The Grill Shed in Doncaster

First time weve tried this place ordered 3 x classic American burgers came with fries. very nice young man delivered leaving order 2/3 mtrs away and waited till i picked the order upFood was hot,fresh and very tasty will deffinatly order again from hereSon wanted a burger but some of the rubbish hes ordered before has been un eatable but found this very tasty Thankyou

Delicious lunch, I visited for the first time and recommend, top starter dish, grilled meat on the spot. thanks for the good experience.

This was our first visit but it will not be our last !Great food , Great service and Great atmosphere. Not only does this restaurant have a full menu with everything you could ever want but it also has a specials board which changes often . The specials are advertised on Facebook but not on the website. Between us all we covered all bases Ribs and Wings , Build your own burger , Chicken Burger and the A List Wrap off of the specials board with all different fries . Each meal was as good as the next ! All I would recommend is that you book a table in advance . We saw a lot of people being turned away disappointed as they did not board and the restaurant was fully booked for the evening .

Went yesterday, 01/02/20, staff were excellent, punctual and polite. I ordered chicken wings with the hot sauce, the missus ordered a burger, both were delicious. The place was very busy on a Saturday afternoon, will definitely visit again for the hot wing challenge

Thank you so much to Anne Marie and the team for helping deliver a wonderful surprise birthday celebration for my husband! So accommodating with fantastic food as always-even for the huge party of 30 that we were! Wonderful cocktails and a great ambience. We all left absolutely stuffed as everything was so delicious. We will be back again soon!

Not been here since it was the Filling Station (it was terrible). Not sure if it’s changed hands or just rebranded but it was much better. Drinks menu is great. Lovely beers, awesome rum selection. The burger was superb and the customisable fries were superb. Struggled to finish. If I’m feeling hungry and want a quick bite with good service, I know where to come.

I detoured on a business trip looking for a steak and a beer and to burn the long time before my flight home, and this place hit the nail on the head. I was seated immediately, my food was ready so fast I was genuinely surprised, the staff were so so friendly. The quality of the food was excellent, not at all greasy or bad quality like so many steak houses. The place is spotless inside, staff are on the ball but never in your too much or annoying.After a little bit I started to chat to the staff during a quiet moment, my god they were so genuinely friendly and nice. They made me feel totally welcome and treated me like I was one of their buddies. If you are passing by this place it is worth stopping for, in fact worth the detour.Ricky and Georgia (hope I spelled that correctly) you are the best. You cannot put a price on good service.Georgia, if I wasn’t married already.... I want you to know, I would Have married Ricky there and then.Best wishes,Your Irish cousin

Had the place to ourselves on a quiet wednesday tea time. Opted for the build you own burger , £11 for a chicken or beefburger with a choice of 4 toppings. I went for the chicken burger with an extra beef patty(3 quid) with mexican cheese, streaky bacon, onion rings and pulled pork served with fries and slaw. Not for the faint hearted this sizeable burger was delish, well presented and so so tasty. Highly recommend.

The grill shed in Doncaster is the best place for food.just ring up book a table you will not be disappointed the staff the food the drinks all very good.i have been there a number of times now and every time it's been very good.

So..nice environment. Friendly staff.Milk shake fab but a little thicker would be betterThe order too an hour to arrive. So had to pay extra in the car park.It was not full and we didn't all arrive together.The meal was hot and plenty of it, the burger bun was toasted so warm, but the burger patty was cold, it did have chicken in there too so in a whole it was warm. Dirty fries were excellent Would I go again, not for a long time

We turned up without a booking but that wasn’t an issue as over half the tables were empty.

Grill Shed has been our usual place to eat after work on Fridays, it is usually good but this time we were massively let down. The staff said one of the chefs called in sick but it felt like we were completely abandoned. We had our drinks and starters, the staff were good in making sure we had everything we needed but we gave up waiting for the mains as it we had been there two hours up to this point. The most frustrating thing was watching every other table get served before us despite us being the first table there

We booked the grill shed after seeing the amazing food pictures on Facebook. We ordered a started and waiter said to order mains at same time, which is fine but then the starter and mains arrived at the same time!! The food wasnt that nice the sauce on the wings was overpowering and there was no wipes to clean your hands with after we ate them. My burger was pink in the middle and I hadn't even bit into it before the waitress came over and asked if we had finished which o found quite strange as she could clearly see we had only just started. We felt rushed all the way through the meal even tho the place had plenty of empty tables. No condiments on tables loads of staff stood doing nothing but took ages to get someones attention just to ask for salt. Defo wont be returning.

