always liked the food from here, and its good to see they still use CASH.

What the hell is this? Awful awful awful, the kebab Is dry, hard, cold and looks like it's been reheated won't be buying one of them again, should not be selling it like that. Had to eat the little bit of good meat, disgusting food service. Loved paying £8.00 for a bit of salad.

Normally I go into the store and the food is excellent and so is the service from both the guys taking the orders and the kitchen staff But this one time I decided to order online it took over an hour and an half the same time as a football game mind you it was a Saturday but still it shouldn’t have taken that long The food was warm too

Waited over 2 hours for my food for it to not turn up I am not happy and I certainly won’t be using this place again to order. .

Terrible experience waited 1 hour 25 mins rang to ask where my food was.they,d been to the wrong address.so by the time we got the food it was cold total cost £30 for cold food never again.

Called here tonight for a Sicilian pizza. Young man on the counter offered amazing customer service. 10 Minutes later I was on my way home with a delicious pizza! Amazing food with great customer service...what more could you ask for? Customer service: 10/10 Choice on menu: 10/10 Quality of food: 10/10 Well done!

Decent takeaway, food was tasty and hot BUT messed up various parts of most of the order, went back to rectify some but didn't have time to sort all, missed sides and sauces, one was the wrong order, suggest a full check on receipt

Called to enquire why my delivery time had increased to over 2 hours to be told they were cancelling my order. The bloke on the phone was pig rude. Dodge this place of you're hungry or don't like wasting time.

Absolute joke of a company they advertise delivery to our area let the payment go through and send a text to say it’s too far away, when I called them to find out why the extremely rude member of staff was horrible, I would not recommend this take away ever! There are many more out there who do appreciate your business.

We ordered our food and waited an hour and a half to get it and for it to be stone cold. We called up and whoever was on the phone asked us “what he wanted us to do about it” and when food got delivered the burger came burnt. We spend money here every week, don’t think we will again.

My go-to take away. Excellent pizzas and burgers, I don't go anywhere else.

Back in day yeah me and lads up town after playing football absoloute boss takeaway and never let down. Nice hot food that could be eaten in someones parents bush.

Think they flew the pizza over from Italy it took that long. The lady we dealt with over the phone was very lovely and understanding but sounds like the management didn't have a clue. We order every week but probably won't again, 3 hours for one pizza is crazy

I'm here on holiday for a few days. It's rare to find a deep pan pizza option .... Deep pans are my favourite. My pizza was delicious, as were the others we ordered. Arrived piping hot and delivered EXTREMELY quickly. 15 minutes after the shop opened. I will definitely be ordering again next time I'm down. To all the staff ...... Thank you.

PRC PLEX ROOFING CONTACTORS BURGER. we work hard and need substance at the end of the day. PRC BURGER - beef, chicken, bacon and doner. Plus small pizza work hard 👍need to eat well. Great food at great price. Seen other post about times for delivery I asked them to deliver in a hour when I got home and timing was spot on.

grim. pizza’s toppings all slid to one side like it’d been held vertically for some reason. base was doughy like it hadn’t been cooked long enough. don’t bother.

25 minutes late call up and don’t have a clue what’s going on with your order very poor customer service 2 hours for a pizza altogether

2 hours waiting for delivery, food was swimming in grease and the boxes and bags were nearly falling apart from how wet they were, and we had food missing, won’t be ordering from these again!

The food is generally ok, what you would expect from a local takeaway, the chips are quite nice. However an estimated 2 hour delivery time is not good enough, especially when after phoning up to ask it became a 3 hour delivery time. The person over the phone was polite and apologetic but a 3 hour delivery time for a local takeaway is inexcusable and no compensation of any sort was offered.

What a joke for the price. I'd order from elsewhere if you want to eat a decent sized meal. £4.50 for chips and cheese that looked like they had been half eaten and they had fished them out the bin to reuse. Hardly any cheese and a handful of chips. All food was cold and took over 30 mins past delivery time which was already 45mins! Couldn't even eat half the food it was that bad.

