cooked it was slightly rubbery and there wasn't a tiger prawn on the plate just king prawns and for nearly £20 a plate you expect what has been advertised. Some of us did have puddings, and even then we had to ask where they were as they didn't come out all together. Parking costs you £6 for 2 hours, which is a little on the expensive side.

It was nice food, unfortunately we had people shouting across the room to another table of people. Also check your bill as they tried to over charge us

Nice bar area food was good party of 10 and everyone liked food , staff friendly great place for large parties. Had ribs with chips and salad, garlic bread.

Went this afternoon with my gal pals, was absolutely delish adored every minute spent in the wake of relish, food? Divine service? Even better was charged 6 great British pounds for halloumi and grass hair was also found in the lasagna. Questioned the hair was led astray by fantastical tales by our server Lara

Disappointing visit for a Christmas meal. Two people in the party ordered loaded fries for start, they were served a plain bowl of chips, asked the waitress and she disappeared and never returned. So we asked someone else who sorted it and brought the actual loaded fries. The ribs were over sauced. We paid £25 per head for the Xmas menu and will not return not value for money at all.

Llamé sin una reserva mientras estaba en el área, la primera impresión no era grande como 2 escritorios mientras caminas los dos tenía personal en ellos uno estaba ocupado haciendo algo y el otro tenía 2 chicas hablando y no - uno nos reconoció por unos minutos, lo cual es grosero y poco profesional, si estás ocupado solo dale al cliente el guiño para decir 1 minuto por favor. estaba sentado y el personal era encantador, las bebidas y la comida llegaron rápidamente y eran extremadamente agradables , pedimos la factura y porque teníamos prisa lo tomé la primera mujer que era la dama sola en el escritorio mientras entras , de nuevo no miró hacia arriba o nos reconoció así que lo dejé y dije gracias y ella todavía no miró hacia arriba y finalmente miré hacia arriba y lo tomó. muy muy poco profesional . no importa lo ocupado que estés , parecía tal vez un papel de gerente o algo que hace esto aún peor. qué pena . todavía otorgando 4 estrellas para el otro personal y la comida .

Vististe aquí con mis ancianos en leyes, mi cuñada, mi esposa, 3 de mis hijos adultos y sus parejas para celebrar mi aniversario de suegros. Vinimos por recomendación de mi cuñada que ha comido aquí muchas veces y está asombrada por el lugar. Al entrar, era muy fuerte con música alta y tenía la sensación de un bar con un restaurante atornillado. Estábamos sentados sin ningún problema (habíamos reservado) y ya sabíamos lo que anted gracias al menú en línea. La comida llegó y fue mediocre todo el tiempo. Mi cuñada amaba la suya, pero de los 10 de nosotros, 2 pensaban que la comida era pobre, 4 pensaban mediocre, 3 bien y uno muy bueno. Cuando se le preguntó quién regresaría corriendo, solo uno dijo que lo haría. En cuanto al precio, no está mal, pero la comida no era la mejor. El ambiente en el lugar se sentía un poco plano y alrededor de la zona del bar se sentía como un pub y no un restaurante. Fue una lástima, ya que había oído hablar mucho del lugar, pero hay lugares mucho, mucho mejores a menos de 300 metros para visitar y comer.

Visited 15th November tea time, asked if a table for 4 was available and was immediately told NO, and NO again even though many tables were empty. I was told there may be one available in an 45 minutes, at which point my partner entered the restaurant with her children and I informed her of the situation, it was then that the pot bellied rather camp man probably mid 60's then actually checked his diary and decided there was actually a table available! Insult now taken! I probably should've walked out at this point but as it was my partners son's birthday I decided against it and went along with the evening, all the time many tables still remain empty. I'm not sure if my face didn't fit or what but I guarantee I'll never step foot in the place again thanks to the service of that one person. Compliments to the chef though, the food got a big thumbs up all round, at least somebody can do their job to a good standard.

