Cute cafe with a comics theme. There are old comics on the tables you can read while you have a coffee. I flipped through an old Superman comic and a Whizzer and Chips (which was, imo, better than the Beano, and much missed). The food (waffles, sourdough toast) was good and the coffee was excellent. Being just off the main run of shops, the Comicoffee is a good bet for finding a table on a busy day, especially as it is one of the best places for lunch in Newport.
