One of the worst sunday lunches ever cold meat and veg burnt Yorkshire pudding sent it back to get warmed up came back couple minutes later still with the burnt Yorkshire pudding which was now like a rock not big or even medium portions found it expensive as were the drinks staff need to be trained in hygiene as every waiter and waitress were stroking customers dogs no apologies from waiting staff or management

A Tuesday lunch time so only 2 other people in. The staff were friendly and attentive, but unfortunately the food was disappointing. The two chicken skewers were OK but there wasn’t much chicken likewise the salad. The flatbread was hard and only minimal fries. Not worth almost £19. The beef in the steak sandwich was gristly but the chips were good and the fish in the sandwich was greasy. Would I return- probably not.

I live in Tadcaster but won't rush back, it is such a shame as this pub has everything apart from leadership and direction. Loads of staff for the amount of customers however they aren't organised, for example the bar guy was making cocktails delivering them to the table and then waiting on with food...the other staff are like headless chickens. There is a massive issue with the extraction system in the kitchen, the pub was full of acrid blue smoke which in my opinion constitutes a H&S hazard for staff and customers. We had to leave after one drink because it was so uncomfortable.

Our recent experience at the Coppergate Nero outlet this evening at approximately 6:30 PM was deeply concerning and has unfortunately led us to reconsider our future visits. We ordered a babyccino and an Italian cream bun. Surprisingly, the barista on duty appeared to be unaware that a babyccino should be served at a significantly lower temperature than standard hot beverages. The babyccino was served at a scalding temperature, resulting in our two-year-old child burning her mouth. This was an extremely distressing experience for our family. What was worse was the non-chalant behaviour of the same barista when we gave him the feedback on this. No courtesy to apologise and they even made us buy the water when we were in a hurry to get some to calm our toddler down. As previous regular visitors, we have generally been satisfied with the service provided by your past baristas. However, this incident has raised concerns about the current level of training and understanding regarding the preparation of drinks for young children. Due to the distress caused and the potential harm to our child, we will unfortunately not be returning to your coffee shop.

First time here for takeaway, salt and pepper spare ribs were good but mains of satay chicken and satay beef were awful. Thin watery sauce and tasteless meat. Hope they do better next time if there is one.

Have been to this venue a few times but to a music night but did not realise they do a Sunday carvery. Met a friend and decided to try it. The car park was packed, we had luckily booked a table as both the bar and the main room looked full, you could eat in both places. We were shown to our seat and had to go and order and pay for our carvery and drinks at the bar. The standard carvery was £14.95 and small was £12-50 ,there was a veggie and child choice. We had one of each. You then had to queue for the carvery which took about 10 minutes. Wow what a choice , 5 different meats gammon, beef , turkey , pork even liver and onion and steak pie . You were given a large portion of meat, then helped yourself to the rest, and there was Everything you could think of on a carvery , every potato, every vegetable. When you got to the end you could take a jug of hot tasty gravy. The whole lunch was delicious and the small plate was perfect as my friend who got the standard could not eat it all. We were too full for a desert which were £6-95 each, but the people next to us did and they looked magnificent, the chocolate fudge cake was sprinkled with white chocolate flakes and a jug of cream. One of the best carvery’s i have ever had , we will be back .