We attended Relish for a work lunch on a Tuesday at 12:30. Relish is located on Eastlaithgate in Doncaster, UK. It has a nice aesthetic, a relaxed vibe, with an interior that combines trendy decor and comfortable seating. We were impressed by the friendly and helpful staff, everyone enjoyed their meals and the food looked great, tasted like it was made with fresh ingredients, and has a diverse menu. It felt like good value for the quality of food and portion sizes. While prices might be a bit higher than average for the area, nothing worthwhile comes cheap. Relish offers a range of options for dietary restrictions, including vegetarian and gluten-free dishes. Relish was judged by my team to he a great spot for a relaxed, quality meal. They especially loved its fresh ingredients, friendly staff, and welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, the manager? Said we couldn't pay separately and had to pay all at once, which was slightly annoying/ disappointing, but all in all, a good work dinner. Try it out :)

1 hora de la calle y el servicio era muy pobre, esperamos 30 minutos para dar nuestra orden, los otros 30 minutos para nuestra comida, la comida llegó fue terriblemente buen trabajo pedimos entrante todo salió al mismo tiempo así que solo como el entrante porque mi principal se veía y sabía horrible, luego me dieron la cuenta y nunca trajeron el cambio esperamos y terminamos saliendo porque era simplemente ridículo. 2017 Very poor. An hour in and still no food. Staff waltz around but don't seem to actually do anything. 2019. the staff were better at attending you, the food was ok, nothing overly special, but overcharged on the receipt. corrected immediately but shouldn't have happened. whilst waiting, i was told to always check my bill as they often add drinks that you have not had by another customer. this may be a genuine error in the bar/waiting staff but seems off that i was warned as it happened to me. 2024. El servicio de principio a fin era pobre - personal de camareros sin experiencia y uno que literalmente lanzó el menú 'especiales' a mí y a mi amigo unos 10 - 15 minutos después de que se les ofreció el menú principal. La funcionaria que tomó nuestro pedido no tenía idea de la sopa del día y necesitaba consultar con la cocina. Lo que se describió como sopa de verduras era sabor a curry que no habría pedido si me hubieran dicho del sabor. Mi bistec estaba completamente sobrecocinado y seco y lo mencioné a nuestro personal de espera y para ser justos, me ofrecieron un reemplazo y debido al tiempo dado que teníamos una reserva de teatro tuve que rechazar. El costo del filete fue reembolsado. También pedí un vaso de agua que nunca apareció. Mis comentarios - el personal de espera necesita estar totalmente al día con el menú y lanzar un menú especial a los huéspedes no está bien. Los chefs deben ser capaces de cocinar adecuadamente un filete a la orden del cliente. Puedo hacerlo mucho mejor en casa que la ofrenda que tuve el 16. 10 . 2024 . En mi opinión, es necesario mejorar el servicio al cliente. Soy local de Relish y tengo que decir que no voy a volver pronto.

Been there for some dinner, what I can say, it's Wednesday, not busy, food was nice maybe little be overpriced but be ok if service will be great. Isn't. Sadly. No one comes after service food to asking if anything ok, or if you need something.... nothing, that doesn't make good service especially when serving food. No asking for dessert, really nothing....so, maybe need staff be properly teaching about work in restaurant. Can recommend?.... don't know, maybe around there is some more friendly restaurants with better staff.

Food is amazing we always go here. We have been company since Dennis had bistro. Please Get rid of The awful club singers when having Sunday lunch. I get In a night but Sundays are for family’s who want to talk not Listen to that singer droning on so you can’t Have a conversation. Even the waitress had trouble taking our order

We'd had this place recommended to u by locals as it should have the best Sunday roast dinners. When we booked the table I enquired about glutenfree and vegan Sunday roast options and was told both where available. When we got the menus there were no vegan/vegetarian options. We were told they had glutenfree Yorkshire puds when ordering but didn't get any. We were 3 people and the only good thing on our plates was the pork crackling. The fried cheese was disgusting, so was the hummus, the potatoes where cooked the the point of being impossible to cut with the cutlery we were given. Staff all seemed annoyed with the fact that we (or anyone) were there. Roast portion was HUGE, would easily feed two people, should you want to go. I think they should stick with the bar/disco thing they had going and just quit serving food. Music was very loud, to the point of barely being able to hear what anyone was saying and the bar section seemed bumping. I might go back for a drink at some point but don't reckon I'll be eating there again, unfortunately, as it is perfectly situated in my opinion

Exceptional food also excellent value for money. Service is usually exceptional but experienced one gruff male staff member.

This place is memorable with the portions' size. It is enough to order just one dish to be full. Do not rush order if a few otherwise you won't be able to eat everything. I had to take whatever was left home with me as it was too much. For one person it was 35 GBP.

