Called in last weekend to watch the excellent stunt bike show. Grabbed a meal and a hot chocolate whilst there. Excellent value. Very tasty large meal...didn't have to eat til next morning. Can't wait for an excuse to return.

Don't be fooled by the photograph, this 'campsite' is a dump. Even if, like us, you are just stopping for the night to break your journey, find somewhere else. I would emphasize at this point that the staff we dealt were as helpful as possible. It was chaotic on arrival, we couldn't even get through the barrier for 25 minutes. Inside, it quickly became clear that this is a touring campsite in name only. I would guess that 2/3 of the vans there were permanent residences, some very scruffy indeed, it had the air of an encampment of Travelling People. The toilets/ showers were quite filthy, we would have paid the £1 token not to use the showers. The grass had been cut but left to mulch so any venture outside brought grass and dirt back into our van. There must be a level crossing nearby because every passing train blew it's horn, stopping after about 10.00pm and restarting at 6.00am. In the morning, due to a shortage of gate entry cards we had to quickly follow another van under the barrier rather than wait for the office to open. The cost of our stay including hookup was, wait for it, £27.00

I visit the cafe regularly and always order food. Always been happy with the service and food, however I visited on Monday 12th August and ordered the chicken tikka masala, it took over 30 minutes to arrive the chips looked like they had Bern refried. The chicken tikka portion was the size of a child's meal and it had no naan bread. When I mentioned this the one of the waitresses she told the young lad that had prepared the meal and his attitude absolutely stunk. He stormed off in to the kitchen making it quite clear he didn't want to doo it then returned 30 seconds later saying there was no nanny bread left. I then asked if I could have ab alternative and just got stared at gormless. Never again will I order a meal from there again after that experience.

Booked through Searchforsites and the stay was not the best. Parked our Motorhome in an area of permanent residents and felt we were intruding on their community. Toilets were average - showers on timers. Close to a busy train line and main road, not the most restful place when the bar turns disco! I am sure it suites some but just not us.

Food was shockingly bad. Been here many times over the years, 1st visit this year, 1pm visit, ordered a chicken burger with chips, after 1 bite of the burger it went straight in the bin, it was just mushed up chicken wrapped in batter, taste and texture was appalling, worst I've ever tasted. Had half the chips next and they went in the bin as well, can't believe how bad they were, not sure how bad anyone can totally mess up cooking chips. Still a great place for a bike meet, but don't touch the food. I only very rarely leave reviews and feedback but felt compelled to worn others today.

Stayed here over the bank holiday weekend on the van pitches. The palce is very busy and a great place for bikers to meet up. But, the cafe/pub is very dated, dirty and the food is very poor rubbish tbh. 2 meals of the same size ordered one served on a normal sized paper plate and the other served on a tiny paper plate, food therefore placed on top of the chips. toilets dirty and stink of urine. with the amount of custom it gets no money is invested back into the property and the condition is poor the food is rubbish quality and the service is poor.

Interesting place. Lots of bikes even during the week in the summer. Big parking area. Designed to cope with big numbers. Offers breakfasts, burgers and specials typical of pub food. Table food delivery and inside and outside seating. Food quality is OK, portions are OK sized. Quality is a bit rough and ready and so slightly overpriced I felt. So not a culinary destination more an interesting destination. Other biker meet venues have gone for more modern food styles and kept prices a little more treasonable I feel. Staff were welcoming and friendly and the place had a great vibe from other customers as well. Worth a visit if you’re a petrol head or into bikes and are looking for a pitstop on your journey of ride out. Not really a destination for modern foodies or those looking for real value for money.

Went for tea tonight, it's a good place to meet up, but the food is now very expensive, and not great for the money. Tasteless burgers and not much food really, very expensive for the amount of food on a plate. Squires use to be pretty cheap to have tea out at. But there are other places closer which offer better food and for less money. Whether Brexit or the Pandemic has changed the prices, who knows, all I know is, I won't be getting my tea here again.

