What a bad experience...Kept waiting..No communication..I went inside a found a table whereby 2 girls were just leaving and said I could sit down. Some guy started yelling unintelligibly that I was to go back outside and not sit down. By then my wifes daughter had brought the pram to the table as we were holding a baby, the same loudmouth person was worse then, accusing her of holding people up , Untrue...yelling for us to get outside even though the table was empty. People were appalled at his attitude towards us. We walked out and others followed after hearing this yobbo with no managerial skills whatsoever yelling at customers and no consideration for the baby. We ate elsewhere only to find out that this yobbo was known in the food trade for his inadequacies in management. We met others who described similar instances to ours, also the food was not all that anyway, just a cheap burger joint. Never ever again.

Been here twice now in the last few weeks. Absolutely delicious food, fab menu and excellent service. Last time I had the Baja tacos which were lovely. This time I had the bootleg Big Mac - Amazing! Some of our party had loaded fries (the Katsu and Vietnamese ones particularly good) some had the pulled pork grilled cheese which went down well. There is a good kids menu and my son has enjoyed both the hotdog and the burger on our visits. It’s also dog friendly which we like. Very quirky and unique decor. We like the fact that this isn’t a chain and the staff seem genuinely interested in your experience. This has become our family’s new favourite place and I’d highly recommend it

This was an exceptional brunch. My wife and I ordered a mocha (coffee with a hot dark chocolate mix) served with 2 bourbon creams. Really delicious and unusual as I'm so used to a sweeter version. For food, we ordered the birras tacos, which were flavoursome and juicy. It was served with a fipping sauce, which was savoury with a strong beef taste. Highly recommended. We then had the Anthony soprano cheesy toasty, which was equally delicious and filling. As a side order, we indulged in chicken shwarma spring rolls, which were amazing and offered a twist on traditional Chinese spring rolls. Will definitely be BACK. PS it's dog friendly too

My partner and I went here before a gig and both of us loved everything about it. The location is ideal as there’s a lot around it and three always something going on. It’s very laid back and Glasgow with flower holders made from Buckfast bottles and cracking art hanging from the wall. There was a decent soundtrack of old school rap classics while the customer advice was second to none. Again relaxed but personable as well. This wouldn’t matter as much if the food wasn’t up to scratch. Thankfully you’ve got nothing to worry about. We kicked things off with the chicken tacos which were brilliant and with another side could have been a meal in itself. I went for a main of a Hot Mutha Clucker burger. Buffalo sauce and a succulent chicken breast more than hit the mark. Only slight downside was the chips. We decided to go with them plane and because of this they lacked the kick that the rest of the food had. Apart from that we couldn’t fault it.

As street food goes, this business really was awesome! Located in western Calton and south of the ‘Barras’, this wee place was buzzing. Very much promoting an urban / street art atmosphere throughout, inside the dimmed lighting really made our booth comfortable and relaxing. The staff were great - they had already set-up our area for children, with a high chair pre-positioned. The male and female that served us were both lovely and accommodating, interacting with us and the little ones. The food was the real winner here and the menu had so many good choices that I struggled to pick my meal. In the end, I opted for ‘The Dirty Dipper’ (£13.50) and the ‘Vietnamese Fries’ (£6.00). Hands down one of the best combos I’ve tasted! The Burger was oozing Scotland, with a Peppercorn Sauce dip (arriving slightly after the photo) to sink your whole roll into, as well as the vast amounts of Haggis. The Fries were sweet with a gentle kick from the Chillies. The only minor critique lies with the wait time to receive our food (around 40 minutes) and the cost, although (for me anyway) this was pipped to the post by the sheer quality of the food. Couple of points to note - free parking available (near Spoutmouth, although check timings) and the Kitchen runs a BYOB policy, with no corkage fee. All things considered, this was a memorable Saturday night in the city!

So many amazing things on the menu that we didn’t know where to start!! I went for a middle class chick with the truffle fries and boy it was tasty. My husband had the odyssey burger and Vietnamese fries and said they were yummy. My son had the kids cheeseburger and chips which he loved. Portions of the fries are huge so you could easily share. The server did warn us about this but we have are greedy and wanted to try both. We did look at eating at the Bucks Bar just along the road but at £16 a burger we changed our mind and so glad we did, Smokey Trotters was just as good as we remembered and great value too.

Tried Smokey Trotters last night food did not disappoint. However having booked then being told on arrival food could take 30 to 40 min to come was surprising. Was informed this is due to amount of delivery's, happy to say in the end food came much quicker. Did think they needed to turn the heating up a bit. Will defo be back

Horrible... Everything from start to finish. Arrived early to setup as told was ok. Only to be locked out and to find out on the day its byob. Mo glassware or cupware was provided. Lucky was cold as neither was ice. Order taken after 1hr with no allergens or dietary requirements asked 4 even tho we had a vegan eating with us. Bad music for the occasion with gangster rap thumping in 1 side of the restaurant. Female chef then came to our table to argue over the authenticity of our order. Waited another 1hr. No drinks again asked for...we left empty. Tired and frustrated. Not what it used to be. Not what i wanted

was looking forward to coming here after reading reviews. However was quite disappointed. We waited 40 minutes for our food to come out and when it did everything was vastly over salted. I also found the portions very small for the price paid. I paid £15 for a burger that came with no side salad or chips and the burger was not that big in size. Also found it obscure that you have to pay for sauce (including ketchup) which is £2. overall a disappointing experience for an over priced lunch.

