The best restaurants serving American food in England

I ordered my food at 23:30, got accepted with a deliver confirmation No. and everything, Constant updates on the site with slightly changing delivery times, a courier is at the store etc etc. I'm salivating at his point, y'see; I work with Americans and Japanese programmers online so my work hours are Skewed from a typical British work week, but that's fine as I am a night owl anyway .. and I was simply desperate for some fried chicken. Until we get to 1am and on the nose 'your order has been cancelled and refunded if any payment was taken' Okay, Fine .. if they'd told me that at 11:35. I'm diabetic, I don't order such food because I need the old Doner GPS to get home (ie I'm not inebriated and ordering a cheeky f'ing Nando's here) but because I need to eat and maintain blood sugar balance or I might, y'know, Die? This might not seem like a big drama, but Langley Mill is *not* a big place, neither is Heanor its conjugate town and trying to order delivery food of a decent option at 1am on a Sunday morning is ... well, it's not easy, lets say. Not the first time these guys have f'd me over either and I'm not taking it anymore. Nor buying it anymore. I am not trying to be privileged here, I was at a well reasonable time to order food, and they took my money then hung me out to dry.

I tried to order the popcorn chicken and chips I waited half and hour in parking bay one, the chips were spggy and the chicken tasted like what I imagined my nans feet to taste like. The staff were rude and called my nan rude names. Absolutely LIVID. 🤬😡😠

Having arrived late at my daughter’s in New Haw we decided to feast on a banquet courtesy of the Colonel. Not being expertly proficient in IT I decided to place our order via the KFC app and opt for collection. Job done, Order placed and paid for, I headed to the franchises to collect our much anticipated bags of delight. Order collected, I headed to my daughters house to be greeted by four eagerly waiting faces, Managing to manoeuvre my way to the kitchen and avoiding the circling vultures I placed the bags on the worktop. Seconds later, I heard the screams and anger, missing items ! Not only were there missing items but they were my daughter’s order, no gravy or chips. Not wanting to be asked to leave her house, I offered her a share of my gravy and chips. Once the rules regarding double dipping were established, we tucked in. Then disaster, Imagine my disappointment when half way through my Zinger box meal, I discovered my Buffalo Bites chaser were also missing 🤬 I cannot criticise the quality of the food, delicious as always, but the missing items caused unhappiness. I should have known better, it must be part of the training package to disappoint customers by not placing all of the items ordered into the bag. Remember folks, check the contents of your KFC bags prior to leaving the premises.

I wish I had read the other reviews before having my meal Poor is an understatement. KFC is usually fresh, not overdone and a variety of chicken pieces. Had the bargain bucket for one. Always get a drumstick but on this occasion that’s all you got. Drumsticks!!!! Thought of complaining but looking at them I don’t think it would sink in. Boooooo!

Entire place was a mess it was disgusting and disrespectful and when asked that had not cleaned it up and refused and told us all to move. Yet the entire place was a mess. I honestly wish I hadn’t seen it worst night of my life. All that bacteria.

Staff are appalling, long queues, get to the window 9/10 get told to park up as food is never ready when you get it it is cold honestly just get to Alfreton this is not worth the visit if going towards Mansfield go either Sutton or kings mill McDonald’s

I ordered food but the burger was very cold and uncooked . I complained to staff and they given another one which was even worse . I spoken to team leader in charge and she stated that bins are never hot and cheese never melts. She aslo given wrong refund and customer service is terrible and tables are never cleaned and food is always left around. Even when you complain they never say it’s their fault but they don’t do nothing about it and states they helped solved the query but they didn’t do nothing to help. Disgusting !

Mensaje para Manager: ¿Por qué cada vez que ordeno la entrega de ESTE KFC, recibo solo piernas. Pedí un cubo de 10 piezas y todo eran piernas. Conduje allí al día siguiente para quejarme. Hoy (14 de abril de 2025), pedir comida de 2 piezas y un envoltorio, se le dio 2 piernas. Si solo vendes piernas, por favor anúncialo como tal. Totalmente ridículo pero parece que es la norma. Chick o Mak Halal a partir de ahora.

Crap, asked for large meal, got small chips and the meal was cold. It’s the same every time. I would give 0 out of five if I could. Don’t waste your money, crap

Food was cold and tasted bad ordered a mini flame snack box meal and didn’t receive the wrap. I then politely said I didn’t receive a wrap and the worker said u did when I didn’t .

This is By Far the worst KFC ever . if you want to spend your hard earned cash i suggest you try another KFC I ordered 2 zinger burgers 2 chips and 2 drinks . i got 4 chips 1 zinger and 2 drinks , no napkins , no sauces and very very cold food . It tasted so non finger licking good basically very bland . they do not pick up the phone which i feel was deliberate due to them closing in 20 minutes . Now being as i am an ex member of the KFC Team . These traits are often expected from staff and basically take the phone off hook so there aren't any complaints Leaving people to just forget the experience and move on . now i know all you people out there are hungry but please do not waste your money on these types of gimmicks often pulled by KFC . I'M NOT A DISGRUNTLED EX MEMBER OF STAFF Just a person looking out for you paying customers

First problem my order of two triple cheeseburgers and one large fries became two double cheeseburgers and two medium fries. Second problem the burgers were almost cold and the fries were a lot hotter than the burgers. The last problem is that I collected in car from take out but only when I parked in their car park were the problems discovered. It was chucking it down with rain so I didn't complain as I should have done.

Certain rude staff with brunette hair and glasses was rude when asked a question nicely staff gave dirty looks and service was shocking. Will not be returning. That one server needs training on how to be nice to customers.
