Absolutely love the food here. We usually get a take away, and it’s well worth the hour round trip it takes us. We decided to sit in for Valentine’s Day and it didn’t disappoint. With the friendly staff to exceptional food, we will continue to come back here time after time.

Food and service excellent. Also excellent value. The best Peshawari Naan in town.

Average Everest restaurant This is a place to have Nepali and Indian food. The food, service and ambience, all were very average. The restaurant played Indian Bhajans (religious songs) and serving non veg and alcohol which didn't match the overall vibe of any of these two cultures. I would not go there again to be frank.

I had been here for Dinner and the food was very tasty and the hospitality was good (you know they are Asians and the hospitality must be great), I had Chicken Biriyani and lamb chops (must try), the chop was roasted in Tandoori it was really amazing.

Wow! The curries were the best! Such a delicious meal and fantastic service.

Very nice place for a casual Indian/nepalese dinner and good beverage. Welcomed by two nice waiters and served very quickly. “Local” beer came on demand (Cobra beer), and was followed up continuously. Starter with papadoms and four good accessories (specially the very strong and good onion based), and Nepalese garlic lamb. They waited professionally for me to finish the starter as I added on some, and served with good timing. Very affordable prices, and a welcoming staff in addition to a full and delightful meal made this a positive experience. Only downside was a little sterile inside and crappy background music (maybe should have found some genuine music ?)..

First time trying The Everest and we will definitely order again! Food was really fresh and tasty - particularly enjoyed the Rogan Josh curry and the garlic naan.

I think the food was good.. I was surprised seeing this service charge being so high. For only one dish and a coke to pay 26£ I found a little unreasonable. Maybe im not used to those prices but surely I didnt feel it was worth it. 3 different waiters came and asked if my food tasted well. I guess thats what the service charge was for

Best chicken biryani and garlic naan in town

Ckn tikka biryani, tandoori roti were quite ok. Trisuli ko Macha utterly impressed. Marinated sea bass was fatty and flavourful, and the punchy tomato sauce worked perfectly. This was excellent Chana masala was quite good too, good depth. Momos were dense but quite plain. Cheese naan was terrible, very soggy. The overall standard is possibly the best Indian I've had in Scotland so far. Will be back to check out more of their curries to give a better judgement

Heel lekker en super vriendelijke bediening. Aan alles wordt gedacht, citroentje bij je drinken, servet opgevouwen in een figuur. Maar vooral er naartoe voor het eten, heerlijk!

Food was really nice but took over 2 hours to arrive after ordering. Restaurant said it was a just eat driver issue however we were kept in limbo for way too long with no offer to help any other way.

We were treated like they knew us our entire lives. The food was authentic and some of the best Indian food we’ve eaten. Thought the prices were good also. Please don’t hesitate to try this restaurant.

Amazing Vegetarian Momos, mild spicy chutney, well steamed.

We love The Everest, not only for the excellent food and large portions but for the fantastic hospitality of the staff. Nothing is too much trouble. As for the food we can't fault it. The portions are generous and every dish can be tailored to your own spiciness. A must for a wife with a more gentle pallet but mine for a little hotter than most. We try to visit at least once a month and have always been impressed. Many thanks guys.

Excellent food in taste… for vegetarian food…. Friendly staff…. Ordered Samosa as appetizer ( had to request mint chutney…. Would be good if it came with the order along with sweet and garlic chutney… but easily accommodating- a little bigger samosa would be good), paneer tikka hot spicy and tasty and paneer dish, two garlic naan (cut four ways would be better than two cuts) and Biryani were great…. My wife and son said best Indian style Punjabi food in Scotland.. would be glad to recommend for a hungry mouth at any time…. All together cost about 51.00 pounds for three persons with some to take home…

BEST CURRY EVER! We came here after traveling for the whole day, we was starving and tired. The waiter was so nice that he managed to make us feel energetic again. We ordered a bunch of dishes and all of them was incredible. Service 10/10, nicest people around… I highly recommend everyone to try it! You will fall in love with this type of food.

