I wanted to love Buck's, been meaning to go for ages. The atmosphere was great, really lively rocker bar feel but also family friendly. Had a chicken burger with gravy, it was nicely cooked, but it was painfully salty. Everything on the menu sounded great but was a bit disappointing. Kids said it was OK but wouldn't go back.

1st experience here and was very impressed. Staff were excellent and the food was amazing and generously sized. Would 100% recommend and will defo return 👍

Usually a big fan but not happy with tonight. Ordered just two burgers at about 7:15, arrived at about 7:30 (after being prompted that the food was ready). Got there and was told several times your food is coming. Long story short, waited for just over 30mins outside and food finally arrived at 8:05. Simply not good enough for food to take that long and make no apology when something clearly went wrong. Can I suggest actually apologising when something goes wrong doing something to rectify it instead of pretending it didn't happen? Wouldn't make such a big deal if it weren't £15 each for takeaway burgers and chips.

Amazing food as usual from the place, a few smokers outside the window we were seated at did make it smell a little tho !

Had plenty of chances but too many of the staff have an attitude problem (not all), especially one of the women workers with the chubby build and curly hair. Maybe, because I do deliveries they have a sense of superiority or something? Asked how long the order would be and she says: "no idea, you just need to wait. It's busy", okay you go do it yourself then and this is the second time i've met her and she has been like this both times. 99% of business owners or staff are kind enough to tell you how long you are expected to wait but not here.

Love this place, great food & great service, the sauces are to die for, never had a bad meal here 👍 only fault, I'd say the seatings too close together

Probably the largest deep fried chicken burger you'll ever have. The menu is great - offers different varieties of burgers. Portion sizes are huge (including the chips). The service was impeccable.

This place should not have negative reviews! The quality, texture, taste, and presentation of the food are amazing. It's like something out of a commercial! The staff are lovely and the atmosphere is amazing! Two wee weens loved it. Great selection of music! Coming back definitely 😁 👍

DO NOT ORDER TAKEAWAY FROM HERE! The food is fantastic IF you get it. We love visiting the restaurants in the city centre, and I think all bar 1 time (probably 10 in past couple of years) we have had something missing.

My first time experiencing Bucks Bar, and I wasn't disappointed! The food was amazing, staff were amazing an music choice suited the venue. I can't wait to come back when I have family visiting in a couple of months. I also noted they had lots of GF food options as well.

The Ryan Air of the Glasgow restaurant scene: get them in, get them out as quickly as you can. Went Monday night; arrived on time; table wasn't ready. We were told to wait at the bar - we were then moved from the bar as they were using that for additional restaurant seating. We then had to stand in the middle of the floor, awkwardly avoiding people trying to get past us. All very stressful. When seated, a bit late, the food was good but, minutes after they brought our third round of drinks, then told us we had five minutes left on our table. Apparently you get a measly 1hr 15 minutes for a two person table. In fairness this was in very small print in the booking. We pointed out that we had been seated late and, after much huffing and eye-rolling, they gave us an extra 6 minutes (apparently that's how late they were seating us - very petty). The whole thing just felt like a conveyor belt. Once you'd finished, they wanted you out the door. I get it. I get that they're trying to make money and so service might take a hit. I get, too, that some people won't mind poor service - but I'm not one of them. I won't be back. Places selling chicken burgers and wings are ten a penny. Eventually the novelty will wear off.

Buck’s Bar Southside in Glasgow is a fantastic spot! The vibe is energetic and fun, with amazing decor. The chicken wings are some of the best I've ever had, and the cocktails are top-notch. Friendly staff and great music make it a perfect hangout. Highly recommend! Five stars!

Much like its central Glasgow counterpart, if you are in medical need of massive chicken South Side, this does the trick. The trough pics of food never do it justice. The other half often gets taken for snac later and they do a doggy bag no problem.

Decent food !! The chicken burgers are massive there like a chicken schnitzel in a bun highly recommend!!! Buckora- there own pakora !! Really nice little kick of spice !! Layed back atmosphere 👌 Good value for money!!

Happened upon the bar looking for a couple of pints whilst waiting for a train after the football, a really nice bar with really nice staff, we didn't try the food, but it was clear everyone was throughly enjoying theirs.

Good portions size, reasonable price. Nice atmosphere with the live singers on a Saturday evening. Enjoyed the food, no complaints.

