Sorry to add a bit of negative review after having reading most of the previous being do positive but we just didn't feel it....not a great selection of beers..not one ipa..bog standard gins an not even served in a gin glass....barman looked like he needed a break...no warm welcome from new management...tried the carvery a couple of weeks ago an sorry to say not great as the veg was overcooked.. roasties tiny an quite hard.... Great for watching football though!

Popped in for drinks after a walk locally. Not been in before despite living locally. Very impressed, a nice pub. Bright and spacious. Food looked good but didn't try on this occasion. Good for football if you are interested. Good range of gins and other drinks and a couple of well kept cask beers with Doom Bar being particularly good and no rip off prices either. More importantly staff very welcoming. Will return and try the food next time.

Great pub with lovely food! The new managers - Jay & Stephen have massively transformed the pub and its atmosphere. The food is fresh and so much better than it used to be, prepared and cooked amazingly by Stephen. They have all put a lot of time and effort into making this pub what it should be. A nice, friendly, welcoming local!

It’s a nice local with a decent choice of beers. Was reasonably busy when I visited at 3pm on a Tuesday afternoon in November.

Food is great and so is the pool table 👌

I love this place, sadly covid killed its vibe and the brewery owners need to spend some money on it to get its full potential, but Maria and her team do really well regardless. Fingers crossed it gets a makeover, they have great acts on and its in a catchment area so 🤞🤞🤞

Food OK, the coffee didn't taste of coffee at all, it was very unpleasant, they should change the coffee or at least use Nescafe

Avoid. Landlady abusive, especially when drunk. People smoking inside and ignoring non-smokers request for them to smoke outside. Not a nice place to enjoy the evening unlesslike watching drunk people argue.

Excellent service and choice of beers , wines and spirits The Pie and chips was very good served with a superb gravy Well worth a visit

Watching the Champions League final. Plenty of TVs, reasonably priced beer and not a bad atmosphere. Management are refusing to put the sound of the football on! Apparently the TVs are set at a low volume, despite them playing music through their PA loudly in the build up. Leaving at HT to watch it at home!

This pub is a godsend, after being let down by the Eastham ferry for my 40th birthday meal the lady ham was more than accommodating for me and my family with in 10 mins of notice, fantastic food and lovely staff. All I can say is thankyou Maria

Awful food , even worse atmosphere, thinking it was a family pub But clearly was more like local drinkers 24/7 accompanied by local scallys in tracksuits smelling of skunk, food i struggle to rate if your into micro/frozen with the surrounding smell of stale beer soaked carpet then this pub will be from you.Visited the toilet dodgy dealings going on

Great space for pool and genuine people

We had Sunday Lunch at the Lady Hamilton yesterday and sat in the Garden . The meal was excellent and much better than the Carvery lunch that used to be served . I had the beef and my wife had the pork , and a pot of gravy on the side And the price £6 each , couldn’t do this at home for the price . Service was top notch and very friendly Staff

Smokers in the main entrance so when the door opens all the smell comes in

I went to this pub with my family on Christmas day for a drink before our dinner. When I went to the bar to order drinks, there was no space at the bar and I asked a young man "excuse me can I get to the bar". He made no effort to let me get to the bar although he had heard me because he half turned his head. I was able to get my hand on the counter with money in my hand to attract the bar staff. This individual then put his arm in front of me, holding a pint glass. I asked him to move as I was then being served. He then put his face close to mine staring at me. He continued to harass me until I had had enough and told him I would see him side, three times.He refused and as I continued to try and place my order, then a woman started shouting at me using several ' F' words. At this point I was informed that I would not be served as I was to blame for the incident. I am 72 years old and was not going to argue with the bar staff, so I turned and left with my wife and daughter. This is a place I will never return to.

This is our local and we eat there every monday night because of the offer they have for mondays which is 2 for 1. The steaks are great and the rest of the menu is fabulous too!

No stars went in on recomodation on Monday .Ordered mix grill waited for the meal even though I was the only person who had ordered any food ..when the food came out sausage rock hard on the end left in microwave to long and missing tomato and an egg but eventually they came out What would it be like really busy

Under New mangement .....Sheila, Mel & Jo are all so friendly and welcoming. The pub is clean, the beer is lively and the entertainment is excellent. I had my 60th party here last night (a free venue) and everyone had a fantasic time. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make my birthday special. So glad to see this lovely local pub back to how it should be. I would highly recommend a visit.

disgusting toilets, no soap and lock broken on toilets, also rumours going round that if anyone reports a problem ie--- the above, or the flat beer they sell, apparantly they barr you, even if you have been a customer of good reputation and customer for 30 years! spend ya money elsewhere

I think the landlord of this dump should expect a visit from Trading Standards and Environmental Health. As there's no soap in the toilets, broken locks on the toilet doors and watered down flat beer and spirits. They would close you down in a heart beat. Only takes one phone call!!!!!!!!!! Doesn't even deserve one star!!!!!!!!!!!

nice family pub new staff are pleasant need to do something different like home made chilli and a pint with crusty bread for a set price food is a must to get people in 🤗

Peas were mouldy manager had attitude there lazy chefs can't even peel a potato also the burger was full of blood and rore. The fish was so greasy and slimy.

Very pleasant pub could become a regular only given three stars as I have not tried the food yet . The Staff are friendly and helpful . Will be back to try the food experience
