I recently visited my favorite steakhouse again, and it never disappoints! The steak was cooked to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and exactly how I like it. What truly made the experience special was the amazing Mihaela, our waitress. Her warmth and attentiveness added a personal touch to our meal, making every moment enjoyable. It's always a pleasure to see her, and she truly elevates the dining experience. I can’t wait to return for another fantastic meal!

We came to Miller at 4pm on Saturday 12th October for a family get together. We was a party of 8. We was greeted by Harry who opened the door for us and made us feel welcome. We was shown to our table quickly and our server Mike was quick to introduce himself. We ordered drinks and they came straight away. We had 2 tabs as we had 2 vouchers. Mike was quick to explain the menu and made us aware that the food may not come out together as we had 2 tabs. That didn't bother us. It took us a little longer to order as they have a new menu. We ordered our starters and mains. The chefs and servers were very attentive and everything came out together. We all ordered different meals, everything was hot, fresh and tasty. Then it was pudding time, I highly recommend the Lemon tart and NY cheesecake, nearly the whole table ordered the cheesecake. Overall, lovely evening and friendly staff.

Miller and Carter Bessacarr in Doncaster is a great spot for steak lovers. The food, especially the steaks, is cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The restaurant has a nice, cozy vibe, and Natalia and Gosia were really friendly and made the experience even better with their great service.

So, decided to eat here about 4.30pm one day as i passed it. Well, what a great decision. I got the Lunchtime deal of 2 Courses for 16.75gbp.I picked Cheesy Mushrooms to Start and a 9Oz Rump from the 30 Day Aged Section ( They have Black Angus 90 Day Aged). I also got the Rich Red Wine Sauce and Chips. Well I very quickly arrived in Taste Heaven. This place makes The Ivy in Leeds look like an Army Field Kitchen. And the fact they decided to extend the Lunch Menu but also gave out the Dinner Menu. I just had my First Wagayu in East London last Month which was 65gbp.....Do yourself a Favour.... Visited here for the first time tonight, food was amazing and staff were very welcoming. We had Charlotte serving us and she couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating for us, she’s very good at her job and would most definitely come back because of her. Tonight was our 10 year anniversary and she even fetched our deserts with “happy anniversary” wrote on them which was so lovely. Most definitely coming back again soon thank you

What a shame having to delete a 5 star review to add a poor one! Terrible customer service! I booked online for a party of 20 on a Friday evening to celebrate my son's 16th birthday. I received a confirmation email for the booking, stating that they would call me to confirm details. After receiving no call, I decided to pop in while passing by just to ensure everything was in order, only to be informed that they had no record of my booking. They mentioned they would accept such a large booking. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the experience, and then the deputy manager approached me aggressively, claiming they don't take bookings that large. She checked and discovered there had been an IT error, which had canceled my booking. The system failed to notify me via email or phone call, as was initially suggested in my first confirmation email. I reiterated that the experience I was receiving was quite poor. Astonishingly, the deputy manager insisted it was not their fault, as they relied on an external company for the system's management. I tried to clarify that it certainly wasn't my fault, yet I was bearing the brunt of their flawed system, inadequate customer service, and failure to communicate with customers. I was taken aback when the deputy manager asked me to stop shouting at her, despite my voice not being raised. Granted, my tone was likely slightly annoyed, but her unreasonable and aggressive demeanor was unwarranted. I felt as though I had made an unreasonable request by trying to book a large party on a Friday. It seemed like she was gaslighting me, implying I was the aggressive one in the situation. Just wow. I requested to speak with the general manager, who was extremely professional, calm, and polite. He offered to call me the following day to see if they could accommodate us, but unfortunately, they couldn't. Myself, my partner and children are frequent customers and wont be returning………. To uty manager, you have 7 less customers, so more time to put effort into speaking to other customers like absolute dirt!

We were seated quickly and our server explained everything clearly. Drinks arrived quickly and we chose starters and mains. The speed at which are courses were delivered was perfect. We were celebrating our approaching anniversary and the chef took the time to write Happy Anniversary on our plates, which was a lovely gesture. The restaurant was busy busy had a lovely quiet atmosphere. Looking forward to a return visit soon.

Steak expert today was Mihaela. She was very sweet and so funny. Very accommodating and made sure we were all comfortable. Never once rude or crossed the line. Was very polite and socialised well with children. Harry and Ollie both say she was the best. Best server to this day. Definitely deserves a raise or bonus!