Was here for our son's birthday,there was about 10 of us. The food was tasty ( and plenty of it ) though the burger my grandaughter had was still red in the middle so she could'nt eat it. After finishing our meal we ordered a sweet. By the time the sweet had arrived the table had still not been cleared. We had to ask the staff to do this as it was very cluttered by then. Plenty of other dinners had got served and their table cleared way before we had our's done. Sad to say we will not be going back. We did complain about the burger and got a discount on the final bill. Only 2 staff on to attend all the dinners is not enough.

Been to the Grill Shed on a few occasions and it never fails to deliver. Portions are on point and the burgers are one of the best if not the best in town. Always on the list when it come to grabbing some comfort food.

Was very impressed with the shed, the food is superb you can see it being cooked . The service was excellent by friendly happy staff. Will definitely go back to try other things off the menu well worth a visit.

My husband and I came here yesterday. We’d booked a table for 6pm. Upon arrival (slightly early) we had to wait for the front of house staff to finish their conversation before we were properly acknowledged. They only did this when the kitchen staff gestures towards us to show them we were here. The front of house staff then asked a waitress to ‘Show this couple to table 2 please.’ We have names, we’d just given them to you, they should’ve been used. The waitress rolled her eyes, motioned towards a table and left. Were we supposed to sit here? I presumed we were so sat down. The waitress had already gone by the time we sat. Seems like we didn’t want to order any drinks.

So glad we took the plunge and came to Grill Shed. Burgers are my absolute favourite thing, and this place does them really well. There’s a huge selection of toppings and extras. I had the 'New York Deli' with pastrami and sweet mustard. My mouth is watering now just thinking about it.

My brother and his girlfriend recommended this place so we went. It was not a disappointment. The food was amazing, obviously as you might be able to tell there is lots of cheese to be had.

My husband and I thought we’d give this place a try on a rare night with no kids and we were really impressed. The food was lovely, arrived quickly and the staff were attentive without being pushy.Very reasonably priced too so we’ll definitely be back once we can get convince my mum to babysit again, I need to work my way through the cocktail menu!

Excellent food and service fast and tasty and really good for money pulled pork is amazing, staff are lovely very welcoming me and my partner left happy

Fantastic filling food! Great service and atmosphere would happily drive the hour to come back!! The staff are very accommodating.. compliments to the chef! Ps amaze pickles!!

Had a few visits now and every time the food is good and the staff are friendly ..... Would definitely recommend You have to try the fully loaded fries

This is a great place for an American style burger and chips (other meals are available). There is a great selection to choose from on the menu.

4 of us went we all had something different and all of us was very pleased the food was excellent service excellent cant wait to go again highly recommend

First time I've been here since it changed hands and always remembered the bad experience I had 4 years ago but this time, the service was good, the food was really nice (I couldn't get to finish it as I was that stuffed) and done in good time. I will definitely be back one day

Went here as a starter for the rest of the night. First time here but no complaints at all. Good service not a long waiting time from placing order to getting food and reasonably priced as well. Staff friendly and efficient. If I was to say anything it is that you get too much food but for some that is a big positive. Will return next time we are in Doncaster.

Visited on a busy Saturday evening but got a table quickly. Great selection of burgers and many you don't see elsewhere. The whole group commented how nice they were and great value at £9-£11 with fries and coleslaw. Decor is designed to look lime an American filling station, its a relatively small restaurant but has a good vibe. We'll definitely return. Highly recommended.

Excellent restaurant. Booked online with no issues, telephoned to amend booking & staff were polite. Despite the size of the party ( 11) they didn't ask for a deposit or menu selection.

We originally booked a table on Quandoo for a Saturday evening however we got a call to say unfortunately they were fully booked. We decided as it was early afternoon we would just swap our meals around and try the restaurant for a spot of lunch.

Second visit with the lads. Absolute delights again.

Pretty disappointed with our visit here. The food was quite a letdown, it lacked flavour and it all felt rubbery and tough. The best thing we had was a milkshake. Not a good choice for burgers, and unlikely to return.

