There are always good people and good times to be found at the Garibaldi hotel! A wide variety of bands and events all year round , for a small venue it packs a punch!

Brilliant staff and wonderful food!

Very tasty tacos available on Tuesday's where the chef has definitely learn the proper Mexican recipes. Good selection of alcohol and beers on offer. Tried the churros too with amazing dark chocolate

Quiet when first arrived, gets busier. Quirky pub, great craft ale 🍺 really good food. I had the pork tachos, really good!! Forget the beer I had though 😋

We've have travelled over to Northampton from Birmingham on more than one occasion to see the bands, it's a great live music venue, drinks and food are good prices and good quality, recommended 👍

Great service and atmosphere, shame the location of the bar makes it awkward to watch a show, but I think the pub makes do with what they have – and they have a brilliant outdoor area, as well as lots of friendly staff!

Love the live afternoon sessions at weekends

It's fun dynamic place. One moment it's a jaz hall the next time it's a rock concert then it's a comedy club. The food looks fantastic and friends tell me it tastes as good too (not eaten there yet). The beer is good (as you would hope in a pub!) I suspect because there is plenty consumed so it's fresh. The pool table is well I'll let you decide but I have played on better. The smoke shed (I don't partake) is heated and seated. All round a great pub with many hats.

A really nice bar and interior that has wonderful entertainment - particularly at the weekends. I particularly enjoy their matinée offerings where often top class bands swing by and play between 3pm-6pm. It is often magical.

One of the best small venues in the country.

Love it here. People talk to you here and are so friendly, unlike some Northampton public houses. Woukd definitely recommend 👍😊

Went for quiz night and some beers. Very good evening, friendly staff and good beer. Did not have food but look very nice.

Thanks. What a great pub with good grass roots music. I can only describe this as a real hidden gem of Northampton. I came here today to see Nigel Price Organ Trio and I wasn’t disappointed. First set foot in the door around 20 years ago and it wasn’t a scratch on what it is now. It has some great beers on tap and the staff are really helpful. It’s a little crowded when it’s busy but this only helps add to the cracking atmosphere. I no longer live in Northampton (currently in the South Wales Valleys). My wish is that this place continues the good work it’s doing - and also I wish that I had something like this where I live! Well done to the owner, staff and the guy that keeps the live bands going. I’ll keep my eye on the upcoming bands here. Will definitely consider coming back (even from Wales)

The Garibaldi biscuit consists of currants squashed and sandwiched between two thin oblongs of biscuit dough before baking. The biscuits are similar to Eccles cake as well as the Golden Fruit Raisin Biscuits once made by Sunshine Biscuits.

Good place to enjoy a great time, food it's tasty. I didn't see any mexican staff member around....🤔 Tonight it says open, however I came in to ask for two beers to take away, the female bartender was RUDE, said it's closed with bad attitude... I said your door says open.. anyway I just walked away.. that kind of staff shouldn't work in a nice place like this

AMAZING, arguably one of the best spots in Northampton. Very sweet staff, good food and a gorgeous little smoking area.

Favourite boozer in town. Super friendly staff, great food, the chef is amazing, and great vibes all round. Been here so many times, there's always something on, they have great live music and interesting events and games. Once you've been once you'll want to come back!

Love this pub so much. I had my birthday here the other day in the “gareoke” room and it was mega!! Lovely rooms with fun disco lights! They let my friends come in earlier to put banners up and everything- and are always so lovely when you come in (which I didn’t know they was doing ) and Tom came down to let my friends know that I had arrived, which was super sweet! I truly had the best birthday thanks to this amazing pub. All the staff go above and beyond and are super friendly and attentive. Tom and the staff have done so well to create and bring up this pub to such a lovely place to hang out and feel at home. Thanks so much guys!! You’re all amazing Xxxx

I'm sorry but I didn't enjoy this place at all. Limited menu, with no healthy options. And it was sooooo cold! But the service was excellent.

Not good place if you live next to them with their windows and doors open wide on Saturday and Sunday afternoons music that loud you can hear it right through my flat. Also when asked to turn the music down they put the phone down on you.

Used to be a grotty, local pub, but the atmosphere was chilled out, and the drinks were inexpensive. Now it's been gentrified and lost a lot of the charm, you also need a mortgage to pay for the over priced drinks. Very meh.

What a fab little music venue! Appreciate the upgrade! Next time we'll go for food and music. This time round Tad Newton's Jazz band filled the Sunday afternoon air with good vibes and the crowd loved him. Was nicely surprised at The Garibaldi being so eclectic, garden was very cute but most importantly, we felt at home and had the loveliest time. It was packed with people of all ages and not All were there for the Jazz so, a little slice of Heaven? Could be. (mixed ages and cultures, certainly my kind of heaven... Looking forward to next visit.

A renaissance has occurred at this rather beautiful pub. Good multi cultural and mixed age crowd. Fantastic food and excellent prices Not yet experienced live music there Only criticism is that victorian gems such as the Garibaldi (great pub name) require heating on a cold evening

This is a great pub. I'm mildly annoyed that I've lived in this town for 3 years and only went for the first time yesterday! There are some good pubs in Northampton, different themes and styles depending on weather and mood, but this place is spot on. Friendly staff, good food made with care, great drinks selection and spot on decor inside and out. It's a touch of Shoreditch in Northampton, but in it's own unique way, with no pomp or pretence. Do yourself a favour and go there now.

Apart from having to sit outside under a patio heater it was very nice. I haven't been to this pub for many years. They do Mexican food we had the Mexican Saturday brunch it was very tasty and plentiful they have a very extensive menu and drinks menu worth a visit. 😀 .

This is the best pub in town. It’s literally impossible to get a bad pint. The Mexican food (vegan and/or meat) is delicious. Don’t go anywhere else.

Last minute decision to try here. Accommodated us with a table on limited time. Food was quick and tasty and the beer well kept. Will come back.

Loved the chicken & pork tacos. Brilliant service. Really enjoyed the outdoor area on a hot summer's evening - a relaxing, laid-back atmosphere.

Visited post lockdown. Was really unsure how somewhere like the Garibaldi would adjust as it is so small however they've done a fab job. There was a sanitisation station upon entry and outside the back door, a clear one way system to access the facilities and tables have been removed to ensure social distancing. Staff provided table service and we had a lovely couple of rounds of beers and cocktails in the garden. Looking forward to returning for food soon!

Came for the bottomless brunch and Mexican and food. Had chorizo hash and was superb, couldn't fault it! Will be back for the taco Tuesday!

It's is something of a hidden gem benefitting from a tasteful refurb and presumably new management with it, make no mistake the Garibaldi was a locals local that outsiders like myself would avoid like a bad dose of the clap! Its a ten minute walk away from the main Town centre, good atmosphere, craft beers and obscure but tasty lagers and ciders (the mango cider being very drinkable). Definitely a place for the younger crowd with DJs and the like but the older patrons are made to feel welcome. I really hope that it's new found renaissance is sustained because the turnaround is remarkable. I heartily recommend.
