Turkiye Efes Restaurant in Glasgow City

2nd time been there and wasn't disappointed. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious and well presented. We didn't have a booking and we had a baby with us even though it was busy they still accommodated us. I will definitely be back.

Amazing food ..flavour...taste. it's like being in Turkey for real. Plenty to choose from food cooked to perfection. The staff are very friendly and they check on everything to your satisfaction. Well worth a visit .. if looking for great food and ambience go there

Very good, tasty food, but very expensive.

Excellent place for Turkish food. The lamb shish is brilliant, and the halloumi so tasty! We also enjoyed the seafood casserole, baba Ghanoush and traditional Turkish desserts. Extensive menu, delicious dishes, generous portions and great presentation. The restaurant is lovely and spacious, and the staff are nice and attentive. We've been here twice and both times had a wonderful experience.

Star lost as they tried to seat us in the empty area upstairs. If I wanted to to have dinner alone with my husband I would have stayed at home. Food was lovely big portions too much for us. Great atmosphere downstairs service was good. Toilets tidy and clean. Booking recommended as very busy and a queue was forming when we left.

We enjoyed a truly lovely dinner for my birthday. The food was delicious, the staff were warm and hospitable. Dalma served us and was really attentive. Kamikaze was lovely too, bringing us some Turkish tea and chatting to us about Turkey…an excellent ambassador. Thank you, we’ll be back

Live Belly dancers on a saturday night were amazing!

Visited with my daughter for the first time. I ordered Garlic mushrooms as a starter and chargrilled chicken skewers and side salad for main. The chicken was really good, cooked to perfection, but unfortunately the garlic mushrooms although tasted good were a bit cold inside. I didn't bother complaining as it was just the starter, but other than that we enjoyed the rest of our lunch and drinks.

The food was delicious, the tables were very close together, the price was a bit high (90 pounds for 3 people), and the service was excellent.

Service good, food bad. It was quite expensive as we paid £25 for 1 portion of lamp kebab, and with a drink up to £30. We also got chicken kebab, which wasn't so bad, but the lamp was tasteless. Also, we got a few mezes, including humus, which was horrible.

We unexpectedly went to this place for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by the portion size. The food was fresh and delicious.

Brilliant food and amazing service !

Just a bit disappointed as i was expecting the food to be a bit better perhaps it is because they only gave us the festive menu even though i asked for a la carte they said no. The festive menu has a very small choice so i do not recommend going whilst they give the festive menu. The lamb shank was soft, tender and nice but it was served cold especially inside the shank, it was not cooked in the sauce, of course it is cooked in advance and heated up but make sure you reheat meat fully. The small dish it comes in makes it difficult to eat with the rice seperate it should be served in one plate like they serve kebabs it would be much easier to eat. The starter was half yes only half an avocado with prawns obviously the prawns were frozen and defrosted which is fine however it was evident they had been defrosted in warm or hot water which "overcooked" them a bit, tell the kitchen to defrost prawns in cold water only. Whilst the baklava was nice enough im not sure how fresh it was as it had a slight after taste though the chopped nuts on top helped. Overall an okay meal however from looking at other reviews i was expecting the food to be really good or even something special which it just was not, so will not be hurrying back,

We ordered lentil soup, which arrived cold. We returned it and they heated it for us. We ordered delicious adana kebab, and a sweet eggplant moussaka. They gave us a salad for free because they were late with food. I recommend eating there. I asked for onions, but what they brought was not what was required.

Family run restaurant, wood panelled interior, busy. We sat outside with the dog, they brought water for him. The lamb arrived with rice and salad, succulent and perfectly flavoured. You'll pay more than you might elsewhere and you'll be happy.

Authentic Turkish food in the Heart of Glasgow . The place was buzzing with atmosphere and staff were friendly and attentive. We tried a mix kebab and a chicken skewer type kebab and they were both amazing and fresh. But what makes this place amazing is the accompanying sides that come with Turkish food , like the delicious Turkish salad / cabbage and the balloon bread with garlic butter was so fresh and amazing. Also kids friendly ( chicken nuggets & chips etc ) which was extremely important to us as a lot of authentic places usually do not accommodate. Really impressed with this place and we will definitely be back .

Very good meal. Would recommend the platter. The wrong order came out and they replaced it so quickly and were so nice about it. It felt homely and I had a great time.

