You need to book to have a table...going to shut down apparently...don't know why...

We ordered three poutine, some tenders and a side of fries. They were more than happy to swap the chicken for vegetarian on one of the poutine. It's a shame it's closing down - so glad we tried it while we had a chance!

Informed by KC at beginning of first week in February that they are closing the Mutley restaurant this week. They say that we can still order on Uber for the time being. The business is moving to in or near Bristol.

Foods nice when they get it right and its not cold, I recomend avoiding their delivery serice. They also refuse bookings through instagram and despite talking to their own staff during booking will not honour it. Just dont book through instagram and you might be ok.

I love this place! The staff are so lovely and friendly, the food is AMAZING with a good range of vegetarian and vegan options and the cocktail and drinks list is unique and really tasty. They hold a Quiz weekly which is great fun and if you win you get your photo on the wall above the fireplace. Really great spot on Mutley, would highly recommend.

Got this as a takeaway order as on the website it looked incredible! However, on arrival the burgers and bun were burnt but also stone cold, soggy and looked nothing like the photos shown. Both tasted the same and rather dry. They wrrr also very small and made me feel a little unwell after. So overall disappointing.

We turned up on a Saturday evening but the host was able to offer us the last "larger" table in the restaurant, which happened to be right by the kitchen. There was a real bustle behind the counter and lots of food going out. The host was really apologetic about the wait for food, but we felt we were served pretty promptly. The food itself was tasty - this was my first time having poutine and I went for the buffalo bill. It was almost like two meals in one- a buffalo chicken and fries level, and then a gravy and fries level. The only reason I couldn't finish it was because the gravy was rich - go hungry! My partner had a burger in a bagel with nacho cheese sauce- messy but well seasoned! The maple fries with the salt were a perfect sweet/savory combo too. This is a really nice little addition on Mutley Plain, I'm glad we tried it on a spur of the moment evening out. We are looking forward to coming back for a Sunday roast!

We waited for years to come and eat here and it was worth wait! The service was amazing, staff and atmosphere was 10/10. Literally couldn’t fault one thing. Food was amazing, we sat in to eat. Will deffo be coming back for more 💜 #burntendsarelife

Staff were great, but it was hard to tell if it was even open at first. The windows outside were so foggy it looked like it had been white paint washed. The roast dinner with beef, chicken and pork was unfortunately not very good due to the chicken and beef being very dry. Unfortunately there wasn't much broccoli in the broccoli Mac and cheese which was disappointing. The Yorkshire pudding fondue was not nice at all unfortunately and would've been better if the fondue was on the side. The food had a reheated taste all round, this was reinforced by the fact our food had arrived before our milkshake was made. There is free 2 hour parking within a 2 minute walk.

I enjoyed a premium burger at a good price. They obliged my request to have some ingredients changed. I was skeptical about the maple butter fries but they were to die for! Will be recommending.

First time visitors for date Night and heard lots of different reviews so wanted to see for ourselves we have some mixed reviews but had a lovely evening. Food/Drinks Positives - Both Burgers me and my husband had were absolutely lush + plain Skin on fries + with maple syrup- definitely worth a try 10/10 ! 😋 Negative - Poutine - wasn't a fan of this or the cheese - gravy was salty so wouldn't order this again and would of liked more salad in the burger however this is just preference. Dessert- only one option on the night so gave this a miss we are not huge dessert fans anyway. Drinks - Lemonade and a cider you can't really go wrong but other options looked nice. Service Friendly and attentive, lovely manager and couldn't do enough to help and explained everything on the menu to us. They did seem short staffed with only 4 working on the night + delivery guys in and out but they worked hard to keep everyone happy and the restaurant running smoothly. Atmosphere Clean, flat disabled access, lovely theme and well decorated, seating is a little uncomfortable even with the fur covers, after a while so some chairs would be better but nice concept. Music was good but a little loud but a fun vibe. Price Food is lovely quality however a little pricey but quality of food does meet the price Overall nice food depending on what you like, lovely staff and worth a visit 😊 we will be back to try other dishes on are next Date Night.

