The food was very good. The meats were perfectly cooked.

Very nice, came as a very large group, they were very friendly and attentive. The staff were great with the kids and food was delicious. They cooked it extra for us which was greatly appreciated.

Worst Brazilian I have eaten. Cannot imagine anything being any worse than this.

Great experience. Went there for a birthday meal. The staff were very accomindating, even put banners up and got a free drink after my meal. Food was very good, I walked out with a beef baby. Maybe take it easy. Diffinately have the pineapple.

During my recent trip to Plymouth, I found this wonderful spot! As someone learning Brazilian Portuguese, it was fun to try chatting. The food was delicious, especially the Feijoada! The place is nicely decorated and I bet it's lively on weekends. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back!

We arrived expecting the options of either the buffet or the menu as shown on the website. We were told that only the buffet was available at £35.00 per head (not including drinks) not cheap, but we decided to go for it. We were disappointed. Excluding basic salad options, a couple of raw onion based dishes and part-baked baguette slices, there were only 7 choices for hot sides on the buffet: mashed sweet potato, new potatoes, creamy mushrooms, black lentils, sauerkraut, peas and boiled rice. No fresh veg, no wraps or alternative bread options. Whilst the lentils, mushrooms and new potatoes tasted good, they certainly could've been hotter. We enjoyed the novelty of the meat being brought to the table and carved and we were told it would be cooked to our preferences. 3 of our party wanted rare, 2 wanted medium rare. However, you got what you were given, there was no actual choice of how it was cooked. Some were definitely tasty but, as other reviews have said, we didn't always know what we were getting, it wasn't always made clear. We were able to return to the buffet as much as we like and the meat was brought round very regularly. The staff were generally friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we all agreed that it wasn't worth the £35 per head.

The best meat (that everyone wishes to have - cap rump, sirloin etc.) took a lifetime to arrive and we actually had to ask for it. The lesser cuts (but no less tasty) came first e.g. minted lamb, sausage, gammon etc. I heard the place was a bit "hit and miss" and unfortunately on this special occasion, it was a miss. The staff were lovely, ambience great and such a friendly bunch of people. The food service, and service alone was lacking and disappointing. I will give it another go however.........

Never been in a restaurant like it. DJ at the front playing some great music, bar then the restaurant. The food was excellent. Never had meat cut like it was in front of us. Staff were very friendly and explained how it all works very well. Excellent value for money. Thanks.

Went for lunch with my daughter and it was lush. We are vegetarian and had the burgers which were very good and the buffet was as much as you like and also excellent. The icing on the cake was the roasted pineapple with cinnamon on, sliced at the table. We'll be back

We were a party of 7 and we have all come to the same conclusions simply awful. We had had the evening planned for a couple of months and were all looking forward to it. Some of the food was hot as it was cut for us at the table, the rest was cold and all of the food lacked quality. The beef cut were all gristley and sinewy. The meat that we had cut for us was extremely small samples on the sword meaning the portion we were given were minute. The chaps serving the meats were friendly, but the other servers were not interested, very inattentive and not interested in our experience. We were left drinkless for nearly 45 minutes before we had to ask for the waitress to be sent over. The salad bar well what a disappointment cold crunchy undercooked rice and bland other pickings. The only thing that had an abundance of flavour were the pickled onions and the salad vinegarette. The garlic mushrooms lacked a fundamental ingredient garlic, peppercorn sauce was watery and also tasteless. Lost in rio was the biggest disappointment I think I have had to date, we should have know by the quietness of the restaurant. The best part of our meal was easily the roasted pineapple. Even if it did look like we had the scraps at the end of the night. Moreover if you want a night of disappointment, poor quality food and pay way over the odds for it go to this eatery. Personally I'd AVOID THIS EATERY IN FUTURE.

