We can highly recommend this place, the owners are very friendly and . The sour dough Pizza was excellent. We could sit inside and enjoyed our meal very much.

Nous cherchions une bonne pizza à manger sur place ou à emporter, c'est l'endroit qu'il vous faut ! Nous sommes restés manger sur une table à l'extérieur, attention il y en a peu c'est surtout une pizzeria pour emporter. La pâte est super fine, la garniture est excellente. Notre fille de 6 ans en voulait une particulière, le patron la lui a faite avec plaisir.

This is one of our fav pizza places in town and we have been ordering/collecting pizza from the same place over the last four years. It is our comfy food, our go-to pizza for cozy evenings at home. We have never had a bad experience at Dough. The staff is amazing and the customer service in all the other occasions has been excellent. However, today we have experienced one of the most unacceptable customer services that we have ever had. My partner was treated badly over the phone by the manager of the place who was clearly not in the position to explain the refund process (that Uber would have been responsible for) with polite matters. This is such an unacceptable behaviour especially since my partner was acting politely and without raising his voice (alike the manager). The manager apologised over the phone just after he was asked to behave politely since there was no need to act differently. Furthermore, I would like to add one point: how can the manager suggests to check the pizza at the presence of the Uber driver once it gets delivered and to give it back to the Uber driver if the order is not correct? Do people usually open their orders in the middle of the street? What if you have ordered 10 pizzas? We would have loved to have more clarification on this quite interesting aspect of Uber services but clearly it was impossible to talk with the manager. We will ask Uber and make sure are ready for next time, but definitely there will not be a next time with Dough. Thank you for your amazing pizzas over the years (again one of the best in town) but I don't accept anyone raising their voice or acting no-sense, especially for a pizza....

Delicious and unique pizza!! So happy we decided to try this little pizza restaurant. I had a vegan pizza and my partner had the Divola, which he loved! The dough for the pizza is so good. Soft on the inside, crisp on the outside. The vegan cheese was incredible! Never tasted anything like it. I’m from Alberta, Canada and our vegan cheese is nothing like this. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a most delicious pizza!!

One of the best stone baked pizzas I've ever had in Scotland! We found the place online and the kindness and the great sense of humour of the owner what made our lunch even better. Absolutely delicious pizzas and very warm and friendly environment!!!

We visited on a midweek evening and sat inside. There's only 4-6 seats inside but plenty more on the outdoor terrace. Pizzas are made fresh to order. You can see the process in the open kitchen. We ordered two pizzas (a Parma & Figs, and a Meat Lovers) with two soft drinks. Quite expensive at almost £42, but they were two of the best pizzas that we had ever eaten. Perfect bases with lots of excellent quality topping. We can't wait to return!

I regularly order from dough S clerk street and always had a good experience. However on this occasion I ordered from the rose st branch and was very disappointed, size of pizzas was significantly smaller than previously, dip size was also reduced and to top it off the pizza was cold and disformed... it's a shame that the quality is not standardised across outlets.

The offerings are many, the food delicious, my one and only criticism is they need to add more toppings!!! The pizza was fine, I just don't like it when they aren't generous with the toppings. Other than that, I would definitely come back and eat here again!!! I will just ask for more toppings next time!!!

I wish I could write a 0 star review the most ignorant customer service I have ever dealt with. Uber driver stole my pizza ok but the man I rang in the restaurant was beyond unhelpful he was so rude and so aggressive he didn’t care I never received my order because he was closing. I will never order from this restaurant again absolute ignorant customer service and I work in customer service myself so I know good customer service. Sort your staff out it’s a disgrace!!

Went here for the first time in a few months. It looks like it’s been taken over by someone new and all of the ingredients replaced with cheaper, tasteless ones. Prices were raise by about 4 pound extra per pizza as well. Got a capricciosa and the olives have been changed from kalamata to crap black ones. The tomato sauce was tasteless and even the dips tasted vinegary. Pity because it used to be one of the best pizza places in Edinburgh

Ordered a Diavola pizza through uber eats which arrived on time however pizza was stone cold it was pointless putting the mozzarella (Which came in a tub)on the pizza.After being recommended by a friend won't be ordering again.

Ordered 15 pizzas plus sides for our team meeting. Food disappeared in 10 mins with glowing reports after it was all done. The Dough team are friendly, helpful and generous with their time.

Love the concept and branding but honestly the cheese in all the pizza’s had no taste not like the usual mozzarella! I was disappointed that their truffle parmesan dip had no truffle too.

