Absolutely superb on all accounts. Food quality, space and atmosphere, staff friendliness, and I cannot stress this enough - accessibility. Cannot wait to go back. Order the chicken fajitas!

A massive Thank You to the Staff who went out of their way to look after me today. As someone who is confined to a wheelchair I feel both members of staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a pleasant visit. Full breakfast nothing to write home about, very basic. Poached egg solid, bacon just about cooked, toast with a smidgen of butter, potato rosti over cooked. Not up to standard.

We went for a meal on a Thursday lunchtime. The meal was absolutely delicious. We both chose from the lunchtime menu, Char-Grilled Beef Burger, with added bacon, and Monterey Jack cheese. Then for dessert, we chose the Chocolate Fudge Cake served warm with clotted cream ice cream, and the Sticky Toffee Bourbon Pudding served with custard. Everything was served apetitisingly and was cooked perfectly. An absolute treat! We ordered a pint of Moretti and a large Wild Zebra Chardonnay. Chilled perfectly too. We had our dog with us, a nine month old perfectly behaved shihpoo pup. The staff even filled her bowl with water for her. Service was great! I would definitely go here again!

Had the fajitas with the bacon and cheese fries. Food was delicious, service was quick. However the server did try and up-sale on the wine. Childrens menu had a good selection.

Me and my partner came here for Valentine’s Day after a day out at Chester zoo and I can’t recommend this place enough! All of the staff were exceptional and very attentive, the food was excellent and the choice of drinks were great. I would definitely come here again on a visit to Chester and also a special thanks to Jacque who was very welcoming. 😊

Sunday 7.30pm & no Sunday Roasts left! So not off to a good start. Ordered 2 dinners & drinks. Drinks took 10 minutes to arrive & then 25 minutes later we got our food. Chicken salad was mainly just lettuce but Katsu Chicken to be fair was good. Service was very poor. Bill came to nearly 50 quid! Needless to say, we won’t come again

Everything you can ask for in one place, amazing service, delicious food & lovely environment. Steak was perfect, melt in the mouth… delicious flavours in the halloumi skewer & the cocktails are spot on. No other pub in Chester can match this as everything is perfected.

We like this pub as the family place. There is always a nice calm atmosphere with some good choice of food and drinks. The staff is always friendly. We feel comfortable to have dinners and lunches, especially when we have visitors, and not enough time to go too far.

Called into the hospital just down the road for a prescription felt a bit peckish so Called in here had gammon, egg,chips & peas with a pint very tasty. Excellent service staff do everything possible to help. Nice and clean . Thank you. Merry Christmas to you all.

We arrived with a family of 5, needing dinner to cheer us up. Darren and his staff were busy, but they managed to accommodate us without a booking. Service was excellent, food was hearty and filling. Kids' menu was good and fair value. Thank you very much!

We had our father’s wake at this pub for the afternoon. Callum and Victoria helped us from start to finish. Everything we asked for was never a problem. They were very welcoming and looked after us all very well.Darren and Lee helped out all afternoon. The buffet was excellent, the hot food was hot and the quality of the food was so good. Thank you to your wonderful team for making this very special. This is now very much our local.

Never been before until today, but will 100% be back, Stumbled upon this place by complete accident after being turned away elsewhere on a busy Friday evening. Staff were very accommodating and fitted our table for 2 in with no fuss. Service was absolutely faultless, was served by 3 girls Emma, Kia and Alannah and they were incredible, service was fast and great to see service with a smile for a change even in a very busy environment. And as for the food that was just as amazing as the service so hats off to the chef’s, had a ribeye steak cooked medium rare or shall I say cooked to perfection and the peppercorn sauce was one of the best I’ve had, the pancakes for dessert were amazing too. Pricing is reasonable and the pub itself is lovely and very clean. But honestly overall just cannot beat the staff there absolutely 10/10 Cannot wait to come back 😀

Popped in for a late breakfast but ended up with a three course meal for £7.99! Food was gorgeous and it said smaller portions but by no means were they in my opinion. To be honest I could have just had the two courses for £5.99 but you have to stretch to a pudding :-)Emma, the lady working there couldn't do enough for us and she worked really hard.The pub is very modernly decorated with a lovely warm feel.Will 100% be visiting again.

First time here for a long time. Service was great. Met at the door and shown to a table. Staff friendly and professional. Food was inexpensive but good quality and well cooked. Surprisingly good for what we paid. Overall very impressed and we look forward to returning soon.

So we went there as a party of 9 for my wife's birthday and was greeted by a very nice waitress, her timing for the food and drinks orders was spot on, we had the 2 for £10 meals, I had the gammon with pineapple wedge, OMG it was amazing so juicy and tender! The food and service is fantastic! Well done guys keep it up!

Above average quality but still a chain pub grub. Be prepared to wait a fair while for your drinks. Ok sized portions, ok prices.

Came here for lunch today the food was amazing and presented in such a lovely way. The service we received was top notch and our waitress Kyra and waiter Lewi was lovely and helpful. Will most certainly be returning!

