Food was delicious and servers were friendly and prompt.

One of our favourite restaurants. Always tasty and good service. Yum. Love it. Do a great lunch menu. Book ahead it’s popular.

I saw this when I was searching on maps for lunch and couldn't get a table. By pure fortune I walked past it by accident and asked if they had a table for 2. The kitchen was about to close but they found us a spot. It's lovely inside, quite petite but enough room between tables. The staff were great and very attentive all the way through. We ordered of the lunch menu which was very reasonable at £14 for 2 courses, shares some spring rolls and chicken satay. They were both great and came with a selection of dipping sauces We both opted for Pad Thai as a main, I was tempted by the jungle curry but wanted noodles. Really good pad Thai and I've been to Thailand many times. Had a couple of beers, all in under £40. Can't fault it, thanks for finding us a table . The place forces you to pay the service charge for a very mediocre service , when it's specifically said in the menu , that service charge is OPTIONAL. It's a worrying trend that came from America , where the restaurant adds 10% to your bill therefore forcing you to leave the tip, whether you liked the service or not. This is completely wrong , as any gratitude payments should be left at the discretion of the guest , not forced upon them . The food was good , I can't fault it , however due to the reasons above it's safe to say I won't be coming back .

Great, cozy atmosphere. Amazing lunch deal. Tom Yam soup was delicious. The Korean beef was a disappointment as it was supposed to be spicy, but turned out to be completely bland. Good service.

The food was absolutely perfect; so is the service. Very nice place for dinner. However, I recommend making a reservation.

Rude, inconsiderate and untrustworthy. They play loud music after closing until late at night. I previously deleted this review one night after they made a deal to stop the music at midnight. However they immediately broke the deal and kept the music going for another one and a half hours. If this is how they treat neighbours after their restaurant is closed then perhaps they don't deserve your business.

Highly recommended- this is a cracking restaurant in the middle of Stockbridge. The food was beautiful and the service was top notch. Not a large place so book or you may be disappointed

We came with another couple for a midweek dinner. We decided to go for the set menu which was a good idea. Plenty of food and nice to try so many different options. The starter selection was particularly good. Only slight issue was the noise level in the restaurant. It was full and the 4 of us struggled to hear each other over the loud voices at other tables.

There was a hair in the dish, but they just picked the hair out and reheated the dish instead of serving a new one. Furthermore, they didn’t apologize or offered a discount. In addition, they served the dessert before the main course.

Second time I’ve ordered Pad Ka Prow and received Pad Khing. Even double checked my receipt to be sure it was ordered correctly which it was. Can see from other reviews that another customer had the same issue, they are very different. Clearly some confusion in the kitchen over their own dishes. Pad Thai had more of a tomato taste than tamarind.

Excellent service and a diverse range of dishes

Disappointing. Waiter was really intrusive and disturbed our conversations frequently. The green curry was very poor with very little flavour - ironic, given the waiter checked we were OK with hot food. We agreed that it was a mediocre meal at best.

First night we ate in Edinburugh and it didn't fail to deliver. The food was piping hot and very tasty. We had prawn and satay chicken starters and then followed by mains. A lovely penny curry was so much flavour. The pad Thai was slightly too spicy for me, but my husband loved it as it had a little kick to it. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Delicious food and attentive staff. The lunch deal includes starters and main for a very affordable price. We had prawn tempura, chicken Pad Thai and Pad Ka Prow minced chicken. All dishes were perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Will definitely recommend!

Best Thai we’ve had outside Thailand (and we’ve had a lot)! Every dish was delicious and the Thai iced tea was amazing. We were lucky and managed to get a walk in table early evening. Can’t wait to go again when next in Edinburgh!

My go-to for Thai. Excellent service and the pineapple curry is something I could eat over and over and over...Make sure to book ahead of time as the place is always rammed.

I found Nox on the internet we needed somewhere to eat prior to attending Edinburgh Tattoo this place is just round the corner from the castle entrance The food was excellent good choice and arrived promptly and piping hot I have to say we both enjoyed the food yes every mouthful and the mixed starter for 2 was excellent but word of advice booking is a must the restaurant is only small and seats are at a premium when next In Edinburgh we will be back thank you all to the staff at Nox for an excellent start to a superb evening in Edinburgh

The food here was really good but I asked for my steak to be cooked medium rare and it arrived blue. When I said that it was undercooked to the server she took it back and it came out well done.

Chaophraya was our favourite Thai restaurant in Edinburgh, but after a very disappointing visit there last year we decided to give Nok’s Kitchen a go. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent and so was the service. It doesn’t have the ambiance of Chaophraya but the food is superior. Unfortunately they don’t do any cocktails and the wine list needs improvement.

First of all, they don't serve Thai food. Second one, the food served is really bad, low quality products awfully cooked. My lunch was a mixture of a terrible minced duck meat, lots of sugar and an absolute lack of flavour. About the service, they has a lot to improve. The worse thing is that I went there because the enormous amount of good reviews.

Two people in our group thought the food was bland and not authentic having been in Thailand. Server was also quite rude reminding us on a number occasions that they were shutting at 3.00pm. Won’t be returning

We dined here last night for my husbands birthday and we will definitely be back! The service as soon as we walked in the door was spot on, and the food was nothing short of amazing. Every course was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. Defo try the nutty curry!!!

Panang curry and the pad Kraprao was the best ever, and they have Singha on draft. Super dialed in and highly recommend. Staff very friendly, attentive, and courteous.

I’ve been to Thailand six times and have seen a good deal of the country, and I would say that Nok’s is as authentic as I’ve had anywhere outside of Thailand. I tried to reserve on Saturday and again on Sunday but as they were booked settled on Monday lunch. Make sure to reserve as the place is small.

The lady at the counter was quite unfriendly, not offering a single smile or any kind of warm welcome. The location was full, so we decided on takeaway. We all ordered Pad Krapao. As a lover of Thai food, regularly indulging in authentic dishes, I was in for a shock. The meal was unauthentic, improperly seasoned, the beef wasn't minced, there were unusual vegetables inside, it wasn't spicy at all, and the fried egg was missing. Moreover, they didn't use holy basil. The food was bland and absolutely terrible. Honestly, I'm unsure how this place has garnered so many positive reviews. Perhaps these individuals have never experienced authentic Thai food before.
