Route 15 in North Lincolnshire

I think this is the first time we’ve visited since it’s changed hands, and it didn’t disappoint. The food portions were really generous and the quality of food was good. I had the Mac and cheese and chicken which was lovely. Service was friendly and made us feel welcome. A few things that would make it even better… they have sachets of sauce which I don’t like at all… seriously, a bottle of ketchup or mayo goes a long way.. the seating is now looking dated but these weren’t issues that would prevent me from coming again.. Freakshakes….. you have to try these.. they were AMAZING

We visited on a Saturday to try the freakshakes for my daughters birthday. They're huge and very filling but wow theyre amazing. Plenty of choice both main meals and desserts. Lady who served us was really friendly and welcoming.

Lovely staff and beaut food we will deffo be coming back. Cheese burger was juicy - also received free deserts that look amazing!

Very rude owner let her staff down. Food was nice staff amazing terrible rude owner ! Not sure how managers can act like this

We've been here several times now as a family, and each time we have been so excited to try different things from the amazing menu! We are addicted to the halloumi fries, and the desserts are absolutely out of this world! Portion sizes are very generous and service is great! Would absolutely recommend to anyone! Can't wait to visit again.

What a meal, we had two different burgers and we were not disappointed. Such an amazing meal and huge too. My 9 year old daughter commented that it was better than McDonald’s Amazing standards and wow food thank you !!!

Used Route 15 for the first time today. It won’t be the last. I had the Big Pig it was a proper burger. It really couldn’t be bettered. The portion sizes are perfect. Comes with onion rings as well. I’ll be back soon

Absolutely delicious food we had nachos ( highly recommend ) / the big pig / the big cheese burger and it was all so nice . Staff are friendly and efficient. Prices are amazing for what you get and the quality of the food . We will return . Thanks

Very welcoming from the moment that door opens, food is delivered quickly, is of high quality and very good too! Cannot go wrong at the price of it either, will definitely be returning!

Really good experience eating here. I had the chilli dog with jalapenos and they were very accomodating to me and served without cheese and even made me a smoothie without dairy in it! My partner had the strip chicken with cheesey fries and a shake afterwards. Really good pleasant service and large portions and extremely reasonable pricinh. Absolutely would recommend!

My son and I missed Fathers Day together, however today my son took me to this American Dinner in Scunthorpe... Truly an awesome time in this lovely little dinner! The staff in here are fantastic and the food matches the service, if you live in this town or are passing don’t pass this place by. Thank you to you all I loved the music also... Had a wonderful visit to route 15 today. Such a brilliant selection of all time American favourites and very reasonably priced. Portions were massive and the food was delicious. Beautifully presented and excellent hospitality. Emma the owner made us all feel very special and she even let our girls mix their own milkshakes. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. It’s a family favourite and wouldn’t hesitate to pop in again next time we are passing from Leeds. Thank you.

Staff very friendly. Had the route 15 deluxe burger which was very nice better than the chain pub burgers with home made onion rings. Would recommend it.

Perfect food every time! Well worth the money (and great prices) and we will always be back again! Couldn’t fault anything, gorgeous food, super clean and incredibly friendly staff!

Visited with family for the first time, and it won't be the last. We reserved a table before seeing a show at the Baths Hall,and were pleased we did as it was busy. The food was lovely and hot, great portion sizes, and fab atmosphere. The owner took the time to say hello and to ask if everything was ok. The kids meal deal was great value (£5), in fact the whole menu in my opinion was reasonably priced (about £8 for a speciality burger which comes with fries and coleslaw). The food was good quality,inc fresh salad in the burgers and nice soft bread buns. I would just like to stress that this owner took over in October 2018, so older reviews probably won't be relevant now. I would recommend you book if you dont want to be disappointed as it got busy while we were there. Thanks for a great meal!

I would give 5 stars for food - huge portions, freshly made. Even home made coleslaw. The fries were piping hot and the burger, chicken and hot dog amazing. The menu is fantastic. I could have ordered about 20 things! I would give 5 stars for the decor and atmosphere - jukebox playing older hits and lots of American memorabilia on the walls. Red vinyl chairs and booths, smart serving area and clean toilets. I would give 4.5 stars for service - the young girls serving were helpful and friendly but they forgot one part of our order. They could read back the order from what they wrote in order to improve this! This wasn’t a big deal though, we didn’t mind. Overall this place is amazing and I only wish it was near to where I live so I could visit every week. It’s that good!