We accidentally stumbled upon this place when the Indian restaurant we were going to was closed down! That was our good fortune it was really good. It was very quiet as it was a Sunday evening but the two young ladies that served us were lovely and the food was fabulous even our fussy friend enjoyed his steak (unheard of!)

My husband and I turned up here early evening on a Saturday and they found us a table quickly. The food was really tasty, very generous portions and it arrived quickly too. The cocktails were lovely too. There were plenty of children in, so ideal for families. We will definitely be returning- thank you.

Visited with my partner on Wednesday where they had a wingman deal. 20 wings, could choose from bbq, jack daniels and buffalo hot (we had ten of each) 2 portions of fries and 2 bottles of craft beer (we had brew dog punk ipa) all for £20. Was lovely! The staff couldn’t do enough for you either! Will definitely be going back as they have other deals on all through the week too!

I really wanted this place to be great but I feel like it just misses the mark! The food just isn’t of the quality I expected, nor was the service or the venue itself. It’s an alright effort but unfortunately it was a let down. Also, for what it is, the prices seem a little steep.

The food was 5*, didn't take long to arrive, order was correct (I'd asked for some things to be changed), it was piping hot and was dam right delicious. My only down side was that Me and my friend had only just parked our bottoms on the seats and I was asked if I wanted a drink. As this was my first time here I had no idea what they had and wasn't shown a drinks menu we found it on the table after we was left to decide what we wanted to drink. This was the manager too. So my constructive criticism for you would be show people the drinks menu and give them a moment to pick. We will be back as they food was spot on

Just been this afternoon to The Grill Shed and was very impressed with the food was absolutely amazing and delicious. The staff were very friendly and would recommend to all if you are local. We traveled half an hour and the trip was well worth it!!!!!!. Will be returning soon. Thanks to all for a great meal.

Quality food I struggled to eat mine so if you like a lot to eat this is your place and the food is tops aswell

My friend and I have been wanting to try this place for a while. Today we finally had the time and it was everything I hope it would be. The food is amazing, the service great. Already planning the next visit.

Tonight is my first of many visits to this amazing restaurant... service is outstanding along with cleanliness ... food is to die for ... if you're a burger fan.... this place is a must. Mouth watering doesn't even sum it up enough. Value for money is incredible... in fact I'd happily pay more for the standards of service and food and even drinks. Overall a must to call at this place... 5* rating any day of the week from me.

Love, love, love this place! Super friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Food is consistently good time after time with lots of choice and options to personalise dishes. Free WiFi means kids are happy and kids menu is great! I have recommended this place to loads of friends who all have had the same experience!

Came here for dinner today (6people in total) the food portions were massive, they have great prices, very friendly staff, would definitely visit again!

Well what can I say, this little place is excellent. We went in as a party of 14 for my daughters 18th birthday and they were very accommodating. We all had different things off the menu and not a single complaint about anything. Burgers were excellent, steak was cooked to perfection, kids meals were more than enough. The portion sizes were big and the prices low. The atmosphere, decor and music choice was perfect for this little setting. And last but not least the staff were fantastic, friendly, chatty and very accommodating. My thanks go to the chef for excellent food and to the staff for excellent service. We will DEFINITELY be back.

Visited with family and friends for my birthday.... The food was excellent and the staff are very welcoming and can't do enough for you. Will definitely be visiting again.... And again.... And again!!

Best restaurant I have been to in a long time I don't normally eat burgers because of the quality of the meat! but I had the burger with pulled pork toped with Onion rings and chips with pulled pork on top absolutely lovely best burger I have had can't wait to go again!

We’ve visited twice now and both this food has been amazing, we’ve had burgers with loaded fries. Service from staff is also great very friendly and attentive. I tried a cocktail second time which was great! Can’t wait to go again

This place is fantastic. The people are so lovely can't do enough for you Ann Marie is such a lovely young lady. The food we had was awesome so tasty. Mac n cheese was the best I've ever tasted the garlic cheesy chips were outta this world. The burger was a proper hand made burger totally mouth watering. I would say not any burger beats this in Doncaster beats these.. outstanding

This is a excellent set out dinner brilliant decorations excellent music AND THE FOOD was outstanding i searched world for the best burger and i found it in my home town and the fries are to die for check out the pics