Horrible service!!! Over 2 hours wait for an order. All they do is lie that your order will be with you shortly but they haven't even started prepping it in the kitchen. Never again

Cold food. Got order wrong, large mixed doner/chicken kebab and chip, Came with no chicken and was same size as a kids meal also ordered. No free garlic bread cheese as requested. Offered to bring chicken meat and garlic bread. Waited 45 mins for rest of order to be delivered. Not worth £35

Ordered a takeaway from Pizza King on Sunday and had a generally unpleasant experience. We ordered a Meat Feast meal deal and found a bug in the dough of the pizza. We rang to complain about the order and was offered another meal in replacement. Instead of another pizza meal, we ordered a burger meal as we were put off by the situation with the pizza. However, we expected the £5 difference in price between the burger meal deal and the pizza meal deal to be refunded, however the unpleasant and unhelpful manager didn’t accept this. He refused to acknowledge the problem with a bug in a pizza, and expected us to eat the bug contaminated pizza and the burger as well, expecting us to be grateful as we were getting a ‘free burger’. The rude manager refused to help us and didn’t offer a refund of any kind, even the difference in price we rightfully deserved. We as a group work in hospitality and have a high level of experience in the area so we understand how mistakes and mishaps happen, our issue wasn’t with this, but simply the way we were treated as to be lying and expecting of more than we deserved. However, we would like to thank the driver for his patience, as we know that this wasn’t his mistake, and how he has taken the time out of his night, with us being his last order, to bring us a replacement order. Very disappointed, and you have lost another loyal customer

Chips came cold.Tasted like old chips warmed up badly was cold when arrived Tasted awful. Burger was fine but tepid. Didn't know my daughter was ordering from here. I've had much better Other places sell fresh lovely tasting chips not limp and lifeless.

About the person taking orders. the person answering the phone at pizza king in Selby is not polite and lies to the customers, the food was good but the waiting time was double what it said when ordering..

Ordered at 18:15 by phone call. 3 items, 1 pizza, 1 burger, and 1 large cheesy chips. 19:15, called up and asked where our order was, "it is on its way, will be with you soon". 20:15, still no delivery, call back up. "Your order is on its way" both times in a fairly unreasonable manner. 21:15, just about to call up and hear a knock at the door. 3 hours to get a takeaway that is mean to be fast ish food. The Burger didn't have chicken tikka on as requested, large cheese and chips are not large at all, as well as being cold, the only OK thing about the order is the pizza. After ringing up to complain, I am asked to repeat myself again and then the next words they have to say "I don't see how I've spoken rudely", he checks with what they can do and it's just an offer of a free pizza, it's been our first time ordering and weather or not we take that free pizza is upon us as would have to wait another 3 hours.

We usually order from here and have no issues but tonight was disappointing. This is how our pizzas turned up... They had clearly been dropped on the floor and still sent out. All the cheese had stuck to the box lid and it was such a mess.

2 hours and 20 minutes delivery time! 80mins was expected, after several fobbed off phone calls it arrived, cold, sweaty and one of the worst kebabs I’ve had. Not a take away in Selby I will ever order from again.

ordered tonight online said a hour for delivery hour and half later I ring to see when it is ....got told what do I want him to do its going to be another 15 to 20 minutes I explained that If it says a hour you expect it within the hour give or take 10 mins but nearly 2 hours later is a joke ... very rude on phone when speaking then hung up when I rang back to cancel..... normally lovely food just wish they would give proper delivery times to people that way we can choose weather to order from else where .

Food decent been ordering for a while now but wont anymore. Ordered chill burger off there website, doesnt say anything about cheese been on it but I came with cheese, I rang up as I cant eat cheese due to an allergy they wasnt arsed, said if I want a new one I have to pay, wont order again.

Lovely pizza but missed my tomato that I paid extra for then when I let them know they assured me it was made correctly despite my having photo evidence the tomato was missing. Chips taste a bit crunchy/ stale which is unfortunate....fast delivery.

In shop purchase tonight - mixed kebab chicken and done, drove home and opened to find bone dry chicken scraps (posted the photos on fbook) and no doner meat. Called the shop to state this(staff very polite) but basically not going to do anything about it...

Shocking, food was cold, orders were wrong! We ordered 2 mixed donners but 2 lamb donners turned up, meat was cold, pita was hard and dry. Shame because we've had good food from there before but the last few have had issues so that's the last time we order from them. It's obviously gone downhill.

Should not be on Just Eat as they accept then cancel your order every time if they are busy - pointless

I look after a person with mental health issues i ordered food at 21.15 and pizza king will deliver in 45 min so the person aaked me how long so i saud 45mins and he come at 22.30 and the person i care for had a go at the drver. Because tge deverry driver bullied the lad with mental health issues

If I could leave 0 starts for this Takeaway then I sure would, I ordered from here tonight and the quality of the food was poor/miserable, Food arrived cold which I complained about & Pizza King didn’t want to know once they grabbed your money! I advise not to order from this takeaway unless everywhere else is closed!

This is twice I've ordered from here, the pizzas barely have any tomato base, might as well ordered cheese and bread, should of learnt from last time.

Placed an order through Just Eat. Pizza King offereing delivery with a charge. Only 3.7 miles away. Just Eats takes money and then Pizza King cancels order. Yet they are advertising they do delivery. Complete rubbish service. Just Eat must make their money on customers interest from banked money, they say it will take around a week to get your money paid back to you. Customer service not to be trusted.

