Miller & Carter in Doncaster

Lovely place, amazing food and great staff. Charlotte has served me many a times and has always been brilliant. Would recommend to anyone

We usually really enjoy here and I would normally give this place a 4 star rating at least. Unfortunately it wasn’t the same this time around. We are a family of three and all ordered steaks. My son’s chips came cold and my whole meal was like warm, but my steak wasn’t even the slightest warm. I asked for my meal to be changed due to this and they brought me the same meal back that had been warmed up! Whilst I appreciate them trying to not waste meat, the meal couldn’t be warmed up to the right temperature without ruining how I ordered my steak. I had previously had this discussion with the waitress so I did expect them to bring a fresh meal out and I instead received the same meal which was still cold and had been thrown about and put back on my plate. 🫣 I really don’t think this is acceptable for the prices you pay here the one meal in total would have cost me £40 so it should have been served warm or at least replaced properly when I complained. The management staff were great and did refund the money which I appreciate is all they could do but I do think going forward you should replace the meals correctly, if people are paying that much money for them and you are at fault. Went on a Saturday early evening 6:30pm. Greeted politely butwe were 5 mins early our table was not quite ready. We were given a device to alert us. We went to the bar for a drink. The bar area is very small so we had to stand. Luckily not for long. The table we were allocated was in a very busy & noisy area. Servers and customers were passing by us sooo often which was a little annoying. Also the flood light from the car park was blaring through the window so I had to switch seats. Our server Paige is such a lovely young lady. Very polite and communicated with us (all) really well. She made the ‘not so great’ start much much better. She explained the menu very well and asked about allergies etc. she was attentive throughout checking the food was to our liking & if we needed more drinks. I had the surf n turf fillet medium rare. It was delicious although a little on the cold side I do prefer food Hot the lobster tail was also only tepid in temperature. I guess with steaks they do let it rest but I’d expect the lobster to be hot (at least). My son had the rump (medium rare) and he said it was really lovely & the right temperature; my husband the T-bone; again not hot (just warm) but was cooked as we’d asked for and was very tasty. Disappointed they no longer offer the ranch with croutons dressing. Decided to opt for bacon & mustard and it was not to my liking very sour n spicy. The Cabernet Sauvignon red wine is sooo good I had an extra glass. The crème brûlée is to die for defo recommend that! Last but not least the car park is a little small - we ended up being blocked in so my husband had to take the cars reg number and go back inside to ask staff to find the car owner to come out and shift it! Overall despite the few annoyances we experienced we dud really enjoy it.

Good service but food was not hot. All of it. We did comment on it but regretfully did not send it back. Even though steak was very tender we weren't sure what temperature medium steak served. 🤔. We were slightly disappointed.

Such a great experience. There is an amazing atmosphere in the whole restaurant and all the servers provided lovely and polite service all throughout our meal! The drinks here taste amazing as well.

We absolutely love Miller & Carter. We were a bit disappointed with the cocktails this time (december). I know menus have to change, but they removed the best cocktails, tried a few others, but we weren't impressed with them

Steak was amazing,,,,scallops overcooked....place is tired and feels like it needs a good clean but Rachel, our server, was very good.

Charlotte our waitress was absolutely lovely! She was very attentive and made sure we was okay throughout the whole of our visit. She brought a warmth to the dining area and had a kind, bubbly spirit. The food was also great and I can’t wait to come back. The fillet was 10/10 and a great deal at January.

Good food as always. Steak was cooked to perfection. Price of sides was reasonable 3 for a tenna you can share those sides for a couple maybe 3. Starters are very big portions. So weigh up what your there for. If your going big on steak choose wisely lol

Tried this restaurant for new year’s dinner and I am now a fan. Will definitely visit them soon.

Food was amazing! The recommendations for the cooking of the steak are spot on and the steak itself (I had the ribeye) is insane. The seafood is also great, my highlights being the lobster and the squid which was fresh and delicious. We were served by Maddie all evening and she did a great job making sure we had everything we needed and was very attentive.

Our server Sophie was lovely, smiley, and polite. Recommended some dishes which tasted amazing so thank you! Fantastic food and great atmosphere.

My wife and I decided to have a Friday treat at Lunchtime, (..at the same time, see where they would be seating us the next week for a Birthday Dinner for 12..).After a lovely welcome by Mike,(..our Server to be..),and, I’m guessing, his Boss..We were shown to our Table and proceeded to have a lovely 3-Course Lunch, superbly looked after by Mike, who was polite, attentive and very Professional.We have been here several times and I can say that the Steaks here are as Good, if not better than anywhere else I can certainly think of.Looking forwards to next week.👍☺️.Thanks Mike.

