Mixed feelings here, the staff were lovely and the cakes were excellent. But the hot food was a disappointment. I ordered an award winning pasty (cheese and onion) and it was the most bland pasty I have ever tried. It didn't say what the award was, perhaps it was for the bland pasty of the year. The seating was very cramped, but it is trying to get the most from a small room. Please find a better pasty supplier.!!!

10/10 There were 4 of us on Sunday, we had an amazing time enjoying savour items especially enjoyed the Cornish Rarebit. The person who served us was efficient, friendly and helpful. The cakes we took away were delicious. The surroundings were intimate, attractive, comfortable and very clean. In all we found Cherry Tree Coffee House superb and definitely worth a revisit. Great food and great service. My partner has loads of food intolerances and she had a chat with the ladies there who sorted her out a nice coffee and cake without any issues. We went back the next day and had a sandwich and some more coffee and cake! Only in Padstow a week but looks like we will fill up the loyalty card! No point risking anywhere else when it's this good!

Really disappointed. We been visiting Padstow for last 10 years and it’s used to be a friendly nice food place. But last few visits this holiday we absolutely disappointed. Ordered 2 cream teas, pasty and pot of tea, at the end was charged for 3 pots of tea because the brought big one (just because it’s 3 of us) but we ordered small at the first place. Pasty was reheated in the microwave, wet and old. Cream teas, one of the pot of cream was off, didn’t realised at the first place only after putting at one cone asked if it’s look normal and they said “sorry” and brought new cream pot, didn’t swap my waisted cone, so had one one. So unfriendly stuff. Only care about charge you and waiting for you to leave. As soon as we have finished eating, stuff was taken, didn’t gave as time to finish tea. Compare to few years ago when it was warm and friendly place and now its went down the hill, we won’t visit this place again. That is a shame all people care now a day how to over charge and not even trying to smile, most of the people here on holiday and places like this just a big disappointment.

Only stopped for a drink. Ended up had cake as well cause why not they looked amazing. Staff friendly and helpful. Great place for a quick rest

This is our 3rd visit to this excellent place, please don't ever change anything about it. The staff deserve 5 stars The food deserves 5 stars Everything about this place is fabulous. can't wait to come back again.

We decided on a break for coffee and cake…would never eat or drink in the place adjacent to Cherry Trees again, one word, disgusting…Cherry Trees, on the other hand sells great coffee and lovely cakes…thoroughly recommended

Sadly after years always going back when holiday, as the service was always very good,lovely food, value for money and lovely atmosphere , this year not only dodgy we have to go up and order our food, so not service we loved, quality and quantity of food was very poor, my husband and I had Harbour side breakfast which was I messly slice of toast with one supposedly poached , which was hard yoked not runny, and two chipolata sausages just over £10, yes we should have said something but we were tired from our 6 hour journey , we were so looking foward to our annual breakfast at Cherry trees, but left very disappointed, and sadly won't be going back.Seem portions much smaller, prices higher, quality poor and service none very sad, as we won't be going back and definetly won't recommending any more

Great coffee. Best scones ever eaten. Charming staff. Wish I could go back for lunch! Nothing more to add. Apart from the lovely toilets 🙂

Excellent service - very pleasant, friendly and efficient. Cafe has a nice vibe to it, as well as the great view of the harbour. Pretty standard fair of hot drinks and nice cakes.

When visiting Padstow, cherry trees is an absolute must for a coffee and a sweet treat. Great selection of food and drinks and really friendly staff

Paused for a takeaway breakfast bap and hot chocolate before cycling the Camel Trail. So good, I returned two days later for the same, though second time round the bacon could have had an extra couple minutes in the pan. Bap bread itself was very good.

Good and varied range. GF options and the GF scone actually tasted like a scone, many thanks for that.

Lovely caring staff, wonderful food (I had the afternoon tea and a chai latte). Very mindful of allergies and dog friendly too. Will definitely be here again.

Always my favourite cafe but today a big thank you to Lauren who came to the rescue when I couldn't pay by phone and let me transfer the money to her bank account and then she paid for me. What fantastic staff!

Great cosy cafe / restaurant. Good food options. Visited for breakfast; very good and a very cheery service! Relatively small - so need to luck out a little on finding a seat - but worth a wait. Right on the harbour side.

We had some beautiful cakes from Cherry Tree coffee house. We enjoyed them that much that we went again when we visited Padstow next.

