The best restaurants in Scotland

Very disappointing. There were some really good aspects, the steak was good, the cocktails were great and the staff were lovely. But the sides and desserts were hopeless. And for that sort of money, it's unacceptable. Would not go back

I mainly bought souvenirs from the chocolate shop. The mini chocolate mountains and chocolate fish’n’chips were a huge hit - Very fun and unique. The cafe was super cute looking. Wish I had more room in my stomach to enjoy the desserts there. EDIT: the quality of the chocolate was a quite poor. Would be better to just leave any souvenirs untouched.

We had a fantastic meal this evening! Great service too!

Beautiful inside basically transports you in time

Pizza completamente bruciata. Immangiabile. Abbiamo girato la pizza per far capire al proprietario e ai camerieri che la pizza non era commestibile. Nessuno ha chiesto perché non avessimo mangiato.

Excited to return to Roastits. I knew there had been a major makeover but never knew till today that there was new management and chef The menu of course had changed and no longer had the great choice. I am not a great breakfast person and usually go for lunch. This was no longer an option. I chose a pulled pork with ham on sourdough. It turned up with no pulled pork or ham but roast pork which turned my stomach. I was not told about this when I gave my order. I returned it to the kitchen. I reordered the haddock rarebit which was nice enough, but would not reorder it. I was looking forward to sweet but chose against it due to the lack of suitable choices. All in all it is very different from the old Roastit Bubbly Jocks. No longer my cup of tea. My partner enjoyed his breakfast, not so his sweet. His breakfast was a much smaller portion. The couple at the next table had the same opinion as us. The girl like me had difficulty in making a choice. So if you think you are going to the old restaurant... Stop and consider. Food was nice and fresh but I felt the menu was a little limited. I had the baked cod with orzo and tomato but not a lot of it. Personally I think there are better choices in Oban.

Lovely place, lovely staff, fabulous ice cream. My dad's been getting his snowballs here for 65 years.

Not my cup of tea, had a gift voucher so used it. Mexican menu some was nice, some not so much. Seabass soup thing in the middle was too spicy and killed my taste buds for the rest! My biggest issue is the service charge being added to the bill without authorisation. In my case it was 13 quid. Honestly I will tip if its warrants it, I genuinely am a generous tipper. But to have it sneaked into the bill was underhand. I asked it to be removed, the service was not all that good. Standard at best. Not 13 quid worth! I wonder how many people have not noticed this. It needs to be stopped. If people want to tip they will. I now never return as I can't trust the company. Plus maybe have your lunch before you go as you won't be full after.

Not one to leave bad reviews but I dare anyone to look how dirty the restaurant is when they go in, sat in the corner next to a pillar. Pillar and window was caked in sauce that's been there a lot longer than the one day as the pillar has a fabric cover which I know they ain't cleaning hahahaha!... Price was reasonable considering the location but the service sucked bro, blue cheese was like milk and the honey mustard was just honey with a tickle of mustard... I get everyone has different ideas of how sauces are supposed to be and I get the restaurant can have their sauce whatever way they want... But bro, clean your restaurant!

Used to be one of my favourite restaurants until yesterday Service was ok but we ordered 2 starters and 4mains which all came at same time There was not enough room on the table for us to eat, so we ate at an angle, far from ideal. The food of course got cold quickly which spoiled it. Not that it would have taken much to spoil the Patatas Bravas they were disgusting to begin with ! Nothing like the real thing & undercooked, the waiter made no comment when we left them.. The meatballs were good as was the honey chicken but it feels as though this restaurant is deteriorating and we won’t be rushing back.

Small, very busy restaurant with fantastic service, the food wasn’t quite what I was expecting, perhaps I ordered the wrong thing but I just didn’t find it that authentic. The tempura prawns were definitely more panko and the Thai curry sauce was very thick and clawing, I ordered with medium rare steak but unfortunately it arrived more rare and unrested resulting in the bloody juices leaking into the coconut cream sauce which just looked very unpleasant. On a positive the crab dumplings (I think that’s what they were) were really tasty and again the staff were all really friendly.