A great addition to Mutley Plain. The roast on Sunday was really good and a bit of a change from a traditional Sunday lunch. Went as a family with our 6 year old and they offered us a child's portion which wasn't listed on the menu - it was still a very generous size! Staff were all really accommodating and friendly.

Came up from Cornwall and so glad we chose to eat here. Service and food were amazing! Even took the remaining gravy home. Couldn't bear to waste it. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

My partner won a free meal for 2 & what a lovely meal it was. The food is second to none. So much flavour. I enjoyed the noahs ark roast & my partner scoffed down the wild boar roast. Compliments to the chef & staff. We left very well looked after and you're even dog friendly which ment our little chihuahua could come along. Great food, fantastic vibe & very friendly staff. We will definitely be returning!

Nope. Looking at reviews we were really looking forward to visiting. It's lovely decor, but the vibe is all wrong. It feels a bit like your intruding in a mildly clicky members club. Whilst the staff are polite and friendly, it all feels a bit chaotic. The chips were slightly undercooked. The burgers were so underwhelming.....just plain little flat buns. Barely any filling, served on a small saucer. The tenders were slightly over cooked (ironic). Gravy was good though and the burnt ends were quite nice (praise were praise is due). But overall.....there are such good places to eat.....we won't be back.

I wanted so much to like this place after seeing mouthwatering-looking dishes on Instagram, but the reality was underwhelming. The decor and aesthetic is great. And I love the Canadian concept. But the food itself was a bit lackluster. We were told on arrival that they had no brisket which is a shame as it seems to be one of the key ingredients for many items on the menu. They also didn't have vodka or many of the cider varieties listed on the menu either. So I had the Meatbox BBQ Chicken Mac n Cheese and my partner had the Alanis Morrisette burger with bacon as a substitute for the Furious Pete burger. My partner said the chicken could have used some more flavour, though he did enjoy the sauce. Same with my Mac n Cheese. I can't fault the customer service, the staff there were great, particularly the lady who was front of house that night. She very, very kindly didn't charge us for the coke (that should have been a vodka and coke) and gave us a couple of beers on the house. The gin and tonic I had was lovely! I'd like to give this place another go (when brisket is back on the menu) as I wonder if we just caught them on a bad night!

Was alright. Understaffed, but the staff that were there were friendly. Didn’t have any brisket left which was disappointing as it was on a few things we had ordered (not told before ordering). Food was good. Had a few burgers, loaded fries and the Mac’n’cheese. Dessert was a bit poor, they didn’t have the things from the menu. If you’ve not been it’s worth a visit.

Everything we ordered was not available and it was the worst service I've ever had in Plymouth, honestly I was shocked by the staff, the disregard for service and we had to advance our booking because they wanted to close early! I believe that the manager or owner is not aware of a situation like this.

We had an amazing first visit to Kicking Caribou, and there's no doubt we'll be returning. The service was top-notch, and the food was not only well-prepared but incredibly tasty. What truly stood out was the fantastic atmosphere; the staff's interaction created a fun and enjoyable environment. Plus, the cost was very reasonable. This is our 3rd time here since it opened a couple years ago. We were greeted at the door by a super welcoming member of staff. Food was great as always.

We went here for tea tonight and the food and service was great! I love it that there is no where else in Plymouth that serves Canadian themed food except this place. This is our 3rd time here and the lady that served us is always really welcoming and friendly. If you are craving carbs this is the place to go.

Wow wow wow we had the share platter 2 x Rob Ford burgers 2 x loaded fries 2 x chicken bits and 2 x burnt ends Fantastic value and definitely the best burgers in Plymouth Highly recommend but book for the weekends. Top service too

After hearing so many good things about this place we decided to place an order ! We are really unhappy with our order we are missing items from our burgers the chips were stale and must have been sat there for a while they also had none of the chili salt on as stated ( it wasn't the drivers fault as he was very fast at delivering from the restaurant) ! The burgers were super greasy you could squeeze out the grease from the bun . The beans we had were just normal baked beans with some beef in it. All in all we felt like we was missing alot of items off our food it was stale, cold and tasteless we are really disappointed and feel like we've wasted our money.

Feeling like something meaty and indulgent? The kickin Caribou is the place to go. Great portions and lovely staff. The rick urban is ace and I personally love mexican Thursdays.

