Stunning little cafe. Staff all happy and cheerful. The most nicest toasties we’ve had in ages.

A cosy and very friendly café, perfect for breakfast or a light lunch. I was served possibly the fluffiest, tastiest pancakes I've ever had, and the cakes in the display looked incredible - if I find myself in Padstow again, I'll definitely be back.

First time here was excellent. Second time we went with family. Was not impressed. We went for breakfast. Was not busy. Only us in there. And my Daughters food came out burnt. We did say about this and had a refund on my Daughter’s food. Staff were busy talking amongst them selfes. Over all not as good as first time.

Extremely disappointed with how my wife and I were treated today. We went to Padstow for a trip out and decided to pop into the Cherry Trees Coffee House (harbour side) for a coffee and may be something to eat. I asked for a table for a couple of coffees. The coffee shop only had two other customers (time being 1:30pm) yet we were treated to a statement ”as we’re not too busy we will let you take a table”, clearly not wanting us custom if only wanting a coffee each. We did buy a slice of cake as well. After finishing and paying and just about to leave there was a heavy hail shower so just waited for a minute. The lady said “if we get busy I will have to ask you to leave”, at that moment another couple came in, we stepped aside and the lady then said “see this is what I meant” insinuating we were in the way. We promptly left into the heavy shower and will definitely not be spending our money in that tea shop again. This time of year in Padstow most shops are closed and the town is extremely ghostly quiet. We like to have a drink an bite to help out the traders in these quiet times but obviously our custom was not appreciated here.

As locals we have been coming here for over eight years, However went out of season last week and was shocked at the RUDE staff, we were told if you don’t have a cake and coffee each we were not welcome at 2pm in the afternoon, then they sat us almost on top of other dinners with only about 20cm gap between tables!? Yet another Padstow tourist trap now who have become greedy, shame on you Emma and family, maybe you forget who helped you through the covid periods? Last visit from us and we will no longer recommend to any of our guest!

Amazing food with brilliant service in a beautiful spot in the harbour.

Had a Cornish cream tea and a slab of chocolate cake to take away. Well packed in good strong boxes and even had a eco friendly wooden knife in the cream tea box. Prices reasonable and good sized portions. One of the best little gems in Padstow 👍👏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Such a lovely place, service was impeccable, the lady who calls every darling, what a lovely lady! We had the scones which were amazing, on a par with the top notch hotels in London!

Wasn’t greatly impressed, food average but rather bland, staff were great and really helpful and obviously the location is great..

Really lovely but need more gluten free lunch options for people who are vegan or can't eat eggs. Many GF breads contain egg white and so do pastries etc. A great easy option is jacket potatoes - please can you add these to the menu??

Been coming to the original and smaller cafe overlooking the Harbour for years and now the larger additional cafe and shop just behind is a new favourite. Just adorable and best place in Padstow in our view. Enjoyed hot turkey bap for a pre Xmas visit this weekend and as ever, did not disappoint. Best coffee and cakes in Cornwall too Just fab !!!

Called in & couldn't see a free table but the lovely lady pushed two together for our party of 4. Cakes were excellent - coffee & walnut & victoria sponge. Coffee was delicious. Service was great & felt welcomed. Would definitely go again to try some of the lovely looking food. Highly recommend a visit. So nice to find a coffee shop that is not part of a chain.

Called in for the second time today after the coffee and cake we had last time was so good. Visited with friends who were equally impressed. Large portions of coffee and walnut and victoria sandwich were the choice today. Staff very welcoming and friendly too. Will definitely be visiting again soon and may be for lunch/brunch next time.

Called in mid afternoon, usual v cheerful meet and greet, wide selection of cakes, we ate lemon meringue and blueberry and lemon loaf, all v tasty and huge portions, many thanks

A fabulous café. Food and drinks are fantastic and the service is outstanding. Brilliant for breakfast, lunch or a cream tea. Very highly recommended.

Of all the places to eat in Padstow this must be one of the best independent restaurants. Everything from coffees, cakes, soups and pasties. Good, friendly service from the moment we arrived. Prompt food service. Located right on the front overlooking the harbour. 5*

Now if Carlsberg did Roulade - the best I’ve had and also top Flat White served by great staff. Thank you.

Visited for lunch, and the food was so good I went back for afternoon coffee and cake. The food is wonderful, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier. Will definitely be returning. Highly recommend the ‘magic mushrooms’ on the brunch menu and the berry roulade!

Delicious Cream teas and great cappuccino. Very friendly and our collie recommends the turkey biscuits.... Spotlessly clean, warm and cosy on cold day....