The food here is very good American Style grub. Brought the kids and their pals (teenagers) and we had to wait for an hour from ordering and the chap behind us walked out. The orders were taken down wrong but I felt bad as the waitress had only started. But on a positive food was great when it arrived and there were lots of apologies. Had to ask for bill twice and we were given a round of drinks on the house which was a nice gesture. If orders were taken correctly and there wasn’t a lot of missing items it would be a 5/5. Great little place in East End and we will give it another go..

We had never heard of this place before but we found ourselves at a loose end in the district and were having a look around. What a fab joint. Anywhere that has a mural of the legend that is Anthony Bordain MUST know how to cook and MUST have a passion for the flavours. And it does!! The menu is vast and we just couldn’t choose. So we opted for Burria Tacos, Mac n cheese, Frida Kahlo Toastie , Korean Fries, Chicken Shawarma Rolls. And what a FEAST we got. Flavour is definitely their thing but let me tell you this wee tiny thing that matters…….the finish. The garnishes were wonderful. So right down to that tiny detail, they’ve got you!! Young server was so sweet and attentive. We did have a bit of a wait but it was busy. Music was epic too…..random mix of stuff long forgotten. Overall we had a great time. Only thing missing was a few cold beers. Could have stayed eating all day. Well done all

We visited on a Saturday night and were able to book a table last minute over the phone. So glad we did! We were advised on the phone that they served soft drinks only, but could bring our own bottle if we liked. This was our first visit and loved the vibe and look of the space. Nice, cozy outside area and the main space inside which had vintage 90s rap/hip-hop playing. Also loved all of the wall art inside and out. Even down to the Buckie bottle/ vases on the tables! Staff were very welcoming and pleasant. We were quickly seated at our table, given menus and asked for a drinks order. So much choice on the menu so deciding what to have was tough. A couple of things were sold out but we ate fairly late and can see why things sell out. So I will make sure to get myself down early next time. We opted for hot Cheetos dust mozzarella dippers, buffalo chicken tenders, The Dirty Dipper beef burger, The dippin’ chicken burger, Snobby and Korean fries. Portions are very generous and it’s was an absolute feast when it arrived. The food was so fresh and tasty. The burgers came with crispy onions in the bowl and a sauce each on the side - dirty dipper had pepper sauce and dippin’ chicken had a curry dip. Burger in to sauce then in to the crispy onions - taste sensation! The mozzarella sticks and chicken tenders were much bigger than we anticipated. The chips were nice and crispy and had the perfect amount of sauce on top. We managed the burgers and chips and our server kindly gave us boxes to take the rest home. 100% recommend and can’t wait to visit again.

We have used this restaurant several times and have always enjoyed the food . I phoned on Saturday to book a table for Tuesday . My call was eventually answered and then the phone was put down . I could hear the staff discussing how busy they were for about 5 minutes then they hung up . I phoned back again and spoke to the same young girl who apologised and said she forgot I was on the other end of the phone . I then booked a table for 3 people at 5-30 on Tuesday . We arrived this evening and were told that there was no booking recorded for us . The manager/ owner asked when we booked we checked our phone and told him it was 4-30 on Saturday . He said they had no record of the booking and said we could get a table outside but the food might not come until 7! As we were going to an event in the city this would have meant we would be late for this . Having travelled in to the east end especially for this is I was appalled at the lack of customer service. The owner / managers half hearted apology meant nothing as we still couldn’t order our food There is no point of having a booking system if the staff don’t bother recording the booking. Needless to say we won’t be back . The one thing you need is reliability when booking a meal Sadly this is lacking from here.

Not Argyle Street - 233 London Road, Glasgow Nothing fancy in here, but if you like a good burger with delicious sides then this is the place for you. We were a bit early and initially felt the server was a bit abrupt, but actually I think he was just rushed off his feet as he seemed to be serving on his own. Once we were in and got our menus, we couldn't decide what to have. We opted for the Trailer Trash and Ludlow St burgers and then halved them. We also shared buffalo tender strips, scheme poutine and onion rings with a couple of soft drinks each - it's BYOB - so these were topped up with our hip flasks. The food was absolutely delicious and we completely cleaned our plates. The photo simply does not do the food justice. It was a nice atmosphere, even though it was pouring outside, and most folk coming in were dripping!! We're in Scotland after all. If you are looking for good, honest grub, give this place a try.

Ross the member of staff today couldn't be More helpful. Came here today as my son had given me a gift voucher for wine and charcuterie. Excellent experience. Ross has to be so in love with his job. Gluten free not a problem. My wife was so impressed with service . Ross took the time to advise different dishes and showed different menus. The boars head croquettes were wonderful as was the pork. Equally stunning was the potato dish that Ross recommended to my wife. Free cocktail to the wife and a free pudding for me cos its my birthday. Wonderful service. We will.be back

Unfortunately I find this place has gone down hill significantly. Me and my husband have been regular visitors from when it first opened but I’d say from the past year it’s just not the same, the steaks have become smaller, the staff don’t seem very experienced in service and the lack of cleanliness of the toilets! Absolutely shocking. I went with my mother about a month or two ago and we booked a table for 5.30pm (opens at 4pm) the toilets had clearly not been cleaned from the night before and were disgusting to say the least. I had to hold my nose and watch where I stepped. The whole time the staff just standing about talking or sitting down on empty seats? Why not clean the filthy toilets. It’s gone down hill, staff has changed and it’s just not looked after like it was from the start.