Six of us four adults and two kids (well a 16 year old and a 10 year old ) came for lunch . Very impressed with the service well presented and lovely served food . Filling and tasty , the Kentucky was the nicest chicken I’ve had in a very long time . It was very busy but they still served us quite quickly .

We visited Route 15 for somewhere to eat while visiting Scunthorpe. This was a lovely little place with a fab theme. The staff were warm and welcoming. The tables were clean and place tidy. There was an authentic American style menu too!

Great food, massive portion size, cute atmosphere. Only minor issues are not taking card (on that day at least) and items crossed of menu in marker. Great friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and/or go again if I ever found myself back in scunthorpe.

Pooped in to Route 15 for drinks and ice cream on a red hot day while shopping in Scunthorpe. The staff are very friendly and there is a good selection of ice cream flavours. Drinks were maybe a little expensive, £1.80 for a 33ml glass bottle of coke but then I guess they need to be served that way for the American look they are going for.

My daughter's are always going on about here so had the chance to go with one of my daughter's. Friendly staff good music food was really good will be back.

Been here twice now and food is amazing and jukebox always playing some good music which makes a nice atmosphere the decor of the place is so nice you can tell a lot of thought and money has gone into it

We visited this place for the first time today and wow what a place. The staff was great the food was amazing. Great value for money and it made me feel like I was on an episode of man versus food. My son loved it . Had the biggest burger ever and ate it all. Finally lol. Honestly if your ever in Scunthorpe you gotta visit this place. Please open up later on a Saturday so me and my wife can have a date night here. Food amazing, staff amazing and great clean place. Until my next MVF date.

Coldly smiled at as we went in. The girl at next table took orders for drinks, made drinks, then took orders for food. Another woman came in, who had been sitting out smoking (did wash hands) no apron, cam and showed us special boards. Tried to attract her attention and gazed at with a don't bother me expression. So we left. If this a is normal there's Only route the is going with that kind of service. Overall palace looks well laid out but no good if you can't eat and get attitude. Won't go back.

When we come here, we always say 'we'll get something small, then we can get dessert' - but then we always order off the special menu, so no room for dessert then! Last time we came we ordered the rodeo burgers, of which it's such a big portion, and it's probably one of the best burgers around.

Waiting 45 nearly 50 minutes for 2 chicken burgers, only to be told they 'forgot' our onion rings. I asked where it was after every other table had there food (all ordered after us), this was after about 35 minutes. They most likely forgot about us altogether and rushed it together. And to top it all off the bread bun was burnt.

Route 15 used to be lovely. Not quite sure what has happened but I definitely don't rate it now. Went to eat with friends. 2 members if staff on. Neither smiled or were welcoming. We ordered freakshakes to start. These were nice and because if this, I scored the second mark. Food however was awful. The sweet potato fries and chicken very overcooked, burgers dry and tasteless, and side order of coleslaw was so small it wasn't worth having. We didn't finish our meal and left very disappointed. Last time we went the food and staff were great. This was in complete contrast to our latest visit. Up your game route 15!

Prodigious experience. Unbelievable service, with cheery, friendly staff who seem to cherish their jobs, which is exceptional to see in an establishment. I had a colossal stack of maple pancakes with delicious, succulent bacon placed on top, which was a well thought out move. The French fries were lovely and not too oily. I adored the retro décor, it added a lovely ambiance to the Diner. I enjoyed the Elvis Presley and Audrey Hepburn posters/canvases on the smooth, painted walls. The ice creams were just delish; I got a Ferrero Roche scoop, and a cookies and cream scoop, with sprinkles and a flake, and my good chummy Charmaine got a red velvet scoop, and a bubble gum scoop, with sprinkles and a flake also. I thought the price was rather high, but it was certainly worth it for the delish ice cream that was served to us. Overall, I would recommend this establishment, as long as you don't mind the presence of the rough teens of Scunthorpe, who have elected this as their new 'Crib', to hang out with the 'mandem'.

Thought we would try Route 15 as not much choice in Scunthorpe for this type of food. First of all sat at table and it was all smeared like it had been wiped with a dirty cloth so I wiped it with the kitchen roll on the table. The kitchen roll was brown when I had finished wiping it! Not a good start. We tried 2 burgers off the specials and a few other choices off the main menu. In my view for £9 for a burger I would expect more than a frozen burger! It looked good but just not quality enough for the money. My son had a pizza and have to say this was very tasty. Service was good.

