Updated: Lovely place spoilt by continually bad organisation and training of staff. Management of this place need to seriously take a look at themselves. Lovely old building in peaceful green space, ideal for a drink and bite to eat whether sat outside in the sunshine or tucked up in the cosy space inside in the winter. There are a few annoyances though. The bar staff are frequently very inexperienced and on busy evenings not enough of them and you will queue out the door. Some of the food, like the burgers, are tasty and great value for money, many other dishes are small and over priced.

I quite like the Dead Pigeon, so wanted to give this second venue from the same team a go - the venue used to be Barclays Bank, opposite the Cricketers pub in Rainham. Inside, I think I was expecting something a bit more quaint and pub-like, but the ambience was very much more like office space, all of which had been painted black and then had tables and a bar added - I suppose it did use to be a bank, so this makes sense, but was a surprise. There are lots of large screens in here showing sport. Good atmosphere overall. It works. The bar offers a good choice of beers - had a Hacker-Pschorr, which I haven’t had anywhere since I drank it in Bristol in 2019 (aboard Spyglass) - a decent choice. The food is the star of the show here - big burgers, loaded fries, onion rings, chicken tenders and the like. Very instagramable and extremely scrannable. We ordered a sharing platter - two lots of tenders, onion rings and loaded fries. This was loads of food, all of it gorgeous - one lot of tenders was garlic and the other buffalo. Decent chips as well and gorgeous onion rings. I love onion rings. Big and fluffy, but not too fluffy. Just right. The tenders were big, juicy and moist. I think next time I go I’ll try plain tenders and have a couple of the hot dips - the gravy and hot naga cheese were absolutely superb, but they didn’t go that well with buffalo.. 😃 The burgers here look good - they do a tray where you have tenders, burgers, chips etc, but I think that’s too much for me. I’ll come back and try and burger though. Overall, good place for a meal - definitely recommended and worthy. You won’t get a better burger or tenders in Rainham, that’s for certain.

Size of my fish was only positive part. Everything was almost drowning in fat. Onion rings should be renamed oil rings. The strangest thing is that the fries, even though they were dripping with fat, were not fried but undercooked (I found some that were almost raw). I understand that it was quite a busy evening, and that could explain some issues but I probably won't go back there. Update after few times something horrible happened to me and my family. First time for a long time I had to face cronyism and potentially racism. It hurts when it happens, especially that my whole family was involved. We placed and online order in our favourite chip shop Dolphin. It's not a first time, but definitely last one. When we arrived there was 3 maybe 4 other people. After us another large batch of customers arrived. How surprised I was that everyone was served before us. I'm a professional chef and I know how restaurants and bars work out orders. Yes You can serve some small order first, but not everyone else 🤬. Just because we were not born here we classify as people second category ? Of course friends of lady who run it were served first ... they are more important than we are, than all other and we were left to be served as last after 25 minutes of waiting !!!! Orders are timed but it didn't matter and I just seen my slip was placed last. Well dear Dolphin Dungannon if my money isn't hood enough I'll happily spend it somewhere else. But it's not that hurts the most. It's a fact that just based on someone orgin someone decide that one is more important than others. It's a dark day for me as I always said the most beautiful thing about Northern Ireland is fact that people are so nice. #Racism #Cronyism #BadService #Discrimination #NeverAgain

These premises have been closed for two or three months. Don’t know why the Kickin’ Caribou closed but it has gone and now been firmly replaced by the House of Biryani which is up and trading with an entirely refitted interior and diametrically different menu. It’s also alcohol free.

Ordered 2 weeks ago and food was almost 30 minutes late for quoted delivery time and cold on arrival. I sent the food back with the driver and when the restaurant called, I asked for a refund which was not issued. This is the first time I've had a problem with them, but because they were unwilling to refund my money, it's also the last time they'll ever get a penny from me. Extremely poor customer service.

Average review based on many visits - on a good day it’s a favourite of ours, particular the candied bacon burger. But last night was really poor. The chips tasted like burnt oil and were a grey/dark yellow colour. The wings were soggy and gross and the burger was really average. Hopefully just a bad day at the office.