Unbelivable food served by incredibly friendly welcoming staff. I cannot reccommend this place again, we were in literal tears over how delicious the kebabs we had were, don't let the prices scare you off- the quality genuinely justifies it, the iskender kebab, the yoghurt, everything was just beyond belief tasty, we will be back as often as we can.

I recently dined at Efes and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and inviting, guiding us through the menu and offering great recommendations. Nothing was too much trouble. It is a lovely venue and the food was UNBELIEVABLE! If you are looking for some delicious Turkish food I would highly recommend dining at Efes.

By far the loudest rowdiest restaurant I’ve ever been to! The tables are super small and all tucked up together so it’s really hard to even hear or speak to the person next to you :( The starters were REALLY good (hummus and baba ganoush needed a pinch of salt and some lemon), pink lady was our favorite Main dishes were a disappointment, we had the vegetarian mousakka and the grilled salmon and they were tasteless :( Adana kebab was average. The staff were super sweet and accommodating especially our server Victoria!! They made the experience worthwhile. I would probably come back just for the mezze and maybe for lunch because the volume at dinner was unbearable.

The restaurant is made up of two floors. Unfortunately, it was crowded and noisy. The food was good but not excellent. The service was excellent, especially the employee, Victoria.

went here for our anniversary but wish we hadn't! The food was NOT great! I've been to way better places than this!! We ordered a mixed grill along with a couple of sides and it all tasted very bland. The sauces given with it were awful! The portions were also very small! Service was also poor. Kitchen was closed after we placed our order and we were unable to order more food although other people sitting beside us were yet still able to order desserts? Special treatment for others eh? This was our first and last visit!

Came here for a late lunch and it was fantastic. Everything we ordered was delicious and flavourful. Service was great and the wine was excellent. The only downside is that the table was too small for the number of dishes we ordered but…that’s on us. I’ll be back!

Went on Saturday night for a dinner with work colleagues and it was fantastic. The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly. Think the belly dancers on a Saturday night were my highlight and made a great talking point at work for the days to come. Will deffo be back

Terrible service, would not recommend. I called ahead to check if the kitchen was still open, and the person on the phone confirmed it was but mentioned it wouldn't be for long. After asking where I was coming from (Sauchiehall Street), he reassured me that it was fine and they'd see me when I arrived. I left immediately, but when I got to Efes, I was told the kitchen had just closed. I explained that I was told we'd have a table, but he dismissed me, saying we were 3 minutes late. His attitude was almost laughable. There are plenty of other Turkish restaurants in Glasgow with much better service. Avoid this place!

Very impressed with this place the food is exceptional, and staff friendly and polite. I’ll definitely be back. We ordered the cold meze and the hot meze boards to share between two of us, we were blown away with the taste.

Excellent service and food. We ordered pide and içli köfte. Pide was full of cheese and the ingredients were so rich. İçli köfte made me feel like i m in Turkey :) Portions and prices were decent 👌 Thanks for Kamil abi, the waiter works there for welcoming me and my friends. Strongly recommended.

That was delicious, we eat shish lamp and chicken comes with rice, salad and hot pita bread and butter. 😋 after along time without Turkish cuisine, this comes refreshing to us.

Their food is as good as the ones in Turkey. It is very delicious and delicious. We ordered half lamb and half chicken skewers. They serve it with salad, yoghurt, rice and well-baked pita bread with butter beforehand. Thank you.

My first time trying Turkish cuisine properly. Most of the Staff here were from Turkey and many Turkish locals come to eat here. The staff were very friendly, attentive and professional. The interior of the restaurant is very pleasant and fitting for the Turkish theme. The baba ghanoush and hummus to start was delicious and came with complimentary garlic bread. For main course we had the mixed Turkish grill for two. The meats were all cooked perfectly, very tender and amazing flavour. For dessert I tried the cheesecake of the day, which was honeycomb and a Turkish coffee which were perfect. They also have their own lager, Efe’s, which washed the meal down nicely. 100% will be coming back here, probably for the belly dancing which is on every Saturday night.

We usually have lunch/dinner here and food has always been tasteful. They never disappoint. This is the first time we try their Sunday breakfast served until 12:00. It sure won’t be the last. Great atmosphere, friendly service, accommodating staff and the best food.

The restaurant is nice. They have a six-star menu. It is actually sweet enough for one person and acceptable. The service in general is excellent. But you must find someone with bad service, but it does not affect the general public
