I recently dined at Efes and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and inviting, guiding us through the menu and offering great recommendations. Nothing was too much trouble. It is a lovely venue and the food was UNBELIEVABLE! If you are looking for some delicious Turkish food I would highly recommend dining at Efes.

By far the loudest rowdiest restaurant I’ve ever been to! The tables are super small and all tucked up together so it’s really hard to even hear or speak to the person next to you :( The starters were REALLY good (hummus and baba ganoush needed a pinch of salt and some lemon), pink lady was our favorite Main dishes were a disappointment, we had the vegetarian mousakka and the grilled salmon and they were tasteless :( Adana kebab was average. The staff were super sweet and accommodating especially our server Victoria!! They made the experience worthwhile. I would probably come back just for the mezze and maybe for lunch because the volume at dinner was unbearable.

The restaurant is made up of two floors. Unfortunately, it was crowded and noisy. The food was good but not excellent. The service was excellent, especially the employee, Victoria.

went here for our anniversary but wish we hadn't! The food was NOT great! I've been to way better places than this!! We ordered a mixed grill along with a couple of sides and it all tasted very bland. The sauces given with it were awful! The portions were also very small! Service was also poor. Kitchen was closed after we placed our order and we were unable to order more food although other people sitting beside us were yet still able to order desserts? Special treatment for others eh? This was our first and last visit!

Came here for a late lunch and it was fantastic. Everything we ordered was delicious and flavourful. Service was great and the wine was excellent. The only downside is that the table was too small for the number of dishes we ordered but…that’s on us. I’ll be back!

Went on Saturday night for a dinner with work colleagues and it was fantastic. The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly. Think the belly dancers on a Saturday night were my highlight and made a great talking point at work for the days to come. Will deffo be back

Very impressed with this place the food is exceptional, and staff friendly and polite. I’ll definitely be back. We ordered the cold meze and the hot meze boards to share between two of us, we were blown away with the taste.

Terrible service, would not recommend. I called ahead to check if the kitchen was still open, and the person on the phone confirmed it was but mentioned it wouldn't be for long. After asking where I was coming from (Sauchiehall Street), he reassured me that it was fine and they'd see me when I arrived. I left immediately, but when I got to Efes, I was told the kitchen had just closed. I explained that I was told we'd have a table, but he dismissed me, saying we were 3 minutes late. His attitude was almost laughable. There are plenty of other Turkish restaurants in Glasgow with much better service. Avoid this place!

Excellent service and food. We ordered pide and içli köfte. Pide was full of cheese and the ingredients were so rich. İçli köfte made me feel like i m in Turkey :) Portions and prices were decent 👌 Thanks for Kamil abi, the waiter works there for welcoming me and my friends. Strongly recommended.

That was delicious, we eat shish lamp and chicken comes with rice, salad and hot pita bread and butter. 😋 after along time without Turkish cuisine, this comes refreshing to us.

Their food is as good as the ones in Turkey. It is very delicious and delicious. We ordered half lamb and half chicken skewers. They serve it with salad, yoghurt, rice and well-baked pita bread with butter beforehand. Thank you.

We went to EFES to celebrate my fiancée birthday. We really enjoyed a platter for two and starters. The food and service were great! They have surprised my fiancé with piece of cake with candles in it, which was lovely. Thank you again!

My first time trying Turkish cuisine properly. Most of the Staff here were from Turkey and many Turkish locals come to eat here. The staff were very friendly, attentive and professional. The interior of the restaurant is very pleasant and fitting for the Turkish theme. The baba ghanoush and hummus to start was delicious and came with complimentary garlic bread. For main course we had the mixed Turkish grill for two. The meats were all cooked perfectly, very tender and amazing flavour. For dessert I tried the cheesecake of the day, which was honeycomb and a Turkish coffee which were perfect. They also have their own lager, Efe’s, which washed the meal down nicely. 100% will be coming back here, probably for the belly dancing which is on every Saturday night.

We usually have lunch/dinner here and food has always been tasteful. They never disappoint. This is the first time we try their Sunday breakfast served until 12:00. It sure won’t be the last. Great atmosphere, friendly service, accommodating staff and the best food.

The restaurant is nice. They have a six-star menu. It is actually sweet enough for one person and acceptable. The service in general is excellent. But you must find someone with bad service, but it does not affect the general public

Late night with my wife and cousins while visiting Glasgow. Appetizer was good, the freshly made bread was definitely a good appetizer but it was served with garlic margarine rather than garlic butter. Dinner was OK, we had a mix of chicken shish, lamb kebab and lamb chops. They only served us 2 salads for the whole table although the menu clearly states each plate is served with salad and rice. (We ordered 4 plates). The really frustrating part was that we asked them for 3 turkish teas and we were served English orange pekoe. At this point I was irritated and questioned the server why I was given orange pekoe tea and he acted surprised and started asking me where I had it before and then telling me that he is Turkish and it's from his homeland. My point wasn't to insult him, but I've been to turkish restaurants in the UK and Canada, not a single one of their turkish teas tasted like orange pekoe. My cousin and wife also agreed on the bitterness coming from orange pekoe. The server was kind enough to serve me another glass insisting it was turkish tea, this time it was darker in color and tasted even more strongly of orange pekoe. I let him know I disagree. I expected better.