One of THE BEST things about our trip to Padstow were our visits to Cherry Blossom and Cherry Trees. Lunches were delicious, cakes were incredible; rarely do cakes that look so pretty taste so good, and the coffee was the best too Cherry Trees is fab but can't take dogs inside so head to blossoms if you have pups with you x

We have been here over the years when we visit Padstow. The food has been consistently good. It is very popular and can be busy for eating in. You can have takeaway from here too.

Visited here for the first time and will endeavour to return. First of all the staff are absolutely brilliant. Patient and friendly, a difficult achievement when very very busy. A great coffee served with victoria sandwich and Bakewell tart. Most Bakewell tart is better outside of Bakewell and this one was right up there with the best.

We really liked the food here .. so much so that we picked up Desserts and Sandwiches here for lunch most days while staying in Padstow. My only moan .. was that when you order to takeaway they ask you to stand the other side of the road and they will call you and one of the days we waited the lady was not very polite about it. But the food was great !

Wow this place really ticked all the boxes for me Such a warm welcome from the staff, a feel good atmosphere and superb food. From the minute I walked in it was obvious that this place was someone’s dream ambition made real. The owner, Emma, has passionately created the most amazing coffee house for holidaymakers, and local’s alike, to not only indulge in too die for sweet treats with a pot of tea or artisan coffee, but delicious meals throughout the day. The place is a little rough around the edges in places but this only adds to charm of the place. Having rocked up in Padstow at 9am I found myself tucking into wild mushrooms and crushed avocado on the best walnut bread I’ve ever had. To full to indulge I drooled at the rows of cakes and cookies in the glass cabinets. I could have moved in for the week and just worked my way through the menu This place is a gem

Came with high expectations as was referenced by friends but was a little disappointed. Prices high, portions small. Nothing special. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Came here on saturday 3rd of August and bought a bacon roll which was lovely and hot and two brownies and oh my they were so gooey and perfect, i will be back again soon for more brownies, they hit the spot. the staff are also super friendly, smiles on their faces and always polite :)

A morning visit for a wonderful breakfast. We chose the full Cornish, but lots of other options available. I loved the hog roll.

Giant pastie was over priced and lacked taste Scones were both dry and very unpleasant to eat !!! Won’t be coming back anytime soon

This place is so lovely, set within a bustling area this cafe thrives on the small space it has to offer. The servers here were lovely, attentive and smiley. Came here twice on our short trip to Cornwall and were pleasantly impressed by both of our experiences. The magic mushrooms were so impressive, flavoursome and filling.

Stopped here for our morning coffee on a visit to Padstow. The coffee tasted good and there was a great selection of sweet treats, I had a caramel shortbread which was lovely. Dogs are not allowed in the cherry trees coffee house but a waitress informed me that they were allowed at their other café on the other side-Cherry Blossom. They charge you extra to eat in which is always frustrating which is why I have decided to give 4 stars. Overall, it is a great place to stop for coffee.

Wow! What a wonderful little find this was. I visited with friends last week. The food was excellent, with friendly and efficient service throughout. Though very full after our pancakes, couldn’t resist a takeaway blondie!

Cherry Trees is our favourite breakfast stop and we have visited many times! Having been away for a couple of nights in Tintagel, we were looking for breakfast on our way home and we both said 'Cherry Trees'!! The food never disappoints and the service is always spot on! Fresh food and awesome cakes .. Highly recommended! Looking forward to seeing you all again very soon!

We had several breakfasts/brunches here whilst in Padstow and thoroughly enjoyed them. Staff were excellent. Friendly and helpful and very efficient. Food was always delicious and hot. Lovely tea and coffee. Gorgeous displays of cakes and cookies were extremely tempting and we did give in to that temptation on a couple of occasions!

Had seen this online and just by chance came across it along by the harbour. Lots of choice and something for everyone. Short wait for a table for four of us but the time went quickly as we were able to look out across the harbour to pass our time. Everything was delicious and good value. Takeaway menu available. Quite a markup if you sat inside but staff and food made it worth it for us.

This place is absolutely amazing, super friendly service and very good food at reasonable prices in Padstow. We’ve been here for breakfast a few times, also had delicious scones with jam and clotted cream - scones are made in house, they arrive warm and delicious to your table . Highly recommend , we will definitely be back before we head home :)

Visited this superb cafe whilst on a visit to Padstow. It was extremely busy but staff were helpful and service was good throughout. It obviously had a good reputation as people were going on a waiting board to get a table. I opted for a Chilli Chicken Toasted Sandwich with a cappuccino. Hubby had a Cornish Pastie with Coleslaw and a Banana Milkshake. Highly recommend this lovely cafe.