Absolutely disgusting ordered mixed grill most of it inedible,sausages black pudding chicken all burnt asked if everything ok I said not really so they took the black pudding away and brought another when I'd finished it was all inedible and had to ask for cutlery and condiments

Visited this pub with family. Lovely setting and friendly staff. Good choice of food on the menu. Would not advise anyone to order the Roast Dinner. There was no turkey left so we were offered chicken instead which was acceptable. However when the meal arrived the presentation was awful. There was a huge amount of mashed potato, a very pale looking chicken breast, cauliflower and pale cabbage which were practically cold. The only hot and colourful item on the plate was the roast potatoes. The whole meal was very bland and lacked colour and flavour. The waitress did offer to warm the meal up but we declined. We spoke to the manager who was very apologetic and did not charge us for the three meals. the other meals ordered by members of our party were fine as were the desserts. It was nice that our complaint was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Have assured the manager that we will probably visit again due to the nice way we were treated.

Emily and team pulled it off again! Wine tasting of 6 wines, canapes all for £6. Excellent value, good fun and really enjoyed the evening. Followed by food from their main menu, excellent value at 2 for 10.99.Keep it up guys, really appreciate the local support.

We visited The Oak Tree tonight and had starters and mains and the food was spot on! For starters we both had chicken Tortillas and they were lovely, for mains I had rump steak which was cooked perfectly and very lean, my partner had the gourmet burger which he really enjoyed! We were served by James and Kyra who made us feel really welcome and made sure we had everything we needed, we will be back!

Last Monday we visited the Oak Inn after driving from Wrexham to the far side of Chester with a fee diversions.

Beautiful food enjoyed by all. Excellent service and very friendly especially Emma,Emily and Kira. Will definitely go back.

Been here a few times for food and for the odd drink. A really nice local pub with a friendly atmosphere and decent deals. Most recently, we came for breakfast which was really tasty and good value, especially with the NHS discount they offer on meals. Look forward to coming again

Myself and my partner are staying in chester tonight and after searching for a place to eat we came across this restaurant. On first impression the place was clean, tidy and had a comfortable atmosphere. We were greeted and shown to our table at which point our waiter Kieran came over to introduce himself which we were impressed with. The food was absolutely fantastic and perfectly cooked. The one part of the whole experience that really stood out though was the service that we received from Kieran. He was polite, professional and came with a host of amazing advice and suggestions on the food. It was so refreshing to actually visit a restaurant and have a waiter who had a good sense of humour, quality and useful advice on the food and most of all treated us and spoke to us like human beings. So many places I visit the waiters speak to you without a sense of any actual interest in serving you..... this was not the case with Kieran at all. Kieran made a real point of speaking to us like humans showing real interest in the conversation, using his own views and giving amazing advice all with a friendly, polite and professionally humourous nature. I run a business myself and I can say hand on heart that based on what I have experienced tonight I would employ this lad hands down..... it was a pleasure to be served by him and due to this and the overall experience I will happily drive the 52 mile journey to come back again.

Came for something to eat while visiting the area, the oak tree seemed the best value for money online so off we went.. we had Kieran as a waiter most of the evening and he was awesome, others came to the table to ask if everything was ok at times which was nice but badly timed, kieran had come to the table just at the right times to ask and had been extremely accommodating with requests made by ourselves, the food was very nice and very reasonably priced! Enjoyed the food, lovely down to earth service from Kieran with fantastic advice on the menu options in a polite and professional manner, definitely visit again!

Now that the Frog/Brewer’s Arms is gone (again), this place is definitely the best place for food on Liverpool Road. My fajitas were delightful and my mac n cheese was nearly as good as my auntie Sharon’s. This place is dog-friendly, as are the staff, such as Dylan, who are very attentive.

Fajitas were delicious and the alcohol free options were plentiful. Excellent space for a family meal. Service was very attentive.

We visit The Oak Tree fairly regularly. There is a very reasonably priced lunch menu and a deal on two mains from the main menu.

Mid afternoon on a Friday saw our visit to this establishment,a few years old now & has changed it's name & decor a few times,it's latest being the Oak Tree.

Just visited the Oak Tree for the 1st time and we will definatley be back. Service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble, Kieran even brought a dog treat for our 16 week old puppy and some water, who also received lots of fuss. Finally found a local place with fab food that we can bring our dog if we wish too. The Dipping steak with sauces was to die for. Melt in your mouth. Thank you Kieran and Lewis. We will be back soon. 2 adults and 3 hungry kids! 8oz rump steak cooked PROPERLY rare for a change and it was delicious. Clean plates all round and decent coffee too.

Great value for money, really enjoyed the food and very clean. But most of all the service was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble. In particular the deputy manager Lewis, he was a cheerful and attentive person who really went that extra mile to make our experience very special. We would definitely recommend and will be going back.

Visited for one of the girls birthdays, great food and atmosphere and 2 for 1 Bellinis on a Friday was a bonus - definitely recommend. Served by Lewis.

Wow what a visit to The Oak Tree this was it was a very busy evening but it was awesome, Lewi was on the door as we walked in and we was taken through to the restaurant, Charlotte looked after us all evening and she was amazing... I had the hunters chicken and my partner had the dipping steak.
