Excellent service from Davina and fantastic food. Highly recommended.

It's always nice and tidy, and the food is amazing. The prices are a bit higher, but you get quality food for it, so it's definitely worth it. Update: It's still my favourite place to get my fix for a steak.

Great service, lovely food and staff

The steak was well cooked. The chips were not great. No sweet potato fries which was disappointing. Decor here is very tired. Needs a revamp. All was generally not up to the usual miller & carter standard’s.

The meal was very mediocre … there was barely any meat in the stuffed bone marrow, my steak was mostly cold - my partners food was cold - the only decent thing was the babacoa mac and cheese. Considering we spent £140 which is a lot to us but it being my birthday we wanted a treat. Unfortunately we were very underwhelmed

This was the second bad experience we had in the Northampton restaurant. The first time the food wasn't great, and we put it down to maybe an off day. Then we gave it a 2nd chance. Food wasn't available that we had ordered. Service was slow and cutlery arrived dirty. We have had many good experiences in your restaurant, but after two bad experiences, we feel that we no longer will return. Many thanks Nancy & Paul

Everything was excellent from the food to the service given by the staff. Very friendly and helpful. Steak was gorgeous. We are definitely going back again.

Visited on a Saturday night and it was a very delightful experience. Friendly and efficient service, food was quickly served, hot and utterly delicious. Sarah, our server was super attentive, made sure we were all satisfied and made the evening even better! Extremely enjoyable evening, well definitely return!

Everything from the moment you walk through the doors, to when you leave, is perfect. Great food paired with great and friendly service. The atmosphere could be better, but it didn't look too busy as we were in a side section of the restaurant. Look forward to coming back, maybe on a Saturday night. Absolutely amazing food, very much worth the price. We even took a little box home as it was too much! It was my birthday and although we were too full to have a dessert the lovely waiter Ollie came out with this little surprise which really was a cherry on the cake. The kitchen staff made our evening wonderful with food, and Ollie has given us a remarkable service starting with a great table, through his warm smile and ending with a little sweet touch. Thank you!!!!!

Turned up 21:50 on a Friday not knowing the house rules apparently turned out we couldn’t be seated cos their last reservation is at 21:45. More than that the place was dead empty. 0 customer service

The service was superb. The food was great with one exception, the cheesy mushroom starter lacked flavour and seasoning.

All steak in the shared meat platter was tough. We also had lamb which was very dry. Waitress was very good and pleasant. The prices are expensive so i would have expected perfectly cooked food. Not a great experience.

Our server micheal went above and beyond to make our whole experience amazing, would highly recommend.

Every vegetable was sautéed or deep fried within an inch of its life. Wine isn't kept at an ambient temperature, subjecting the bottles to spoil. Missing lightbulbs from a number of fittings and the dining room was scattered with space heaters (not switched on). Staff doing the best they could with the produce and the environment.

We had lovely service from Davina! She was very efficient in taking our order and making sure we had everything we needed and had great knowledge of the menu! The food was great, highly recommend the fillet steak and crème brûlée for dessert! I also had a lovely treat made for my birthday with the desserts as Davina asked at the beginning if we were celebrating anything and we informed her it was my birthday, so thank you again!

Had a really good night out here. Food was excellent but the highlight was the service we received from a young menu host called Alice . Professional new the menu and even recommended wines for our differing choices . Some of our party are difficult to please but Alice took it in her stride . Can't praise Miller and Carter enough we'll definitely be back soon. We'll make sure to book first and ask for Alice .

Lovely staff, Will was very helpful and recommended a few options whoch turned out to be a best choice for the evening. Food was brilliant would definitley visit again soon. Well recommended.

Excellent service from the moment we walked through the door till the moment we left, all the staff seemed so friendly and helpful. The starters were very tasty and good size portions, the main course’s were cooked to perfection with plenty on the plate, and the coffee and mini desserts were delicious.

Had a lovely meal with my boyfriend. Steaks were great and the service from Micheal was excellent. However the espresso martini wasn’t the best, otherwise overall experience was great!

Everything was wonderful: The team members were very professional & Polite, the Chefs are absolutely brilliant with the way they cook and present meal. The drinks were fantastic. The service was the best we’ve ever had anywhere, and Miller & Carter are obviously brilliant at training their staff. Could not & would not fault anything. I’d be surprised if you could better anything.

Miller and Carter continue to be a great place for a steak meal or anything else they serve. The fixed price lunch menu is a bargain. I had a rump steak, and my wife had pork. Service was really good - Davina was our server. We were celebrating our 51st Wedding Anniversary.

Came for our anniversary. The food was absolutely incredible and the service from Michael was was first class! First time coming and walked through everything clearly and was so helpful throughout! Would definitely recommend and will be returning again soon.

Went for date night and we had a fab time. Food was great. Served by Michael - he’s looked after us a few times over the years and nothing is too much trouble for him. Very attentive and genuinely happy to be there! Looking forward to visiting again.

It was amazing! Our server Michael was incredible, nothing was too much trouble, he was polite and friendly and gave great information about the steaks and wine. The food was first class and cooked to order. I wanted my steak rare and it came out rare. A lot of places will do medium-rare but don’t get rare right, miller and carter get it right! Thank you for a wonderful evening! Michael deserves a raise because he is an asset to the restaurant. 5 stars all the way!

Served the most amazing steak I’ve ever had by Mike. Recommend a grass fed sirloin medium rare with the signature beef dripping sauce and I must say it’s the tastiest steak I’ve ever eaten. Will be saving up for another visit soon.

Food was unbelievable was served by a loving lad named Chad. He was extremely welcoming and couldnt of been any better with recommendations on what to eat. Truly a 5 star restaurant with 5 star service.

I had asked for my steak to be medium/well done but too much blood was in my lunch. It is a personal choice I know steak chefs are renowned not to like cooking well done meat but as I said it’s a choice. The service was excellent and the food tasted lovely, presentation was great.

The food is always good there... they certainly know how to make a good steak ... if only was a little bit less expensive... I would definitely go more often... I would suggest to turn the heating down a little 😅

Another visit to Miller Carter, this time on a very busy Saturday evening. Food was good, albeit not terribly hot. The side dish of Mushrooms were cold, but couldn’t get the Waitress attention to advise. It was very busy. Notwithstanding, they were taken off the final bill. Overall a good visit. Waitress Kyra was very obliging and helpful. You know what you’re going to get with Miller & Carter. It’s always worth a visit for a good Steak.

First time here. Walked in and managed to get a table on a Saturday night with family. Had steak, was tasty and on point. Service was smooth for a busy night. Recommend but probably best book in advance.

I was excited about enjoying a delicious ribeye, but what I received was a low-quality piece with lots of gristle, and too chewy so I couldnt eat

Had lunch here. The starters were over fried . Kept in far too hot oil for too long , the calamari was non existent and the batter too much. Same goes for the chips, the fried onion that accompanies the steak and Chipotle chicken starter. All over cooked and oily. Asked for water and waited 30 minutes to ask again as it never arrived. Dessert 🍨 cutlery was forgotten but when asking staff they will get it. Bit disappointed because of the cost which does not match the quality of the food .. the service was ok but can be improved.

The food served was absolutely delicious and presented in and immaculate manner. The service provided by the staff was not only brilliant but as this was our first time the staff took the time to explain the menu to us as we had the Valentine's Day special menu. Will definitely be attending again.