Booked a table for 15 people to celebrate my husbands birthday/retirement. The table was decorated as I'd asked. The young lady who served us was fabulous, very helpful with a great sense of humour Food was delicious,very well presented & all 15 meals served together. We really enjoy going to Relish whether for food & drinks or just a couple of drinks Would highly recommend anyone to visit

Wide ranging menu, food quality acceptable, very nice staff.

Usually like it here but wouldn’t be in a rush to go back!! Walked in and the woman behind the front counter was just rude, no hello or welcome, instead we just got told “we will show you to your table but you need to leave by 2.20 as your table is booked after” so we hadn’t even sat down yet just to greeted by please leave at this time. No one came for about 30 minutes afterwards either when we was ready to pay so we had to walk up to pay. When I kindly ask the woman behind the front counter to take our picture it’s as if I was an inconvenience, she just looked like she didn’t want to be there. Understandable everyone has bad days don’t we all but we didn’t feel welcome at all and to say it was the first time my bridesmaids were meeting it was a pretty rubbish experience. I also wouldn’t have minded if the group was drinking loads of being right loud but we was probably one of the quietest groups in there and didn’t have a drink either.

Great drinks & food always happy

A very busy restaurant with plenty of parking nearby. The food is freshly prepared and there is a good range of different items. There are some steps but the majority of the area is on ground level and wheelchair accessible. A few Real Ales available, surprisingly for a Gastro pub so it's worth checking the drinks menu. The staff are very efficient considering the high turnaround of diners, every table was cleared and ready for the next party.

Up for work and out with colleagues. Nice large restaurant / bar with varied menu in centre of Doncaster. Not too pricey either.

FOOD: The veg kebab is brilliant and lots of it so if hungry - a must. I am a meat-eater but ordered it just to try it. Best decision! Otherwise, portion sizes of other meals of similar price could be a bit bigger. Service: Good. Atmosphere: `Background` music is a little on the loud side, a little distracting when in conversation. Best not have any at all. Compared to some eateries, it is OK.

We've been here many times and enjoy the atmosphere and the food. This time, we waited almost an hour for our mains to be served and the restaurant was not nearly as busy as other times before. What made it worst is that we had little ones with us who were very hungry and had to wait

This was a birthday lunch and our dear friend Kim was 65,the three of us had different meals which were absolutely amazing, then after our meal a young lady came with a large brownie with a sparkling candle as a treat on the house. We have nothing but praise. A fantastic lunch.

I booked a table for 18 for 7pm on Saturday evening. Last minute booking but available. Restaurant seemed quite quiet and was quiet all night compared to how it’s been previously. Main meals came out at a good pace but no one came to check if our food was ok. Cleared the tables but no desert menu offered. We asked for the bill and that took about 20 mins to appear. Food was lovely but service wasn’t great to say it was quiet and we were a big party. I’m sure there could have been another £100 on the order if we’d have been offered deserts.

It's amazing for drinks. Pasta and pizza on a lunch time special at £7.50 which is ok for what you are getting......lacks flavour.....but the chips are amazing. Another visit was just as pleasant, food is tasty like always and good variety.

Been here few times over last few weeks. Table service which is nice, polite staff. Food comes out fast enough.

Food was wetherspoons quality at best, service was abysmal. We got served by every working member of staff seemingly, with no communication between any of them, so we had to tell 5 waiters we had already placed orders for drinks/food etc. I finished my meal before my partner and as I placed my fork down my plate was whisked away, whilst she still had half her meal left which was incredibly rude. I had high hopes for relish but was left bitterly disappointed. What used to be a pretty fancy bar and restaurant is now a pathetic excuse of an establishment. Will not be visiting again.

Exceptional steak for my dads birthday last week. We all enjoyed a beautiful family meal together to celebrate. The steak was a very nice cut and perfectly cooked. 👌 Very hard these days to get a quality steak when eating out so we will definitely return. Good service and we loved the atmosphere and cocktails too. 💓

What a superb meal my wife and I had on Saturday evening at Relish Bar & Grill. Upon our arrival the bar and restaurant appeared busy, but the Front of House team dealt with our walk-in request for a table and we were seated almost staight away. Drinks orders were taken whilst we perused the extensive food menu. Our youthful server returned promptly with our drinks order and then preceded to take our food order. We had decided to share the cajun mussels between us and within a short space of time they were delivered to our table. Gosh, the size of the serving was unbelievable and with a hunk of fresh bread to soak up the splendid sauce. The size of the starter was probably double that of most restaurants and the mussels were large, lovely and plump. I had ordered the sirloin steak with a peppercorn sauce and unlike some establishments, here there is no need to order side dishes. My steak included fries, mushrooms, grilled tomato and a light salad; all are included in the headline price - what great value. The steak was cooked to perfection, for my preference and had been well rested. My wife opted for the beef chilli and rice which is one of her favourites and it didn't disappoint this time, either. A very generous portion of both chilli and rice. The home-made tortilla nachos & sour cream complimented the dish perfectly. Relish Bar & Grill must be, in our opinion, the best value restaurant in Doncaster if you're looking for decent food at a reasonable price point.

