Cafe Andaluz City Centre in Glasgow City

We shared four tapas and two desserts, all very well prepared using good ingredients; very much an authentic taste of Andalucia in Scotland. We had not booked but were found a table, it was early Tuesday evening and very busy, attesting to its qualities. The staff were attentive and efficient and given its location right in the centre of Glasgow the price was very reasonable. Highly recommended.

We have eaten many times in Cafe Andaluz over the years , enjoying the food and ambiance. This time we visited as a family group of 7 including young grandchildren, one with a dairy and nut allergy. Various members of staff including the manager spent a considerable time with the parents checking dietary and allergy information for individual dishes against his manual so that appropriate food could be ordered. All staff took the allergy issue sseriously. They even adapted a desert dish so that it was dairy free but looked similar to her sister's. The food also arrived in good time. The restaurant was very busy - we cannot fault the service.

This was a pre-theatre meal. We chose the 3 tapas for £18.95 menu which we considered good value. The welcome on arrival was warm and good humoured and the serving staff were always very pleasant. The atmosphere was good and there was a nice rustic feel to the evening. All the tapas were tasty and as we would have wanted, and the Mureda Sauvignon Blanc also very nice - if a tad pricey at £26. I do not like 'discretionary charges, as I prefer to make my own cash tip for good service. I didn't delete it, but now wish I had! However this feeling does not distract from what was an excellent meal.

Excellent restaurant with beautiful food, ambiance, service and drinks. We have eaten here many times and count it as one of our all time favourites! Paella is a great size for sharing and well worth the wait. I simply couldn’t choose our favourite tapas as they are all very tasty.

Voucher Rip Off - Beware. Had a voucher for a meal, worth £39.00, was charged 10% on the total bill of £52.00, including the voucher when my actual cash spend was only £13.00 Had they charged on the cash spend the service charge would only have been £1.30. This left a sour taste, especially after such a lovely meal. Also, server did not point out that there was a discretionary service charge.

Visited with my friends on a double date night! Drinks were flowering, cocktails were delicious! Food was tasty. Lovely atmosphere, really enjoyed.

Lucky enough to have received a gift of a set 5pm voucher. Food was served promptly, good selection and was delicious. Asked to swap sangria for glass of wine (as most other similar deals are happy to do) however could only swap for soft drink. Not sure if it was due to the voucher but found the staff were not overly welcoming or friendly.

This was my first visit to Cafe Andaluz and unfortunately I am in no rush to return. I went with a group of friends, a few of us did not receive our drinks until after we were finished our meal despite us asking twice, thankfully we were given water for the table! We did not receive a side dish instead received a main dish that was not ordered. The food was nice but unfortunately not worth the price in my opinion and my friend had a very limited choice of vegetarian options. The waiter apologised and our drinks order for the entire table and incorrect dishes were removed from the bill with apologies. Overall the restaurant and food were nice but the service was a bit disappointing.

Very strange experience here. we went Monday nigh quite night with family . We finished our meal and ask waitress. we want go for dessert and ask for the menu . While waiting for dessert menu other waiter came with bill and asking n funny way who is who is paying. bringing bill even not asking if we ready for bill. ask him why he is in hurry if you closing soon 8 pm.Luckily other waiter come to rescue find it very unpleasant.understand 10 percent service charge on top of the bill that’s could be reason don’t care.

Dropped in for a table for one. Friendly service from the moment I opened the door. A good atmosphere for a Tuesday night. Food and wine was excellent. Lots of family's and couples dining. Service was quick but not rushed. Well satisfied.

We went at 6pm on a Friday night with a pre booked table. We were offered the lunch menu which meant we could get the 3 tapas for £17.95 which was excellent as we fully expected to pay full prices. The food was excellent quality and the waitress was knowledgable and helpful. The drinks were of great quality too. My partner and I had 3 tapas each and shared a patatas bravas. Excellent all round. We were celebrating a night away and our engagement. Will be keen to get back

This is a wonderful restaurant. There is context to my review. When I booked I meant to book for one person and genuinely thought I had. However I became aware in subsequent days that I had booked for two. The restaurant staff after an initial period of difficult discussions provided some wonderful food, service and were extremely accommodating of what I later realised was my mistake. I want to say thank you because their professionalism resolved an awkward situation of my creating. I will happily visit again....making sure I book correctly for the right number of people....and leave a generous tip for next time!

I visited both of the Glasgow restaurants this year and they were both fantastic. Warm friendly welcome, attentive staff, beautiful surroundings and amazing food. I do mean AMAZING food and the sangria is delish as well. The goats cheese dish and tbe lightly dusted haddock bites were my absolute favourite but honestly everything we have tried was so tasty!

This restaurant has one of the best Spanish food I've tried in my life. The chorizo al vino was heavenly as it was the Tinto de Verano. The paella tapa is a great idea if you want to have some paella, but also experience some tapas. The gambas we're delicious and juicy, the croquetas were also special. On top of that, customer service was great and the place is gorgeously decorated.

