My husband and myself went to this restaurant yesterday. We are older people and my husband is 70. Order no 6031 1:22 pm. Positives: Parking was good, restaurant was very empty so plenty of tables and seasoned fries were tasty. Negatives: Staff were extremely unhelpful and lacked any care or customer service. There were at least 3 staff behind the counter, they stood together chatting, as no customers were coming in. We were the only ones there and just a family at another table. The impression was 'overstaffed'. We thought someone could have helped, as they have 'Happy to help' advertising in the area right in front of them. We took a long time to work their unfamiliar machines, our ticket even says 'delayed order'. We visited the till area at least 4 times to ask questions, firstly can we pay by cash, do they serve coffee and twice to ask how to place our order and then to ask for some help. Each time they just pointed at the ordering machines. Finally, to ask if they had any table numbers for the table service, which was offered by the machine. I was told there are no table numbers, they will note where we are sitting and bring the food to us. The tables were not very clean and had crumbs on chairs, we found one which was just ok. When our order was ready a staff member shouted our number from the till. I called back we have ordered table service. The reply was 'we don't do table service'. I was obviously frustrated at my experience, left it a few minutes, and they did not bring our meal over. There was no one in the queue or being served at this time. I asked to speak with the manager privately about the experience. This was done over the counter. The manager listened to my complaint and asked which members of staff I was referring. All 3 female staff members were of a similar height, age, and wore cultural head coverings, and had no name badges. They were all customer facing and were aware of our difficulties. The manager apologized and said it must be a language issue and she would speak to them. The manager was kind and empathetic, which I appreciated, as I was feeling disrespected. I was upset that the staff were laughing at our difficulties as we were older customers. I recommend some enhanced customer service training, as currently those staff would not be able to help customers who have a disability, hidden or physical, or who are unable to operate the machine. This is a lost opportunity for customers from the disabled community who may wish to visit independently and have a positive experience. I suggested management study the CCTV to see how poorly our order was handled. I will add that we regularly use the McDonalds and Burger King machines and also choose sometimes the option to order at the till. These businesses seem to ensure every customer is treated equally and maintain their service levels. Also, table service is offered, even in their busy London restaurants.

Waited 12 minutes for my order, despite it being made and I stared at it for 9 of those 12 minutes. Toilets disgusting, tables not cleaned and dust on the partitions between tables. Not managed well at all. Needs a random health inspector visit, or a KFC executive visit. I won’t visit again

AWFUL AND BIZZARE!!! Firstly.. the drive thru queue was 30minutes long because their ordering machine was faulty. Because it is a single file drive thru the only option was to wait, as you could not leave. Secondly.. I arrived at the window and I was advised that their scanner wasn't working either, so I had to go inside to place my order if i was using an offer on the app, or place the order on the app itself - At their request I placed 2 app orders (as I was planning on placing 2 separate orders at the order machine) The manager got annoyed for some reason after giving me the first order and he refused to acknowledge me sat at the window. I continued waiting, thinking maybe my food was cooking and suddenly they CLOSED THE SHUTTERS ON ME! They then sent staff outside to evacuate everyone that was behind me in the drive thru - Very odd behaviour! Customers were beeping and swearing at me and my child, obviously unaware that I was there to collect food, rather than just to be a nuisance. After a while staff came outside and threatened to call the police on me if I didn't move - this was the FIRST INTERACTION i had had with any staff since collecting my first app order. (There was no dialogue prior to closing the shutters as the manager had simply refused to make eye contact) I said that I was waiting to collect my second order and showed her my app and...... just like that, she went inside, opened the shutters, handed me my food (with extra gravy as a very poor attempt at an apology) and I drove away. VERY ODD BEHAVIOUR! A lot of stress, money lost for KFC and annoyed customers and I'm still not even sure why.

I went to KFC Riverside for a takeaway last night 12/3/23 I was appalled by the state of this venue. The floor was so greasy you was sliding across it. The toilet was filthy. The cookie display cabinet was covered in grime and fingerprints from the inside. The food was cold and not cooked. Never again

We are inside KFC (Riverside branch in Northampton) with my friend and business partner for late lunch. The anorexic (very small) sized chicken pieces that were served to us were dried up. I immediately pointed this out to the server who replaced it with similar dry chicken pieces. The chicken wings in particular were so dry that I could not taste anything. In all honesty, this was probably my worst KFC food experience and truth be told, the customer service was equally as poor. Come on KFC, you need to sort yourselves out.