AVOID THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS! Today, my friend and I went to this restaurant for lunch. THE FOOD WAS AWFUL TO SAY THE LEAST!!! What they offer is not BRAZILIAN FOOD, IT IS A HUMILIATION FOR THE BRAZILIAN CUISINE to refer to this restaurant as “GOOD.” We have already eaten in several Brazilian restaurants in England and unfortunately this was the first one that disappointed us! About the employee who was serving us was very polite and friendly, no complaints! But the woman and the owner were arrogant and ignorant when faced with our complaint!!!

We throughly enjoyed our rare dinner out, Johnny was an amazing host, polite , informative and helpfull. The chef, Chris, well what can I say, his only been there a short while and I think you've found an absolute diamond in him, again polit, helpful, hard working and a fantastic chef. Once the staff had informed us we could go help ourselves at the buffet the selection on offer was not very appealing, staff then proceeded to bring out some form of meat on a skewer (even now no one there knows what meat it was) and was carved and put onto our plates, I received a tiny amount that could only be described as something you would find on the bottom of your shoe! When asked what it was I was rudely met with “you’ll have to wait for more to come out” by the staff. I then proceeded to try the food and quickly spat it back onto my plate as it was stone cold, I then raised the issue with the staff who informed me it had just come out the oven. This was a blatant lie as I work in hospitality and asked for the manager and for him to re probe the meat to check the temperature. He rudely refused and still continued to aggressively tell all of us the meat was hot and fresh out the oven. At this point we all thought enough was enough and we had to leave. Knowing the law and exactly what is meant by the customer is always right we refused to pay as what we experienced no one should have to go through! We was then met with threats of the police been phoned (knowing there’s nothing they can do) so we persisted to wait for them however they did not make an appearance. The manager then offered a select few 50% off the final bill however others only got 15% and said thats tough you will have to get the difference off everybody else. safe to say the birthday meal was ruined and now the complaints procedure to all relevant authorities has begun, so i urge everyone to AVOID this so called restaurant at all costs.

Enjoyed the buffet style dining experience with the twist of the amazing numbers of meat available but brought to your table and carved in front of you. Meats were a plenty, veg just a little cold but was a quiet Monday night when visited

Wow, was not expecting what I was given. You get to try everything from the menu and if you want more you just ask. Excellent price for what they’re offering. I’ll be returning again when I visit Plymouth.

Heard about this place from a friend and had to try it out for myself. Went with friends and we all love our food. From start to finish everything was off the scale. All the cuts of meat were so tasty and cooked to perfection. I cannot recommend this place enough. The service is perfect. Can't wait to go back and try the evening menu.

Been multiple times but this place is great and deserves a review. The selection of meats is amazing, well spiced and cooked to perfection. Bruno the owner is also very friendly and clearly proud of the restaurant. All the staff were so courteous. Easy to recommend.

We dined with our friends here,the food was exceptional as was the service, Wonderful cocktails. Highly recommend, we were only four in our party and the ambience was special, can imagine a larger party having a fantastic time as well, so good for small or large bookings

Brilliant place. Every type of meat tasted good. Thought we would easily manage the two rounds of service but we’re full after the first. We were only there for the meat but the salad bar didn’t look great for those who may be interested in that. Staff were great. Meat was coming out quickly. Great experience, surprised it wasn’t busier when we were in to be honest. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely go back if I was in the area again and would recommend to anyone looking to get their meat fix. Sounds expensive but we walked away happy and content feeling like it was value for money and if you can do every round of both sittings (one then a break then the other) then you would be getting better value for money if you could eat that much.

The price was not worth the experience. The meat was good, but the lack of sides was disappointing. If this had been cheaper, it would’ve been a lot better of an experience, but £35 each, for meat that came round once in a blue moon, and sides that just weren’t that good… not worth it. Some of the staff were wonderful, but some of the people bringing round meat weren’t very inviting. Overall, this would’ve been a lot better if the price wasn’t such a turn away, we were expecting a lot higher quality for the amount being paid.

