So sad to hear this restaurant is closing! Our family has enjoyed many birthday celebrations here and we have always been looked after really well. On the last occasion, Matt went above and beyond and it really made for a wonderful evening. The RWY is a very special place with a great atmosphere, so it seemed a perfect place to have a Hubbox. It will be missed!!

We came to Hub Box for my son’s 13th birthday. The experience was exceptional, the whole team were excellent but Matt went above and beyond to make it so enjoyable (and memorable). We were a large group, with some younger children but Matt was calm, relaxed and made sure we had the best time. In truth we always have good service here but this time it was that little bit more special..thank you all.

Excellent service, great burgers and all at a fair price. Really appreciated a good choice of vege/vegan options. However the venue is let down by excessively loud and instrusive music that makes it difficult to order and to have a conversation.

Haven't been to hubbox in years and was surprised to see how small the burgers have become. Also, some of my favourites have gone like the slider tray and burnt end beans. The food was very good but it has changed too much from what it once was. There are now cheaper and better places to get your burger fixes.

No matter how much I comment here, it will be too little for this restaurant. Excellent service, excellent taste, excellent price and performance. It is obvious that they know this job, I would definitely recommend it to everyone. The friend named ED works perfectly, treated us very well and kept us informed. He is a very kind and gentle person. He is a smart and hard-working person who runs the restaurant alone. We thank him very much, I hope he gets the opportunity to work in much better places. Ordered a burger and chips fr9m the RWY hub box and inl was blown away with how nice the food was burger was cooked to perfection so juicy and even better was how fresh it tasted cant recommend this place enough

Great burgers and sides and some great drinks all served up by friendly staff. The elderflower cooler is particularly good as is the rum cocktail. All the food was cooked well and arrived in a reasonable time. I would highly recommend eating here.

Popped in for a drink whilst on a dog walk and we’ve just moved to the area. So glad we did. Everyone was lovely and we ended up having some homemade soup and toasted sandwich which was very nice and was very reasonably priced. They were very welcoming and the place was warm which was nice, I’ve noticed some places I’ve been to recently have been a little chilly. Toilets are nice and clean. Will definitely be a favourite for good reasonably priced food with great service now we live nearby.

Lunch deal... Dont do it. The burger was appalling and less than half the size of the burgers served to everyone else.

Had an amazing lunch, the burgers are massive and extremely tasty, the wife had the big cheese and I had bacon double cheeseburger. The fries was amazing. The staff was very attentive and welcoming, the restaurant looks stunning inside, with great views of the harbour. I would highly recommend this place for couples or family, price wise is about right for the location and portion size.

Our local restaurant for incredible burgers. The restaurant’s location in the historic Melville building adds a unique charm, blending modern and industrial elements to create a welcoming atmosphere. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the All Star Burger. A perfect blend of flavors and textures, with a juicy patty, delicious toppings, and just the right amount of sauce. Accompanying the meal, I always opt for the Orchard Pig Cider- so good! The cider’s crisp and fruity taste is the perfect complement to the rich flavors of the burger.

Really expensive for a burger and have to add fries nearly £20 a meal and then we added onion rings which we so greasy we felt so sick after. a bill of £45 for halloumi burger , chips , meat burger , chips, coke , onion rings and slaw never worth it and wasn’t even that tasty just felt quite sick after from the grease came away feeling like we wasted our money and very deflated as it’s a rare treat for us . On a positive note a good weekday lunch meal deal for exactly what we had today at half the price . Wish we looked around now at someone else to try as soon as they said burger is £15.50 and you have to add £4.95 extra for fries I should of got up and walked out but my partner said it would embarrass him

Very disappointed with our visit today. We have always been happy with the food on previous visits but today we ordered the Chilli cheese dirty fries and the Nacho’s and chicken strips. Like everywhere the price has gone up by £1.50 per portion since the last visit but worst of all the portion has nearly halved in size!! £47.00 for 2 portions of dirty fries, 1 nacho, chicken strips and 3 cokes, sadly no longer worth it.

I had bottomless brunch here for our Xmas do. We had an absolutely fabulous afternoon. food was a amazing, staff were very efficient and welcoming especially leanne who went above and beyond for us . I have never had a bottomless bruch where the drinks come out so quickly. Would highly recommend. I Will definitely be coming here again for another boozy afternoon

Ordered a pick up. Got home, and realised they hadn't put the dips in or the extra bits in the burger that I'd ordered and paid for. Obviously didn't think to check when I was there as shouldn't have to. Kind of ruined the meal and it's just annoying to be honest. Emailed them, and they didn't even apologise which is just strange customer service, just refunded the £3. Won't return.

We visited Hub for lunch today. We were greeted warmly when we arrived and shown to our seats. Lovely waitress called Holly took our order Food was lovely! We all very much enjoyed our visit here today, but most of all I appreciated the great service!