Never had a problem with food quality, collection orders are usually ontime, order through there own website pizzakingselby.com for a 15% discount, but beware the website will say 45mins for delivery... This is near always 95mins+!!! We have ordered several meals for delivery and when ring to find out where it is "your order is just goin in the oven now we are busy" is the reply we get, we wouldn't mind if when ordering it said 95mins delivery time not 45!!

Donner meat is too slimy and burger is way to under cooked/ thin

I’ve ordered here many times, and always through Just Eat. It always takes them longer to deliver then it says in your confirmation email. I’d say usually 1-1:30 hours. But doesn’t matter if you know that as you can work it into your plan, food has always been very nice.

Ordered via Just Eat at 8pm, 9pm I get a text to advise it’s on its way and 10pm still no delivery so I called to enquire and the lady advised it would be another half an hour with no apologises so I politely asked if I could cancel as it’s too late for me, the lady said yes with no apology and put the phone down on me! I understand that these are super busy times for them hence why I cancelled but I would still expect some level of customer service! Always order from them but tonight I have really been put off! This is not the first time I’ve had an issue however I have always given Pizza King the benefit of the doubt..

We have constant issues when we order from here, we received the wrong order, waited a further 25 minutes for the replacement for them to provide the wrong order AGAIN!? When we called again they wanted nothing to do with us and told us they wouldn’t give us a refund. This is the third time we had issues with incorrect orders from here.

Friendly staff good customer service. Really nice kebabs. Will use again and highly recommend.

Pizza that fills the box, what's not to like? Always quick service and delivery too.

Best place in town to get a donner pizza from in my opinion. Although the toppings are a little on the light side, I always get extra kebab meat and additional mushrooms to take me back to the 90s when town pizzas were at there best.

Can't give a zero rating but believe me I would if I could. Just ordered just short of £50 worth of food and specifically asked for "no cheese". Guess what, yeah you guessed it, it was plastered in cheese. Now if this was allergy and not dislike, Pizza King could be looking at being sued for death over an anaphylactic shock. Absolute disgusting service. Sod all of an apology. Will not be using this restaurant again and certainly won't be recommending it. If you have allergies stay away, if not good luck.

Appalling!!! Almost 2 hours from order to delivery and several phone calls to inept staff who haven't got a clue!!!! This is the 2nd time this has happened. We used "Just eat", which has previously taken us to Howden Pizza King, who we couldn't fault!!! Now we cant use them through "just eat"and are directed to selby. Cold pizza and terrible service. We won't use them again. 1 star is too good!!!!

Ordered food which I order the same pizza every single Sunday week in week out I understand that they are busy but food was delivered 40 mins late and was cold and I mean stone cold it wasn’t even edible So I rang the restaurant to tell them and I was offered £3 off my next order which is no use because I won’t be ordering again Gone down hill in the last 3 months

Order from Pizza King aaaaaaall the time. It's my go-to takeaway! Ordered a De-Lux burger and a pepperoni pizza with extra pepperoni (what? I like pepperoni..!) food tasted really good, got here within an hour, nice polite pizza boy, only drawback? WHERES MY EXTRA PEPPERONI?!?!? If it wasn't for the fact I didn't get my extra pepperoni, I'd of given 5 stars. Best I can do is 3! But if you don't want extra pepperoni then this place is unbeatable!!!

Placed an order through their own website with delivery expected within 45 -60 minutes as indicated on the confirmation. One hour and 45 minutes later called to chase and could hear the guy in the background saying "tell them it's on its way". Ten minutes after calling the food arrived so nearly two hours. Of course sometimes it will be busy but change the quoted times on your site or lose custom. Shame as the food was good but took too long.

This is a great takeaway, good variety of dishes. Love the square pizzas! Burgers are always nice, with fresh toppings. Always go here now for pizza. The jalepeno crunch are amazing!

No matter what you buy, it is always nice. Tried a variety of different things ranging from kebabs to pizzas and they're always good. Square pizzas are definitely the right move forward and this place is always my first thought if I fancy a takeaway!

Good fresh pizza(and square) meat greasy was brimming kids pizza was plentiful any orders I've £20 gets free juice or garlic bread friendly staff ( free lolly pop for the kids) and very reasonable thanks

Never used a pizza place in Selby for years and have to say the quality of food here was amazing our order was for pizza, burger, and chicken it's was all very good quality and I would definitely use again

I will never eat here again ad food order at 8pm today I was told it would be 45 min I rang back at 9pm and the girl told me it would be at least 30 min more I said forget it she said ok bye-bye no I am sorry or any thing avoid like the plague
