Poor food preparation not the best staff. Not open to complaints and not welcoming 😞 went to have lunch with my family to find food looking like it came straight from a frozen and not prepared properly pound shop. The staff I spock to where loud and not willing to listen. Maybe on the reasonable side as far as pricing but you get what you pay for.

I’ve been a few times and unfortunately the standard has deteriorated and the price increased. Two breakfast items that are overpriced having had them both are the pancakes, £7 for shop bought and a few small rashers of bacon, and the Breakfast Bap at £6-7 which is massively overpriced. The large breakfast at £9 should perhaps come with a a tea to make it more appealing. Hot drinks overpriced imo also. Nice setting and clean.

Popped in for a bite of lunch, with my brother who was in a wheel chair. Straightforward, tasty lovely good value food. What struck me most was the friendliness of the staff, and the lovely atmosphere/ambience with lots of comings and goings for us to watch during our 2 hour visit. Thankyou! It was simply lovely!

We have been a few times, and while the pricing is much nicer of food compared to the Motorist next door, there are a few niggling things. Staff should be taught how to wait a table. They come half way through eating and take away plates. They will bring two orders, and while the others eat, two of us are kept waiting... and waiting.... (their food was going cold). The salad we were given was brown, and the cheese was the pre-grated cheese that had absolutely no taste at all. The tables are not wiped in between customers coming in, and their young staff need to be taught how to deal with customers. They also never have enough condiments and knives and forks. They do on a positive note do a good sunday lunch and full english breakfast. Careful if you book for the sunday lunch. you end up in the prefab bit with staff and customers talking over your head.. its like youre in a corridor. Plus the lady who serves is excellent at vanishing when youre ready for your second course!

Waited 15 mins to be served the two people were really slow behind the counter with a can’t be bothered attitude ask for full English told not serving it because it was lunchtime but the menu was on our table which wasn’t cleaned so decided to leave because the lunch menu was sparse, press button coffee machine and tea was mugs with a teabag in the mug no teapots

Food was absolutely amazing ! Complements to the kitchen. The kiddy picnic was such a fab idea ! One thing we were very concerned over was a member of staff we saw at the bar getting a pims- which we saw getting made. It had alcohol in it, when she was working. She was serving customers after she’d had it so knew she was still at work.

DO NOT BOOK A PARTY HERE!!! Absolute disgrace! Children weren’t fed, two young girls left in charge who were absolutely clueless, asked about party games (which we paid for!) and they never happened, no balloons, the cake came out AFTER the party should have ended and we were left in the dark, party boxes weren’t even made up until after people had left so only about 6 were given out of 30 kids, jugs of juice spilled on tablecloths and we cleaned them up and asked for more several times and the manager brought them and dumped them on top of a toy machine AFTER they had started to bring food out, so we had to try put them out. Absolute shambles! Manager was apologetic at the time, advised he would try get head office to issue a refund because he knew it was a complete mess from start to finish. He never called me back and I’ve spent the last week trying to get hold of him, only for him to claim that he had investigated and found that there weren’t enough parents per child (complete lie, there were almost as many adults as children!), that the girls were asking to do party games (lie again! We were asking about them and they said they could bring food out first and they took about an hour to get the food out and people still didn’t get fed!), they blamed the jug of juice going over on an autistic little boy being left unsupervised - again this is a lie!! He said that he had reviewed the CCTV footage, which I also know must be a lie because he would have seen exactly what was going on, me getting stressed and upset, asking staff several times for the kids to have their food etc! He basically told me that the complaint was lies but I literally spoke to him on the day and I shall be informing every parent and asking them to leave a review! Photo of how many kids were left when the cake finally came out after 12 when the party should have ended!

After visiting with a friend in the summer, we thought we had found a quiet relaxing tea room to take my parents for breakfast/lunch for regular weekly visits. Not being far from home the location was perfect. However on the third visit we found that this tearoom allows dogs inside the tearoom regardless of size or number! No separation from other customers. If you are happy sat next to noisy barking, slavering large hairy creatures sprawled out all over the floor, then this place is ideal for you! For anyone wanting to enjoy a quiet relaxing lunch think again! Not only are dogs sprawled all over the floors a tripping hazard, the staff are touching, stroking and paying more attention to the animals than they are taking customers orders! On each occasion the doors onto the terrace have also been opened to get rid of the smoky atmosphere from the sandwich toaster - not ideal on chilly days when the draft comes through, while eating your meal but then again it does help with the smell of dogs! Unfortunately not for us, we will go elsewhere, dog free or at least where dogs are separated and customers have priority!

Never before have I seen such a large selection of plants and flowers and gardening equipment. Well worth a visit with a restaurant/cafe as well.

Called to make a reservation, but got an answer machine saying they must be too busy to answer the phone... so we called in on spec on a Friday night for a meal (as staying at a local'ish hotel), and the place was in darkness, so presumably closed for good?