This is by far the worst place I have ever eaten. We were a party of 7. Firstly, my husband asked for a brand of non alcoholic beer that was on the menu, they didnt have it but suggested another. This was the start of a incredibly disappointing dining experience: One of our party asked for the lobster roll, no lobster, it continued, everything we asked for wasn't available ie no half chicken, no mackerel, no sole in a roll. Chips were served out of a large stainless steel bowl we could see on the serving hatch, which we had previously seen as we arrived being filled with some chips from another table that had been left over! Then desert: no cream tea icecream, no knickerbocker glory. The waiter said he would make one up, it was inedible with hard frozen strawberries and liquid icecream (because there was a fault with their ice cream maker apparently) The most disgusting substance, apparently cream, topped this abomination. We ordered Irish coffee, this was incredible not in a good way, it came in a PINT GLASS, with cold coffee , watery cream and no alcohol content. The evening was laughable, this is not a restaurant, it's a rip off joke. They have no stock in, needs shutting down.

Not only is the food unbelievably good but the customer service is incredible! I placed a large click and collect order. The Manager helped me back to my car with the bags of food, which was so appreciated. When we opened the order, we realised a burger was missing. The Manager then delivered the missing burger, personally, along with a free drink! Impressed, isn’t the word! Thank you so much, for an all round, fantastic experience. Can’t recommend this place enough! 10/10

Went for breakfast and it was delicious, highly recommend. Nice variety of dishes and good coffee. Service was very welcoming and friendly, checked in on us but not too much so it felt very relaxed and not like we were being rushed out he door which you can get in some restaurants

I've visited Hubbox for years, but this is the first time visiting the Hub. I really like the new concept which feels much more like a dining experience instead of fast food. The food is always great from these guys and of course I had to get the OG, the big Kahuna. The service was great and the food arrived very fast. To top it off, Verdant on draught!

Good situation but topical posh burger joint, price as you would expect in the RWY very nice milkshake 😋

After the rebrand it's clearly not the same company and doesn't provide the quality of its products or the service it once did. It's not right that it still has the historic reviews from when it was The Hub Box. As 'Hub' is nothing like that.

Ordered just under £40 worth of food. One was a burger with a Gluten free Bun. They sent this without the bun in a wrap. Less than 1 patty in the wrap and nearly empty. Tried calling also left a voicemail but nothing. Used a third party to order from. Requested a refund for the £12 odd burger but was only able to get £2 back for the bun. By this point the whole meal is cold and worthless. Very disappointed not sure if under new management as it used to be a good easy place to go.

Been going to Hub Box for many years and now called Hub. Sitting here at the moment hoped it had realised how bad it had become and changed back to the Hub Box. Sadly this is not the case. Lack of choice for sides. Poor selection of foods. Even the little things like sauce selection are different. Find it hard to disagree with another review. The HO of Hub need to be removed for such as terrible change. No doubt they will "listen to feedback". Shame because the staff that have been here over the last fews years and at the old location are some of the best and they have been let down. Perhaps its a symbol of the way society is going these days. Explains the profanity from what i think was a customer chatting to a staff member. Never heard that in there before. Oh and slaw.. why? Who actually asked for that! More of just "stuff" they can add to the plate cheaply to make it look like you are getting more for your buck. Would like to think they look at what gets thrown into the bin to get an idea of what the customer wants if they dotn wnat to listern. Hub Box set a high a standard but once you get there it is difficult to maintain. End of an established restaurant and Hub is what's left.

Everything was fine until receiving the bill. They automatically add a service charge into the final bill. When you look at the itemisation, they have “service charge” as optional but it’s already included in the bill, they don’t mention it either, so you then have to ask them to remove it… They do this on purpose and it’s disgusting. If the service is great, I’ll tip. If it’s average, then why am I paying someone a tip to do their job? I tip all the time but that’s when the service is great, not just… someone doing their job. It’s like going to Starbucks and them adding a service charge for servicing you a coffee, it’s ridiculous and enough for me not to come here again. Also, their menu has changed massively from the old hub box. We won’t eat here again. Please stop charging a service charge, it’s supposed to be at the customers discretion.

Lovely experience! The staff were lovely, food was nuts and the cocktails were worth the money. I wish I could name the staff a young chap from Essex and lass with blonde hair served me and my family and were brilliant!

I had a fantastic burger from Hub today, but what really stuck with me was the incredible service and the staff. Lewis was especially thoughtful - after discovering I was staying locally and awaiting some bad news within the family, he expressed sympathy and kindness that was very welcome in that moment. Awesome food and an awesome team.

