Went this afternoon with my gal pals, was absolutely delish adored every minute spent in the wake of relish, food? Divine service? Even better was charged 6 great British pounds for halloumi and grass hot was also found in the lasagna. Questioned the hair was led astray by fantastical tales by our server Lara

We'd had this place recommended to u by locals as it should have the best Sunday roast dinners. When we booked the table I enquired about glutenfree and vegan Sunday roast options and was told both where available. When we got the menus there were no vegan/vegetarian options. We were told they had glutenfree Yorkshire puds when ordering but didn't get any. We were 3 people and the only good thing on our plates was the pork crackling. The fried cheese was disgusting, so was the hummus, the potatoes where cooked the the point of being impossible to cut with the cutlery we were given. Staff all seemed annoyed with the fact that we (or anyone) were there. Roast portion was HUGE, would easily feed two people, should you want to go. I think they should stick with the bar/disco thing they had going and just quit serving food. Music was very loud, to the point of barely being able to hear what anyone was saying and the bar section seemed bumping. I might go back for a drink at some point but don't reckon I'll be eating there again, unfortunately, as it is perfectly situated in my opinion

Exceptional food also excellent value for money. Service is usually exceptional but experienced one gruff male staff member.

This place is memorable with the portions' size. It is enough to order just one dish to be full. Do not rush order if a few otherwise you won't be able to eat everything. I had to take whatever was left home with me as it was too much. For one person it was 35 GBP.

Booked a table for 15 people to celebrate my husbands birthday/retirement. The table was decorated as I'd asked. The young lady who served us was fabulous, very helpful with a great sense of humour Food was delicious,very well presented & all 15 meals served together. We really enjoy going to Relish whether for food & drinks or just a couple of drinks Would highly recommend anyone to visit

Wide ranging menu, food quality acceptable, very nice staff.

Usually like it here but wouldn’t be in a rush to go back!! Walked in and the woman behind the front counter was just rude, no hello or welcome, instead we just got told “we will show you to your table but you need to leave by 2.20 as your table is booked after” so we hadn’t even sat down yet just to greeted by please leave at this time. No one came for about 30 minutes afterwards either when we was ready to pay so we had to walk up to pay. When I kindly ask the woman behind the front counter to take our picture it’s as if I was an inconvenience, she just looked like she didn’t want to be there. Understandable everyone has bad days don’t we all but we didn’t feel welcome at all and to say it was the first time my bridesmaids were meeting it was a pretty rubbish experience. I also wouldn’t have minded if the group was drinking loads of being right loud but we was probably one of the quietest groups in there and didn’t have a drink either.

Great drinks & food always happy

A very busy restaurant with plenty of parking nearby. The food is freshly prepared and there is a good range of different items. There are some steps but the majority of the area is on ground level and wheelchair accessible. A few Real Ales available, surprisingly for a Gastro pub so it's worth checking the drinks menu. The staff are very efficient considering the high turnaround of diners, every table was cleared and ready for the next party.

Up for work and out with colleagues. Nice large restaurant / bar with varied menu in centre of Doncaster. Not too pricey either.

FOOD: The veg kebab is brilliant and lots of it so if hungry - a must. I am a meat-eater but ordered it just to try it. Best decision! Otherwise, portion sizes of other meals of similar price could be a bit bigger. Service: Good. Atmosphere: `Background` music is a little on the loud side, a little distracting when in conversation. Best not have any at all. Compared to some eateries, it is OK.

We've been here many times and enjoy the atmosphere and the food. This time, we waited almost an hour for our mains to be served and the restaurant was not nearly as busy as other times before. What made it worst is that we had little ones with us who were very hungry and had to wait

Drinks were fine food was ok but the staff didnt give a toss about the customers litterally doing what they needed to no customer service what so ever took 10mins to get some parmasan cheese the bill had added items we didnt even order, it was soon rectified when i pointed it out but again no apology nothing...staff need a look at!

This was a birthday lunch and our dear friend Kim was 65,the three of us had different meals which were absolutely amazing, then after our meal a young lady came with a large brownie with a sparkling candle as a treat on the house. We have nothing but praise. A fantastic lunch.

