La Boca Steakhouse in Doncaster

Went for a meal and my partner and I was very happy and had the most amazing time and would recommend you to go and try it 5/5 10/10 on everything

Ate here for my birthday. The staff are absolutely lovely, without being overpowering and the food.. oh my.. it was impeccable and I can honestly say it's probably the best fillet steak ever eaten.!! Will definitely be eating there again.

The seating wasn't the best and you could hear all conversations around you. I wouldn't recommend going here if you are large or in a wheel chair as I'd imagine people would be knocking into you if you're not against the wall. The steak was cooked to perfection, the only downside was the additional pieces that come with the steak. I'd consider changing those or presenting them better. The chicken wings were great, I highly recommend them if you're a fan of chicken on the bone. I saw a lot of burgers being served and they looked really good! I'd consider going for a burger as they looked stacked and more appealing.

Our visit to La Boca in Doncaster was fantastic!!! The service was excellent. We arrived, slightly early, but, our table was ready. The waitress Mahsa, really did look after us. My wife and I both had the large mixed grill and the steak was perfection. We also had two sides of creamed spinach and Mac and cheese, to share, both a must with a mixed grill. One criticism, only a small one though, the chimichuri came in a small dish not really enough. The waitress explained and maybe if they said, "ask for more", at the beginning of the meal, we would have done. A minor glitch. The desert was churros with a dolce de leche sauce. This really did finish the meal. Really, if you are in Doncaster, try this restaurant out. Book in plenty of time during the busy periods. We arrived for a pre booked table at 6, it was already extremely busy.

Just had a lovely 6oz steak with peppercorn sauce. Absolutely beaut as always with excellent service. Thank you to Elina our server for the evening. I highly recommend that you give this place a try. Well worth the money !

⚠️List of issues:⚠️ -Background music skipping. Happened on 2 visits 2 months apart -The burger was super dry. Think it was frozen -Fries were overcooked making them bitter. Lovely dose of acrylamide. Chef doesn't know how to turn the frier temp down -Offer gluten free fries but there NOT gluten free they deep fry calamari in the same fryer -Messed up order by giving us fries when we asked for potatoes instead -Some of the roast potatoes were crucified and were rock hard -Steak was very dry. Also probably frozen -Mocktail was insanely sweet. Bar staff might want to try the drinks before they send them out -Bills have a 'discretionary' service charge of 10%. Why? The menu isn't budget. Either pay your staff enough or charge more for food. Down with stealth charges The restaurant is very pretty and the staff are very polite but that doesn't make up for the food being terrible 😔 REPLY: this review isn't to fish for discounts or free food it's to review the poor quality of the food. The website used to state gluten free was an option, they are not anymore. No we didn't eat everything that's a lie

Mussels were amazing & prawns were meaty and a good size, cooked perfectly 👌 The Mussels came in a sauce that thick, it was like a hearty tomato soup. Shared a meat platter type dish, and everything on it was a taste of heaven 😋 especially the lamb chops! Fairly pricey but worth it.

Service is pefect.The food is excellent. Belly pork was next level. A++

Good but not great. We came here after recommendations from free press. I think cost to value whenever I have food The steak very good but not miller's and carter excellent. Chicken burger was not surprising, you can get better from a local takeaway. Service is a bit too run around make you feel uncomfortable and rushed. I really It was good but not worth £55 for 2 people with 10.01pc service charge.

Brilliant meal and fantastic atmosphere

Food was ok. Tight seating arrangement. Our server was asked if they had any vegetarian wines, her reply was 'yes, they're all made from grapes'. Expensive sides.. probably won't be rushing to go back.

I came with my family, the service was so friendly, professional and everyone was so ready to serve. The food was delicious, the portions were amazing. We got served by Asim Mahmood…he was so professional, easy going, he made us feel so comfortable, he provided great advice on the food and we spent great time there. He is such a great person.

Came to La Boca tonight on a whim and was very impressed. Amazing food, portion sizes and service. Everything was brilliant and we had a great time - will definitely be returning!

Lovely place, warm and cosy. Pretty decor and lighting, celebrating my birthday. As we arrived all the staff wished me a happy birthday. Very friendly attentive service, without being rushed. An in house magician wandered amongst the tables, keeping you entertained whilst your meal is being prepared. All the meals were served hot and were cooked to perfection and decent sized potions. 1 steak, 1 belly pork and a slow cooker beef in wine sauce. I would definitely recommend. If you have any room left, the generously portioned Bailey's cheesecake or the churros and sauce are delicious. Altogether a very pleasant evening. Thank you to all the staff.

Our first visit here to celebrate my 70th birthday. The restaurant has a lovely, warm feel about it and the staff were equally warm and attentive. However, neither one of us was blown away by the food. It was ok but not outstanding or worthy of the large bill paid. We both agreed that the sauces on both our main courses, ( I had blue cheese and my partner had sauce with her sea bass), let down the dishes. Either too much cream and little flavour for the fish course or not enough depth to the blue cheese sauce. We never complained at the time as it would have tarnished, what was otherwise, a lovely birthday. The food should match the bill and we found the food lacking for the cost.

We went today at 13.30. Staff are lovely, nothings too much trouble. Food was quick to come out and wow it tasted amazing, both had steak rump and filet and both cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back.

Every time we go, the experience just gets better! The steaks are consistently perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor, showcasing high-quality cuts. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are attentive and knowledgeable. A must-visit for any steak lover!