This cafe is top of our list to visit when we come to Cornwall, we love it. We often have to wait for a seat, but it's totally worth it. Today, we stopped off for breakfast and returned later for cake. Service is always so friendly, too. Great to hear they've opened a 2nd cafe & gift shop, just around the corner.

This is the only place to have coffee/ tea and cake in Padstow! Worth the wait for a table every time, and if you really don’t have time just do takeaway cake. Great for breakfast or a light lunch. Always amazing cake, cookie, flapjack, roulade/ pavlova, and always great service. Any where else we go is always compared to The Cherry Tree!

Average pasty but salads were amazing Be aware that dining in is much more expensive than take outs e.g indoor pasty approx £4 more than same pasty taken out

This is the best place ever for eat in or take away desserts. We had take away this time - cream tea, strawberry cheesecake and the infamous lemon meringue pie Highly recommend

We called in for cappuccinos and were tempted by a scone too. Lovely coffee and the scones were amazing! We watched a fabulous lemon meringue being conveyed from the kitchen to the counter and we’ll definitely have some on another visit!

We visited a number of times during our week stay in padstow. The staff were always super friendly and food and drink delicious !

I visit here each year I go to Cornwall, the food is amazing.. especially the bacon and Brie toastie! The cakes also taste delicious! Would highly recommend a trip here, and the banana chocolate cake!

Stopped for a hot beverage with my husband and two young children and couldn’t resist some sugary snacks too! I’m often allured by the cakes on display in coffee shops and have always been disappointed - not this time! Coffee and walnut cake was so delicious and three layers high! We also had a Maltesers cookie and a children’s shortbread biscuit and it was all delicious, homemade tasting food. The coffee comes hot and the tea is perfect for warming up at this chilly and windy time of year. If I lived closer I’d be here all the time!

Rainy day in padstow and came across this busy little place, Ordered the hake fish finger baguette and a full breakfast , Mine was the fish and it exceeded what I thought I'd get and was big amout absolutely no complaints , Mrs had the breakfast and she said it was pretty grim apart from the sausages and upon appearances looked grim and bacon was beyond cooked and out of our 7 days in Cornwall the breakfast was worst meal. The staff were pretty polite but thought the lady who served our menu and food coukd have been a bit more polite. Woukd come here again and is highly recommended 👌

Was really keen to try here due to other reviews but was disappointed to read they didn't allow dogs, that is not true thankfully, they DO allow dogs. A really delightful coffee house. The menu is huge, full of homemade cakes, biscuits, scones and treats. Busy place, but put your name on the waiting list, you won't be waiting for long.

Lovely lunch and afternoon tea was delicious with gorgeous warm scones served with clotted cream and jam. Lovely variety of freshly baked cakes and the shakes looked yummy 😋.

We came here for an afternoon tea with scones. Scones, jam and cream were excellent and when we asked for more jam we were given some . The cakes and cookies were delicious, however the lady who served us was clearly not enthralled about having to make an oreo milkshake (which cost £6) and when served was made from milk, ice cubes and a blended oreo, decorated with some cream - however the presentation of the milkshake was lovely. Some of the staff were very welcoming and kind, but other staff members clearly were fed up with the businesses and constant flow of customers. Each of our foods came at 5 minutes intervals and we also ended up waiting 10minutes for a cookie (that was sat on the the counter) and a further 5minutes for the milkshake. The location and atmosphere was decorated well and provided a good atmosphere.

I love this place. A favourite haunt of my mum when she's in Padstow. I spent 2.5hr here having super coffee and eggs benedict while waiting to do the Padstow to Rock sponsored swim for Marie Curie. Super atmosphere. It's always busy, cos it's good, but they also do takeaway. It's tight on the harbour so easy to find. Enjoy x

A busy day in Padstow this was a real find w lovely helpful staff and four delicious lunches. Highly recommended. They have opened a second cafe Cherry Blossom around the corner to cater for demand.

Simply outstanding - without doubt the best Victoria sponge cake I have ever tasted - and I've sampled a few! Cream tea was delicious and you can choose your own drink so enjoy a latte with that scone if you want to. Service was friendly and welcoming - an absolute credit to Padstow! Will be making sure future trips involve a stop here!

After 40 years of having cream teas in Cornwall, this is the only place I have come across that you don't get a cup of tea with your cream tea. I mean the clues in the name CREAM TEA. They don't advertise this, you only get to know after you have received it and you ask where your tea is, then they tell you, making a cream tea very expensive. Shame on you Cherry Trees