This is possibly the 'easiest' place to stay with a motorhome/caravan. It's our 3rd stay and we will be back soon. Yes, it is definitely cheap and cheerful with basic meals at very reasonable prices. The breakfasts are as good as you will get anywhere and the burgers are definitely worth trying. The bar/cafe is extremely clean (which we didn't expect) and the owners and staff are welcoming and helpful making you feel at home straight away (no bossing around as on so many sites ) I find it hard to see why there are negative reviews, The toilet blocks/showers are basic but very clean. Yes, there are noisy trains but hey, there's a railway line right there? We absolutely love it here and we are NOT bikers (but we were definitely made welcome by the bikers and car groups as well. They even welcomed our three oversized dogs. Admittedly there's not too much for kids to do but endless fields provide a freedom to run around and the amazing array of bikes is a spectacle for any child (or adult). For dog owners you can even book a private 'dog-field' which is just like an adventure playground for dogs. Our three just loved it The negatives are obvious before you book .. next to a trainline and there's motorbikes?

Went for Sunday dinner with family and friends. Disappointed as I had heard some good reviews. The food was bland, the meats were over cooked and the roast potatoes were clearly dropped in a deep fat fryer rather than done in an oven. The staff were all young and clearly inexperienced with no clear manager taking charge. A little organisation from a hands on manager could sort the staff. This has potential but for me I won’t be going back in a hurry, maybe try again in a few months.

If it was not for the large, bike friendly, car park this cafe would not be in business! The food is cheap and mediocre, the customer service is appalling but the carpark is great for bikers. The atmosphere is great outside but the owners have created a customer service dead spot off the back of it. Girls behind the counter have fallen into the habit of talking to customers like they're cattle, snappy "what d'ya want? you need a table! Next!" attitude and dispassionate. They're selling cheap, crap food in ways that designed for speed rather than customer satisfaction. There are better bike haunts than this, with better food and employees that actually want to serve you!

This place is amazing and awful at the same time.If you are a biker or love bikes it is a place to go... amazing atmosphere with dozens and dozens of bikers.Friendly staff, always with a smile! That is it... the good points.Food is very basic and bad, breakfast is bellow motorway service standards... how difficult is to serve a nice sausage, nice beans and tomato? Caned tomato and very bad quality one... my breakfast was like tomato soup with a floating sausage. The cafe is not very cleaned... I can understand end of the day serving hundreds of people but at 8am??? Floor was not clean, tables looked cleaned but were sticky...The camping site is more a parking lot with some tents around, cars use the site as they wish in between tents and is not safe for kids. The smell.... the smell... what is that??? It just stinks... we believe that there is a open pit and the smell is just impossible. There is a train line that runs along the camp site, literally meters away.A main road doesn’t help either.Toilets were ok but need an upgrade. We stayed one night and got away as quick as possible next morning. Please sort out the open pit... I believe that is not just uncomfortable because the smell but it might be an health problem. It is a shame... such reputation and is so bad managed.

Then there is Cumberland sausage served in giant Yorkshire puds, and other meals, this sausage has no taste at all, its like chewing sawdust. We've been here a few times, I myself used to frequent the ORIGINAL Milk Bar when it was on the main street in Sherburn and bikers used to pull wheelies up the street, I would imagine it was a major nuisance for those who lived anywhere near it - that was 42 years ago:-). The 'new' Milk Bar, Squires, is essentially bikers only (goodness knows why anyone else would call in there). I've never tried the food and given the number of bad reviews I never will, it doesn't try to be clean and tidy or that it serves up the most beautifully prepared cuisine but I really don't understand why the owners don't something to tackle the large number of negative reviews. Not all bikers are dirty, oily creatures that will eat or drink anything that's put in front of them.

Truly a bikers haunt off the beaten path, Squires is a simple, basic cafe with plenty of room for bikes to park and bikers to meet up. It hosts various biking events throughout the year, but is at its best just being there for a stop, a coffee, and a chat with other bikers after a nice ride in the surrounding country. Okay its basic, and the cuisine is nothing to shout about, but it is what it is, honest, totally unpretentious, and to those of us who've been going there for years, its just 'the' default place to go. We've never seen any trouble there, everyone is very friendly and respectful, although maybe thats because the regular clientele (like us) seem to be ageing slowly ! Non-bikers are of course just as welcome, but its the bikes and bikers that make it stand out. Add it to your 'stop' options if you're planning a ride out that way, and you'll probably be back.

