owner disrespectful and rude while serving me and my colleagues. didnt like the atmosphere at all, definitely wont be taking my business colleagues there again.

Stopped to have a drink but decided against it after driving into the car park and being aggressively stared at by a couple in a silver car. Doesn’t appear to be a very welcoming place

A typical estate pub, full of life and great characters and personalities. The more people use the place the better it will become.

This is ya basic sit down, have a pint, watch the sport mix with the locals kind of pub, locals are friendly and come over for a chat, no frills, just a decent drinkers pub.

I run the open mic nights on the first Saturday of the month and the locals are a really friendly bunch. Good positive vibes and lots of music lovers up for a chat and a good night. I recommend this pub as somewhere to go and hang out with family and friends and share stories / connect with others within the community.

Hoy tuve el placer de visitar el Longboat mientras visitaba a un amigo. Vinimos para asados y me sorprendió gratamente. La carne estaba bien cocinada (ternera, cerdo) y sobresaliente y había una gran selección de verduras y salsas. La cantidad de carne en el asador dado era muy generoso, de hecho, la mayoría me han dado en un asador a la fecha. Teníamos un budín de café maravilloso y para terminar. El personal era muy servicial, buen gusto la decoración y sin duda volveremos. La única cosa que necesita mejorar un poco fueron los servicios. Jabón es imprescindible :)

The Longboat is under new management, and as it's been a while since I was there, I thought to revisit it. The bar has been re decorated and it looks good. The staff, however, seem as yet to lack the warmth and conviviality dispensed by previous managers such as Tony and Jan and Carly. I went for the carvery, an old Longboat favourite. I can report that it was really rather good. They still have an excellent cauliflower cheese, great roast potatoes and a good selection of meats. They have added a tasty pepper sauce and an extremely tasty mushroom sauce, although I could not be certain if these were home made or not. The sauces are a very interesting twist on a traditional Sunday lunch, but they fitted in well with my somewhat eccentric palate, as did the addition of coleslaw. (Well you don't have to eat those if you don't want to.) The only downsides to the overall experience was that there was no Worthington's beer on draft as per the pumps named beers, and a slight delay in the serving of the food on the carvery. Would I go again? Yes, most definitely. It may a humble establishment, but I have never been able to fault either the quality or the value of the food. The other parts of the menu look good so I will need to try them soon. The meal was washed down with a pint of Carling Cider, and for a few moments the world took on a state of near perfection.
