I had the most amazing meal at this restaurant. My husband got the fish and chips, but it was no where near average. Their fries (or chips) have ruined all other fries for me. They were out of this world delicious! Do not hesitate to eat here, it’s not a meal, it’s an experience.

Group party. Really enjoyed a food

The place was nice but lacked atmosphere. The staff were pleasent but robotic and the service was on the slow side. The starter was very nice (Haggis, neeps and tatties) and roast beef was tender and juicy. However the Yorkshire pudding and the roast potatoes could be better. The set menu is very reasonably priced.

A typical Scottish place. Where gastronomy is something that is truly appreciated. Great food and even better service... In price it is not cheap, but it is not to be considered very expensive either... £53.90 for two people with a shared dessert and two Coca Cola drinks... There is an affordable menu that we use... Highly recommended if you want to try the typical gastronomy of Alba (Scotland)

3 course meal is so worth it! Although it seems like it might be limited on the day so do be aware. Whiskey tasting menu is also amazing. Staff is friendly and hardworking.

Everything was perfect. Scallops for a starter followed by Venison stew and Lamb shank. Fantastic😋 And to end, Pear and cherry crumble, incredible😋

First time visit and had a brilliant meal on the super value market menu. All the food in our party was delicious which included lamb stovies, scallops, goats cheese & beetroot, venison stew, haddock and chips, chicken, sticky toffee pudding and tiramisu. Lovely dark & stormy cocktails. Brilliant service and will definitely be back.

We ate here while on vacation. We both had the venison pavé, fantastic. I’d include a picture but it disappeared before I could get a shot. Service was great and good drinks/wine.

We enjoyed our visit on a Thursday evening and had a hearty dinner. The mussels were the best my wife has ever had and my Langoustines were great. The Seafood stew was hearty and tasty and my wife's Venison was excellent. We're rarely in Glasgow now but we would visit again.

Would certainly recommend this restaurant , fantastic food , staff really friendly, very reasonable prices . My husband and I both had the three course meal , we will certainly go again .

Quality Scottish cuisine restaurant, in a central area, very nice interior, friendly staff, excellent venison stew, lamb shank and small lobsters. It is possible to taste the whiskeys of the distillery of the same name, the westernmost in all of Scotland.

I walked in here while searching for Scottish food. I had to try the Skink soup and Haggis, Neeps and Tatties after the hostess s recommendation. I walked out of here satisfied and definitely coming back again.

One of the best Scottish restaurants in all of Scotland.

Quite central place, with a characteristic and comfortable environment. Friendly staff, but service not very fast. Good selection on the menu, including drinks. Some dishes are really good (like the lamb), others - like the fillet and the venison - decent but nothing exceptional. Also uninspiring starters and desserts. Slightly high prices. Overall I would go back, it's still a nice experience and it's relaxing.

Haggis was delicious. I’m an American and it was my first time eating Haggis. The waiter told us about sampling the appetizer item but in hindsight, I wish I ordered the whole dish.

Well what can I say restaurant wonderful maybe even more space food especially the fillet with gorgonzola sauce. Extremely quiet place, typical Scottish music, excellent beer and delicious desserts if you're in Glasgow I recommend you come here but book in advance! Which is always full

Loved my Cullen Skink. Flavorsome and filling. The seafood stew was a bit disappointing. My friend had the venison stew. Sadly it was lukewarm and he ended up with upset tummy the morning after. Service was great.

A good place to try Scottish cuisine, very high-quality food. The only flaw of the place is the bar - all drinks were not good at all. Hope you'll have more luck with that! Great market menu working even at midday.

We had a great evening with a fantastic meal. I savoured a steak that is certainly one of the 15 best I've ever eaten in a restaurant.

We ordered cullen skink soup, huggies, mushroom risotto, sirloin and fish & chips. Sticky toffee for dessert. Everything was great and the atmosphere was very pleasant.

Hard to beat So good we went twice in three days Cullen skink / lamb stovies for starters… filling and delicious. The main course of roast chicken in a delicious sauce with mash and green beans was exceptional. Friendly and very professional service. Definitely our best restaurant experience in Glasgow!