Arrived just before lunch-hardly anyone about. 4 youngsters in the car. Ordered 4 kids popcorn chicken meals-all the same nothing complex. Gives us the ice cream and tells me to pull up and someone will bring my food shortly. Gets to 15 minutes later and still no food, try phoning-nobody answers. Don’t really want to go in as 4 kids in the car-reluctantly go in. Woman on the till-ask where food is as been waiting 15 minutes for someone to bring outside. She huffs and says it’s coming. 5 minutes later a boy brings it and can see that I’m annoyed and just says sorry for the wait. I should think so as having to come and collect your own food 20 minutes after ordering in a drive thru is pretty poor. Food was ok but ice cream obviously melted.

came up to visit my gran who fancied kfc, she isnt mobile so she cant get out to get this herself so we went and collected. i ordered the triology box meal and the chicken in the burger was RAW. absolutely shocking, this put me off eating the rest of my food. i got about 6 pieces of popcorn chicken, a handful of chips and cold gravy. selected the watermelon drink and paid 20p extra, i did not notice my drink was incorrect until the lid that didnt fit the cup correctly fell off and i ended up dropping my drink. managed to save enough for a few sips and turns out it was pepsi. selected the supercharger dip and wasnt given any. my dad ordered seperately and requested some breast pieces, was rudely told no you get what you're given. the customer service is absolutely shocking to just be told 'no', they didnt even offer to see what they can do! your staff need some training on proper customer service! to make matters worse, i ordered using the touch screens and i didnt get a receipt so i have no proof of purchase! luckily i took a photo of the order number on the screen. i will NEVER return to this kfc whenever i visit northampton. (photos do not do justice of how pink this chicken was). there should be an option for 0 stars because it is not even worth one.

I went through the drive way, order for hot wings 20. Was not avaliable 20 wings, so ordeees for 10. When I got the wings I said thank you but the staff who was their ignore my response and that lady shut the window. They charged same amount of money for 20 hot wings for 10. The staff are rude and arrogant. Thank u.

My wife and I visited this KFC on our way to Heathrow Airport. We could hardly hear the assistant as she muttered through taking our order and she ignored the fact we had taken our own cups to cut down on waste. The KFC have a Half hearted Vegan attempt at catering for vegans. The burger in a WHITE bun is alright and definitely nothing special. My wife left hers and bought chicken. The chips are cooked in animal fat. We will not visit again

Disgusting, worst KFC in the country. Arrived at 9pm and everything we ordered must have been cooked and left standing for at least a couples of hours. Chips were cold and soggy, chicken was greasy and lukewarm, corn was also cold. We’ll never visit this place again and recommend everyone gives it a wide berth.

Ordered chicken mini fillets sharing for family........near our table was ants party on the wall!!! unfortunately my husband got fillet with BONE, thank God he didnt broke his teeth, I handle this bone over the counter , but not sure if guy understood whats happened,because he asked me few times if I want to order fillet....LOL...never mind.was too tired too explain or argue.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve nothing against fast food outlets, in fact I use KFC fairly often and it’s always been up to the standard you’d expect from such a place - the Ritz it ain’t! BUT, we visited the branch at Riverside Retail Park near Gt Billing in Northants today and wondered why they weren’t anywhere near as busy as the other restaurants close by - we were soon to find out.... Of the #20 tables in there, 7 were still covered in spilt food and empty food containers. There was no one waiting so we could order immediately from a girl at the till who’d decided she should look anywhere but at the customer she was serving! (Boredom?) we ordered the new Southern Bites as advertised, she asked us 3 times what we’d asked for (her English wasn’t good) then entered our order into the till. The next thing, the manager came over to her shouting “there are no bites! No bites! None!” He took her off that till and served us himself. He ignored us when we suggested that the very new well advertised item shouldn’t run out before 1pm on a Sunday. The food itself once we’d re-ordered came quickly and was up to the normal KFC standard - so all we had to do was search through the debris to find a clean table! The waste bin was overflowing which might account for why customers were not cleaning their own tables? You live and learn Mac D’s and Harvester are on either side of this awful place!

Toilets are disgusting all the time.Bins always overflowing and food and rubbish on the floors every time i have visited. Staff stand behind counter chatting rather than keeping the place tidy.You need to check your order carefully as staff dont always listen or forget to give you some of it.Difficult to get the pieces you really want as thye seem to put a limit on what you can have.used to be good but has hit rock bottom really.Mangers need to sort their staff out and get this back up to a clean healthy state not just hiding around the back chatting.If you use the drive through dont expect to get what you wnat as constantly had missing parts of my order or bits i dont even eat replacing what i asked for.

No queue, food good - hot, tasty, more than expected. My partner's Pepsi was served in a Pepsi Max cup, so he queried whether it was ordinary Pepsi, as he didn't want Pepsi Max. The server immediately replaced the drink with one we saw had been poured from the ordinary tap, which impressed my partner.

Absolutely terrible today. Shop assistant didn't know what to do or how to help us. Others were having the same problem. People were giving up and walking out. Lack of effective management in there at 4.30 on the 27th Feb 2018. Assistant didn't understand people's order requests.

Had lunch here and was shocked at the small portion of fries that you get with a meal. Also noted the chicken portions have shrunk so in my view KFC no longer offers good value unless your opting for a bargain bucket!