The girl on the till was cheerful and friendly but the food was a great disappointment. Beans and tomatoes were virtually cold, the black pudding listed on the menu was missing (although it appeared on my mate's breakfast). My first £2+ coffee was so cool and frothy that I necked it down in seconds and had to order a cup of tea to go with my breakfast. All you can say in its favour is; friendly staff, cheap and near the motorway! Of course it's the local magnet for motorcyclists, so noise levels are not improved by that addition. As regular bikers and visitors of Sherburn cafe there are lots of positives to this fantastic place. We love this places as a meeting point and viewing places for bikes. Great biker cafe but essentially that's what it is. Since the launch of the new burger menu I have been eagerly anticipating my first burger in the hope that some decent food will be available at the cafe. Having trailed the new menu tonight I can honestly say I will be continuing my "drinks only" rule here. There were more than enough chips to cover the £7.50 price tag however that was a good as it got. The bread was dry and crumbled which did not stay together when picking the burger up, and the burgers were nothing more than thin frozen burgers which you would expect to find on a greasy burger van for £1.50. All in all I was very disappointed with what I received, ended up eating less than a quarter of my meal and leaving the rest, my husband did exactly the same. Really not worth £7.50 and think the cafe either needs to be a cafe with cheap food where you would expect that kind of quality or if it wants to charge more for a burger and be a bit more up market then home made burgers are a must rather than frozen burgers and frozen bread. However we will still be visiting on a weekly basis for drinks and a chat.

'Castle Hunting on a Wing & a Prayer'I was hungry and thirsty so the Steak & Kidney Pie, Mushy Peas and gravy hit the spot washed down with a nice black coffee.Service as ever was polite and professional. As it was a Wednesday lunch time the place was quite with just 20 - 30 bikes outside. There are always like minded bikers there who love nothing more than to talk bikes. The shop around the corner is well stocked with bike gear and they have some great sales on from time to time. This week there were a few helmets going out for a song.Ive camped here numerous times and other than the sound of bikes coming and going its a great place to be.

Visited first time as a meeting point for our motorcycle club, venue packed with vintage Andrew bikes, riders from all walks of life in evidence and good humour abounded. Cafe facilities were great.

Been a visitor of this Biker cafe for 14 years now. It's a nice Sunday run for me, always use it as a stop off when I do a run to Cumbria. It's open 7 days. Very popular on Wednesday nights and Sundays. The foods good, not tried the carvery,(yet). Motorbike shop at rear of main building. Very handy on a Sunday.Usually something going on at weekends( see website) camping and caravan site plus additional parking for cars in adjacent field. Popular destination for Kirby Lonsdale riders. ( good biking route via Harrogate and weatherby) try the pastys, .

I have been to this great biker cafe a few times and have always found it to be good value and very friendly.Bikers from all walks of life, riding a wide range of bikes from scooters to Harley Davidsons, frequent this cafe. The breakfast is huge and will keep you going all day and tea and coffee can come in pints if you wish. The cafe is also licensed so beer etc is also available. The food prices are very reasonable indeed with the most expensive meal being £6ish. Behind the cafe is a motorcycle accessory shop where you can get a wide range of accessories from reflectors to leathers and helmets. Rhos cafe is part of the diminishing transport cafe tradition which is a shame. We need cafes like this as an alternative to the chain service areas and their inflated prices.

This place is usually busy and is a favourite meeting place for local bikers. I'm not sure why. The place doesn't look clean and the mugs we were given had tea stains and could have done with a good clean. The floor looks dirty and the place has a general grubby feel to it. Having said all this it is very popular with lots of bikers.

Use to go past the original milk bar in Sherbun in Elmet in the late 60's as a kid , Squires is one of my favorite ride outs for breakfast and catch up with friends, not been for a few months , my partner always goes veggie breakfast and I go large English ,cheap and cheerful is best described, only given a 4 rating as the sausages have changed and can only say not for the best, will be here again.....

Called after all the rave reviews and an invite by a close friend after leaving biking for a few years. Not very clean inside, didn't order food because of the filthy state the tables were in. Had a drink of tea, Luke warm and stewed. Prices very good, but nice place tom meet apart from that. Clean your act up guys, more money to make if you take pride in the place.

Could be so nice but unfortunately is just not clean, bins on caravan site overflowing, snail marks all over cafe bar carpet, sticky tables. Boy races in the field behind the caravan site late at night spinning around. Wouldn't even take much to sort this place out just a bit of upkeep and a very deep clean. Never left a review before but very disappointing and won't be returning. On the plus side food was very good.

