The best restaurants serving American food in Cheshire West and Chester North West

The food was lovely,the chef was amazing(Emma)t bone steak BANGING! The service wasn't as good as were used to,other than this experience was great. Just need to work on up selling,as I bought a glass of prosecco but wasn't told about the fizz Friday. I still rate a 5. Just a little bit more polishing on certain things.

We had planned a Friday day trip to Chester and after looking at various lunch options booked a table online at Opera. We need not have bothered to book as it was practically empty. The decor inside is lovely and we were warmly welcomed and seated. We were presented with the menus and asked if we had any food allergies (we were asked this three times by three different staff members), but good to be certain I suppose! After rather longer than expected we were asked if we wanted to order our drinks, we said yes and as we had waited a while we had decided on food choices so ordered our food at the same time. I ordered the salt and pepper ribs as a starter. These duly arrived and the portion was larger than I expected, I'm not sure if the menu specifically stated they were covered with tempura batter but they were very greasy and after eating two I left them. I did pount out to the waitress that they werent what i was expecting and not particularly pleasant to eat. My main was chicken caeser salad was much better. My partner had the tuna salad but sent it back as the tuna was overdone. He was asked if he wanted to order something else and he enjoyed his main when it arrived. We didn't stay for a dessert and requested the bill. When it came the returned tuna hadn't been taken off but when we pointed this out our bill was updated. All in all the staff were pleasant but a little bit disorganised and the food wasn't as great as I was expecting. Would I go back? Maybe.

What a nice little find this pub is. Not in the greatest of locations admittedly but a nice atmosphere, great friendly staff, and nice good value food . Will see you again

Fantastic service. Been for Sunday lunch, the Quiz and lunch today . Roast dinner was fabulous. Sticky toffee pud was divine.Lunch was Italian meatball nduja and cheese ciabatta and thick cut chips with a balsamic side salad. Very lovely. Garlic bread woth cheese onion and chilli is highly recommended too. Service from Henry was impeccable. Will be back to try more food.

Great takeaway - perfectly clean. Food tasty and piping hot. We went for some burgers because all the sit ins were so busy and we were really pleased that we had. We all had different burgers - an extra large bacon cheeseburger, a normal cheese burger and a classic burger - all with chips. The chips were so nice, really tasty. Lovely gentleman served us. Would return.

Superb service from JoAnne and superb food ❤️ Joanne is a real asset to TGI Friday because she is personable and kind. We will definitely come here again and again and again. Thanks JoAnne! You’re the best of the best!

I had such fond memories of this place but I am sad to say that I won’t be going back. It has completely lost its vibe and atmosphere. The decor, music and lighting used to be spot on and gave the vibe of Italian New York. Now the clinical white lights, stripped decor and ultramodern music has left this place feeling more like a canteen. It just doesn’t seem to know what it is anymore. The place is grubby, with broken seats in the booths and dirty floors. The food was overpriced, basic with cheap ingredients. The chicken tasted like the cheapest frozen chicken. The chicken stack had squeezy cheese with what appeared to be over processed bacon of some form. I question what percentage of pork it actually contained as it had the texture of a soft plastic. The fries were fine. The food took 45 mins to arrive. The staff were pleasant but I could feel they didn’t have the love for the place. I understand that though as the place looks like there is no investment from the top. I got the vibe that there is no effort in this place as there is an expectation of a constant stream of cash coming in from the shoppers. I don’t think there is any care if people return. My advice is don’t bother with this place. A real shame for what once was a good place.

We love this frankies and bennies and always visit even though its over 50 miles away The staff are always lovely fast service and amazing food This time there was a bill discrepancy and its not been a good visit this time i had a taste card which is 241 on starters mains and deserts yet they only took it off my starters and desert i tried asking the server why this was as there was no mains taken off and he said its the way it does it and i shown him the t&cs and still wouldnt get it So im not too happy

I’m absolutely disgusted to have visited this restaurant and to be asked upon arrival if I have any allergies, to which I responded yes and explained I cannot eat onion or garlic. I then went on to order the carbonara and asked the waitress to confirm with the chef that there is no onion or garlic in the sauce, to which she said she cannot check. The host who seated us explained she would let the chef know of my allergies so I’m unsure what the difference is. Surely the person who is cooking the food within the kitchen is able to advise what ingredients is in the dish. I was informed this is company policy and they can’t check the packaging, however when I visited the Cheshire oaks restaurant the waiter was incredibly helpful and checked the packaging of the chicken for me to assist. I feel discriminated against for having allergies, that are totally out my control. I was told by the waitress that she is protecting the company’s reputation as you would be liable if she checks… what would make you more liable is if I order something after telling you of my allergies and then I have a reaction. You seriously need to rethink your policy. Every other restaurant I ever visit will adapt their dishes to suit my allergies, as should all food establishments. I was told you will only confirm the top 14 allergens… as though people with all other food allergies are irrelevant! I have never been made to feel so discriminated against in my life. Disgusting!