After a day trekking through Edinburgh we decided to take food back to the hotel. When asked my son gave the same answer he always does - pizza. We were ten mins walk away from Dough and the website was so easy to use we managed to order a Margherita and cannolis and watched them being made fresh as we arrived. Son was impressed. Pizza tasted amazing, I didn't realise the cannolis were also fresh! Definetly a hidden gem as it's tucked up on Rose Street. Next time we're up in Edinburgh we'll visit again.

Visité esta pizzería para llevar después de un par de copas en el centro de la ciudad y no me decepcionó. Pedí el Vegan Affair (1 de 2 opciones veganas del menú principal, estoy seguro de que podrían crear una si tú también lo pediste), y en 15 minutos regresé al hotel para disfrutar. ¡Y ciertamente lo disfruté! Pizzas are a reasonable price but the pizza wasn’t one of the better ones in Edinburgh. Dough was quite dry and crusts a bit tough. Pizza itself wasn’t particularly flavoursome. Probably wouldn’t go back.

Popped in on a Monday evening having since I'm working in Edinburgh for a couple of months on the hunt for decent pizza. Some of the best pizza I've had in a long time. Couldn't fault it at all. Friendly staff, cracking ingredients, perfectly cooked.

Llegamos a este pequeño restaurante después de las 10 de la noche y luego un miembro del personal amable nos informó que solo era comida para llevar, lo que nos convenía, ya que queríamos llevar nuestra comida de regreso a nuestro hotel.El menú es excelente y me costó decidir qué pizza elegir de la lista.Nos dijeron que podíamos personalizar cualquier pizza en el menú.Decidí ir al vesuvio, que era una pizza carnosa muy especiada y mis amigas tenían el lombardovento pero sin Gorgonzola.Ambos teníamos pizzas de 10 pulgadas que eran suficientes.El alioli parmesano era precioso y se nos da en la casa debido a mi novia de retirar el Gorgonzola de su pizza (que era un buen toque inesperado de que el caballero que nos sirvió).Ambas pizzas eran excelentes y listas para comer en ~ 7 minutos.Definitivamente volveremos la próxima vez que estemos en la ciudad.

Dije hola, solo estamos aquí por una pizza vegana a la que el chico detrás del mostrador no dijo nada y dijo en voz baja. pregunté por los menús, pedimos y mientras esperaba que llegara la pizza, el mismo tipo salió a fumar un cigarrillo tan cerca de la puerta que el humo entraba a pesar de que la puerta estaba cerrada, y luego ni siquiera se molestó en lavarse sus manos después! ¡simplemente seguí inventando cajas para llevar y preparando comida! Pensé que era bastante antihigiénico y asqueroso. la pizza estaba buena, aunque decía queso vegano, y en las fotos puedes ver las 3 cucharadas de algún tipo de queso insípido, del tamaño de una cucharadita. Their pizza is seriously amazing, but their slaw is disappointing. £2.75 for shredded veg and very minimal dressing - I would honestly call it a salad rather than a slaw, and even for a salad it doesn't really stand up either. But seriously cannot recommend the pizza enough.

This hidden gem may be tiny but the pizza and quality of base and toppings makes it an absolute must. Great if you need a take as they only have a few tables to eat in. Great value too

The pizzas are delicious and have lots of interesting and different toppings. Besides that, the service last night was generously compensatory after an order mix-up which was only partly their fault. Excellent service.

Paid £14.50 for Smoking Dough pizza which was essentially a magherita with what seems to have been the minimum amount of toppings they could give you. 5 small chunks of corn, about 5 thinly shredded pieces of pulled pork and "crackling" (tasted stale and like polystyrene). Overpriced for what you get. Wish we'd carried on somewhere else and feel a bit ripped off.

Edinburgh is not Napoli but these guys do very good pizza. Last nights you had to wait 45 min for pizza as they said they had 100 pizza order. With the staff they have it is impossible to make all pizzas perfect so we decided to come for lunch and we did right. We are on the spot and it was excellent.

No argument with anyone that has been to Dough. They make one of the best pizzas in Scotland. Fluffy, light and tasty dough. Fresh and good quality toppings. Reasonably priced. One they are in city centre of Edinbugh and they are 1/2 the price of what you pay for a Dominos but twice the quality & taste.

Popped in to the Newington branch to takeaway a pizza last night between Fringe shows.

