food was freezing cold the driver seemed to take a tour of Edinburgh before delivering. cheeseburger wasn't cooked properly went straight in the bin.i won't be ordering again

Been a very Bad experience. The food portion is not great. Customer Service is unfriendly at best and They didn't even bother to give us our orders properly. I'd always try out all kinds of places and give them second chances for one bad experience, This place made me not want to come back again.

Regular chips too salty, drink wasn't delivered and missing ketchup too

Order never got delivered and the courier never called or texted letting me know they were nearby.

Cashier (Monaj) was extremely rude, yelled everything he said even though it was quiet and not a single smile. Food was good though.

Chips had so much salt in them we couldn’t eat them. Burgers were fine but not warm enough.

The place was good the music was nice but it doesn't cover the fact that the service was bad and not only they dropped my burger on the floor and scooped it up like no one saw them but the second time I was there and I got my burger from the same rude woman I found trace of spit in my burger I'm never coming back there again the place is racist against black customers

Firstly the Manager was quite stern to the point he was quite rude. Maybe it’s his personality but compared to his other coworkers were rather lovely so I just couldn’t understand why he was being so abrupt with everything??? It seems like other reviews are saying similar. Burgers were kind of cold too. Honestly I only finished it because I was hungry. What was worse was the Manager’s cold attitude. I ordered a burger with grilled onions. It had no grilled onions so I asked for some and he gave it in a dish which is totally fine. Although in other Five guys restaurants (Fort Kinnaird for example) I would’ve gotten a replacement burger. I was just hungry and couldn’t be bothered with them making a new one. No complaint there. Until I ordered another burger for my father to takeaway, the manager asked me “What do you want?” In a really serious tone. I said I just wanted to order … “order what?” … I then answered I wanted to order a burger…? Then he just waved me off as if I was a bother. Was it because I complained that there wasn’t any onions in the burger I ordered? It wasn’t like it was a rush or anything, it was a Sunday evening in the new year. If it wasn’t for the other coworkers who seemed more friendly and seemed like they enjoyed their job I would’ve given this place 1 star.

Waited over an hour, food arrived cold. Wouldn’t be bothered if it wasn’t so expensive. Not a great experience.

Was shopping in the mall with my dog. Allowed into every shop and cafe. Come here, the cashier with most disgusted face and the squint tells me we are not allowed in. First - if you are communicating worth a customer do something with your face to look adequate. This person is not fit to work with customers. Second - we live in the world where dogs are part of family and allowed everywhere, into cafes and restaurants. It is default now. If you are from another world or stuck in the past - put a sign up that you don’t allow dogs. Edit: according to st James Square official website Five Guys are pet friendly.

I’ve always been a big fan of Five Guys, buying milkshakes weekly, but this visit was very disappointing. After waiting 10 minutes for a milkshake due to machine refilling, I was served one that wasn’t properly made—too melty and not the usual quality. When I tried to explain this to the staff, their reaction was shockingly aggressive. They repeatedly asked, "What do you want?" instead of listening to my concerns. If they had paused for a moment to understand, it could have been resolved easily. Unfortunately, I ended up drinking a subpar milkshake that didn’t reflect Five Guys' usual standards. Very disappointing.

My order has not arrived after over 2 hours of ordering! I have not been assigned a driver, my order just keeps getting delayed. The shop has informed me they have my order waiting for me but nobody has come to pick it up! I am extremely unhappy.

Didnt receive fries that i ordered

As someone who has eaten at many five guys around the world, I did not like this place very much. The reason is; They delivered the wrong order and overcooked meatballs. Fries were very good as always. The hot dog was good too. It's expensive for this quality though.

Just what I needed. Juicy burger, cajun fries and a sweet shake. Thank you for making delicious food! ^^

burger was cold with all the cheese stick to the foul the burger was in .was my first time trying one of the five guy burgers and definitely will NOT.get anything from here again.

Always good to eat at a five guys. I just have to point out that around 1pm it was very difficult to find a table to sit at.

As always, the best fast food burger on the market! The portions are very generous and the burger and fries are top tier. The milkshake was also great! However, the ambience is nevertheless of a fast food even though the prices are not.

Driver didn’t even get out of the car to give me my food. He made me get into the back of his car and open up the bag to grab my food.

Honestly, this is one of the least enjoyable burgers I’ve ever had. The meat had a very strong flavor that was quite overwhelming, and both my mom and I couldn’t finish it. The mushrooms in the middle were pretty tasty, but overall, the burger was very mediocre, especially considering the price, which is quite high. Although the portion sizes are large, the quality doesn’t match up. On top of that, the drinks were really bad, almost like drinking tap water. Definitely not worth it.