Without doubt the best Turkish restaurant I have ever been to! The Turkish borek was perfect, the chicken shish was delightful & the complimentary balloon bread with the garlic butter was just exquisite! Quick service, friendly staff & the restaurant itself was beautiful. The toilets were very clean. I would give it ten stars if I could, will definitely be back!!

A very high quality restaurant. Magnificent meats and kebabs. We ordered mixed Turkish kebab for 2 people. The waiters Victoria and Serkan are wonderfully friendly. Prices are very reasonable. Between 15 and 25 pounds, you can fill your stomach with very high quality. A restaurant that is as good as Turkey with its meat cooking quality. For the first time in Britain, a restaurant did not add a service charge. Of course we did. But it is very polite of them not to make it compulsory. Congratulations

Traditional Turkish food and of course coffee. The food was delicious, ordered a portion for 4 people to enjoy a variety and we could not finish it! Service was amazing in all ways and look forward to going back again.

Cracking spontaneous post work meal at the suggestion of a colleague. I had the Chicken Shish Iskender which was superb - the chicken was perfectly cooked.

A Turkish restaurant, the food was delicious, and the restaurant was family-friendly. They offered you hospitality at the beginning. The garlic butter and bread were delicious. We tried the muftah, it was good. The chicken shish tawook was delicious, and a Qashqaswan pie with my hand. The chickpea lentil soup was normal once. The restaurant is worth a visit. It may require that you book during busy times because it asks if you have a reservation or not. But we came at a time when it was crowded

The portions are quite large and satisfying. The prices are reasonable... The taste is top 10... You wouldn't want to go to Glasgow and not eat here. However, I recommend that you make a reservation in advance, sit inside and eat accompanied by belly dancers and music that appear on some evenings. Especially in the evening, if you go without a reservation, you can sit outside as there is no room.

Very overpriced for what it is. The rice is not nice at all and the food caters to Western crowd rather than sticking to their roots and having authentic Turkish food. Service was good and the meats were nice however. Very loud in the restaurant.

Big portions and the food was nice, but the drinks were overpriced and the service too fast to make the meal enjoyable. There's a 1hr 45min limit on the table, which means food arrives very quickly and there's only time for a drink or 2 before you're asked to vacate. Just not my favourite way to eat a meal, especially in a big group!

What a great meal! I think the balloon bread comes complimentary at every table. We got the 2 person platter, this had lamb shish, chicken shish, lamb mince skewers, chicken wings, lamb chops, lamb ribs, chicken thighs. All on a bed of rice, so all that meat juice is not wasted. Tables are too near to each other. Otherwise good service. Baklava and kunefe were amazing.

Ok overall. Food tasted good what we had however even if you order something don't expect a full serving. For example the cold/hot mezze platter which costs about £20 does NOT come with any bread. They give you the basic bread for the table which everyone gets and is nowhere near enough for the mezze platter so you literally get given about 5 dips plus olives but that is all! Pretty terrible tbh as I would expect pitta as is standard in Turkiye. Update. The manager has just come out and told me that he feels it is enough what we have been served. So regardless of my suggestion to add pitta to the meze platter ( I didn't demand it I just said it was potentially something to add for future as is standard in Turkiye) he wasn't interested and basically stated I was wrong. Despite me having just come home from Turkiye. Really not a great experience. It was a constructive opinion but apparently not important.

The best Turkish restaurant ever in Glasgow

I Took my husband for dinner as part of his birthday weekend and we were not disappointed. The halloumi and sucuk was an absolute triumph and the plates were cleared. The kitchen forgot our mains but we weren't in any hurry so after receiving a free drink for the error we were presented with our food, Traditional lamb casserole and Lamb shish iskender. Both were hot and delicious. Finally, we shared the baklava which was beautiful and surprisingly light. We will be back to, hopefully add that extra star provided the kitchen send our food.

First time at the restaurant definitely will be back. Staff were brilliant and the food was amazing !! Thanks to Klaudia and Mohamed :) it was a real taste of turkiye

Over in Glasgow for the weekend to visit friends from Belfast they suggested we try Efes, brilliant choice, food was excellent, so tasty and delicious also the staff were very friendly and helpful, can't wait to go back we had the chops and ribs combo, and our friends had the mix grill to share and sides of Turkish bread and the Liverpool it was unreal, Can't wait to go back, Fantastic.