Absolutely fabulous.Great position adjacent to Padstow Harbour.Extremely friendly and welcoming.The menu is varied and prices very reasonable.Highly recommend the bubble n squeak it was delicious.We will definitely return and make sure we leave room for some cake as they looked amazing 🤩. We've been hoping to get back here for a while and were not dissapointed. Didn't expect to be seated as quickly as we were. Staff friendly and polite as in previous visit. Coffee & walnut cake and berry roulade were excellent. Will be back.

We first found this place 2 years ago when on holiday and everything is as good now as it was then. Had a sandwich and cake yesterday and as the cakes looked delicious and tasted amazing we went back today. The food is amazing and very reasonable priced and the staff are very helpful. would highly recommend 😁

A busy little cafe right on the harbour. The food was good but I found my mushrooms on toast very tasteless and lack luster! My partner enjoyed his breakfast though and the cakes looked fab - we got a cookie to go and it was really good. Great selection on the menu and I’d return to try something different next time.

We had a Vegan pasty and a vegan wrap to take away and they were delicious. We will be back after our sea safari to get a lovely vegan cake 🥰

me and 3 others went for coffee and lunch and decided not to stay and order food. not sure who decided it was okay to charge extra to eat in a restaurant but it’s ridiculous. so if you want to pay an extra £4 to sit in and eat a baguette this place is perfect for you!

Perfect place to stop to have a light bite to eat! The staff are ever so friendly, warm welcomes full of smiles!

Great cake selection. However, I had to order food to sit in to have a coffee. I ordered a pasty and was upset to see it was £4 to have a pasty to sit in than to take away. The med veg pasty was flavoursome but the texture was all mushy Its a little place with about 5 tables

We stopped here for lunch while in Padstow. The food and service was excellent, we really enjoyed the cream tea. Provided a welcome spot to get out of the rain as well! Would recommend!

Lovely coffee and sweet treats! Their Cakes have a lot of varieties, so enticing, makes you say “I like them all”. Staffs were very friendly, they kept on smiling that made our stay comfortable. Only that seats at this location were very limited. Nevertheless, coffee session was exceptional!

We were looking for somewhere to sit and have some breakfast and we found a great spot. They had great options for food and even adapted the adult pancakes into kids portions for us which was fantastic. The coffee (decaf and milk alternatives available) was lovely and I had a small version of a full English which was delicious. The lady brought over a couple of little chalk boards for my boys to keep them entertained, which was perfect for noughts and crosses! It would have been even better if it'd had a view out across the harbour, but the service was fast, so really, we weren't in there too long. Overall a great brekkie, friendly service and grateful they could fit in a family of 5 at a busy time of day 😁

We saw that there was GF on the menu and decided to give it a try. Many places have bland GF alternatives but this place was absolutely amazing. We had toasties, baguettes and cake in our group and every single person commented on how good it was. Amazing place and will probably return tomorrow to try something else on the menu!

We are a group of 4, 2 of which are Coeliac. We are staying up the road and as a coeliac it causes some anxiety about eating out. We walked past the cafe and I popped in to see if they did any gluten free food. To my delight they had quite a bit. All the ladies working in there were so lovely and helpful. And luckily we waited only 5-10 mins for a table. Gluten Free Scones, Cakes, brownies, Toasties, sandwiches and more. It was hands down the BEST gluten free sandwich I have ever had. I had the bacon, Brie and caramelised onion toasties. Blimmin delicious! Not dry or tasteless at all which a lot of GF sandwiches are. My daughter also a coeliac had a ham and cheese toastie and a banana milkshake. She loved it! My husband had a garlic prawn and avo baguette which he loved and my mother in law had the strawberry Eaton mess cheese cake which she said quote was an “outstanding cake”. We shall be return in the week to sample more lunch and cakes.

Looking for a spot of lunch? Look no further. We had to wait for a table for a table for about 30 minutes but it was worth it! The service and the welcome was second to none, considering that most customers are there for a one-off visit. Next time we are in Padstow we will defo stop by. Superb.

A cosy and very friendly café, perfect for breakfast or a light lunch. I was served possibly the fluffiest, tastiest pancakes I've ever had, and the cakes in the display looked incredible - if I find myself in Padstow again, I'll definitely be back.