Delivery time kept changing, milkshakes eventually delivered without food, rude delivery driver, food eventually delivered, lukewarm rubbery chicken and rock hard thin fries. Bucks Bar repeatedly not answering phone. This is now several times Deliveroo has let us down. Food quality at Bucks Bar has deteriorated over the last year. really disappointed and not value for money. Won't be ordering through either again.

Very disappointed, ordered 3 pieces of buttermilk chicken - too salty, likely processed and from frozen. Chips fried on old oil. I used to frequent american style fried chicken joint and just no comparison. Extra star for service, very attentive. Shame really but not up to standard, KFC is way better.

We just went in for a pint but tried the cauli bites and they were delicious! They have a few veggie options and a Gluten Free menu which is great to know. There's GF peroni and a cocktail list so I'm sure we'll be back again soon, definitely has a nice atmosphere.

Very disappointing, been to Buck's Southside before and it was great. This time the service was terrible, There were 3 of us for dinner, drinks took an age to come and I could see them sat on the bar with no waiting staff interested on taking them to our table, my companions food arrived and I sat for 15mins waiting for mine to arrive. The chips were overcooked and heavily salted and the chicken was nothing special. I doubt I'll be back anytime soon.

Went on a cold Wednesday evening, service was prompt and friendly, food was plentiful and tasty so got some to takeaway, great 70s rock music playlist too, will recommend 👍

Great food all around and excellent milkshakes. My best advice is to have the more plain buttermilk chicken and hit the sauce wall. Bonus tip: use flash to bypass some of the red light in your photos.

Quality pint,however, £4.75 a pint of tennents!!! Perhaps to used to ruggy prices in wetherspoons and vicky bar at £3.22 and £3.35 respectively.

Food had staff hair found within it, request for a refund was denied.

Got a last minute table here and brought our little dog. The food must have come out about 10 minutes after ordering. Everything was delicious and the crispiest the fries have ever been. The staff were really attentive and gave my dog a couple of cuddles. Ninja burger was delicious and love having a dog friendly restaurant for dinner time as it seems to be mostly brunch places that do that!

Very appreciative for salvaging a horrendous Uber Eats experience tonight. I had placed an order through Uber Eats and although my order was ready to be picked up, no one was picking it up. THREE different drivers were assigned and every single one cancelled the job after sitting in the same spot for about 15 minutes each. I called Buck's directly, explained the situation and they said I could come and pick it up (even though that is absolutely not the way things should have been done). They even made me a fresh burger as my original one had sat there waiting to be picked up for over 40 minutes. Very grateful as it was not their fault at all. Boycott Uber Eats, order directly with the venue if you can.

Great little place to eat, cocktails are great during the week!

I love all 3 Bucks Bars in Glasgow, but this is my favourite! The staff are friendly, the food is superb & fast, and the atmosphere is just right. My go to favourite is the Chinatown wings, if you haven’t had them then you need to get them. Now. I’ve tried all the others & not found any I don’t like! I’m not a waffle type of gal, but these have gone down a treat with many a companion. Also they are pretty decent at catering for vegans. They’ve got a good selection of cocktails, my fav is the Bloody Maisie. My only negative is that when I was pregnant they were unable to make me a non-alcoholic cocktail which I still don’t understand as they just needed to leave the booze out, but I think that may have been a temporary glitch in otherwise outstanding service. If you haven’t been to Bucks before, make sure you check out their selection of hot sauces.

Not a very good experience. Booked for drinks here at 9pm on a Saturday for a friend’s birthday as we wanted to stay local. At about 9:45, there were no other customers in so staff started passive aggressively closing up the bar around us but at no point did they come over and say “We’re going to shut early tonight, sorry.” Just made us feel extremely uncomfortable until we eventually left which was evidently the intention from the looks we were getting when finishing our drinks. Really disappointed and am unlikely to be back. Closing 3 hours early on a Saturday night is unacceptable but also acting this way makes it worse.

Love Buck's bar and it has really decent tasty food. My pal, who is gluten free, was also pleased. Thumbs up 👍

Really busy with customers and take away service and we were seated close to the door so really cold every time the door opened. 1 rowdy person caused a bit of a scene but I have to say the staff dealt with it professionally and made a point of checking on us to make sure we were OK. Our server was lovely and very helpful.

Food wasn’t to temp the chips were all greasy small broken bits and the cauli was soggy. My wife got the seitan burger and the bottom was so greasy it stained her new nails she got done.