I have been a few times in the past to Cafe Andaluz - never been a huge fan but it was usually OK. The last time I went with some friends, it wasn't good. The prices had gone up considerably (like everywhere else) but they have started slapping on a service charge on too, which is something I really dislike. The staff were really nice and attentive though - can't fault them. We all had 3 tapas each and shared them. The tortilla was lukewarm and bland and came with some sort of cold ratatouille, which was bad. The patatas bravas were OK but also somewhat bland. The battered prawns were OK. The padrone peppers were only partially good - some were done properly, the others were brick hard and under cooked. The paella didn't have much more than rice in it and again was bland and had never seen a shred of saffron. Overall, everything tasted like it was all microwaved frozen dishes - being a chain, that might just be the case. And it wasn't even terribly good value eithe To drink I had an aperol spritz, which was quite watery. The barraquito coffee which came with a piece of tablet was the best part of my meal.

Atmosphere, service, taste - yes, yes, yes We took our daughter for dinner on a Monday night. As country yokels from Angus, we were not sure we would enjoy tapas but we were blown away by how delicious the food was. The evening was made by the fabulous atmosphere, decor, delicious food and above all the excellent service from our wonderful waiters, Angel from El Salvador and Viniet from Delhi. Hard-working, friendly guys, along way from home, setting high standards of service for all of us to benefit from. Thank you 🙏

Cosy and well-decorated restaurant. We were seen to quickly and our order was taken by a friendly waiter. The food was served quickly and was warm and tasty, flavourful. When our bill came, we complied with the pre-added and presumptuous, 10% charge. Although the waitress looked like it pained her to smile and say thank you. All in all nice restaurant with a few things to improve on.

Cold Buffet style Tapas 😢 Been to Tapas places before and get items served fresh once cooked. We ordered 12 tapas items and within 5 mins they were all served. Sadly they were all lukewarm. The paella looked like it had been cooked early on and kept in an oven as the outer part was crispy. The prawns, mussels, calamari were all lukewarm. The chorizo was swimming in oil and so salty and the black pudding and chorizo was more like soup and it must have been in the hot hold so long the black pudding had turned mushy. It’s a shame as we spent £170 and it was for my daughter birthday. Did not want to complain as it was a birthday. Have visited Topolobamaba were the food is served fresh and once cooked. Again this sadly felt like it was a buffet style 🥹

The food was really good and a nice setting for a couples dinner. Variety of dishes we ordered were really nice. Exceptions would be the Mushroom dish was bland and the Creamy garlic potatoes could also do with more seasoning. All in all a good meal. Disappointed to receive the bill with a 10% mandatory tip added on, I do not agree with this. I can understand in circumstances for a large table but for 2 people who had drinks order taken, food order taken and bill provided at the end and they have the cheek to add a mandatory charge for service. I would have came back again for the food but would have second thoughts after hidden charges.

Beautiful food lovely service made to feel special when ordering the food and that was delicious .The only thing I don’t like is the stairs to the toilet but I keep going back as it is well worth the money

We where here one year ago and came a gain to Glasgow over the weekend. The first thing we did was going again to this restaurant. And OMG the food and the service is fantastic. Highly recommended this place for everyone that love good food and atmosphere. Our favourite place

We had bought the Groupon deal at 39 per couple. Bread to start with olives and oil. Then 5 tapas choices which were all very tasty. Then a choice of sweet. Great value. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere and the staff were attentive without being in your face. Niggles . Table was very cluttered with all the dishes when the tapas arrives, almost a balancing act as plates had to be stacked at one point. God forbid if we had all ordered wine where it would have went. Although I wanted to tip the automatic adding of service should be offered for removal, sure some people will be shocked to find that and especially when using a Groupon deal its the whole price not just the add ons consumed during the meal. Lastly the wine was pretty expensive for such a small amount. All this taken into account I would eat here again.

Ate a late dinner, again. Started with some drinks, and chose several tapas to share. Everything we ate was so good! We had tapas in Madrid back in NOV, and this place was just as good!

My husband and I had dinner here recently. We ordered 5 to 6 tapas plates and dessert! Our server was so helpful in helping us order different dishes. Everything tasted amazing.

Ah! just fantastic, we chose the Sunday £22.50 - Three Taps and sweet option and weren't disappointed. The Asparagus was fine for sure, the chili prawns were done in an amazing sauce, the potatoes were very nice, the mussels were delicious, the chicken (batter) honey mustard was very special, garlic bread and the meat and for meat balls.....The service was brilliant, such a hard working crew. will defo be back

I am surprised by how many good reviews this place has, as it failed to deliver on all counts. It is clearly popular as it was packed on a Wednesday evening. We ordered the patatas bravas, calamares and chorizo to start. The potatoes were not crispy, the tomato sauce was bland and ours was topped with sour cream & chive dip which was awful. The calamari and chorizo were again quite bland and I'd be surprised if the calamari was fresh and not just out of a packet. The lowlight was the mixed paella for two, it was awful. There was absolutely zero flavour, there was no crust (socarrat), the squid, chicken and prawns were so overcooked and rubbery it was unpleasant. The fish was actually not too bad, but again the only flavour came from the squeeze of lemon over the top. The service was not too bad, but I can only think the Spanish staff working there would be disappointed in what Glaswegians are being served as Spanish food. Please stay away if you know what Spanish food should taste like.

Booked due to looks of good reviews about this place and I was not disappointed! As soon as you walk in you are greeted by staff and we’re quickly taken to our table. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous and it felt like you were in Spain! We were soon greeted by our waiter who was polite and efficient!