So on this occasion I ordered the 30 day aged ribeye (12oz) coked medium as recommended, the steak arrived and I bit into the edge of the steak, quite dry and overcooked however I had ordered the red wine jus sauce so was able to deal with the dryness with the sauce, I persevered given that the steak was thinker in the middle part than the edge hoping it would be correctly cooked in the middle, when I got to the middle it was clear that the whole steak was overcooked so I left the steak at that point as I don't want to eat a dry steak. I ate on 20% of the chips, half the mushroom side I'd ordered (was ordered to accompany the steak and as I wasn't eating the steak the mushrooms got left as well) and was frankly really disappointed, with the greatest respect to the chef ribeye is one of the easier steaks to cook as it has fat in it so to get it as dry as he / she did constitutes quite a serious amount of over cooking. I advised of my annoyance and asked for my meal to be removed from the bill agreeing to pay for everything else as it had been fine including paying for the side dish i only ate half of (nothing wrong with it in itself). The manager came over and only offered me half of my meal refund as I'd eaten half of it, I explained that I persevered to see if the steak got more appropriately cooked as it got to the thicker part, he didn't accept that and still only offered me half of the meal cost back. I advised that if he did that I would never attend any Miller and Carter establishment again as I felt he was being disingenuous to me (frankly I felt he was suggesting I was trying to pull a fast one). He returned having thought about it with a 75% refund of my meal which although was more acceptable I still feel he should have refunded all of it given my dining experience was in effect ruined. Not happy and this experience will definitely be a factor in my dining decision going forward the next time I want a steak for me evening meal, not saying I won't go back to Miller and Carter again but will think twice before booking with you, shame as like all your restaurants the ambience is very good and generally the menu has the right kind of options on it.

What a disappointment . The starters came it was hot and tasted lovely. We were looking forward to the mains. We all order the butchers meat block.The fillet steak looked like it had been cut in half to make two. It was overcooked and barely warm.my daughter got their block but no plates. You could not get hold of the staff as it was so busy. I had to leave my seat to request their plates. Everything was barely warm. We told the waitress who was lovely who had been serving us but just replied oh. There was no offer to replace it. We both ordered lobster tails to go with it. These did not come until quite a while after. When they did once again it was overcooked. There was a gentleman behind us loudly. complaining he was the one getting the attention . As we were leaving I was going to ask for a manager but there was only 1 server about . When you go to a restaurant like this you expect the meals to be cooked and served perfect. Unfortunately on this occasion I felt very let down . Who brings the food before the plates . This meal was near to £400.00 Disappointed is not a strong enough word. We visited miller and carter on the 28th September as a family of 5. Having not visited before and hearing really good things about this branch specifically, I had high expectations. On arrival staff were lovely and welcoming and I cannot fault them, orders were swiftly taken and the waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful. Not long after ordering our starters arrived, these were lovely and fresh and couldn't be faulted. For mains we ordered the butchers block with a side of lobster tails. My parents main, sides and plates arrived alongside mine and my partners main meal. However, ours came with no plates, no sides and no lobster tail. The food was already cold and overcooked on arrival despite going on chefs reccomendations for "rare" cooked steak, as you can imagine after a 15 minute wait and finally tracking down a member of staff for our plates and sides the food that had been brought to us was barely edible, cold and chewy. I made the waitress aware that our food had now gone cold, to which she kindly replaced our beef dripping sauce and peppercorn sauce to pour over our cold steak. We left feeling extremely dissapointed after paying over £350 for this meal for my dads 60th Birthday and sadly after our experience won't be returning. It's a shame as it has real potential, maybe we just had bad luck.

The meal tasted like something I cooked at home, the service was standard service you get in any British restaurant, nothing special really.

Mihaela provided excellent service, very polite and friendly, checking everything is okay often and ensuring we had a brilliant night while celebrating a birthday. Abbi was very attentive. Table was a little cool but not enough to complain hense 4 star for atmosphere. Very good value lunch menu. Had halloumi fries which were lovely and a generous portion, followed by rump. Cheaper cut than I normally go for but as I said, it was good value on the lunch menu. It was cooked medium rare and all edible with little fat. Great for the price, finished with crème brûlée. Again delicious. All for £20! Wife was happy with her meal too.

An incredible experience start to finish could not fault anything, was greeted kindly at the door and shown to out table which was clean and with the candle lit. The service was efficient and quick and the waiting staff couldn't have done anything better for us. Maddie's manners and service where impecable during our visit, Shane and nick im told are the chef's and the steak I had was cooked to perfection and so was my partners, it has been a few years sine I have been here due to sub par service and food but tonight has changed my mind I will definitely be back soon!

We were greeted by Lucy who was lovely and showed us to our table. Charlotte was our server and she was excellent and very attentive and efficient. Robyn made all of our drinks at the bar which we couldn’t fault. Al and Dillon in the kitchen made sure all of our food and desserts were made to perfection and the steaks were cooked perfectly as requested. Lauran and Josh helped with the service of our food and everything was brought out quickly. I would 100% recommend Miller and Carter for any celebration !

Lovely food and fantastic service

The steaks are very good and well cooked the sauces and accompaniments are also excellent. The starters were acceptable, some better than others. Although we are usually to full for desserts the desserts are not usually tempting the reliance on cheesecakes, brownies and such makes our decision not to have dessert easier. The most annoying thing and it has bothered me about restaurants for some time is fly's flying around our table and food, we spent almost the whole meal shooing 2 fly's away from us and our food. I could see little action having been taken in the restaurant such as zappers, and it was so bad that the waitress suggested that having the candle lit may help, it didn't. It is not just this restaurant that have this problem and seem to do little to address it, so I have decided to make comment when reviewing, about the problem of fly's in restaurants if I encounter this problem.