Came in today to celebrate my birthday. Being Coeliac I am always concerned about eating out but I have to say that you guys went above and beyond to cater for me. There was a excellent choice of GF food for me and it was great to have a milkshake with out any worry! The staff handled my food separately from everyone else and really took care of me! Will definitely recommend to others in the GF community and be back soon for another visit. Thank you

Amazing atmosphere from the moment you walk in, greeted by the friendliest staff. Food was amazing and so was the variety of choice especially with being a vegetarian myself. Will definitely be somewhere we keep returning to. 5 star!

We popped in here for a drink before going to watch Barbie in the cinema next door and we didn’t regret it. We were welcomed by a lovely lady, seated in a comfortable corner table and given the menus and cocktail list. We took advantage of the 2 for £12 cocktails and were not disappointed. Great flavours, good alcohol content. Because we had enjoyed it so much we went back after the cinema and had more cocktails and some of the small plates menu. The food was lovely and delivered in good time. The whole atmosphere of the place was brilliant but what sets this apart from other venues in RWY are the staff. Everyone who served us was professional but also fun and engaging which was really refreshing. They all made time for a chat and a laugh whilst still going about their jobs. It made the visit extra special. Will definitely be back.

Lovely staff, attentive despite the large number of customers rolling in, which gave the place a nice buzz. There was live music which was very good but maybe a bit loud for some people we noticed trying to chat. Our food was very good & we will return!

Food was delicious and honestly recommend the food. However, not much involvement with the staff other than the one member who was wearing the black uniform and has very short black hair.she was honestly the highlight of our experience (thank you to so much to her). Other than that was good but improvements to keeping an eye on tables a lot more because two tables around us tried to order dessert and gave up so got the bill instead.

Went here for lunch today with friends, amazing food, amazing atmosphere. We were served by Lewis who was excellent, friendly, informative and made us feel so welcomed. We went to Royal William Yard for a spot of lunch, two retired adults, our adult daughter, toddler granddaughter and a little spaniel dog. We thought we’d have to sit outside with the little dog, but Hub welcome dogs inside, which was a lovely surprise and a really customer friendly attitude. The staff were extremely accommodating, allowing us to choose our seating area (and even more than once as we faffed about asking for high chairs & a bit of seclusion away from the sound system, other people, this table here, that table near a window etc) A delightful venue, with an interesting ‘sixties come shabby French industrial’ vibe, inner rooms with a calmer atmosphere than the busier main entrance area. Menu was interesting with an eclectic mix of dishes. ( a very extensive drinks menu with some lovely original soft drinks as well as alcoholic choices) In the event we all chose various burgers which we noted were all procured from the famous Philip Warren butcher in Cornwall… all locally bred beef. Staff were again incredibly accommodating as we asked to swap out our burger meal house fries for alternative ‘fries’ varieties available as stand alone dishes on the menu. The Parmesan fries as well as the courgette fries were just incredible. The burgers themselves sublime. The portions generous. We loved our lunch! There is a children’s menu for £9 which included a main meal, a drink (including milkshakes) and dessert. Our granddaughter had Hub made fish fingers & house fries with ice cream sundae for pudding. Great standard of food again. The staff were absolutely lovely. Attentive, relaxed and charming. Went out of their way to make a fuss of both our granddaughter and the dog. Nothing seemed too much trouble. We had such a relaxed and happy time. Hub RWY has shot to the top of my favourite places to go for lunch. Will be more adventurous next time with some of their ‘small dishes’ , especially some of the interesting vegetable dishes, now I know how great the standard is.

The restaurant has lost its friendly welcome and original objectives. Visited last night, whilst food was ok. We have visited a number of time. And been very impressed at its friendly welcome and atmosphere. I understand it’s now gone upmarket but I think it’s lost it’s way. Sometimes you can blend a change but it’s definitely become much the same as similar establishments. Great shame

Chose here as there were vegetarians in our party and they were expecting a range of suitable items on the menu like when it was hub box. They were really disappointed that only one item was on the menu. We were just deciding where else we could go, but decided to ask if there were any vegetarian specials. We were then told that most menu items can be made vegetarian! Why is this a secret? It’s like you want people to leave. Why can’t you advertise this? Perhaps on a chalk board. Thankfully your staff are on the ball and we ended up having a lovely meal.

We tried the Hubbox having tried a neighbouring restaurant for lunch. Very impressed by the quality of food and also the service. Both the kids and adults portions were generous and the setting sun over the harbour was stunning

May bank holiday Monday. Found space to park close by, wandered over and they welcomed our dog, even inside. Friendly staff. Not busy but several big family tables. Service quickish, fies and onions may have been a few minutes out and not very warm but the burgers were good, the pineapple drinks surprisingly refreshing and our one Cornish cream tea desert tub didn’t disappoint because of the novelty.
