The room was a little wonky. Very clean and close to everything. Service in the dining room was great. We will be back.

Stayed here recently for 1 night.arrived at 10.20am as was hoping to pay for early check in like always when iv stayed in premium inns at gatwick.was told by the reception no rooms ready yet and to come back at 11am was able to my bag in storage.arrived back at 11.30am and was no early check in available.we gave up on that idea as we had booked the dungeons up at 3pm but understood that early check in is not always available. Arrived at the hotel later and was on the 3rd floor room was nice and clean and dim lights all on ready for arrival.had a good night's sleep comfy bed cudnt hear any noise.breakfast was in the same building as thought it was into another building for breakfast after reading comments.dining room was nice staff were polite.breakfast was ok only one fault asked if was any bacon left and they brought a fresh tray out but it was stone cold however I did still eat it.id stay here again but it's not as good as gatwick north premium inn that one is still my favourite.checked out at 12 and was able to leave bag in storage untill it was time to get train.

the rooms are incredibly noisy. I stayed for two nights, when trying to sleep on the first night there was constant noise from people moving around (an excessive number of creaking floorboards) and doors without soft closers slamming constantly. Same thing the next morning. I asked to move to a different room, the staff were able to move me to a better room without any fuss, which was great, but the second room was still noisy. It was better in the evening, but there was still lots of noise in the morning.

Tidy and clean rooms very well located, basic but was good enough for our city break. Witherspoons across the road and pub next door, both served breakfast .

The building is old and the rooms are small and full of dirt, which caused me allergies, sneezing and a runny nose. There is no air conditioning and there are small and very large spiders in it and dirt behind the heater. The price is very high and there is no telephone in the room to call the reception. The hotel was changed to another one.

The rooms numbered 3000+ in Blossom Street North are noisy as they are between a pub and the very busy junction for the train station. Bring your ear plugs. Also no lift in this block. Our room also backed onto the air conditioning units for the pub. Closed the windows and mostly ok. Reasonably ok room. Nicely cleaned but tired despite some recent looking refurb of the bathroom. No air con but this wasn't an issue when we stayed. Amazing location for both the train station and town. Would suggest booking Blossom Street South though as it is further away from the noisy junction. Staff were friendly and looked after our bags for us before we checked in.

Excellent location in York. Short walk from train station, Rail Museum, city centre, christmas market etc. Only downside is it was quite dirty outside when we arrived. Several dead rats, open condom packets, other general rubbish. Was tidied up after a few days and some complaints though.

The hotel is located less than a 5 minute walk from the train station, which was ideal for me. And as York is such a small city, it was very easy to walk from the hotel to explore it. My room was very clean and spacious, but it did look its age. It was also very warm in the room, with no way of cooling it down other than to open the window, which you could only open 10cm or so for safety reasons. The weather was wet and cold when I stayed, so the room could be quite unbearably hot in the summer. The little interaction that I had with the staff was good. They were polite and friendly. But I checked myself in and out, so barely needed to speak or see them.

The rooms at this location are more than adequate for the price. They are obviously older than the sister site next door which is the “south” hotel but still absolutely fine. We stayed for breakfast which was also the south hotel and is only a 20 second walk from door to door between hotels. The location is great from York station, just a short walk away.

Great spot to stay when visiting York...very handy for the train station. Great service by staff, especially Helen on reception. She assisted our party of 14 guests admirably.😊

I stayed here with family and a friend and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Each and every aspect of our time here was of the high standard I've come to expect from Premier Inn. Would definitely stay here again

I routinely use Premier Inns for business stays. I do so because normally they are consistent, clean & tidy with good shower and a decent bed to sleep in. I have used York, blossom st North many times over many years. This time my experience was NOT good. The staff as always were great but the room was very poor and tired . 1. The toilet was not properly cleaned 2. The toilet seat was loose and moved about 3. The bed was two singles pushed together, one mattress of which was so tired it sloped so it couldn’t be slept on 4. Only 2 pillows were available one of which was so lacking in padding and so floppy it was useless. 5. The contamination round the head of the soap pump bottle was frankly disgusting. These matters should have been picked up by room servicing and maintenance but clearly have not been. This is not the standard I expect from Premier Inns . Please put it right. I will be back again later in the year and I will be interested to see if things have been improved .

4th time we have visited with kids. The room rate was excellent value as it was not half term for local schools. The location is excellent. Breakfast location only 2 minutes away from blossom north. Only issue is this time for first day we had to to park in the NCP which is around the corner (4 minute walk away)as car park was full. Will return again next year

You know what you are getting with a Premier and this was no exception. Car parking is a bit of a mission. We used the long stay at York Station, it is no further to walk from the NCP they suggested and was slightly cheaper! Food was fine, room was great but as always, staff were excellent! Well done Premier York.

Not a boutique hotel, it's a guest house at a push. Beds dipping and offering no support, no offer of a traditional breakfast & certainly not cheap. Finish not good, door sticking, asked for a room with a view, given a building site view. Angel was lovely and helpful. Perfectly located & that's it. 😞 would definately visit York again but this place needs some attention & thought.

Lovely park, well looked after, close to the city but nice place to get away. Can combine with a nice stroll along the river.

Surprising and happy find. Looking for a curry near our bnb we cane across Woodthorpe Spice. We had the Prawn Patia and Samosas for a starter - both excellent, the prawns in particular - followed by Nawabi Lamb and Tangail Lamb. These mains were really well spiced, very tasty and highly recommended. If we lived nearby, I would work through the entire menu - everything looks good and are all so well described.
