ordered a takeaway via ubereats. delivered quickly despite being miles away. dishes still hot on arrival and all of them were brilliant. one of the best curries we've had in ages.

A wee gem in Edinburgh. I don't understand why this restaurant is not always fully booked because it's amazing. Delicious food, outstanding service and a fair price. I have been coming regularly for nearly 1 year and never disappoints. I highly recommend this place!

Booked via FORK. As they advertised 50% discount. However, it is actually 30% as they add compulsory 20% service charge! Also, lamb, fish and tandoori dishes are £4 extra and king prawn dishes are £6 extra. These things are nowhere mentioned on Fork. So, I didn't appreciate their lack of transparency. Food was delicious and good portions. 👍

I ordered take-out, chicken tiki masala and garlic naan, with some rice. Figured I should start basic. Perhaps due to a US (albeit Bay Area) bias, but the masala was tangy and had a weird (chunky-ish) consistency. Also not spicy or particularly flavorful. Naan was undercooked. Friendly enough staff. Was expecting more given the reviews.

The place was really good. Prakash dai was really very generous person, he served the food really well. In conclusion, it’s awesome. Price was reasonable as well, every people must have to visit the restaurant.

I have tried Peshwari Naan in four different Indian restaurants in Edinburgh, but this is the only one that contains so much salt and it’s so salty…I would minus 1 star for this but I forgive because their curry dishes are so great. Also, very good delivery packaging! Clean and clear and safe. Prawn has only 7 small shrimps which I guess may not be king prawns (much smaller than Mother India’s Cafe in Edinburgh); the curry sauce itself is delicious, but not worth it for the price. Similar thing goes to their lamb curry: this is the smallest lamb chunks that I have ever seen in an Indian dish amongst 5 Indian restaurants that I have ordered food from in Edinburgh. Again, taste is good but totally not worth the price. I won’t order again.

Uber eats meal cancelled after waiting an hr apparently order completed, can’t get through on the phone at all!!!! Number just hangs up.

In Edinburgh for a day-trip, we spotted Everest on Tripadvisor, so decided to find it before taking the train home. Its early opening suited us to enjoy fresh poppadoms and pickles, mo-mos then very tasty nepalese curries. Surprisingly, the Gorkhali fish curry which was recommended to us alongside a spicier Himalayan lamb curry was very good indeed with good pieces of fish and plenty of meat. A good choice for a chilly night, although the room could have been a little warmer.

Favourite takeaway place! The paneer butter masala is the best!

First time in town. First time Indian food as well. The staff is very kind and explains all the dishes if you have doubts. The price is fair. Worth the try and hope to come back.

Ordered online, 70 quid order, piece of garlic and cheese naan was missing, which is not exactly a new experience from ordering online. I phoned up and the man hung up on me three times! Took me being stern and asking him to stop hanging up on me for him to take me seriously, asked him to have his driver deliver it as I paid for it. Was told “we don’t have drivers and one Uber eats guy”. His advice? I just ordered again or claim for refund. Not my problem, attitude was absolutely rotten. Food mediocre at best anyway, will not be ordering again or recommending it for that matter due to the attitude from the guy on the phone.

Wonderful service and absolutely amazing food! Nice relaxing atmosphere with nice music in the background. The vegetable momo starter (pictured) were packed with a lot of spice and flavour, tasted authentic and was a good amount of food. The chicken and lamb mains were very tender and juicy. This was the first time that I tried Keema naan and it was lovely, I can't wait to go back!

Booked online after much research, only to then get a phone call saying they were fully booked! Don't allow a booking if you're fully booked! Very annoying. Won't try again, on the naughty list.

Cannot rate this place enough! My partner and I went here last month and ordered quite a fair bit. Everything was so good and tasty. The service was brilliant too. We will 100% visit this restaurant again next time we are in Edinburgh.

