The best cheese counter in the Highlands! Just driven nearly 60 miles for it. The staff are so friendly knowledgeable and helpful. But be warned it’s one of those tempting places where you go in for just one thing and come out with a bag of deliciousness!

1st Visit to Bute, looking for relaxed, budget friendly place for Sat evening dinner, arrived 6.45pm perfect time for last orders at 7pm... Really efficient, friendly service. Looking at food other diners were having was fun as all cooked fresh to order, piping hot & tasty. Bring your own bottle for £3 corkage charge , a few tables brought their own wine along. Great menu variety 😋, highly recommend as a lovely relaxed dining experience which won't break the bank.

The bowels of the earth after half an hour waiting for Mac and cheese there no cheese. Re ordered fish and chips never arrived pathetic. The woman with the flame red hair eventually got off her butt and her ear bud to give me a refund What a dive. The upside the wee bar man was very apologetic. But my stomach was still empty. Cheep drink but a complete dive

Atmosphere not as friendly as the other dining options in Braemar, but menu price wise was on a par. Husband’s venison casserole came in a small dish with some mash and no veg. My chicken kebab had a huge portion of chicken and I enjoyed that and the salads but the chips definitely felt reheated rather than freshly made - as I also had rice and a wrap perhaps safer to not serve them with the dish. Maybe the burgers are a better bet here, but I would pick the other Braemar options in preference.

I never write reviews about anywhere and rarely order food in Glasgow anymore cause I’m so bored of it but I had to about here. I ordered the loaded fries with chicken and cheese sauce on the chips and it was genuinely so delicious but the thing I noticed was how fresh the food was. The jalapeños super fresh like cut fresh kind of way the chicken was actually coated and crispy even after delivery and normally food like that is soggy and the whole things was a great potion size and you could tell was prepared with good hygiene. I know I ordered something super simple but I am impressed I will try more things and the price was comparative but the quality the best I’ve had in a while. Good job guys

Pleasant environment with vast food menu and prices which are just about acceptable. Drinks have a high mark up and could benefit from a slight reduction. The food appeared within a reasonable time and was a satisfactory temperature and flavour. Menu would benefit by offering more healthy options for kids and perhaps allowing them to choose pasta dishes half price. The menu includes chips too often to be authentically Italian and modern kids do not eat chips with everything. Decent coffee on offer. We eat here often and service is usually efficient. Some serving staff are friendly and engaging whilst others are not. One final tip - get some tongs to handle biscotti and don’t use hands!!

I am coeliac and when I declared this I was so well catered for, instantly the waitress went through to the chef and let them know to put the gluten free fryer on, I was made aware of no cross contamination without having to ask, my cutlery was further cleaned for extra measures, I have never felt so comfortable coming into somewhere as usually I have a lot of anxiety around the situation
