they said they had delivered my food but I never got anything. don't know if this is a one time thing bit I'll not be ordering from here again

We were passing through in a room nearby and found this place for take out. the food was very plentiful and very well seasoned and everything was very tasty. So highly recommended.

Long delivery time, restaurant staff very unprofessional .I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Egg fried rice n Salman jalfrazi not worth the money and the wait 👎. McDonald might be a better option

Coconut rice was disgusting. It ruined the meal. The peshwari naan was horrible too. We are really disappointed. The meat was nice in both curries. The chicken pakora was however far too salty. Not great, such a waste.

Fantastic. Really enjoyed the whole meal. The Onion Bhaji is particularly special and one ofthe reasons I would use again.

Food was very early, only took 20 minutes. Maybe that was the reason for the disappointing food. Naan was stale and tough, binned. Missing yoghurt dip. Missing spiced onions. Curry tasted like tomato soup. Shame, my previous order was delicious, but this fell well below expectations. Hate to leave a bad review, but I'm not getting my money back so it is what it is.

We used to have curry leaf all the time but recently went down hill. Was very late, had to call a few times and they kept saying it was on its way. When the order arrived it wasn't the spice we had asked for specifically and bland. Such a shame as this was always our go to. Had to go elsewhere now.,

We've ordered Curry Leaf take-away at least a dozen times now. Food is always delicious & staff are so friendly & professional. Never a wrong order, not even once. They were also very helpful & clear when we were ordering for a celiac guest staying w. us. Very highly recommended.

We read the reviews and still went ahead and ordered. Result......very nice. Delivery was bang on 6:30 pm as expected. The food was hot and plentiful. Lots of Dips. Overall, it was a very nice meal at a very fair price. We would definitely recommend them based on our experience

The starter and Naan bread were fine but everything else was poor. The dip the starter came with had clearly been watered down and the curry was quite watery also. We only decided to go to this Indian because when I lived in the area, it was quite a few years ago, it had a great reputation. Worse Indian I've had in a while, many much better just down the road in Morningside.

We live right down the street and any time we order take out it’s fast, affordable and delicious! I love the butter chicken, chicken tikka & palak paneer. We’ve tried different delivery in the area and it’s always double the price and just okay. Love that we can get a feast here for a fraction of the price and everything is tasty even down to the free popadoms!

We had takeaway last night. It was really tasty. I had the Lamb Palak which was great. I wasn't a great fan of the aubergine pakora but the chicken pakora and onion bhaji were great. I'll definitely order from here again.

Wouldn't recommend. Garlic nan was like a soggy biscuit, salmon curry, tasted like chicken so I presume it was cooked in chicken sauce, the mushroom curry side was horrid, which psychopath cuts mushrooms in half and adds it in to a curry? All the other restaurants don't leave it looking like half a hammer and lastly the delivery time was well over 45mins late. Avoid at all costs

I have been ordering food here since a year ago and the food is always fantastic. Honestly, I don't understand how people can have had bad experiences ordering food from here . The dishes are also very well sized and we can eat two people just ordering one dish.

The food was fresh, portions were good, delivery was swift and we both found our dinner delicious. No complaints and with 20% off if using the website it was a bargain to boot. I will Definitely use this restaurant again.

Looked forward to the food as the restaurant had over 2000 reviews on Just Eat averaging over 5 out of 6 stars. Food took 1hr 20 mins to be delivered even though we live 11mins away. Food was bland. Aubergine still had a sticker on it, makes you wonder what the hygiene is like in the kitchen. Not ordering from this restaurant again.

Have been going here for a while, foods always good but 3 visits in a row we have had a sauce missing. The same call to them every time if we can send you it in 45 minutes.. kinda pointless. Food is good but I think we will be trying elsewhere

If I’m getting a curry I will always get it from here. I usually order a chicken madras and it is absolutely wonderful! Big portions, super tasty and always quick delivery. Also had various other items from the menu and have never been disappointed!

One of the best curries I've had in Edinburgh! We came into the Curry Lead and the staff are friendly and accommodating. I've ordered curry from here several times and it's always been great. Would definitely recommend.

I ordered the butter chicken with a peshwari naan, it tasted excellent. Service was prompt too. The prices are around £7 a curry which is fair and the naan sizes are generous.