Though I have no real complaints about the food, my overall experience here was far below what I would expect. When I tried to order cocktails at the bar the server told me cocktails were not available as there was no ice left to make them. However, our water was then brought to the table with ice in it and 20 minutes later a further bag of ice was retrieved from the back for an apparent friend of the server. If it was a genuine mistake the server could have offered us the cocktails we ordered on realising there was in fact more ice. As a paying customer I do not expect to be lied to by a member of staff.

Went with a friend for the first time here after talking about it for a while! Had a burger with brisket and added chicken tenders and fries to make it a meal. The burger was really tasty, however it didn't seem like the brisket or the caramelised onion was hot and the bun despite being toasted was cold on top, it wasn't as if the food was waiting to be served as there was only 1 other table in at the same time so was not busy. The chicken tenders i opted for cajun and the taste was really good but a couple bits were chewy and that put me off, possibly not the restaurants fault as could've been a bad batch of chicken. The atmosphere was quiet as it wasn't very busy at all but it was a Thursday evening so can't imagine many people out for dinner then. I'd go back to give it another go but there's a few other places to tick off first.

I've been assured the food is usual fantastic here.....we went on the first Thursday of the month , which is taco Thursday, though we didn't see any mention of this on any of their social media pages...... so we had tacos 😄😄.. they were OK.......more like a starter.. Went down the road and got a burger after 😅😅

Ordered via Uber eats and have to say the food was awful, fries barely cooked and soggy, burgers were soggy, onions barely cooked yet supposed to be caramelised. The butterfly chicken breast looks like it came from a budgie or was half eaten before it was but in the burger and somehow was so dry. The gravy had a chemically taste to it and was not edible. Overall £50 wasted on this food that clearly doesn’t travel well and is not satisfactory. Only thing I can say was ok was the milkshakes we got

I took my parents here for a meal here last night the service was 10/10 Tess is a fantastic manager and really looked after us from the minute we got there to serving are food was one of the best meals I've had for a long time highly recommend the Rob ford burger and buffalo bill poutine overall brilliant experience and will definitely be returning

The atmosphere is great and the whole vibe of the venue. We were greeted by attentive and approachable staff who were great in getting us seated and weren’t overbearing, the food is great value for money and tastes amazing. I will definitely come back when I’m next in the area. Stunning

Randomly turned up hoping to try their usual menu but turned out to be Taco Thursday, which is the first Thursday of each month and tacos are all they offer. Fair enough, so I ordered the Birria Tacos for take away. Between the shop and home is 10 minutes and when I got back to unveil them the tacos looked a little disappointing (see pics). Looked and tasted dry, a poor amount of filling in the tacos so were a little thing and it was way to salty. I would say Tacos arnt there thing and I hope this isn’t an indication of their usual menu.

The burger deal was a great price (burger, fries and coke for £7 on the lunchtime menu), but the chicken in the burger was very dry and tough. Onion hadn’t been peeled properly either, so had to remove some of it. Other visits have been okay, but nothing amazing.

OMG we had a takeaway delivered from her and I can honestly say this has got to be the worst food I've ever had. It all tasted of refried food in old oil. The chicken was dry hard and burnt the chips were soggy and limp will never eat anything from here again. Perhaps just an unfortunate one off but I won't be trying again

These guys are amazing! Not just the food but the staff. My order was not delivered by Deliveroo and I was not refunded by them. However Kickin’ Caribou duplicated my order and a lovely member of staff, personally delivered it. I love the food here both when delivered and when I’ve eaten in house. Their service is truly outstanding. I’m so very grateful and appreciative and will definitely continue to eat here and order from them whenever I can. A small business with a huge huge heart, with customer care and satisfaction at its very core, along with fantastic food! Thank you 🙏

Tried for the first time today, and I am SO impressed with the quality of food. I tried three of the side orders, the Cajun chicken tenders, maple fries and beef brisket beans. All three were 10/10 and I can’t wait to try the rest...