I booked a table for 18 for 7pm on Saturday evening. Last minute booking but available. Restaurant seemed quite quiet and was quiet all night compared to how it’s been previously. Main meals came out at a good pace but no one came to check if our food was ok. Cleared the tables but no desert menu offered. We asked for the bill and that took about 20 mins to appear. Food was lovely but service wasn’t great to say it was quiet and we were a big party. I’m sure there could have been another £100 on the order if we’d have been offered deserts.

It's amazing for drinks. Pasta and pizza on a lunch time special at £7.50 which is ok for what you are getting......lacks flavour.....but the chips are amazing. Another visit was just as pleasant, food is tasty like always and good variety.

Been here few times over last few weeks. Table service which is nice, polite staff. Food comes out fast enough.

Food was wetherspoons quality at best, service was abysmal. We got served by every working member of staff seemingly, with no communication between any of them, so we had to tell 5 waiters we had already placed orders for drinks/food etc. I finished my meal before my partner and as I placed my fork down my plate was whisked away, whilst she still had half her meal left which was incredibly rude. I had high hopes for relish but was left bitterly disappointed. What used to be a pretty fancy bar and restaurant is now a pathetic excuse of an establishment. Will not be visiting again.

Exceptional steak for my dads birthday last week. We all enjoyed a beautiful family meal together to celebrate. The steak was a very nice cut and perfectly cooked. 👌 Very hard these days to get a quality steak when eating out so we will definitely return. Good service and we loved the atmosphere and cocktails too. 💓

What a superb meal my wife and I had on Saturday evening at Relish Bar & Grill. Upon our arrival the bar and restaurant appeared busy, but the Front of House team dealt with our walk-in request for a table and we were seated almost staight away. Drinks orders were taken whilst we perused the extensive food menu. Our youthful server returned promptly with our drinks order and then preceded to take our food order. We had decided to share the cajun mussels between us and within a short space of time they were delivered to our table. Gosh, the size of the serving was unbelievable and with a hunk of fresh bread to soak up the splendid sauce. The size of the starter was probably double that of most restaurants and the mussels were large, lovely and plump. I had ordered the sirloin steak with a peppercorn sauce and unlike some establishments, here there is no need to order side dishes. My steak included fries, mushrooms, grilled tomato and a light salad; all are included in the headline price - what great value. The steak was cooked to perfection, for my preference and had been well rested. My wife opted for the beef chilli and rice which is one of her favourites and it didn't disappoint this time, either. A very generous portion of both chilli and rice. The home-made tortilla nachos & sour cream complimented the dish perfectly. Relish Bar & Grill must be, in our opinion, the best value restaurant in Doncaster if you're looking for decent food at a reasonable price point.

I went to Relish to celebrate my birthday with friends - having a few drinks in the bar area first and then moving on to dine in the restaurant area. Even though it was mid week, the atmosphere was fabulous and the service was equally as good. There is an extensive menu to suit all tastes and it was difficult to choose but I had the Cajun salmon and it was delicious. We all had different dishes, but they were all presented beautifully and tasted divine. I have no hesitation in recommending a visit to this gem of a bar/restaurant. Oh and the cocktails they serve are out of this world. One hundred per cent my favourite birthday meal out.

Group of us had a 40th birthday meal, food was fantastic staff were very friendly and well priced food and drinks.

Always a delightful experience here. We go fairly frequently as a family, and we always receive a warm welcome. I love the variety of choices on the menu, and whatever I order is always delicious and well presented. We keep saying we should try somewhere else, just for a change, but then always decide to come back here!