Superb place. Was recommended by my niece for my son's birthday. HUGE burgers. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Dave Addison was the love entertainment and again, was absolutely first class.

never had a bad experience until today when I ordered takeaway, opened the box, first thing I see is a hair, disregarded that, it could be mine, break off a piece of chicken that I'd asked to be well done and the juice runs. It was clear, so, it's cooked, I'm sure it'll be lovely after it's had another few minutes in the oven, by which time the lukewarm chips will be cold lol

Great meal here last week. Loads of choices on the Gluten Free meal. Everything was delicious. This is one of the few places that the GF food looks and tastes as good as the non GF meal. Can't wait to go back.

Warning to Families! Arrived around 8:20pm after travelling from the other side of Glasgow to eat here for my daughters 18th birthday family meal. The woman behind the bar takes our drinks order 3 soft drinks, 1 milkshake and a cocktail for my daughter who's just turned 18 today. The woman asks for her ID and all's good. At 8.30pm a guy comes over who I assume is the manager, i'm expecting him to be checking my daughters ID again but no he asks if my son is under 18, the answer is yes to that and he then explains they have a licence that means kids under 18 need to be out for 9pm (recently upgraded from 8pm apparently). The place is empty, an older couple just finishing up eating and 4 other folks sitting in the upper area plus us. It was a Thursday night, not like we were in during busy weekend trade..... We were asked to either order, eat and be out for 9pm or have takeaway. When I said we came from the other side of Glasgow and it was my daughters birthday we were offered a 25% discount on our takeaway order, at this time of night we never had much other option than to accept. All in all my daughters 18th birthday meal/night out was ruined. Food was good, still warm by time we got home but the night out for her birthday was the point of us being there. People in ordering food within kitchen open hours should be given reasonable time to eat and leave.

Service was good, food was hit and miss. The Mac and buckora was good but the wings were clearly bought super cheap and had a mushy texture. Cocktails were weak but tasty!

Went here after the Red Hot Chillies concert at Hamden Park. Was good spot to let the crowds die down to get a cab back to the city center.

we love BUCK's BAR. once you arrive in the restaurant, you are always welcomed with open arms (make sure you book before hand as it can get really busy) chicken and waffles are always outstanding, i normally go with salad,chicken fillet and mac'n'cheese. great music, good atmosphere, amazing staff , amazing fresh food. cocktails are tasty too

A lovely warm welcome from Corey (GM) to seat us. Service was impeccable & attentive and the food was very tasty and portions are massive. Good deal on drinks with discounted cocktails. 2 x Wing & 2 x main meals + drinks for around £60 seemed a good deal to us

First time trying Bucks bar. Not had decent chicken and waffles since being in the states in 2019, and they didn't disappoint. Wings were amazing, and cocktails were great. Will definitely go back.

Friendly and very tasty, the food that is. However if you don't like chicken, you will find the menu limited. Still We went there knowing the score. All the dishes we tried were both filling and delish. Would go back and would recommend.

Great stuff. Service was very helpful without being intrusive. Thought it may be a bit on the pricey side when looking on the menu, but when I saw what we got my mind was changed immediately. Massive, massive quantities of food. And it doesn't sacrifice quality for that quantity, delicious from start to finish. Excellent gravy, sides, burgers, chicken, excellent everything.

Best chicken burger I've ever had. Generous portions, crispy not greasy, succulent & tender. The nutjob hard shake was to die for and was so filling it could be a meal in itself. I'll definitely be back.

Home delivery review. Meal arrived in a box that that made the chips and bun soggy. The bun was so wet it fell apart when touched. The slaw tasted like they used water as a dressing. The chicken was very tough in places that made it inedible. Wish I went to KFC.

Came here for the second time and it didn’t disappoint. I think whatever you go for on the menu will be worth the money, chicken and waffles are class, salt and chilli chips are superb and the drinks menu isn’t too shabby and pretty reasonably priced I’d say, music is right up my street and the staff are friendly, which is nice 👌

I finally visited this place for the first time. I absolutely loved it here. They serve big portions which I do love. They ask if you would like to take your leftovers home too. They have a good gluten free menu and they use separate areas and fryers. Being celiac this place didn’t give me a reaction. Their food is really tasty and I liked the music playing. I will be back. :)

Small but what it lacks in space it has much more quality in everything else, from food the service to the music.

Chicken portions are insane, sandwiches are flavourful, chips were good and my 2 year old loved dancing to the music.

It's Buck's bar what more can you say. Food is great but be careful when ordering as the portions are huge. I love the super spicy options if you are brave enough. Great selection of drinks and shakes. Burgers are the best thing there and you can't go wrong with one. Definitely a place I go back to again and again. Oh and it's halal. Staff a very friendly and always on hand to help with a smile.