Came here as highly recommended by friends. My husband and I came for lunch. We had the 3 course menu. The food was absolutely delicious. Falafel for me, sucuck for hubby to start. Veg moussaka for me and chicken shish for hubby, lastly kadiyif for me and baclava for hubby. The food was very tasty and plentiful. All washed down by a couple of efes and cocktails. The staff were lovely, very attentive. We look forward to our next visit 😋

Good quality of food and services, We like Meat pie with cheese adna kebab and salad, only have 2two negative points - a lot of oil on the food such of shish and adna kabab. And the among of rice was almost 100 grams. Otherwise everything was delicious. Recommended to visit again and again.

Had an absolutely terrible experience here on Saturday. My friends came here to get food after the Pride march. When they arrived, they were seated outside, despite the inside being practically empty. Due to the way the canopy was set up, my friends who had their young baby with them had to sit their pram in the rain. I came to join them and ordered my food (I had the only vegan option on the menu and it was dry and bland, nowhere near worth the amount they are charging). They also served me a non vegan starter and seemed annoyed that I didn’t want it. Another party left and said they had been trying to pay their bill for ages so that we could have their table and get the baby out of the rain. We started to move our things over when an incredibly rude woman appeared from nowhere and started screaming at us, calling us disrespectful and telling us to have some consideration (they didn’t have any consideration for the fact a baby was sat out in the rain). I asked her to calm down and she stormed away and we moved back to our original table. By this time, the baby was crying and my friend had to try and calm her down. After about 10 mins, a waiter came out and asked if she wanted a seat. The party who did get the table we had tried to move to were horrified and did actually offer us their table but by this point we felt extremely uncomfortable. I wasn’t given any cutlery so I had to use my friend’s spoon to eat until I could get a hold of someone to get me cutlery. It made the whole atmosphere in the restaurant really uncomfortable and ruined an otherwise great day. My friend went elsewhere to feed the baby who was now very upset and we quickly settled up and left. This is no way to treat customers, if we had been asked nicely not to move tables that would have been fine but we were screamed at like we were children. The waiter who was serving us apologised for the (I assume) manager being rude but we didn’t see her again. I could tell he also felt really uncomfortable and he also lost out on a tip because of her. I would have appreciated something to be knocked off the bill or for the rude woman to come and apologise but we weren’t compensated in anyway. I also can’t shake that there may have been a homophobic element to this as anyone else wearing rainbow colours were also seated outside. Absolutely disgusting establishment and I would not recommend anyone to go here. My friends did enjoy their food but none of us will be back and would encourage anyone else not to go.

I have never had such disgusting treatment by anyone as my party did yesterday at Efes. Dispite having a baby in a pram myself my wife and our friend who had all been part of Glasgow Pride parade were not offered a table inside, rather one outside where the pram and part of my table were still getting wet from the rain. When a table of 4 also outside left we tried to move to this table to be in the dry and have somewhere to feed our now hungry baby. The owner/ manager an incredible rude homophobic woman came out and screamed at us for being inconsiderate. Shouting at us to move back because that wasn't our table. When one of our party raised that there was no need to speak to us like that, there was no apology and she just stormed off. My wife had to leave to feed our baby else where. Our waiter apologised for the woman and how she spoke to us but clearly it wasn't an issue for her as we received no discount as way of an apology and because I was totally mortified I paid the full bill. This restaurant clearly had an issue with other pride guests as dispite there being space inside another family who attended pride were also only offered a table outside despite the rain. Please do not support this restaurant if your are part of or an allie to the LGBT+ community.

Always so much food, cooked fresh to order and is amazing. The atmosphere is great and the owner and his staff are lovely.

It was like being in Istanbul. The friendly staff, the superb Turkish music and a belly dancer before we get to the food. A generous welcome to our table, quickly served drinks, Efes beer 🍺 and Red wine 🍷. Stuffed vine leaves for starters and meat platter for two. Rakki and Turkish Coffee to finish. Afiyet Ölsun! Bravo 👏.

We went to this place an hour and a half before closing and they refused us entry saying that the kitchen closes 2 hours and 15 mins before they close at midnight. Which restaurant closes the kitchen more than 2 hours before closing? Their business hours are very misleading.

Food was great, service staff were good. Management were poor to be honest, based on that we won’t be going back and pretty disappointed.

I absolutely enjoyed a lunch date here. The sharing platter was awesomeeeeee!!! We could not even finish it. The staff were amazing and the service was top notch. This is however not a romantic setting as it can get a bit noisy. I’m not sure if it was the time of day. I will definitely come back. I recommend the sharing platter for two and get ready to eat till your fill. Victoria and Klaudia attended to us and were the best. I will recommend the cheesecake of the day option for dessert. Hoping to return soon

We had a great time at this restaurant! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was very friendly and the staff was top notch. Ach so, before I forget: Special thanks to the turkish harry potter and thank you all for a pleasant time. If we ever return to Glasgow, we will definitely visit again.