We were looking for the best Nepali / Indian food we could find in Edinburgh and were not disappointed. Great food and service. The menu options were many and the dishes we ordered among the best we've ever had anywhere. The staff were very attentive and friendly also. Good cold beer too. Go try this place if you like this kind of cuisine.

This "Trisuli ko Macha" has to be one of the most exquisite dishes. The fish being scrumptious and the appetizing curry adds up the flavor of the dish to the heavens. The curry and fish, with the addition of rice was a combination I'll never forget.

THE BEST CURRY WE HAVE EVER HAD! DELICIOUS!!! My husband and I just ate here for a late lunch, we ate everything off of our plates. We had butter chicken, aloo gobi, and garlic naan, all cooked to perfection and bursting with flavors. We are so thrilled my client from the US who is originally from Scotland recommended this place to us. It is by far the best curry we have ever had in our lives, and that is saying a lot because we’ve been to numerous Indian curry restaurants around the world, as world travelers. The owner is also very attentive, personable, kind, and friendly. He is from Nepal and you can tell he is proud of his country, as you can see a picture of the huge painting on his restaurant wall! We will be visiting nepal next year! His employees were also very friendly and I got to meet the chef! Thank you thank you thank you Everest! We will be back at least one more time before we leave in 5 more days!

It was raining and it was late at night when we shared spicy chicken and butter chicken with saffron rice and garlic nan bread. Traditional yes - but super tasty. With attentive service, the place can only be recommended if you are looking for Indian/Nepalese food.

In my opinion, papadams are too plain and not enough spice, vegetarian samosas lacks flavor and too large for an appetizer, both the lamb and chicken are below average quality meat, and both curries lack flavor.

The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious.

We were craving something different after all the hearty pub food, and this was the perfect place! All of our food - chicken tikka masala, a lamb dish and the chicken tikka - were delicious, and they were able to adjust the spice level to suit our wishes (we love spicy food!). To top it all off, although it was not expensive the restaurant was having a sale for 20% off dining in, so we that was a bit of an extra positive at the end.

Did was missing, driver was rude and unhelpful, rang the restaurant and offered no help except to get a refund. First and last time I'm waste money here.

Had the best Paneer Sag I've ever tasted. Husband isn't a big fan of Indian food but said the Chicken Biryani was delicious. Coconut rice was outstanding. Very pleasant and polite staff. Reasonably priced. Several Indian restaurants are located close by; we're so glad we chose this one!

A great menu with many options. I had 21 spice chicken and lots of Naan. Flavor and food quality was excellent. Service was also very good. Would highly recommend.

Very average. Nothing more to add really. It's a bit different which I quite enjoyed but I wouldn't return. One of our group doesn't like spicy food and absolutely everything was hot!

We absolutely loved the Nepalese food here! Their curry and momos were simply delicious. Plus, the place was clean, and the service couldn't have been more attentive. Definitely worth a try!

A little gem of a restaurant featuring delicious Indian appetizers and dishes. Try the Korma served with a mint sauce, so good. Friendly staff and good service.

Expected more based upon the online reviews tbh. For a Friday night at 7pm the restaurant was pretty much empty, then you notice the decor and undecorated walls...manky plug sockets etc... The served what I would call ..an average meal, not bad, just your average curry.

Delicious lambchops and mixed grill probably the best in town. A must visit spot to satisfy your taste buds as well as pocket friendly. Highly recommended!!

I ordered take-out, chicken tiki masala and garlic naan, with some rice. Figured I should start basic. Perhaps due to a US (albeit Bay Area) bias, but the masala was tangy and had a weird (chunky-ish) consistency. Also not spicy or particularly flavorful. Naan was undercooked. Friendly enough staff. Was expecting more given the reviews.

Booked via FORK. As they advertised 50% discount. However, it is actually 30% as they add compulsory 20% service charge! Also, lamb, fish and tandoori dishes are £4 extra and king prawn dishes are £6 extra. These things are nowhere mentioned on Fork. So, I didn't appreciate their lack of transparency. Food was delicious and good portions. 👍

The place was really good. Prakash dai was really very generous person, he served the food really well. In conclusion, it’s awesome. Price was reasonable as well, every people must have to visit the restaurant.