I am a regular customer and every day I enjoy more of the delicious dishes at The Everest, there is a variety of new things to try and there are also chicken nuggets with fries in case you have children who don't like to try new things, a 10/10

Phenomenal place! It was quiet when we arrived and service was predictably speedy. I ordered Rogan Josh (curry) and spouse got the Himalayan Chili Garlic. We shared a serving of rice (quite large) and we could have shared the naan, as there was plenty, but we were extra hungry so each got our own baskets 😁 Loved it so much, came back a few days later!

A great meal with great flavours. Only one guy on service but he was cheerful and helpful. Acknowledged we were waiting for our food as he dealt with another deliveroo order and sorted it quickly. Otherwise I would have been saying it would be better to have the food delivered than eat in. I do prefer it when there is a separate collections area. But all in all a good meal.

Ich wurde am frühen Abend in das Hinterzimmer in das letzte Eck gesetzt, obwohl im wesentlich ansprechenderen Vorderraum fast alle Tisch frei waren. Angeblich war dort alles reserviert. Als ich ging war immer noch alles frei. Ein älteres Paar, die vor mir ebenfalls spontan kamen, bekamen dort den besten Platz am Fenster. Das Essen war ok, durchschnittlich. Natürlich keine Empfehlung, es gibt zwei weitere indische Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Exceptionally good! One of the best curries, maybe even the best I've ever had in the UK. Portions were very generous and everything was utterly delicious! We had 21 Spice Chicken, Ghurkali Fish Curry, and Lamb Himalayan Chilli Garlic - all were FANTASTIC and delicious, and had a lot of meat/fish in each (unlike too many places where it's mostly just sauce); the lamb and chicken were both tender and delicious. The Chana Massala was exceptional too (VERY moorish) and a very big portion for a side dish. The paneer sag was also delicious! All in all fantastic, I'd 100% come here again next time I'm in Edinburgh. Service was also exceptional, extremely helpful and they were clued up, communicative and reliable when it came to my friend's peanut allergy. Thank you very much for a curry that exceeded expectations in all ways! A+++++

Fantastic, flavoursome, fresh meals. Often curries are heavy with ghee but these were wonderfully light and the flavours really shone through. We had the garlic chilli chicken, the masu lamb and the 21 spice chicken, all delightful. Definitely coming here again.

Exquisite food, unexpected detail in the dishes. The chicken biryani came with 3 parts - chicken & rice plus salad plus sauce. Raita had fresh ginger - best raita i have ever had. Half split pea & red lentil dahl delicious. Very generous portions. Gracious & attentive service. An excellent place.

Visited Saturday night with a table booked. Upon arrival we waited at the door for a few minutes waiting to be seated. Eventually, after been seen by a waiter and ignored, we approached the bar and informed them we had a booking. They seemed surprised and no table was ready; after one was cleaned we took our seat. I immediately asked for water but none was brought. This wasn’t a great start but was willing to look past it. Our order was taken about 10 minutes after being seated. It was slightly concerning that 10 minutes later a different waiter approached us and asked what we wanted a second time. It took 25 minutes for poppadoms to arrive, and over an hour after ordering the main finally arrived. During our wait some tables next to us which paid their bill and left were then left uncleaned for over half an hour, with one waiter walking past multiple times and not even collecting plates/glasses. During our hungry wait it dampened the atmosphere somewhat being surrounded by unclean tables. When finally the main arrived the food was good but took far too long to arrive, especially considering that it seemed the restaurant was at 60% capacity, with 3 waiters available for about 10 tables i.e. more than enough. To sum up the food was decent but the service left a lot to be desired. Would not return.

The food was delicious. Two stars off, as we had to wait for the food for an eternity (60 min +) and the location is not that cosy (my humble opinion).

We arrived quite late around 22:30ish and they were still kind enough to take our order for takeaway. We were very tired from our journey to ben nevis and if it wasnt for them, we would be starving to death. We specifically wanted nepali food that day and other nepali restaurants turned us away. As a nepali, the food was well worth the price and no complaints at all. We really wanted to come back before we left for London for one last meal but cudnt find the time. Thank you again for your grt service and hope to come back when we visit Edinburgh again. Brother, dhanyabaad hai!
