Oyster Bar in Glasgow City

Después de haber visitado el Rogano en mis veinte años ahora en mis setenta descubrí que el restaurante aún tenía ese encanto de elegancia y clase. El personal era excelente y el servicio era tan excelente como podía recordar. Dice mucho volver a un lugar después de tantos años, pero me encantó.

Make your reservations early. While we just showed up and they served us at the bar, it was really crowded on a Friday night at 6:15. Great food, wonderful service.

Day trip to Glasgow with friends and had lovely cocktails in this bar. Staff really friendly and happy to have 'banter' with us. Would defo go back

Fuimos con una oferta itison - 4 cócteles para 12 libras con algo para picar. Excelente selección de cócteles, servidos por un personal muy atento. Este fue un paseo en oferta, sin reserva previa necesaria. Fuimos un viernes por la tarde. El lugar estaba lleno con un gran ambiente. Áreas de descanso muy cómoda. Los cócteles eran fabulosas. Una gran relación calidad-precio y sin duda hacer de nuevo. Wc no eran geniales y cubículos eran muy claustrofóbico, pero las bebidas y lugar más que compensó por ellos.

Así que después de visitar un vuelo en ginebra y de estar decepcionado con el servicio, he vuelto dos veces recientemente y ha sido absolutamente de primera clase.Visité una promo para prosecco y mordiscos pero terminé con champaña moet - ¡ANIMAS! Luego fue en el último fin de semana en otra promoción de cócteles y mordiscos. Los cócteles eran deliciosos y empacaron un golpe. Buena atmósfera.

El menú parecía atractivo, los precios en vez de las pero no inasequible, así que probamos. Entramos en el restaurante y. . . . Este momento. sabes cuando el personal te mira de arriba a abajo como si quería decir 'está seguro de que ha elegido el restaurante? '. Una cálida bienvenida sin duda es diferente.La temperatura de la habitación era bastante fría, y no había mucha luz. Nada en contra de un ambiente acogedor, pero si la luz es apenas suficiente para que lea el menú es sólo le hace falta la sensación de estar considerado como un huésped.La sopa de pescado local como entrante estaba bien, pero demasiado al cilantro. Para los platos principales nos tenía un salmón, bacalao que regresamos un poco cocidas, pero al menos las cantidades eran buenas en comparación con otros restaurantes bastante caro.En general, no es una mala experiencia, pero el personal mejoraría la sensación de que si estaban menos arrogante y la calidad de la comida era bastante normalito y por ende no merece la alta pricepoint. No me alojaría allí de nuevo.

Ya vale por una botella de vino y quesos visitó el viernes por la tarde bastante ajetreada, pero capaz de acomodar. Personal eficiente, amable y atento. Un entorno muy lujosos como el restaurante. Buena botella de Pinot Gricio y selección de quesos. También agradable música de fondo no entrometido

had oysters they were supurb then cullen skink,wanted to go back but ran out of time.young waitress was fantastic as was all staff and decor great, if in Glasgow do yourself a favour you wont regret it.

Nos pareció que este era sólo un pequeño café bajando callejón en la plaza principal. . . No pequeño café tres zonas para comer fuera, dentro de las cabinas y una zona de bar más a lo largo de la habitación puedes ir. . . . Estilo Art Deco crea el ambiente para una estupenda comida y servicio. . Ostras eran. fresco y delicioso recomendaría probar la salsa de jengibre y lima con ellos. . El personal era muy feliz de su marido principal del menú del restaurante como nos sentamos en stand en la zona de bar y lo que él quería no era en este menú. . . Todos comida era deliciosa. . . . Sin duda volveremos la próxima vez en Glasgow.

El domingo visitamos Oyster Bar temprano en la noche por primera vez con mi marido. El bar estaba muy lleno, pero nos las arreglamos para asegurar una mesa para dos cerca del restaurante. Teníamos un vale de 5 pm (costo £9) que nos permitía dos cócteles, aceitunas y algo para picar. Había 6 cócteles para elegir el menú que normalmente eran precio de £6. 75 a £7. 25, elegí un Flirtini y arándanos basado. Mi marido pidió una cerveza que venía rápidamente con una buena porciones de aperitivos y la pena alrededor de 5 minutos más tarde obtuve mi cócteles que eran bastante y sabía muy bien. En general, una gran visita a este encantador bar con bebidas agradables y un personal agradable. Lo disfrutamos tanto que nos hemos reservado la cena en el restaurante la próxima semana.

Cheese and wine gift voucher bought for a birthday, used early afteroon in very pleasant surroundings, lovely, friendly, efficient staff.

Yo tenía esperanzas de Rogano para una cena elegante, pero me decepcionó en tres terrenos. Primero, no había pimienta de cayena ningún sitio donde ir con mi plato de salmón ahumado. En segundo lugar, no hay vino de Alsacia fue por copa o media botella de un modesto rango. Por último, aunque lo pregunté antes sobre un bar de puros para después de la cena, la zona climatizada cerrada en 10 antes había acabado de comer.

