Deniz Best Kebab in York

I've been getting food from Deniz for 20 years now. If that's not a recommendation I don't know what is. BEST KEBAB

Deniz is in fact the best kebab. Best quality AND best value.

Burger was really good. Staff were very friendly and professional even when me and my travel companion were a bit worse for wear.

Scam prices. Enjoy your lack of burger sauce and mayo.

Never ate from here before, ordered a mix kebab and coke, gave the coke for free and the kebab was lovely, would definitely recommend!

The BEST Kebab van in york. Everyone who works there are some of the loveliest people ever, and the food is exactly what you need for exactly the right price after a good night out. Better than Okis, way better than efes (horrible). Go to Deniz every time!

Was my go to when staying in York. Loved it. Perfect doner, really good prices and if you've been out for a drink (or 5) then you honestly can't beat a kebab from here when on the way home. We called it York Kebab and no idea why. It may as well be though, cos it's a cracking kebab and definitely the best in York!

Got scammed for 12.50 when I bought 4 pound cheesy chips. Make sure you don't blindly pay for what you get. They will scam you

Expected more given its ratings however really disappointed. Simple donner kebab not done well. Meat was really dry, the mind yogurt sauce was too much like just natural yogurt and had a very bitter aftertaste and pitta bread was stale and crumbly. On the positive side the service was quick and extremely friendly.

I was definitely sloshed when I ate here and it was years ago but I remember it so clearly, it was really that good. Probably the best kebab I've ever had. Came with 🌶 chilli sauce and white sauce and was just flat out top shelf bab. 10/10.

The deniz truck is here everyday from 8 pm to 4 am. The best take away chips and cheese 🍟

I asked for just donner meat and wasn't given anything close to what I asked for I told clearly what I wanted and was given completely different

Got a Donner Meat and Chips last night. It was delicious, excellent value for money and a very friendly service from the woman that served me.

This place served me probably the best chicken kebab I’ve ever eaten and I was sober when I ate it! Delicious chicken with cold crispy salad and nice friendly owners! Top marks from me!!!! Well done guys!!!

Large lamb donor very good as was the chicken wrap.

Worth the price. Bought the meat and chips for 7£, and for me its a 2-person serving. Tasted delicious also! Only hope that they not too stingy on giving the sauce

Had a magnificent chicken kebab from this wonderful gentleman. One of the best I think I've ever had. Beautiful meat, excellent flavour, great chilli sauce, just perfect. And absolutely banging tunes while the food was expertly prepared. Thank you my friend!

I liked the food enough but the male worker was very unhelpful. I asked what sauces were available for the kebabs and he was very unfriendly. There was no queue so he wasn’t busy. He was just waiting for a customer when I arrived. I wish I hadn’t gone to this place. I ate my kebab on a bench close by with a friend. After eating I told him the food was good, but he couldn’t even lift his head to acknowledge me. He just grunted “yeah”. My friend thought he needed a new job. He gets the prize for the rudest person during my whole month vacation in Europe.

Andre was fabulous, brilliant customer service. Great cheese burger and chips. Been numerous times for several burgers amongst the years, and thoroughly impressed. Thanks an great after drinks meal.

Compared to York kebab shops this is cheaper with a more limited selection. I had the doner. It was ok but I'm probably not rushing back.

They do probably the best kebab in York, and they have lovely stuff as well. Definitely recommend !!!!

They have lovely kebabs, the best chilli sauce ever and loads of anything you want, like cabbage😃 Great staff always too.