Fui hoy para mi comida de cumpleaños, lo sé, pero me gusta KFC! No estaba lleno en absoluto, así que debería haber sido una bandera roja, pero cuando te apetece algo. . . La comida era horrible, el filete hamburguesas eran casi frío y mi hamburguesa, el pollo estaba tan duro, como si hubiera estado sentado en algún tono cálido. No se deseche comida después de un cierto tiempo como MCDONALD'S? Estoy seguro de que no las tengan. Las patatas fritas eran cosas lo siento, como si nos avergonzó a ser servido. Sin embargo, los granos eran geniales, pero ¿cómo puede equivocarse con frijoles y superficial? La coca cola solo sabía de agua buñuelos. ¿Por qué tantas KFC parece en tal estado hoy en día y sirven como basura? Mcdonald's tienen franquicias y que todavía puedan tener un aspecto limpio y sirve comida caliente de calidad. Después de leer las críticas anteriores fui a este restaurante con un poco de miedo, sin embargo, no encontré ninguna de las cuestiones planteadas anteriormente. El servidor de mujeres era competente y rápido (aunque una sonrisa podría haber sido recibido bastante mejor que el pan muerto). Esperamos unos 5 minutos por la comida. After ordering I waited at the window for 7 minutes without being greeted, advised the food was being collected or advised there would be a short delay. The miserable girl thrust a card machine at me while being rude to another car making their order via the headset. After balancing the overflowing bag all the way home we find missing food items. It's not just the customer service that is dead here its the professionalism. AVOID

Used the drive through - fairly fast service - miserable server- Having Driven home to find, or not find, missing fries that have been charged for as I checked with the order taker. Food was cold. Not worth fuel to drive back and no answer on the phone- Not the first time drive through missed the order.

Went there on Friday 11th December with my two children. I was half way through the chicken fillet when i looked down and to my horror the chicken appeared to be not fully cook although I really don't profess to be a chef so I wasn't 100% sure, i didn't wish toalarm my 2 children so I said nothing and mad an excuses that i had lost my appetite. We went home and yes later that evening I can confirm my fear of the chicken fillet kicked in and I was then promptly up all night being ill! I have now vouched to never step into a KFC again and i will be registering a complaint with the relevant people on Monday morning.

Went for the drive through (should be called the park in) - ordered then stuck waiting for over ten minutes - a car in front and one behind so couldn't drive away.Got to the till and he hadn't got my order so had to repeat it ans wait again, whilst watching the three staff outside having a cigarette (no wonde we were all waiting so long) - got the order then dropped my change - asked to talk to the manager - not available - probably having a cigarette!!!APPAULING SERVICE AND CUSTOMER APATHY - THE MANAGEMENT NEEDS SORTING OUT !!!!

Ok so after having half our food missing on a previous visit and the rest stone cold our complaint to so called manager and assistant went in one ear and out the other requested food back for refund to reimbursed erm yeah ok ill dig all ur rubbish cold food out the bin.... so we left it a while guess what no change still couldnt organise a knees up in a brewery food missing again... so we left it a while again and this may come as a surprise..... nope thats right...long wait food cold food missing bloke at counter didnt know what he was doing so contacted head office to my utter shock this site has been praised..... really!!!! after this visit even with a free meal voucher for 1 (total bill for all 3 occassions £138.97 for 2 adults 5 kids i feel well compensated note the sarcastic tone) will not be using this pathetic excuse for a store again i dare say i wont get a response from the store either as last time we managed to get through got told by manager that number on google was wrong... well it hasnt changed and their head office just confirmed it so guess they just cant be bothered to answer the phone for the barrarge of complaints. Take my advice SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE..

Once again staff at Kfc fail to get the order right!!!!!!!I paid £51.77 for a family meal but on returning home I was short of 5 items from the order.I was fobbed off with the standard "we'll give 25% off your next order" but I don't think I've ever placed an order yet and received it complete. I shall never order KFC again .

50 minutes been on the phone and no answer! What's the point of having a phone if nobody answers it! Completely messed up our order asked for chicken strips gave us some other chicken ordered beans which was on the receipt gave us chilly dip which we never ordered. Ordered 3 bbq snack wraps only received one. Ordered tower burger received zinger burger. They don't even sound a like! I expect vouchers for the food we did not receive plus extra vouchers for the whole inconvenience and using our petrol to have to drive back down again because the workers here are too lazy to answer their phone!!!!!

Just popped in for a quick bite to eat. Had I looked around the restaurant area before ordering food I would of walked out. Practically every table was full of left food. The floor was covered in places with chips and food. Avoid it disgusting place. I did complain to the supervisor before leaving.

Its been a long time since I've had a KFC and decided to get one from KFC Riverside.Restaurant was a cold, sterile place, devoid of any atmosphere, the staff were freindly enough but we had a very long wait for our food, far longer that any other 'Fast' food joint.The foods arrival didn't make things better, crumpled was the main discription for everything.Used to like KFC food but this visit has left me cold, still on the plus side it wasn't as bad as the Harvester next door, thats one to really avoid.

I did not actually go into this cafe but witnessed an amazing act of humanity from the 2 staff members inside their store during the late shift of 14/09/2023. Without going into too much detail, where others would've kicked someone out of the store these two ladies ensured that their customer was dealt with, with compassion, humanity, patience. Great to see kind people still in the world.