Disappointing on this occasion. Goat’s cheese starter was minuscule. The haddock had too much thick batter. Practically no veg with any of the dishes we had. This would put me off any future visits.

We had a wonderful dinner at Ardnamurchan during our visit to Glasgow. The food was superb, the service was excellent, and it had great atmosphere. Next trip to Glasgow we will eat here again.

Came for the Cullen skink, was not the most impressive. Venison stew, some bits were super soft others were not. Steak was chewy but flavoured well although the peppercorn sauce was too empowering. Haddock and chips were ok, fresh but not the freshest. Food was good but was not impressive.

We visited on 17 July 2024. The restaurant is a stylish and very cosy place to enjoy a good meal. We chose a three-course meal. The main course of steak was very meaty and was cooked medium rare, so the meat was well cooked on the outside and juicy on the inside. The dessert tiramisu was quite large, sweet and delicious! We had lots of alcohol, including champagne, red wine, white wine and a whisky drink, all of which matched the food and were delicious. I would recommend this restaurant as one of the best places to have a good meal!

TBH I was surprised at how low it was in the rankings and Boston of the <3 reviews were because of the service. We had no complaints about the service and the food was excellent. We were with a Brazilian who was first time in Scotland and we all wanted to try Scottish fayre- we were not disappointed! We ordered as Scottish tapas with lots of the starters and shared them between us. The quantity was just right and we had chance to taste the iconic dishes of Scotland impressing our Brazilian on the freshness of Scottish produce.

We had a delicious meal at Ardnamurchan. Although it took a little longer for our food to arrive due to a busy kitchen, the wait time was not too bad in the end. The wait was definitely worth it because the food was really delicious. The location is excellent and the interior looks nice and neat. The cocktails were also very tasty and definitely worth a try. The value for money of the food was excellent. Conclusion: Ardnamurchan offers a wonderful dining experience with a beautiful and neat ambiance. Despite a slightly longer waiting time due to the crowds, the delicious food, tasty cocktails and good value for money make this restaurant highly recommended.

Wow! Going back tomorrow:) seafood stew ..salmon mussels etc…..yum.. roasted beetroot and whipped goats cheese salad. Light Airy and plush…with a crunch!! Large Crisp pinot Grigio.. and all for 28£ . Value for money cannot be beet!! Get it? Go go go here:)

Nice restaurant serving good hearty food. We had a slight mishap with our vegetarian guest where they served the meat option by mistake however, it was resolved without any fuss.

If I could give it another star I would. Fantastic food and fabulous service. Charlotte is a great asset. She gave us her recommendations as to what to see in Glasgow and she didn’t disappoint. We tried haggis for the first time and got to say it was delicious! The menu was amazing! We both tried something we wouldn’t usually go for and they were delectable! We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Comparing to lovely experience I had in KELP I’m a bit disappointed by its sister restaurant Ardnamurchan. The food is decent but the service almost ruins the night. Ordering a cocktail as pre-starter drink. It never arrives until further reminder after 10 minutes. Finally it arrives at the same time as my food. I actually order a glass of white wine for the food. Not a pleasant start at all.

Really lovely, wholesome food, and good value, especially with the market menu (£23 for three courses pre-6pm), which makes it ideal for a big lunch. The neeps, tatties and haggis was a delicious (and hearty) starter, especially with the whisky sauce; if I had one minor request, it would be to serve just a little more sauce with it. I then had the chicken breast, which was tender and cooked well. The mash was smooth, the carrots were perfect, and the creamy mustard sauce was delicious. Really wish I'd had room for dessert but I don't think I'd have made the train. The staff were friendly and attentive. If I had one complaint, it's that one or two members were a little too eager, and my dining companion felt like he was being rushed to finish his starter. Even so, this is the kind of place I'd happily revisit when I'm next in Glasgow. 4.5/5

Wonderful recommendation by local cousins. Food was fantastic. The squid appetizer was crunchy and tender with a tasty sauce and the accompanying salad was delicious. The lamb shank fell off the bone, no knife needed. Tender and flavorful. The risotto was perfect. The cousins says they're haggis was great, so I'll take their word for it. Great service.