I went to Relish to celebrate my birthday with friends - having a few drinks in the bar area first and then moving on to dine in the restaurant area. Even though it was mid week, the atmosphere was fabulous and the service was equally as good. There is an extensive menu to suit all tastes and it was difficult to choose but I had the Cajun salmon and it was delicious. We all had different dishes, but they were all presented beautifully and tasted divine. I have no hesitation in recommending a visit to this gem of a bar/restaurant. Oh and the cocktails they serve are out of this world. One hundred per cent my favourite birthday meal out.

Group of us had a 40th birthday meal, food was fantastic staff were very friendly and well priced food and drinks.

Always a delightful experience here. We go fairly frequently as a family, and we always receive a warm welcome. I love the variety of choices on the menu, and whatever I order is always delicious and well presented. We keep saying we should try somewhere else, just for a change, but then always decide to come back here!

I used to love it here this is the 2nd visit within a few months of each other... there were 7 of us out for my sons birthday ...we had no service what so ever got left over 30 minutes...had to go get a waiter to order drinks then again had to wait another 20 mins to catch some one eye to order our starters not once did any one come ask us if we wanting drinks all nite then starters cam out around 25 minute later I ordered half rack of ribs sone else ordered the sharing plate which had ribs on it too they were freezing when they came so againers had to get a waiter again to let them no and again no one asked us if everything was OK with the meal 2nd ones came out abd were hot .. so were all finished our starters in the end but again had to ask for our table to be cleared..and fresh knives abd forks for our main...again no service what so ever mains took around 30 mins after out plates events got taken away ..and the food was OK this time...all in all I will not be going back in a hurry ..when u go out fir a meal you just except a certain standard abd except food to be hot 🔥 this has failed them twice In a row and especially the service I wouldn't of minded if it was busy but it wasn't at all they were all stood at the front in that little kiosk waiting area chatting ..so all in all I only give it a 1 star you need to improve ure waiting staff or people just won't come had bad service x

Visited tonight with a friend. Fancied a pizza. No pizzas, garlic bread or anything that requires cooking in an oven as the oven was broken. Ordered a chicken burger sandwich with chips. The "buttermilk" chicken was dry, tasteless and uninspiring. The most inspiring thing on my plate was the coleslaw side and the beef tomato. The chips were undercooked and insipid.so had a couple and left the rest. My friend ordered sticky toffee pudding. There was no custard available and it had an awful plastic taste. Again most of it left uneaten. Waiters removed our plates without asking how the meal was but knowing most had been left uneaten. Terrible customer service. Poor quality food. Will I visit again? No way

The worst restaurant I have ever visited. Started off fine being seated and order taken. Main course was very mediocre and when the plates were taken away did ask the very young waiter to bring a desert menu to which he replied he would but waited 15 minutes and he even walked past our table a couple of times but no menu. Could not get anyone’s attention and the restaurant was not even busy- only around 6 tables with customers on. Decided to take ourselves to the main desk to pay without any desert and told the gentleman on the desk of our disappointment and we would not be returning

Brilliant venue for family outings. Food was delicious, service slow but it was incredibly busy. Atmosphere good but so noisy. We will definitely go again.

Came in lunchtime 29th December. The restaurant was only half full, we asked if there was a table for 3. Woman behind the counter said she only had 2 members of staff working and they need to clean all the empty tables. Was then told we would have to wait an hour to get a table. (Which is obviously code for go away) It's a shame we wont be spending money here again, used this for so many family occasions in the past. Terrible customer service from the lady on the front desk

When I visited relish bar and grill I had high expectations but little did I know that the service would be poor down right rude couldn’t complete a simple request, now onto the food i was starving and couldn’t wait for this food waiting ages for it to come out poorly presented may as well gone to Wetherspoons will not be visiting again and would not recommend

Very nice had Rump steak tasty but bit chewy