We went for my birthday and they where amazing my youngest fell asleep and they made a place for him they where great with the kids as soon as one of them asked for a meat they went and got it.. we will be back totally amazing service and everyone was lovely to talk to

A Brazilian bbq. They come round with steak, pork, chicken, sausage, all cooked on a sword like skewer. Then carve at the table. Had a long, quite leisurely lunch and a family catch up. Staff very attentive and listened to our preferences. (If management read this, we booked as Alice, please thank the young man who looked after us).

It is expensive for a family dinner. Children and women eat little)) But if you eat like a man - exactly that! Thanks to the staff, they even fed us on Christmas Day. They warned in advance about changes in working hours. I recommend Alas, this is definitely not a buffet where you can save money.

No one to greet us even though we booked, someone had to go and find a member of staff after we waited with other customers for 10 mins, table had to have an extra chair added so not prepared despite pre booking for party of 5. It was freezing in restaurant, plates were cold and bread was stale. We had not been before so had to wait till waitress explained how it worked only she forgot us. Finally got drinks , lovely pina coladas. The different meats were mostly gorgeous ( esp the beef) but veg available was barely warm and not great although the garlic mushrooms were nice. Tips for the restaurant- as so meat heavy maybe provide toothpicks, definitely turn the heating up, a plate warmer and perhaps something special for the birthday girl/guy- we left earlier as were so cold , they even turned the music off and quite frankly we felt forgotten- highly unlikely to return I’m afraid.

Went there for my first time with friends for lunch and can honestly say I couldn't pick a flaw with anything. The service was great and food was perfect. Owner is a very polite gentleman and staff are all very nice. I left feeling very full and happy. Alot of very good food for the price.

We had a 10-person lunch here and was left a little disappointed. Having visited before, we were excited to be going again for some birthday lunch. But we was feeling let down by the supper slow service. The meat was taking so long to come out that we waited at least 10-20 minutes between each serving. We never got offered a second round of meat, and we had to repeatedly ask for chips and puddings, and then when we left, we were charged for a meal we didn't have, at xmas prices but was not even giving any of the crackers or xmas table stuff. Shame as we loved this place, but don't feel like we will be returning now.

First time eating in this restaurant, I took my Mum after being recommended by a friend and we were extremely impressed and we will definitely be return customers! The only thing that I would suggest is a brandy/cognac selection. As there was none on the spirit menu but I was assured that they would be looking into it. Great food, great atmosphere and lovely friendly staff. Obrigado guys and girls and we'll definitely be returning soon and bringing our friends with us next time.

Amazing from start to finish. Our food server tonight was fantastic, he explained each joint of meat and gave us the best cuts and sorted us with fresh cut and cooked chips which tasted insane, even though he's not actually Brazilian and Portuguese instead he did a great job 😉 Waitress was great at keeping our drinks topped up. The faijoada wasn't like it made for me when I was in Brazil but it's tasted good all the same and reminded me of my father's home. The roasted pineapple and deep fried banana was a perfect way to end our meal, totally delicious. Music was all part of the spectacle. Can't wait to come back.

Visited the restaurant tonight and from the moment we arrived all the staff were so friendly and attentive and knew exactly the right times to come back to the table with the next meat option. All the food was spot on, the meat was tender and cooked perfectly, the buffet/salad bar was flavorful with plenty of options. Dessert was my favorite, grilled pineapple with cinnamon and sugar was unreal. Was genuinely surprised to see how quiet the restaurant was on a Saturday night, they definitely deserve more customers and love from the public. 10/10 over all, can’t wait to visit again with the rest of my family!

Attended for a team event and we were a large group - I cannot say how amazing the experience was for our team! The food was insane quality - we all left with very full bellies - we were even accommodated for dietary requests. Highly recommend the skills of the cocktail making team and they explain and recommend everything to great detail including which wine will compliment the meats that will be served throughout the meal! And whilst I talk about food and wines and cocktails the toilets were clean and the artwork on the wall was beautiful. Please check out this stunning venue :)

We had an amazing time at lost in rio. The food was delicious, and so many different meats, we couldn't try them all because we were so full!!