Loved the choice of food, loved the food I chose, loved the warm welcome despite some of our party arriving a little latter than booked, loved the efficient order taking, loved the gap timing between courses, perfect for eating one course, chatting with friends or fam before moving on to the next course, loved the vibe which was a mix of pleasant decor and background music and background chatter from other diners.

Father's day lunch, Scallops, bit on the small side but very tasty. Seafood stew, excellent flavours mopped up with sourdough. Cranachan, wonderful raspberries with oats and cream. The whole meal was delicious.

This is such great place to visit if you are in search of authentic Scottish food in the area. We were warmly welcomed and served by Jean-Marc whom we turned to ask for recommendations. He took time to explain the preparations. The itself was yummy, and big portions. He came back to find out if we liked the food! Great service all round

Nice upscale restaurant and bar. Food was very nice but not over the top for the cost. My wife had the market seafood stew, which was good but under seasoned. Busy place a booking is required

The reviews had me really excited to try this place, but I was disappointed by what I got. Tried 3 different dishes and they were all lackluster. It was loud and took a while to get my food.

They were able to accomodate me despite no reservation placed. I had to eat by the bar but it was fine by me. I tried the cullen skink and it was really good. Tried the whisky for my first time and the staff gave out a nice recommendation for my first time. The place was full of people yet the staff remains professional and nice. Would love to come again and try their other dishes if I come to Scotland again.

I have no idea how I've lived in central Scotland since the late '80's and never been to the top end of Hope St. So glad I made it there with friends from UK and USA at the weekend for a late lunch/early dinner. We had 3 courses and all were absolutely delicious - introducing my American friend to haggis, neeps and tatties and then cranachan was a wonderful experience!

The food service was great, and the venison stew was better than what I expected. One thing- we were seated in front of the bartender for about an hour and didn't see him wash his hands a single time. Even after he dragged a trash can out, he went straight back to making drinks.

You would struggle to find a better deal about than their market menu, £23 for a 3 course meal is a steal & the options available should meet most people's tastes. Great selection of whiskies to go alongside the food too. 4 stars as the Venison was overcooked which was a shame as the other courses I had (Scallops & Sticky Pudding) were delicious.

Highly recommend booking before 6pm in order to receive the market menu which allows for three courses for £22.95 which for the quality of the food is very well priced. This place does Scottish food very proud. Both starters were delicious but especially Ardnamurchan’s own haggis neeps and tatties which was so delicious that I definitely recommend getting as your main in the main dinner menu. The scallops were also very good and tasted very fresh although the portion was a little small. For mains we had the fresh haddock, hand cut chips and tartare sauce which was sensational and definitely a cut above the same item in most places. Equally delicious was the venison stew which tasted very rich and was a perfect serving size, you could really taste the hint of red wine in the sauce. Dessert, there weren’t many choices to choose from but the sticky toffee pudding definitely did not disappoint. Again, a smaller portion but very filling so this did not matter. Service was brilliant, very polite and attendant server and the decor of the place was classy.

The restaurant serves some unique dishes. The venison stew and the sticky toffee pudding are recommended. The atmosphere is fairly quiet and a nice escape from the pubs downtown.

It was a wonderful, culinary perfect evening in a Scottish atmosphere. We had tasty ale and fruity cider, the food was absolutely perfect and at the end there were two delicious whiskey tastings. Definitely happy to come back!

I recently dined at Ardnamurchan Scottish Restaurant and had an exceptional experience. The food was amazing, showcasing genuine good quality and offering excellent value for money. The Picpoul de Pinet was crisp and refreshing, making it the perfect accompaniment to our meal. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed. I highly recommend this gem for a memorable dining experience. Five stars!

We had the market menu. I don't know if it's supposed to be like that but the lamb stovie maybe had 20gr lamb meat in my bowl... Seemed odd but okay, tasted nice sure. Could use more than a small piece of tattie scone with it at least. Steak was pretty good and the sticky toffee pudding was tasty.

Food was great, staff friendly. Thursday night and it was reasonably busy, including a couple of larger groups of which I was one and although not packed the service was slow, rarely asked if we wanted more drinks. Was also hot and a bit stuffy. I would still go back and eat there as the food was lovely.
