The best restaurants in York Yorkshire and The Humber

If i could give zero stars for food...... I would.

Great, relaxed atmosphere. Local beers are well-poured. The smoked meats are super tender and pair well with other dishes. The dishes are generous and perfect for sharing.

Been several times over the past few months, always had great service and even better food. Would definitely recommend

The Black Horse is a nice traditional pub. There are no bar games, but it has several large screen TVs for watching Sport, Premier League football was on when I visited. There is a good selection of draught beers lager and cider, including 3 cask conditioned hand pulled real ales which were in excellent condition when i visited. The pub has a beer garden. I haven't tried the food, so I can't comment. There is live music on at weekends. The pub is dog friendly.

Great venue for live music, saw Franky The Smiths who were excellent. Service at bar was very quick drinks reasonably priced. Atmosphere brilliant. It’s quite small inside so did get very hot towards end of evening. My only gripe is the beer garden could do with TLC very unkempt but the music was the reason we visited so not a big issue.

The Lord Collingwood is a nice village pub. There is a nice selection of cask drinks, including two hand pulled cask conditioned real ales, which were in excellent condition when i visited. There is a tv showing Sky Sports. The pub is very popular for meals. I haven't tried the food, so I can't comment. The staff are very welcoming and the pub is dog friendly.

Just happened to find it near the castle in York. Fantastic food! Home made pasta, fresh sauces and Parmesan. Light pizza base and home made desserts. Best Italian I’ve been in for a very long time

I did the 1.5h Bike love session with Jacob and learnt a lot. They were super helpful, tailored it perfectly to my level and to my needs. Jacob was really friendly, explained things clearly and answered all my questions. I 100% would do again and would reccomend to a friend who is trying to get more comfortable getting to know their own bike and tinkering a bit.

Ordered on Uber Eats and was told 25 minutes. After 50 minutes I have tried calling three times and all they do is hangup after it rings 1-3 times. I have requested numerous updates and nothing has come through. DO NOT ORDER FOOD HERE, CLEARLY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE OR CARE. shameful.

Mix kebab not with the money 4 pieces of chicken to small Kofta and that £17.99 not worth it

Nice food, we just had bacon sandwich (on Haxby sourdough) and coffee. The service was excellent, the young server (lady) was very considerate and detailed without being too fussy. Just the right touch. Pricing is what you’d expect these days, so very reasonable. Highly recommend. Andy YCT
