Steak was nice but did order thick cut chips with it and paid extra for them but didn’t send them so was just steak on its own. Can’t select missing item as it was part of a meal. Disappointing after paying nearly £40 for just a steak on its own

We celebrated Valentine's Day with a memorable dinner that exceeded our expectations. Our meal featured three distinct cuts of steak, each prepared to perfection, and succulent lobster tails that were a true indulgence. I opted for the sirloin steak, cooked medium rare with a rich peppercorn sauce. Although there was a slight wait, the steak arrived perfectly cooked, accompanied by crispy fries and warm onion bread. The other steaks were equally impressive—tender, flavorful, and cooked just as requested. The lobster tails added a luxurious touch, their buttery richness complementing the meal beautifully. The ambiance was intimate and inviting, ideal for a romantic evening. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, enhancing our dining experience. The restaurant also offers ample parking and a pleasant outdoor seating area, perfect for warmer days. While it's a bit on the pricier side, the exceptional quality of the food and overall experience make it well worth it. We left thoroughly satisfied and look forward to our next visit.

Service good but could have been better with wait times for the drinks. Food was great really nice, full of flavour and well cooked just missing that something for me to give 5 stars. Atmosphere okay, I did feel too close to the neighbouring table given I heard their entire order and subsequent conversation for my entire night.

Overpriced took approx 1 hour before any food arrived . Maybe busy. Not too impressed will not be using this chain again.

The Restaurant was very clean, the ambiance was great, plenty of natural lighting. The staff were exceptionally professional and helpful, and suggested how certain steaks are best cooked to get the best taste and appreciation of the cut. The food was absolutely amazing, and great attention to detail and well presented and great value for money. I can't recommend the food here enough, and will be returning very soon for more from the amazing food on offer.

Firstly we couldn’t get a car parking space. The premises were so over booked that patrons were arguing and jostling for spaces in the car parking space as we arrived We were shown immediately to the dining table with no option to sit and have a pre dinner drink. We were given menus immediately upon seating and no one came to ask us if we would like a drink for 15-20mins after! Our order for food was finally taken over 45 mins after arrival but it was well in excess of an hour before any food arrived. The staff were so busy that it was a good while before clearing starter plates and taking the main course order Eventually when we did order the mains, they took another 30 mins before arriving The food wasn’t great either. My wife ordered king prawn salad which basically looked like a packet of king prawns had been emptied on top of a basic bag of salad. There was no dressing or sauce. Pathetic frankly. My daughter ordered a fillet steak meal at £35.95and it was no more than 5 or 6 ounces. It was okay but again not worth even half of that amount. 2 of us had bourbon chicken. Grilled half a chicken which was nice but not spectacular by any means and the bourbon sauce was about a tablespoon full. The final guest was my father in law who had loin of cod but again he felt we have had a far better example of cod loin down the road at the Eagle and Child for a lot less money. It was my father in law’s 82nd birthday and so we didn’t wish to make a scene. However we did hear at least 2 other complainants on adjacent tables regarding the extremely poor service and long waits. My father in law was not made to feel special in any way. Our waitress did ask if we were celebrating anything special and we told her yes and explained it was his birthday. She gave pleasantries but nothing else mentioned and no special offers or complimentaries were put forward. All in all yesterday was an awful afternoon in terms of venue choice, service, food and not least price. We don’t feel that we would even end to anyone or ever wish to return ourselves. Our final bill was £235 for the privilege. Shameful

Best to book as very busy at lunchtime.

What a fantastic evening at Miller and Carter! Mike was our server, and I cannot praise him enough. He was professional, efficient, and had a warm personality that made our dining experience truly wonderful. He took the time to explain the menu and even recommended a wine that perfectly complemented our meal. Thanks to Mike, our visit was perfect from start to finish. We will definitely return and hope to have him as our server again.