Pedimos por internet y fue muy fácil de usar su sitio web. Nuestro pedido estaba listo antes de que lleguemos a recogerlo (y sólo viven en el piso de arriba! Todo estaba preparado y) condimentada perfectamente. Las raciones son bastante grandes. De hecho, las sobras para el almuerzo de mañana. Los precios eran muy razonables. Sin duda lo recomiendo.

got lured here by my nostrils from constantly walking and the tasty aromas coming out of this establishment, but this curry love affair wasn't to be; waiting over an hour and a half, guy on the phone was super rude and the curries we had were watery and the rice was dry. Not exactly like its a cheap establishment and there are far better value Indian takeaways around the area

Llevar a cabo nuestra comida del Curry Leaf fue la peor que hemos tenido. Esperamos empanadas de patata, patatas chuletas condimentadas Maris piper poco profunda frito con cilantro masala y pasta de huevo de la horquilla. Lo que se entregó fueron congelados croquetas de patata supermercado directamente a la bolsa! ! Nuestra comida principal del curry y arroz seco insípido y no especialmente picante. Te recomiendo muchísimo que no tiren su dinero.

Rubbish. Took 90 minutes to deliver burnt food, and the attitude stinks when you complain.

I have used curry leaf before, some time ago and it was really good.Here is what I ordered last night with a description from the menu and in brackets what I actually received. Potato patties - spiced maris piper potato cutlets shallow fried with chaat masala and egg yolk batter (I got 3 standard deep fried hash browns. I am not kidding, that is what I actually got) side of saag bhajee - spinach cooked with fried garlic and fresh coriander (boiled or fried spinach leaves, bland, I could've chucked a handful of the stuff in a pan myself with some salt and it would have tasted better). Punjabi sabz karahi with paneer - green vegetables stir fried with sun dried tomato puree, root ginger, garlic, kashmiri spice and sliced red pepper, medium hot. (boiled veg with paneer very mild and bland). I shall not be using this place again.

He pedido comida de curry de hojas un par de veces, y siempre muy servicial cuando yo llame y pregunte que platos son vegetariano. Incluso se rió conmigo una vez, cuando le pregunté sobre la comida vegetariana para mí, luego ir a pedir mantequilla pollo para mi hija. "Quieres mantequilla pollo?!" la comida deliciosa y un servicio excelente:).

We have used the Curry Leaf for a couple of years and it used to be great, however recently food seems to have seriously gone downhill- bland flavours and I suspect pre -cooked food which is microwaved or refried have sadly led us to seek...

Cada vez que he pasado esta comida para llevar, en los últimos años, los aromas eran tan tentadora. Finalmente pedimos un domicilio en línea anoche. My friend and I ordered a vast quantity of takeaway food from here, including tandoori mixed grill and a couple of lamb dishes. My curry was somewhat lacking in flavour, but passable. Mixed grill was fine. Keema naan and poppadoms were spot on. The lassi was really nice too, but for some bizarre reason is delivered in a takeaway tin, rather than a cup of some kind - meaning you have to transfer it into a glass which is a bit fiddly. Overa

I have been waiting for my order since 7pm through just eat and its now 10.30pm! Just Eat have tried to contact them and no answer!! Phone for restaurant does not work so cannot phone!!! Not one phone call from them to me either which is shocking! Will 100% never use them again and believe noone else should!

Ordered a takeaway curry this evening. Chicken tikka masala and chicken korma were both equally poor. Large dry lumps of chicken in an over sweet sauce. Spiced onions ...without spice!! Raita was over thick, with random lumps of cucumber and peppers. Popadums were crisp and tasty. Small compensation for a truly poor meal.

I don't understand the bad reviews of this AMAZING takeaway. My friend and I were staying in the area for a few days whilst visiting family, and were recommended to the Curry Leaf by the person we stayed we. We ordered the butter chicken, chicken balti, steamed rice and chipati. The food was delicious and arrived in less than 30 mins. Whoever wrote the bad reviews must work for jealous rivals - they have over 1000 reviews on Just Eat, most of which are glowing!

We have just ordered on a Friday evening. Firstly took over an hour and 10 mins to be delivered. We then start sharing out the different dishes- all cold which we had to microwave. The chicken pakora was over cook chicken and well cooked batter. The cheese nan was cold and cheese less! The two curries were cold and lacked flavour. Will not use it again!!

Experienced the most tasteless, inedible take out from this place. I am a lover of Butter Chicken and by no means did this describe the dish I was unfortunate to have last night. The sauce was as runny as a cup of tea and the chicken was too hard to cut into. I only ate a few mouthfuls and put the remainder in the bin, yuk.