I used to love it here this is the 2nd visit within a few months of each other... there were 7 of us out for my sons birthday ...we had no service what so ever got left over 30 minutes...had to go get a waiter to order drinks then again had to wait another 20 mins to catch some one eye to order our starters not once did any one come ask us if we wanting drinks all nite then starters cam out around 25 minute later I ordered half rack of ribs sone else ordered the sharing plate which had ribs on it too they were freezing when they came so againers had to get a waiter again to let them no and again no one asked us if everything was OK with the meal 2nd ones came out abd were hot .. so were all finished our starters in the end but again had to ask for our table to be cleared..and fresh knives abd forks for our main...again no service what so ever mains took around 30 mins after out plates events got taken away ..and the food was OK this time...all in all I will not be going back in a hurry ..when u go out fir a meal you just except a certain standard abd except food to be hot 🔥 this has failed them twice In a row and especially the service I wouldn't of minded if it was busy but it wasn't at all they were all stood at the front in that little kiosk waiting area chatting ..so all in all I only give it a 1 star you need to improve ure waiting staff or people just won't come had bad service x

Visited tonight with a friend. Fancied a pizza. No pizzas, garlic bread or anything that requires cooking in an oven as the oven was broken. Ordered a chicken burger sandwich with chips. The "buttermilk" chicken was dry, tasteless and uninspiring. The most inspiring thing on my plate was the coleslaw side and the beef tomato. The chips were undercooked and insipid.so had a couple and left the rest. My friend ordered sticky toffee pudding. There was no custard available and it had an awful plastic taste. Again most of it left uneaten. Waiters removed our plates without asking how the meal was but knowing most had been left uneaten. Terrible customer service. Poor quality food. Will I visit again? No way

The worst restaurant I have ever visited. Started off fine being seated and order taken. Main course was very mediocre and when the plates were taken away did ask the very young waiter to bring a desert menu to which he replied he would but waited 15 minutes and he even walked past our table a couple of times but no menu. Could not get anyone’s attention and the restaurant was not even busy- only around 6 tables with customers on. Decided to take ourselves to the main desk to pay without any desert and told the gentleman on the desk of our disappointment and we would not be returning

Came in lunchtime 29th December. The restaurant was only half full, we asked if there was a table for 3. Woman behind the counter said she only had 2 members of staff working and they need to clean all the empty tables. Was then told we would have to wait an hour to get a table. (Which is obviously code for go away) It's a shame we wont be spending money here again, used this for so many family occasions in the past. Terrible customer service from the lady on the front desk

When I visited relish bar and grill I had high expectations but little did I know that the service would be poor down right rude couldn’t complete a simple request, now onto the food i was starving and couldn’t wait for this food waiting ages for it to come out poorly presented may as well gone to Wetherspoons will not be visiting again and would not recommend

Abbiamo preso solo da bere quindi non posso giudicare il cibo. Una birra un bicchiere di vino e una camomilla. La mia teiera era molto sporca e ci è anche voluto un po’ perché arrivasse. Il posto però è molto carino ed accogliente ci tornerò per provare a mangiare e poter giudicare meglio.

Not an obvious choice for Sunday dinner, but we were very impressed by staff attentiveness and the food was delicious.

Absolutely appalled with our experience. We went for a meal for my birthday as a family. We rang initially to inform the restaurant we were running a few minutes late and there was no problems. The 7 of us arrived only 5 minutes after the reservation time and were coldly greeted and instead of being shown to our table were putting toward the back of the room and told your tables over there. After waiting almost half an hr to even order a drink, we had to get the attention of one of the staff to be even be able to order. Upon ordering our drinks not only were the wrong ones sent but some were missing. The starters ordered were fantastic and no complaints. Upon receiving our main courses, the calzone was brought to the table and was not only slightly burnt on the crust but completely burnt all over. How they were allowed to send that out the kitchen, I don’t know. When sending it back to the kitchen, as the staff member walked off she rolled her eyes at us which is completely unacceptable of a member of staff. The mains were thoroughly enjoyed beyond this, however we were still experiencing issues as no one came to check if the food was satisfactory or come and ask if we wanted further drinks. We then had to go up to the front desk in order to pay the bill as we were waiting a further 15 minutes to be brought over a card machine. In the meantime, we could staff just stood having conversations and one even just stood on her phone. I have been coming here for many years but this has to be the worst experience yet and wasn’t worth the 3hrs we ended up being in there.

