When we are visiting the Gyle we stop and grab a bite to eat at Baguette Express. Today and Wednesday this week we were served by Allan and Nicole who are a credit to Baguette Express. Served with a smile and a chat. If you want great service and amazing food we would recommend Baguette Express. 😋
For those travelers looking for an authentic Scottish Pub, visit The Guildford Arms! The bar is lively with many excellent ales, lagers, and stouts. The food is excellent as well. I had the fish and chips and it did not disappoint. It is a very lively and enthusiastic crowd. would recommend this pub to my friends and family.
The smashed burgers we ordered were grilled to the point where they were almost burnt. We asked for replacement as they were hardly edible. The waitress replaced our burgers & apologised. There looked to be not enough staff working there as we needed to wait for more than 30 mins for our food to arrive and we needed to chase the waiters all the time, even when asking for the bill.
Came here last Monday night to enjoy some great music and had to come back again before we left on Tuesday morning. We had a great time with Andrew and the other lad who made us feel so welcomed! Definitely worth a visit! ❤️❤️❤️

Stopped in for a quick bite and a few beers, the atmosphere was electric and the staff were very helpful, will be back next time I’m in the area for sure.
Standard Wetherspoons located right next to Waverley railway station, Edinburgh's main station, so can get very busy.
The decor is a nod to the train travel with booths themed, loosely as rail carriages with baggage props above.
There is a bank of three hot drinks machines so you shouldn't be waiting too long for your unlimited refills.
There is a small outside sitting area.
Staff are busy and efficient.
There are ample toilets down a few flights of stairs. The station toilets are marginally better and are accessible.
Refused to show Eng vs Italy W6N game as they didn't have a 'license' for BBC, but proceeded to show the football later that afternoon...streamed from the BBC. Nothing else was being shown on screens at the time. Terrible from an 'official 6N fanzone'.
UPDATE:
As much as I appreciate you replying, I've added evidence of the W6N game being shown on BBC 2 before the male Scotland game.
As an 'official fan-zone of the 6 nations, ' I think you need to do much better.
Came in for breakfast at the weekend. Do not get the Avocado Toast- it’s a single thin bit of toast and a minimal layer of avocado and one poached egg.
Sweetcorn fitters much better.