Visite este bar es como retroceder a una época de art deco. Zona de bar muy relajado y buena formal

The bar is certainly stunning with its Art Deco furnishings and was really busy on a Saturday afternoon. Good list of cocktails but somewhat bemused as the bar staff struggled to provide the smoke for the "Smoke On The Clyde" cocktail that we ordered. Have to say a bit disappointed in this cocktail for the price paid (£12.50). Was worth a visit to say we have been there but can't see us rushing back anytime soon

Great meal as always, nice staff who always help out and great cocktails...The only small thing was no prossecco....?

Itison voucher for drink flights - 4 vouchers for 4 Drinks for 4 people - 2 whisky, 1 gin and 1rum a great way of trying new brands. Staff excellent and a beautiful place would highly recommend and . Will definitely be back.

Visited Oyster Bar on a busy payday Friday night to use some Itison vouchers. £9 for a flight of 4 drinks is a great deal in our opinion so we bought 2 vouchers. Tried a variety of gin and whiskey with Glenmorangie 12 being my favourite. The prices on the regular menu are a little steep but considering how good the cocktails were I'd say it's worth it (just).Staff were clearly busy but still friendly and willing to give a little advice on drink choices. The setting was comfortable and we left with a warm sense of wellbeing. A very good night indeed.

Wonderful bar with beautiful decor and amazing cocktails prices very reasonable and very helpful staff well worth a visit

氷雨の降る寒い大晦日。お腹を満たすためにあちこちと街中を彷徨いましたが、祖コットランドの伝統料理のレストラは何処もいっぱいで、今夜は寂しくファストフードかと思っていましたが、メイン通りから目を向けるとOysterの看板が目に入り、思わず笑みが～♡地階にもレストランがあり広々としていました。料理は店名どおり牡蠣はもちろん！シーフード料理を堪能できました。これだけでもグラスゴーに来た価値ありです。

Been in here a couple of times in the past month. Got the oysters and a few cocktails. It is a blast from the last but a really nice atmosphere.Been before for a meal which was really nice, and great wines

My last night in Scotland and I found this place for an early dinner. 6 oysters and a warm chicken salad with a glass of white wine. The decor, mixed drinks, and Bennett/Sinatra/Martin vocals made me think I had fallen into a time warp. All was very good - food, service, atmosphere.

This authentic Art Deco era is intact and survives from the 1930s which is amazing as most of these gems were destroyed in the 60s and 70s. Obviously as the name suggests it specialises in Oysters but they also do lots of other seafood dishes as well as some meat dishes. Their choices of Champagnes and cocktails are super and their coffee is superb. The interior could do with a bit of freshening up and the main restaurant is dimly lit.Overall this is good place to visit off whatever you wish to eat or drink. It is a pity that the outside does not fortell of the interior. They have some outside seating which is quite peaceful as the pedestrianised lane is not busy with footfall.

Enjoyed our meal here on 14th january for partners birthday Downstairs at Cafe Rogano were very interesting pics of movie stars & celebrities from the past Art Deco style too staff were very pleasant friendly service was great Food was excellent first time visit expensive allright but well worth at least one visit

Great service good atmos and really good food......expensive but you should go once in your life. The oysters are the best I have tried and well presented. Always a queue at weekends.

Fabulous oysters especially the soy and onion dressing. Just off the Main Street but well worth a visit

Had occasion to dine here 16th August, a hidden gem was discovered, the Art Deco interior and the jazz and big band music playing non intrusively in the background was a prelude to good service a varied menu and a good standard of cooking from the kitchen, made this an evening to remember. On my next visit to Glasgow I will definitely be booking a table to return and hopefully repeat a very good meal and a good night.

This place is one of the best places I've ever tasted seafood.Beautifully presented, very good service and a fantastic evening was had b all my guests.

Really good food, I had fish of the day and my husband had seafood linguini. Would recommend to anyone, if we visit Glasgow again, we Will be back.

Nous avons été charmé par la petite terrasse (chauffée!) de cet établissement ainsi que par la qualité des plats (huîtres, "fish and chips" et desserts). Excellents cocktails aussi. Accueil charmant et service prévenant. Vu le succès, l'adresse semble incontournable à Glasgow.A recommander surtout pour boire un verre (avec ou sans huîtres!)

We had dinner outside this evening and I can sum it up this way...Food was good (not great) and service was horrible. I truly hate it when the wait staff stands at the table, looks at the pile of dirty dishes and walks away. This happened at least 3 times until I finally asked if they could please clear them away.

Went with my son and his girl friend for a treat. Good quality food but very expensive. With wine, probably the most expensive meal per head I have had.

I'm from Glasgow, and currently live in the US, and I feel this is the best place in the city.The bar is a haven when you want to take a rest from the city streets, and the downstairs restaurant has a wonderful prix theatre menu at a great price.Upstairs, the restaurant is cozy and elegant. I can't say enough about the food and service. Ian, Martin and Anne greet you and pave the way for a wonderful experience.I love and highly recommend the Rogano. It's my go to place in the city. per noi, il posto giusto per un aperitivo che si è prolungato fino al pranzo. Volevamo davvero gustare ostriche e bere guinnes. Farlo qui è stato spettacolare ! dopo di che abbiamo proseguito gli assaggi della cucina tipica sempre a base di salmone... le sorprese non mancano