Food was Ben issy moe. I was thoroughly stuffed after, by the food. Although the atmosphere was definitely what held it back as the table behind us had the most high pitch screams every 3 minutes on the dot. Other than that it was fire. Would recommend. Maddie was a legend, and the rest of our table said she slayed, whatever that means.(I know what it means)

Served by Charlotte today on a child free evening! Very welcoming and explained how everything worked. Lovely meal and drinks, not felt rushed even though it was very busy! Will definitely visit again.

We had steak expert Lizzie ,Grill chef Alex and Bartender Robyn . Amazing experience. Mine was Black" RARE TREAT MENU" Angus ribeye medium and partners Black Angus sirloin medium raw . So juicy and tasty meat. Great atmosphere ,lovely waitress and we never had to wait for anyone ,everything just in time. Will come back again .🤩🤩🤩

I had the most devine Rump steak, cooked to perfection, with a delicious peppercorn sauce. The pineapple coconut mocktail was really delicious. It was what dining should be, a lovely relaxed atmosphere, cosy with delicious food. Thank you.

Went to this location for Christmas Eve. Was looked after as a if I was a V.I.P, big shout out to Dylan who greeted us and made us feel at home from the Get Go. Would recommend the Dirty Burger 🩵

Amazing food and amazing service. Tried the three course festive menu and was not disappointed. The starters, pate and baked goats cheese, were delightfully flavoursome and light, before diving into the mains, two different steaks cooked to order. The fries were seasoned to perfection and the sauces (plus English mustard for me) were also excellent. Determined not to end the night prematurely, we also tried the desserts; the brownie was extremely rich and the accompaniment of the raspberry sorbet made it a sumptuous dish. My sticky toffee pudding with ice cream was also top tier. A great night - will definitely return!

Most heartfelt thanks to the staff at Miller & Carter in Doncaster! We visited our brother’s family and planned a lunch gathering, but unfortunately mixed up the location and reserved at a different Miller & Carter. Despite being fully booked, the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, arranging a large table for our two families for lunch within 1.5 hours before the next group arrived. We truly appreciate their agility and the lovely arrangement they made for us! The food was fantastic, and we enjoyed a wonderful festive feast. Huge thank you again!

Have had some good times and food at miller Doncaster bur unfortunately I feel that the standards and service has fell well below expectations and after reading some of the reviews I think it will be some time before I book again

Michaela was our server and she did a fantastic job. We were a large party and she worked so hard to look after us.

The restaurant speaks for itself, excellent food, excellent atmosphere and excellent staff, the only downside, I asked for cheese board, and I got a cheesecake lol

Just had an awesome meal at Miller & Carter in Bessacar. Grace, our server, was perfect. She was super friendly and made us feel right at home. Dan whipped up some great drinks that hit the spot! And let’s talk about the steaks, just absolutely delicious and cooked just right. Definitely a place I’d recommend for a great meal out.

Amazing as always! Came here for Christmas day and wasn't disappointed at all! Usual friendly greeting, straight to Lovley decorated table and presented with our welcome drink. Had a Lovley and friendly server, as where all the people we delt with and the food was top quality as always. We had a 3 course meal and everything was perfectly times and very tasty, everything cooked to perfection. Would 100% recommend this place for any occasion

The food is wonderful here. The steaks are to die for. The staff are lovely. There is a wonderful atmosphere when you walk in, it's always a nice temperature and there is a really good selection of gluten free options. I love the pudding selection too ! Keep up the good work :)

Quality of food and atmosphere were great. However, too many flies around the restaurant area where everyone was eating. We had 6-7 flies landing on us while we were eating. Service was great but the 8oz steak was more like 6oz. I had to order an additional chicken fillet to feel satisfied.

We had Paige and she was lovely (hi Paige, I hope you have fun at York market). Very friendly and made me feel less scared about ordering because I’m crap at talking to people and she talked to me more like a guest than a customer which isn’t something you see a lot. I saw her cleaning glasses and she looked very into it, she clearly cares a lot about the quality of her work. :) Food was banging, obvs. I don’t usually finish everything, but I ate all of what I ordered, and then like a good quarter of my brothers steak too because it was just that awesome. The actual wedge of lettuce made me giggle, I didn’t actually expect a wedge of lettuce but I’m glad I got it. I don’t know how you managed to make a literally chunk of lettuce tasty but you did. Atmosphere was cute, loved the fairy lights. Felt like I was some kind of old-timy king who was eating fancy food from a far away land in my castle. Also I liked sitting in the corner, I like corners. Thanks for epic scran, will return.

Mihaela has attended us really well. She has considered all the allergies on the table (gluten, nuts, etc).

Went for an engagement celebration dinner. Mihaela was brilliant, kind and very courteous. We regularly come back and the food is always 10/10. We ordered the butchers block to share and highly recommend.