Wow!!! I wasn't expecting the standard of food i got. Me and 2 friends went through recommendation and so pleased we did. The mixed grill was out of this world. Lamb chops were cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside but so tender. The chicken wings.... well! The rite amount of flavour a touch of heat but not to much. These chorizo things i dont even know what they were nor do i the skewer but they were outstanding. The sirloin was cooked to perfection. All three of us got a different sauce and all loved the one we each got. My pal got halloumi with his dish and give me 1! Best ive had ever. The 3 of us couldn't believe how good the food was.

A very nicely decorated little steakhouse, where everything is delicious. We had the 'Plato de La Boca' and some starters, where every single item was perfect. Even the salad dressings are unique, smooth, and compliment the meals. The sorbet as a palette cleanser is so smooth too.

All of the staff are really friendly, the wait for food was only very short and everything was packed full of flavour. There are some really nice fancy touches such as sorbet as a mid-meal palate cleanser and complimentary shots after the meal. Couldn't rate it high enough, we will definitely be back soon.

Our first experience here at La Boca was amazing! The food was outstanding, the place had amazing decorations, vibe was cozy and welcoming as well as all the staff were super helpful and kind! The burger was phenomenal. So was the steak. Despite being a steakhouse, the seafood was of amazing quality too. They also hired a magician to do some entertainment for the night and he was incredible and really managed to enrich our experience even more. Really do recommend these guys.

Lovely meal with family excellent service we were a group of 10 and everyone was served at the same time which is a bonus when you are a large party.

Been here a couple of times and on this occasion attended for my wifes 50th birthday celebration. The service was very good as it usually is. But I just didn't think the food is as good as it once was. It's not poor by any stretch, but I'm not convinced it's worth the money. My wife always has the Provoleta starter which she always raves about, but said on this occasion it was just OK. We both had the rump steaks, which don't get me wrong were not bad. But compared to the likes of Miller Carter were not on a par. I just think it also doesn't look like value for money. For example it was the steak and a small pot of fries with a dish of garlic oil. There was no side salad or garnish and at £25 just looked under whelming. The staff are great here though, the service outstanding. Yes they do add a service charge on, but do offer to remove it if you ask. Overall I would go again. But my wife who loves this restaurant was a little disappointed this time around.

Beautiful Meal , 8 of us for my daughter’s 21st Birthday, staffwere extremely friendly, attentive and provided excellent service . Compliments to the chefs who cooked the meals to perfection , steaks were delicious and tender.

Lovely place, had nachos as a starter had plenty of toppings on and the tortilla chips were amazing which made the dish stand out from other places. The seafood main was really flavourful and good portion. Beef risotto was a nice surprise as it was really delicious. Will definitely be back :)

Went early evening and as a family we loved our food ... very tasty and the steak filets were juicy and succulent medium rare i had ... the mixed grill was nice and tasty too I was told by a family member x The staff were lovely. Very polite and looked after us by fetching us drinks when we asked. And making sure we were happy with everything. I have to say this was a fantastic experience, from being seated to getting the bill. As a family of 5 adults we visited this restaurant for my sons birthday. We had numerous starters all of which were excellently presented and tasted just as good. The mussels were sublime, the garlic mushrooms to die for and the rest were just as good. The mains were just as good if not better, two Ribeyes a risotto a burger and the chicken, all cooked perfectly. The service was equally fantastic and nothing I asked was too much, and all delivered with a smile. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Excellent experience. Booked via app for a birthday, able to adjust time easily as required. Requested a chilled bottle on arrival. Restaurant called the day of to confirm booking which was nice. Arrived and seated quickly and pleasantly. Members of staff wishing the Mrs a 'Happy Birthday' on the way over without being prompted - this was done in casual way, which was fortunate and appreciated as she doesn't like overblown displays. Bottle waiting, chilled when sat. Waitor introduced himself, left us to settle. Argentine influences on menu and wine list, general atmosphere was fun, contemporary. Once ordered, service impeccable here again -no pressure but recommended items done skillfully, a close-up magician came to do a few tricks at the table, he was good, funny, and again recognised it was a birthday. Magically he seemed to be with us just long enough for the food to arrive (a skill I saw he repeated with other tables). Steaks cooked to perfection - the chips were amazing. Service throughout was brilliant, not over the top - just spot on. Come time for the bill - all good, happy, want to tip - waiter explains 10% service included. We wanted to go a bit more and the gent politely refused, said it was unnecessary. We forced him to take something extra as it was truly deserved. I very highly recommend this place and will come back.

Quite simply the best meal I have ever had. Zero room for improvement, nothing to better. Miller & Carter and other steakhouses simply do not come close. We both had the tomohawk and are now in need of a set of wheels to remove ourselves from the resteraunt. 200% recommend. Never had a meal like it.

I went In a vegetarian and came out having tried the T bone and wow was it worth it. Definitely will be coming again.

2nd visit this week and we absolutely adore this venue & food! Certainly the best steak ever, we go that much the amazing staff know our food, the way we like it cooked and also our desserts. Date night for 2. Really nice food, but a bit pricey. Empanada starter was lovely. Chips are perfect and steak done to perfection. Staff were really nice. Only down side, if I had to find a bad point, would be that it is a bit compact inside and over the 90mins we were there, I think we heard them singing happy birthday 3 times. :)

5 stars all the way. Took my wife for our anniversary. The food was incredible the service even better. Had a magician on which was unexpected but really great. Special mention to Asim for being attentive and providing a first class experience. 100% will be going again.
