Stay clear! This place used to be an absolute gem, but recently it's gone down hill massively. The pizza we ordered was undercooked, and they put so much BBQ sauce on, it was a sloppy mess. The toppings were as dry as a bone! We also spent the days that followed with upset stomachs... I'm not saying we caught anything from here, but it's too much of a coincidence. Also, their food hygiene score is now a 2! Something is going wrong here and if they don't sort it, they will lose more and more customers.

we usually go to pizza king however after today i do not think we will go back. Our order arrived on time however, our drinks we had ordered were out of date by over a year! we had ordered a pizza and the toppings were not spread out across the pizza and just in one area, the chips were soggy. The burger was not the greatest and overall we are very disappointed

We had a good time at the George. we came back because the first time everything was fantastic but this time our electricity when out. We asked a member of staff to sort the electricity out which was forgotten about until we came back 5 hours later walking into our room still in the dark. When I came back down the manager apologised and gave us drinks on the house which was lovely of her while she fixed the situation in our room. We also put the door sign out saying clean our room Which never got done. All together it's an okay place to stay if staying in Selby

No frills hotel at the end of an industrial estate.Room clean but no soap in the soap dispenser, which was not a promising start. Lots of what guest conduct the hotel expects in the room info pack, which doesn't instil confidence. Restaurant attached, half empty with stained seats. My Lebanese Chicken Kebab was good and very refreshing to stay somewhere, where the mark up on wine was minimal.Emma was nice and had a good attitude, and without talking to her it might have been a fairly depressing experience. Breakfast was OK.

We visited for an order and collected it on Saturday . EVERYTHING was excellent in every way . From the man on the desk taking the orders to the pizza chefs and all the staff . The food was absolutely delicious and presented really well . The chicken was really well cooked and tasty and the pizzas looked and tasted really good . The whole family enjoyed their pizza and kebabs and I rang up Pizza Thyme to tell them this . Gamal will be sadly missed but we will stay loyal customers and he’ll be proud of you all carrying on such a wonderful takeaway

Having lived in hensall for some 10 years which is a stones throw from Eggborough and this fish shop this has been my go to source for fish and chips. I note a couple of poor reviews and cannot make sense of them as they bear no resemblance to the place and service I’ve come to expect. I rate these products as probably the best I’ve ever had and I’m 63 . The size of the portions is superb… if I had any criticism it would be that what was once a cheap tea for the family is not that cheap anymore. But the stuff is cooked fresh in front of you. Literally the fish are cooked to order as you enter. I cannot explain others poor experience but belive me in the years we have used this place it has never disappointed me once and long may it continue to do so! Ian

Err nasty Slug trails on the floor, one way system due to Covid but not enforced because of lack of lighting in the rear area. Soft drinks served in alcohol smelling glasses The list is probably endless. Not great at all, and please stay off the moors....

Quick stop for a small bite and sorry looked great with all the memorabilia but food was terrible. Ok wait time but 2 sausage sarnies consisted of cheap horrible sausage very badly burnt. The 1 point on the review was for the location. Wouldnt advise eating really.

Shocked beyond belief of how standards can plummet from the last time we dined here. In a nutshell: poor selection on the menu. We chose a cheeseburger in the absence of anything else hot that seemed appropriate. The drinks were delivered as cans without tumblers. The tables weren't wiped. We waited for 30minutes, no food on the horizon (not busy as we saw one order delivered in that time). When politely mentioned it mysteriously appeared 5 minutes later virtually uncooked, pale insipid bargain basement carpet-burgers. Less than luke warm. The cheese hadn't even begun to melt next to the burger. The 'meal' was advertised coming with a salad and chips. The salad was two wafer thin slices of tomato and less than an eggcupful of bland lettuce under the burger making the bread wet. We were given a lecture by the server who we questioned about the absence of our order. She went to great lengths to explain that all the food was made in-house fresh each day and was of the highest quality. And that they were at the top of their game with respect to hygiene and food safety. Difficult to swallow from the evidence presented to us. The only decent thing that server did was to offer up the cost of part of the burger meal, presumably knocking off the price of the chips. We certainly will never return. And would recommend the cafe just down the road as they cooked their food. Yours A sadly disappointed and disgusted customer.