One of the worst restaurant experiences I've had. I tried phoning twice and got no answer so we booked a table online. On arriving the place was completely empty, with all but one table booked. Which was lucky because our reservation didn't exist. The guy that greeted us was friendly and showed us our seats. After that we were on our own...I had to get my own menu from another table and after waiting for service for 10 minutes or so the waitress walked straight passed us to someone that had arrived after us and asked them for drinks, I thought it was a little rude but no big deal. She then came over to our table and I thought, "oh great we can order"...no, she just asked if she could take our menu for the other table...she didn't even guess that we might have come into the restaurant wanting to order something. After politely waiting a little longer for service, convinced that their actions couldn't be genuine, I decided to go to the bar to find out. It turned out you had to order at the bar. It might have been worth a mention. Instead, they stared blankly at me from the bar...fair enough, I guess all of the staff were busy waiting on the one other table in there? Our food came and I won't go into detail. It's enough to say I've had better food and service from McDonald's. The burgers were average at best and the poutine wasn't much better, especially with the stale croutons on top. There's not a chance I'll be returning.

I drove for 1 hour especially to eat at Kickin Caribou after my friend recommended it and I was not disappointed. The food was delicious, affordable and there was plenty of it. The atmosphere was great and the staff really attentive. I grew up in Canada and really enjoyed having classics like poutine again. Highly recommend.

Outrageous prices for tiny portions and delivered...well, it wasn't hot...its shameful to charge that kind of money for what you provided...as an actual Canadian I had high hopes...haven't tasted it yet, I'll wait for my anger to subside before I slate your efforts at my national dish.

Unrivalled food, easily the best independent fast casual in Plymouth! Top notch poutine and their burgers are unrivalled and their staff are super welcoming. Give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Our waitress Tess (who happens to be the general manager) was one of the loveliest servers I have ever had the pleasure being served by! Food was deliciously well made and presented, atmosphere was beautiful to look at and the whole environment was very clean and warm. If you get the chance, make sure this is somewhere you put on your bucket list of places to go! It's truly a unique and special experience (me and my date both agree ❤️).

My friend and I fancied trying something new and stumbled across kickin' caribou we were created with friendly faces, great service and a cozy Canadian lumberjack atmosphere. We were most impressed with the manager, Tess, she was down to earth, human and very easy to talk to. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced (the beavertail was outstanding) 10/10 would recommend going here 😁😁

Deliveroo experience, very greasy, cold and very small portions which in hindsight I'm welcome for. I hate McDonald's but believe me a McDonald's is better than this. Too sum this place up horrible greasy, cold food. Don't bother ordering.

We had waited a while before trying our new local place to eat. We had chicken burgers and chips. Sadly the chicken was tough and dry. Either over fried or cooked twice. The skin on chips were either overdone again or cooked in old oil....

Dining experience was great, poutine and mac and cheese was exactly what you'd want, tasty and good portion sizes. Cocktails were excellent the whiskey sour was one of the best I've had. Service was good and the atmosphere of the place was chilled out and welcoming. Value for money was very good as well with two portions of poutine, mac n cheese and four cocktails coming to £31 a head which is a great price for the quality of food, drinks and service. A must visit in Plymouth and definitely will be back again.

Waited 20 minutes for two soft drinks and had to remind them at the bar, after. 25 minute wait for a dessert we left without it. Vegan or meat no veggie options. Overall disaster.

After deliveroo failed to bring my food and took it away with the. I called the restaurant and explained also that it was tea for my kids and that one of them had bed soon. Kindly enough the manager did the food again and personally delivered to my house herself. What a amazing thing to do Also the food here is amazing

WOW, what an experience. It’s a perfect setting for any occasion. Lovely for a sit down romantic evening by the fire or a fun night out with a group of friends. Food was absolutely excellent, all to a very high standard. The cocktails are also fantastic, really gave me childish sensation as they brought it out. Will go back again, my new favourite restaurant. Keep it up, you have a new loyal customer!

First time visiting here and will definitely be coming back. The food was incredible never had anything like it. The presentation was amazing. Happy hour deals are from 5 to 7 and is worth doing. I had 2 for 10 on cocktails which were lovely. The interiors are so cool here and definitely worth a visit. They also have TVs in there to watch sport which makes it a very fun atmosphere and is a great place for socialising.