Lovely food, especially for my friends who are all meat-eaters and had the lunchtime steak 2 courses deal. The vegan roasted squash was lovely but a bit expensive for what it was. The alternative choice was the ubiquitous vegan cliche - a burger! Also there was no vegan dessert option available so that I could take advantage of the lunchtime offer. Service was good as was the seating area where we were placed.

Had a lovely dinner with my husband last night. We shared the cote de boef as part of their 3 course set menu, king prawns and calamari to start and cookie pie to end our meal on a sweet note. Everything was delicious, and service by lovely Rachel was very prompt. We ll be back

Visited Miller & Carter Doncaster recently, and while the food itself was good, the service left a lot to be desired. The wait time between courses was far too long, making the meal feel dragged out. Throughout the evening, staff never came around to ask if we wanted more drinks, which was frustrating. When our food finally arrived, we were asked if we wanted any sauces, but despite requesting them, they never actually brought them over. The experience was further soured when it came time to pay. We were asked how much we wanted to tip, and after selecting 0% due to the poor service, we noticed that a 10% service charge had already been added to the bill—meaning we were essentially being asked to tip on top of a tip! At that point, we just wanted to leave and didn’t bother questioning it, but it felt misleading and awkward. Overall, while the food was enjoyable, the slow service and lack of attention to detail made for a disappointing experience. Would think twice before returning.

We had a fantastic family meal at Miller & Carter, and it was a special occasion as it was my mother-in-law and brother-in-law’s first visit. Gosia and Max made the experience even better with their outstanding service—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. They made sure we all felt welcome, and my in-laws were truly impressed. Thank you both for making our visit so memorable!

We like to visit M&C as a treat and decided on the 13th Feb for Valentines. The girl serving up was a little too attentive to my husband for my liking, which came off as really quite disrespectful. Usually we love the food and always go for the same but this time it was just alright. Not sure why but we both felt the same. Atmosphere nice as usual and the bill was as expected.

Our visit was very pleasant, the food was exceptional and our waitress Paige was lovely and very attentive.

We visited for Valentine’s Day, our server was Gosia. I truly believe Gosia made the experience worth while, she was incredible - made us feel welcome and 100% a friendly host! She informed us on which meals suits our preference which turned out perfect. The man at the door, who welcomed and seated us, served pleasant and comedy banta. The whole experience was amazing and we will be returning! The only complaint I have is turnaround time. It took over 15 mins for drinks to arrive, though it was very busy.

As always absolutely brilliant. With me being gluten free is very rare to find a place that you can experience a full menu and you are not made to feel the odd one. My husband and I love this restaurant

Special shoutout Megan who was our steak expert / server. Also to Shane and Dan who created the magic in the kitchen! I won't be leaving it so long to return!! Superb steaks!!! The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the food they're serving. You tell them how you like your steak and they'll recommend one for you. This is a high quality restaurant and (whilst not the cheapest) is exceptional value. Will definitely be returning.

We found this surprising, as we were wearing hoodies due to the cold weather (4°C) over white shirts, along with smart-casual chinos and trainers. Despite this, Tom’s behavior became quite rude, which made the experience even more frustrating. Ironically, his own attire—a scruffy suit with no tie and an unkempt appearance—seemed less in line with the restaurant’s dress standards than ours. I had high expectations given Miller & Carter’s reputation, but this visit was disappointing. I hope management takes customer service concerns seriously and ensures consistency in dress code enforcement and staff professionalism to maintain the high standards the restaurant is known for.

Been here many times, but the quality has gone down every day, the staff are not friendly. Family of 4, ordered 4 steaks, waited 1 hour and 35 minutes for the food to arrive, all 4 steaks were cold, dry, and tasteless (we ordered medium rare). Even the sauce that came with it was cold. Reported to the waitress, she asked if we wanted to put it back on the grill to heat it up? It's funny, if the steak is reheated, will it still be medium rare or overcooked? We refused, left the food unfinished and spent nearly £200. Definitely won't be back.
