I popped in for the first time today as I work nearby. Got the shawarma wrap. It was absolutely delicious- packed with flavour, reasonably priced and the staff are lovely.

I took a group of language students here tonight to watch the Liverpool vs Real Madrid game, and we had an absolutely wonderful time. The venue was top-notch, spacious, and set up perfectly for an enjoyable sporting event. The atmosphere was electric with just the right mix of energy and comfort, making it a fantastic place to enjoy a match. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure everything ran smoothly for our group. Special thanks to the manager Lewis, who went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. His friendly demeanor and excellent service truly made the evening even better. I cannot recommend this sports bar highly enough to anyone looking for a great spot to catch a game. I will definitely be visiting again soon.

A traditional family business in Bishopthorpe road, an excellent setting with carpark nearby. Delicious indian food is served by capable staff in light and clean surroundings.

Firstly, the room was freezing cold, and the air conditioner wasn’t working properly. I had to keep turning it on every five minutes, but it remained ineffective. The most annoying part was that in my own room, I had to charge my phone using a power bank because the only outlets near the bed were USB ports. It’s almost 2025—why would they assume every phone still uses a USB charger?

Absolutely appalling. When we arrived, the person at the front desk was quite rude. We left our bags and checked in later that evening. The room smelled of damp, and the bathroom extractor fan made an excruciating high pitched noise whenever the light turned on. When we talked to another employee at the front desk, we were told that all the rooms were like this, he was too new to know the policies and couldn't help arrange anything else, and we could switch rooms if we paid for another room. Why would we pay for a second room if it's also going to be rubbish because all the rooms are like that? We soon left for another hotel, and now Premier Inn won't refund us, not even a partial, despite our not staying in the room for more than an hour. We got one prebooked breakfast refunded, which is a slap in the face after all the nonsense we went through because of the hotel's poor condition and the staff's customer service. This hotel might be less expensive per night than the city center ones, but the commute into town plus the poor condition aren't worth any savings.

booking had been messed up, we had to leave whilst they sorted the room out, room was not restocked with things such as towels or the bathroom toiletries, service by staff was rude and minimal effort was shown by staff to correct issues during our stay. breakfast was cold and not to normal standard of premier inn food.