We were in the sort of rush to find something to eat before show. We stopped there as we love pizza, was ready very quickly and was absolutely fantastic! Shame I don’t live in this area!

Had a margherita pizza and the portobello pizza. Both were great. Ordered online and it was delivered in about 30 minutes on a Friday evening.

I contacted Dough to order a number of pizzas for a charity event at work and they couldn’t have been more accommodating! I spoke to Robin by email to arrange everything and he was more than happy to help us. There were people in my office who hadn’t tried Dough pizzas before and they all loved them! It’s a new favourite for us all :) Especially the haggis pizza which disappeared in no time. Huge thanks to Robin and the team for their support for a great cause.

We were walking down the Rose street which is really cute but the restaurants and cafés feel quite touristic. So spontaneously we ended up in the small Dough pizzeria. It is really small but super cute and the pizza was just super delicious - one of the best ones I have ever had!

Loved the sourdough base — just the right balance of fluffy chewiness with a crispy base; well baked with some charring around the edges; and, very importantly, excellent taste (so often pizza bases are tasteless, being quickly yeast-leavened). The fillings options are a mix of traditional and innovative combos; the ones we tried were all delicious. Recommended!

This place does not look like much, but they serve amazing pizzas. They have a good selection, but the best part is the dough, as the name says. The prices are more than reasonable so this place is really worth a visit.

I'm dairy intolerance and it's difficult find a tasty pizza but here all the menu is amazing. Also, if you would like to try one design by yourself you can do it.

I absolutely loved my pizza and the amazing service. I was warmly welcomed by the shop-owner, and felt comforted straight away. I chose the pizza margareta, and it had a nice balanced flavour, emphasised by the basil. I liked it so mich that I will probabely go there again tomorrow. 10/10 would recommend.

We had wanted to order a pizza, checked the website which said they closed at 11pm, 10:05 we walk in to be told they were closing and to leave. Terrible service and ended up at Byron’s for much better service.

Ordered two large Pizzas there. They weren't hot when we got them and both of them were that much burnt at the bottom that we tasted it. Wouldn't recommend the delivery at all!

Best pizza in Edinburgh that I know of. I usually go for a vegetarian option: Margarita with Parmesan, cherry tomatoes. It's really good. The flatbread is really good too, desert options aren't very good which is a shame because desert after pizza is 10/10.

This is a little hidden gem. Very good pizza and very good value for money! I would recommend! The basil aioli is to die for and you should add this to your order for dipping! The best pizza I’ve had for ages!

they use filtered sea water for their dough and the result is delicious. It is a nicely decorated small pizza takeaway, but you could eat your pizza there from its box (max 4 people at the same time).

We ordered 2 x 15” pizzas here to take back to the office. Took advantage of the lunchtime offer that’s £20.95. We were able to do half and half of any pizza toppings. we waited 15 minutes and our pizzas were ready! They were delicious authentic tasting hot pizza. The ham mushroom and black olive was the stand out! We had had Pizza Hut delivered to the office a few days before and that was bland and greasy in comparison. Will defo return!

one hour 15 mins after placing our order we checked our email to find they had ‘been trying to contact us’ (no they hadn’t) as there was a query on our order’. we called. astonished to find our order was on hold, wait for it, ......because they’d run out of sour cream dip and wanted to know if we wanted an alternative!!!!

Just had a delivery of 3 pizzas from these guys. Kids went for classic margherita "These are the best pizzas" and I went for the parmigiano with aubergine and pine nuts. Absolutely delicious. Delivered on time by smiley delivery man. We had also wanted to try one of their Nutella, Raspberry and Crunchy Torta-Dessert...OMG it was fabulously gooey with a little texture of crunch. Messy to eat but that was all part of the fun. You HAVE to try.

My wife and I have used this shop a fair bit over the last wee while, however not again, after the odd wee problem, tonight took the biscuit, 2 pizzas were ordered, one had a base so tasteless and hard, that would not be out of place if dug up by the crew from time team, the other, a goats cheese pizza with lemon, 1 major problem, there was no goats cheese?? Actually 0, but that was made up for by the most extra ordinarily amount of fresh lemon, however, delivery was quick and on time but without the coke we ordered. The coke was refunded. We will never grant this place 1 single penny once again from how the complaint was handled, again though the girl on the other end of the phone was nice and polite, and nothing what so ever was her fault. But to demand a photo of food before you recive a refund it just not a policy I agree with, so be warned before you tuck in take pics for what you may consume.