My wife & I went for a Drive Tuesday Brunch & each had a full stack of maple pancakes; hers with fruit, mine with bacon. Both agreed they were the best we have had outside of Canada. The staff were friendly & the whole experience very pleasant. Very reasonably priced too! Sure to be back.

Reserved a table to eat here with friends. The staff were accommodating and friendly. We ordered from both the specials board and the menu. The food arrived in good time, and the portions were huge! The only thing that disappointed was the quality of the beefburgers. They weren't great considering the cost. Everything else spot on though and would return again, but pick something else.

My boyfriend and I have just eaten here. Lovely food. Decent size portions. I didn't even have room for dessert :(. Friendly staff and quick service. Plenty of choice. We will be back. Xxx

Was quite enjoying my meal, but just as I was at the end of the burger meal, they started mopping the floor, over the top with disinfectant, the smell was making my eyes water, would have tried a desert had this not happened, wouldn't have been able to taste it!!!!

Visited early afternoon as a party of 3. We all ordered Rodeo burgers at £9.95 each I recall. They came with a small portion of coleslaw and fries. The bun of the burger tasted as if it had been frozen and thawed out, it crumbled when cut, The burger meat looked odd in texture and colour and tasted odd. The burger WAS large, but the chicken was tasteless the cheese half melted half not. All in all the three of us found the burger to be far less tasty than either Macdonalds or BurgerKing and far more expensive. The cold drinks weren't really cold as they were in a chiller, no ice or glass offered, just a straw. The service was good, the seat I sat on had seen better days, the table was a bit smeary, not cleaned properly. Very disappointed apart from the fries and the music. VFM? No. Would we return? Absolutely not. Sad really but I always strive to give a fair, balanced review as I found it on the day,

Visited Route 15 for a lunch. The decor is very 'American' themed, as it's an American Diner it's fitting. In the corner there's a Jukebox, it was playing old American music which we enjoyed. We took a seat and looked at the menu. Made our choices, waited for waitress.

My visit was on Saturday afternoon, we enjoyed the atmosphere of the place, with its up beat music & a clean, bright and colourful interior. The food was supplied in good portions, it was tasty and well presented. The staff were helpful and very pleasant.

Bring your appetite - this American-style diner don't do small portions (thank goodness!)

Went with the missus and kids, had burgers and chicken nuggets for the kids. The burger was fantastic, and the nuggets were real chicken breast pieces. Had an awesome milkshake too which was like having a dessert. Really enjoyed the food and the setting with its funky americana theme. Decent food, decent prices, will definatly go back and would certainly recommend a visit to anyone who hasnt been

Good value for money , what spoilt our visit was the service , just bare minimum service , quite poor really , the kids enjoyed their hotdogs . Not a great choice for vegetarians, (one burger ). I'd go again maybe for lunch if i was passing but i wouldn't make an effort specifically.

Been here twice now. The music and decor sticks to the 60s era and the food is fantastic. Word of warning, if you decide to have a waffle for dessert, be warned, they are bloody massive! Really nice but huge! Food is always cooked and very cheap for what you get. And the milkshakes!? Epic!

Thought we'd give this new place a try, it looked good on the pictures. First impressions are that it looked very nice, clean and bright. with smart booths. However on sitting down we discovered that the benches are not well made, you can either perch on the beam at the front or sit back and sink about 4". The staff were friendly but we weren't told to had to order and pay upfront at the counter, if you decide you want a desert later you would have to pay again, we had thought that calling itself a diner would mean a waiting service with a bill at the end. We both ordered a cheese & bacon burger meal (at a cost of £7.50 each plus drinks ) which came (the menu said) with fries, onion rings, lettuce, tomato & coleslaw. it came with one onion ring a small pot of coleslaw with some lettuce and a slice of tomato in the bun. It was nicely presented and looked good on the plate the fries were quite nice but the burger was awful! It tasted like one of the really low quality ones that you get from a catering van. It was quite crispy and chewy on the outside and a bit under-cooked on the inside which leads me to suspect they are frozen ones. Neither of us could finish them and we both had an unpleasant after taste for a long time. Needless to say we didn't bother with dessert.