We have been to this eatery before and had good experiences. Tonight however was shocking. To start we were not shown to our table, we were pointed to the back of the room and told, “ your down there” we then sat for over 30 minutes before we had to ask if someone would take our order. We didn’t receive all the drinks ordered and some were incorrect. The starters arrived and as expected with no issues at all. Plates cleared and the mains came out. One order was a calzone. This was burnt, not just caught but charcoaled. We asked for this to be returned. The staff member was so rude and rolled her eyes. Amongst the group of us we commented on this. When bringing other items the staff member apologised and said there would be a 5 minute wait for a replacement calzone. The food we eventually all received was beautiful and we couldn’t complain about the food. The service however was unsatisfactory. Nobody did a check mid meal, we had to continuously ask for additional drinks and then after managing to get the attention of a staff member for the bill, had to go to the bar to pay as nobody returned to our table. There appeared to be ample staff, however the priority wasn’t the customer. We witnessed staff taking breaks as should be. However whilst we sat waiting we witnessed staff stood together in conversation and one even on a mobile phone in conversation. All whilst we were left experiencing poor customer service. Because of this we will not recommend to friends and I other family members and will not be returning.

Been going relish for years and never had a problem until now. Incorrect drinks served after waiting for 45 minutes to even order. Food was burnt and when we asked to swap the staff rolled their eyes as they walked away. Service was so bad I half expected Ant and Dec to jump out and feature me on Saturday Night Takeaway

When we arrived our table was pointed out to us we weren't shown to it. We sat for 40 minutes and no one came to ask us about drinks or take our order we had to ask for them to take it. Food came which was OK but again no one asked if everything was OK with our food. We had to ask for more drinks. When we asked for the bill it was put on our table we waited 10 minutes and still no one came to sort payment. I went to the desk to pay and was asked if everything was OK. I explained my displeasure and was told sorry about that whist rolling her eyes. I definitely won't return young staff who are not trained correctly.

I've been dining here for years. I know the owners very well unfortunately for some reason, the portions like chicken fajitas has changed. Not enough chicken to much onions, ect looks nice but needs to be addressed. Staff spot

Food was good apart from order being wrong on two occasions,service was poor first waitress we had was miserable and couldn't even crack a smile at the toddler with us,sent order back as was wrong to get a sigh and right!came back and still wrong and had to walk around myself with the food to find someone remotely interested. Finally food was sorted but the fries were from original wrong order and now cold. Have been lots of times before and always had a good meal but customer service needs vast improvement

We had the calamari and dough bites for starters, the calamari was nice but the dough bites were very bland and lacked flavour, we ordered a pizza and sirloin steak to medium rare, the pizza was okay but didn’t taste any better than a regular takeaway you’d get, the steak came out blue to rare and we sent it back for it to be returned the exact same internally but over cooked on the outside, the steak itself was really tough to the point 80% of the steak was left and the blue cheese sauce had no blue cheese flavour to it, the staff were very rude besides two members who were actually very nice and helpful

Food was excellent and reasonably priced - very good value. Service was only OK, but it was very busy. Only real criticism was the background noise which made communication difficult, but the quality of the food made up for that.

Been to this pub many times but this time the food was not great,we ordered carbonara wen it came there was no sauce just didn't taste right,we ordered a pudding the chocolate sauce was off very vinagary and tasted sour

Lovely spot in Doncaster, had a great meal with the family, very accommodating for our 10 month old. I had the ribs which were delicious. Didn’t get the waitresses name but she was lovely.

It was my first visit at Relish Bar & Grill. The meal was delicious, the staff was friendly and welcoming, good quality of food and big portions. Although the second time I went there, the service wasn't really that good as i waited for the pizza like 40 minutes and the staff didn't even ask if the food was good but they asked other people. I would still recommend this place 🙂

Went with our son and granddaughters for a birthday lunch. Great food and excellent service, they even did the eldest ones desert with candles as it was her birthday. Brilliant experience all round.

Relish has been open for many years in Doncaster and this was our first visit as we don't normally lunch in town. I had the seafood chowder and my husband had a steak sandwich both were delicious. The staff were many and attentive. We will go again.
