Kastriot's Mediterranean Bar & Grill in Glasgow City

Well what can I say other than it was amazing - from the minute we arrived we felt that it had a lovely friendly feel to the place, decor is beautiful and staff all very well turned out and polite. We were offered both the lunch and ala carte menus but tbh the lunch one was idea, we had the pate (dont take offence but the portions were huge so we had to leave half of it) friend had the meatballs and said they were delicious. Then the mains omg massive again - the penne with chicken was one of the nicest pasta dishes i have had, chicken was so tender and the creamy spicy sauce was amazing, friend opted for the Gyros chicken plate which would have served 2 - again realy realy nice. Lovely bottle of Wine and some water and we had the perfect afternoon. Will we be back - 100% And I will spread the word as this is a hidden gem of a place.

We have been here a few times before and always had a great meal but I hate doing bad reviews but this is what tripadvisor is all about tbh the new menu is not an improvement as my favourite chicken Milanese has gone 😞 we had starters but for example the Halloumi fries and the prawns come with no side salad the starters were fine the mains were ok but just not as good as normal. The drinks in Kastriot’s are normally fantastic they were ok and the morreti was awful flat and not good I normally have 5-6 but had 2 and never finished the second one. So a disappointing meal but I will go back as maybe they just had a poor night one thing the waiting staff were lovely

We have been here many times but I have to say I don't quite know what happened on this occasion. The service was appalling as was the food. The souvlaki was dry, burnt and unappetising and the chips....really bad! Limp half cooked and not a lot of them! The bruschetta was soaked in olive oil and it was soggy and not really very nice at all! We haven't had a bad meal here before so I can't say this restaurant is awful but the food on Friday 30th of June was awful. It wasn't busy and for 5:30pm on a Friday night I would have expected a lot more than the handful of people eating there that night. I usually find if a restaurant is not busy during peak hours then there is a problem and there most certainly was a problem on Friday. Both of our meals were terrible and like I say, this restaurant is usually very good so perhaps this was just a one off. I don't particularly like posting bad reviews but I have to be honest in my evaluation and review and Friday night's dinner was just terrible!

Bit of a mixed bag. Some dishes were fine ,some a bit of disappointment. Daughter enjoyed her Italian burger and cheesy garlic bread but I found my Greek meatballs a bit dry.My lamb kleftico wasn't like any I had had anywhere in Greece or in another Greek restaurant. It was more of a lamb stew! Was ok but not what I was expecting . Our friend enjoyed his risotto but my wife wasn't so keen on her pitta bread dish and didn't think her dolmades were home made. Service was very slow but staff were very pleasant.

Second time I've been here (after a friend took me last Dec). I came back with my mum for a birthday lunch and she loved it as much as I did. Food was delicious. My mum ate from the 2 courses for £13.95 menu, and had halloumi fries to start (was kind enough to share them with me!) and the Pollo Florentina. I had the Kleftiko from the a la carte, and baklava for desert. The set menu is fantastic value, particularly given the portion sizes were generous, and the a la carte is very reasonably priced. Everything we had was really tasty. The staff were lovely, and the atmosphere is really nice - tasteful decor, absolutely feels like the lovely restaurant it is, but also clearly totally family friendly - there were other people in with babies/kids. Everything was easily as good, and better, than any similar place I've been to in Glasgow city centre, plus it's way better value. Thanks for a fab meal, will definitely be back!

Family lunch today and won’t be the last at this restaurant. Professional, attentive staff. Seated and served promptly . All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our food and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.

Visited again and once again slightly disappointed regarding the service. We were in a party of four and we only had one person that ordered a starter, so mains should have been well in progress, but when only three arrived we were disappointed that the forth meal was either missed or forgotten about, but when you go for a meal with family you except to be eating all at the same time not three nearly finished and then the forth just arriving. 👎 I must say the meals were good and I know it was busy, but what really is disappointing we were never offered anything off the final bill as a nice gesture. Would return but can you get your service up to scratch

We took my mother to Kastriots today to celebrate her 98th birthday and she thoroughly enjoyed her meal. She had the king prawns with salmon in a cream sauce for her main course and a helping of tiramisu for dessert - she asked for ‘something gooey’ - tucked into them both with gusto. The food was lovely, the staff were friendly and the prices were reasonable - I don’t think we could done any better in a City Centre establishment. We had visited Kastriots once before, prior to the pandemic, and were not disappointed on this occasion.

Eaten at Kastriots many times and never had a bad meal. Food is great, staff are excellent, would highly recommend. Whether it has been a family night out to a large party (my 40th) the service, food and drink have been great.

Just visited tonight for long overdue family catch up - second time for me - several return visits for one of our sons and wife and can totally see why. The staff cannot do enough for you. Impeccable service and excellent food and drinks all round. Our little granddaughter bumped herself and immediately someone was over with ice pack for her. Nothing was too much trouble and I had the tastiest seafood risotto ever. Everyone enjoyed the food immensely and the cocktails were first class ( so I am told 😆) sadly I was driving but can’t wait for next visit when hopefully can be driven 😁. Well done for creating a happy friendly place with great ambience and vibes .

Went here for first time with my son l and daughter in law for Mother’s Day treat. The staff could not have been more accommodating and welcoming and the food was amazing. So full of flavour. Been here before went for my birthday meal. Hubby had a cocktail, wine, calamari and lamb stifado with spaghetti. The calamari were not crisp or crunchy very soggy and the main was a weird combination which he couldn't get his head around a lamb stew with garlic bread and spaghetti. I had the vegetarian vegetable skewers. These were lovely served with a nice salad but also a very stodgy risotto. Hubby then had a Irish coffee and tiramisu which he said was lovely. Service as always was amazing.