First time here was excellent. Second time we went with family. Was not impressed. We went for breakfast. Was not busy. Only us in there. And my Daughters food came out burnt. We did say about this and had a refund on my Daughter’s food. Staff were busy talking amongst them selfes. Over all not as good as first time.

Extremely disappointed with how my wife and I were treated today. We went to Padstow for a trip out and decided to pop into the Cherry Trees Coffee House (harbour side) for a coffee and may be something to eat. I asked for a table for a couple of coffees. The coffee shop only had two other customers (time being 1:30pm) yet we were treated to a statement ”as we’re not too busy we will let you take a table”, clearly not wanting us custom if only wanting a coffee each. We did buy a slice of cake as well. After finishing and paying and just about to leave there was a heavy hail shower so just waited for a minute. The lady said “if we get busy I will have to ask you to leave”, at that moment another couple came in, we stepped aside and the lady then said “see this is what I meant” insinuating we were in the way. We promptly left into the heavy shower and will definitely not be spending our money in that tea shop again. This time of year in Padstow most shops are closed and the town is extremely ghostly quiet. We like to have a drink an bite to help out the traders in these quiet times but obviously our custom was not appreciated here.

As locals we have been coming here for over eight years, However went out of season last week and was shocked at the RUDE staff, we were told if you don’t have a cake and coffee each we were not welcome at 2pm in the afternoon, then they sat us almost on top of other dinners with only about 20cm gap between tables!? Yet another Padstow tourist trap now who have become greedy, shame on you Emma and family, maybe you forget who helped you through the covid periods? Last visit from us and we will no longer recommend to any of our guest!

Amazing food with brilliant service in a beautiful spot in the harbour.

Had a Cornish cream tea and a slab of chocolate cake to take away. Well packed in good strong boxes and even had a eco friendly wooden knife in the cream tea box. Prices reasonable and good sized portions. One of the best little gems in Padstow 👍👏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Such a lovely place, service was impeccable, the lady who calls every darling, what a lovely lady! We had the scones which were amazing, on a par with the top notch hotels in London!

Really lovely but need more gluten free lunch options for people who are vegan or can't eat eggs. Many GF breads contain egg white and so do pastries etc. A great easy option is jacket potatoes - please can you add these to the menu??

Been coming to the original and smaller cafe overlooking the Harbour for years and now the larger additional cafe and shop just behind is a new favourite. Just adorable and best place in Padstow in our view. Enjoyed hot turkey bap for a pre Xmas visit this weekend and as ever, did not disappoint. Best coffee and cakes in Cornwall too Just fab !!!

Called in & couldn't see a free table but the lovely lady pushed two together for our party of 4. Cakes were excellent - coffee & walnut & victoria sponge. Coffee was delicious. Service was great & felt welcomed. Would definitely go again to try some of the lovely looking food. Highly recommend a visit. So nice to find a coffee shop that is not part of a chain.

Called in for the second time today after the coffee and cake we had last time was so good. Visited with friends who were equally impressed. Large portions of coffee and walnut and victoria sandwich were the choice today. Staff very welcoming and friendly too. Will definitely be visiting again soon and may be for lunch/brunch next time.

Called in mid afternoon, usual v cheerful meet and greet, wide selection of cakes, we ate lemon meringue and blueberry and lemon loaf, all v tasty and huge portions, many thanks

Of all the places to eat in Padstow this must be one of the best independent restaurants. Everything from coffees, cakes, soups and pasties. Good, friendly service from the moment we arrived. Prompt food service. Located right on the front overlooking the harbour. 5*

Now if Carlsberg did Roulade - the best I’ve had and also top Flat White served by great staff. Thank you.

Visited for lunch, and the food was so good I went back for afternoon coffee and cake. The food is wonderful, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier. Will definitely be returning. Highly recommend the ‘magic mushrooms’ on the brunch menu and the berry roulade!

Delicious Cream teas and great cappuccino. Very friendly and our collie recommends the turkey biscuits.... Spotlessly clean, warm and cosy on cold day....

This cafe is top of our list to visit when we come to Cornwall, we love it. We often have to wait for a seat, but it's totally worth it. Today, we stopped off for breakfast and returned later for cake. Service is always so friendly, too. Great to hear they've opened a 2nd cafe & gift shop, just around the corner.
