The best restaurants in Scotland

Brilliant food as always! Best Chinese food around! Always get service with a smile! The Duck was absolutely delicious. The mussels in black bean sauce were also incredible, I’ve never seen such big mussels. Excellent portion sizes. As always 10/10!

Lovely location, good service and great food. We had bacon rolls, an egg roll, followed by scones & cakes, all were excellent. Will definitely be back on our next visit to the area.

All the sandwiches and the steak pie were excellent. All breads are made fresh daily and the sweets are delicious. Limited seating but we did eat lunch inside.

Excellent lunch , came here for the first time yesterday and it certainly won’t be the last, food was fantastic and the service and staff were amazing, this place is spotless, makes our trip to Perth worth looking forward to lunch time ❤️😀

A friendly environment and fantastic staff

Delicious! Lovely to walk along the beautiful beach with an ice cream in hand. There was a queue but it went down quickly. There are potentially too many flavours but we just used that as an excuse to have to visit more than once!

Wonderful service , food was amazing , The staff were brilliant . the grounds looked from a different world , i shall be back in November .

Excellent supper, had a very good rib eye cooked medium rare paired with an Argentine cabaret sauvignon, delicious and all expertly delivered by owner Patrick. Highly recommended.

It's good to have a new Indian restaurant in Ayr and this one has the advantage of reasonable prices, large helpings and 'Bring Your Own Bottle'. The food was good quality with a great choice and some regional specialities. Service was pleasant and attentive and the restaurant decor is reasonable. Will visit again.

Great experience overall. The service was great. The food was great. The manager and staff went all out to make sure my elderly mother was assisted into the restaurant and made comfortable. I will recommend to everyone i know.

No hay nada que pueda criticar a Aaron Lodge. Estamos muy contentos de haber encontrado esta "joya" y sin duda no dudaríamos en recomendarla a cualquiera que desee un lugar limpio y cómodo para disfrutar explorando la ciudad. Arrived without booking, as we were unfamiliar with the area, and although the restaurant itself was full, we were generously offered a table, albeit in the bar area, which we were happy to accept. It would have been quite possible that we might have had slow service, even forgotten, but nothing of the sort; we were promptly seated with menus, our orders taken, and our meals served, all without undue delay by friendly restaurant and bar staff. The food was simple but delicious and perfectly cooked, in generous portions, and all concerned should feel proud of their contributions to such an excellent experience. Bravo!

Thoroughly enjoyed an excellent lunch at the Open Arms. We were seated in the library which was very nice. Varied choice on the menu of Scottish fair. Food was well presented and delicious. The staff were very polite and friendly. It is a very traditional and homely place and a bit different for a special occasion.