Angela is one of the workers, the best. Knowing that almost all of us spoke only Spanish (there are 10 of us), he offered without hesitation to assist us and help us, and he was also super friendly. These details are appreciated, a very good professional.

Service is too slow. I appreciate the response. However for a busy time there shouldn’t be a process to avoid too much wait? I understand the cooking process, but the time I was there 11:40am (lunch time) there was no beef patties been cooked. Only a couple of minutes after order I think they got them started. Anyways, I love the burger, the lass at the till was lovely, however I’ve been to other 5guys that have a faster service.

Absolutely extortionate for what you get, Hot dog £9 and it was tiny, burger was tasteless needed seasoning ( that bad my partner said my homemade ones are better) what’s with the cup and then a bag with chips in it? They were burnt all in all the hype and it wasn’t worth it at all.

Coke machine not working (no CO2 so drinks were flat). The customer in store service as a result in store was shocking. Basically told that’s the way it was. Asked to try a different machine but it was also out of CO2. No offer to simply refund the Coke price out of an order of over £30. So I reported to UK Head Office and completely fobbed off by then also. Generally this store was poor, food was just OK, but I think this is a corporate stance. Will definitely avoid from now on.

Dry meat, cold bread and cold non-melted cheese. Quite an expensive disappointment.

We came in for something quick to eat and were completely rushed by a guy with a load of tattoos wearing a black shirt, there was no one behind us and was very snappy and impatient. The food was fine but expensive however he was rude and absolutely rushed us with our order.

no peanuts here, but otherwise all good, tasted just like at home.

I am totally outraged. One of your employees stole from me. He was a Pakistani or an Indian. He was tall with long black hair and a black beard. He already looked mean and angry. He was very bitter. He was not patient and did not take the time to serve me properly. (I should point out that I am a student on a school trip and I don't speak English very well and he knew that). At first I had a small bacon cheeseburger with small fries then I realized I could have a small cheeseburger without bacon so I went and asked to change my order. Have a small cheeseburger instead of a small bacon cheeseburger. And the guy made me believe that he would reimburse me for the little bacon cheeseburger to make me pay for the little cheeseburger (that's what I asked for) but in fact he made me pay AND the little bacon cheeseburger bacon AND the small cheeseburger. Conclusion: I paid for two small burgers and a small fries for a total of around 21.36 pounds when I only received a small burger and a small fries and they didn't give me my money back (for now I hope they will) I am totally outraged. Just when you thought you couldn’t love Five Guys any more… we turned up tired and hungry with 2 children and heaps of luggage, and the staff couldn’t have been kinder. Luke even brought a copy of the menu over to us as we were sorting out the kids. Great customer experience 😊

Best Five Guys of my life, perfection

I ordered a little cheeseburger/chips/drink for my grandson (3) and it was my first experience of Five Guys and I can honestly say (after managing to persuade the 3 yr old) it was the best burger and fries I’ve EVER tasted. Well run establishment, pleasant staff and clean environment. Will definitely be going back. He enjoyed it so much I only got a small taster.

Solid food, busy establishment, not particularly great atmosphere if you're dining in as the "process" for Five Guys is to bellow the order number as loudly as possible, which slightly hampers sitting in to chat and eat with friends. Still some great food items on the menu (cajun fries rule).

Being an extremely popular restaurant, I was pleased with the service and quality of food.

Stopoed here for a classic burger. Perhaps 3pm was not the best time, but we thought we missed the "rush". Took just over 15 minutes to get our order, which felt longer as there was no place to sit. Very chaotic. Again, timing is everything, and our exoerience might have been better if we would have arrived earlier/later.

I thought it was expensive, burgers nothing special but chips really nice and plentiful, coke 4.25 a little high compared to other places

waited for over 2 hours but never received our order. The order was stuck on the "waiting for a driver" message then suddenly changed to "delivered" even though we never received it.

Ordered a regular fries and the portion was absolutely tiny compared to usual.

There are always comments that Five Guys is expensive for what it is, compared to other burger places. I admit I only went here as it could be put on expenses. The food was great though and the pistachio milkshake definitely worth a try if you haven't already done so.

Every single time I order from Five guys it’s wrong. Bacon cheeseburger comes with no bacon and 3 of the wrong drinks. Driver was nice.

I experienced terrible customer service during off-peak hours. Despite clearly instructing the employee to call me when my order was ready, she failed to do so. When I inquired about my order after 30 minutes, she ignored me. Other employees then informed me that I shouldn't have asked her, even though she was responsible for my order. The service was disrespectful and disappointing.

I ordered a cheeseburger with 3 toppings&large Cajun style fries, My burger was very dry i could only eat 3 bites out of it sadly due to the poor quality of the burger the toppings were nowhere near fresh. My fries were rotten&brick cold I spat it out straight away!!!