As one of England's recognised biker haunts it was about time I visited again. Definitely worth the trip from Nottingham ( providing you pick your route) Good vibe and decent food and drink. Just the job

Great for everything bikes been coming here for years but come on the toilets and soft furnishings are disgusting... desperate for an overall or even just a good deep clean everywhere. Food gone downhill too even cornish pasties no longer as good as they where. It's the bikers that keep this cafe a great place to call in and see all things bike.

We booked to camp one night on our Yorkshire Grand Tour. Something of an experiment as husband does not much like camping, but quite successful. We arrived on a Wednesday early evening, just as the weekly meet was getting underway. The booking in process was totally painless and quite efficient. The cafe had a lively buzz and we enjoyed our meals which we ate once we had set up camp. Although it is a cafe bar, the range of drinks are mostly non-alcoholic; absolutely right for drivers and riders. As more and more bikes arrived, memories of a long ago and extremely mis-spent youth were brought to the fore! It was impressive to see so many bikes in one place at one time and such a range of ages with a shared passion for their enormous range of bikes. The food was unfussy and unpretentious but very well done. Enormous mugs of hot chocolate were very welcome. The campsite was also no frills, but absolutely fine and the token operated showers gave plenty of really hot water for a really revitalising shower. All in all, a quirky place which was really good fun.

Great meeting place for motor bike enthusiasts, lots of good parking, which needed for the regular meets. Friendly service in a sizeable traditional pub building and a good mug of tea

We camped here over night as part of a trip. We were 4 motorcyclists and one car that had all the kit in. As soon as we rode in there was 100's of bikes and engines revving . . . It was brilliant and exactly what we wanted. Cheap camping, big open fields that were very easy to get a space and keep our group all togethor and the toilets were clean and acceptable standard. Some locals told us the food isn't the best so we did eat elsewhere but for a camping trip and a coffee in the morning me and my group were really happy. It's certainly not the caravan club which is why we liked it so much ☺

Went for a ride out with my son .always a great place my meet other bikers and look at the vast selection of bikes there .even if you don't have a motorbike you can park up and go .and families are always made welcome by staff and customers alike ...but though we would try the food .i got a deluxe burger and chips and my son got a full English .and they were both shocking .im not a fussy person but my burger tasted like the meat was nearly off .and my sons all day breakfast looked like it was made first thing in the morning and put in the oven until it was purchased .we both left our meals and left hungry...I will go back but think I will stick to a coffee .its a shame a rubbish cook who doesn't care what he serve will get bad reviews for a great place

Yes we still come here every Sunday but it not the same anymore. Everything changed when the new owners took it over.. Its not a bike cafe anymore it's a cafe for all vehicles especially VW's or V Dubz as they like to call themselves, with their boom boom music and dope smoking kids that drive them..Some of the meals they serve are cremated and the price of tea and coffee are dearer than you'd expect, and it tastes weak or stewed.. Yuck!!We still go for the bikes though, and and see our friends but thats alll...

I have been visiting here for over 20 years, the old place in the centre of the village was great but the tea being served here is virtually undrinkable now and is always luke warm at best. The place really needs a good clean up. I called in the other day so thought I better stick to a small bottle of water and a flapjack, £3.30, extortion, no wonder so many of the regulars are giving up on this place, such a shame. Come on guys, bikers have standards nowardays and will not accept such substandard catering at extortionate prices.

It is a bikers cafe, so superb for a stop off and a brew, not the cleanest, and food is just adequate. Stopped here 2nd June after a 200mile ride from Cambridge via Oliver's Mount.Even mid week plenty of bikers aroundGood bikers shop on site, camp site, and plenty of parking space.

If your a biker or even just into bikes this is the place for you. I've been coming to this place for the last few years, yes the food isn't the best in the world and the place isn't the cleanest I've ever been to but it really doesn't matter, the atmosphere makes up for all its shortcomings. If your going to go make it a Wednesday evening you wont be disappointed.

I had breakfast but decided it’s a good day I’m going to treat myself to a breakfast sandwich. But this was no treat. I feel compelled to let everyone know how awful it was… the sausages were definitely a couple days old at least, the mushrooms weren’t cooked and the hash brown was stale, undercooked and cold. Staff are pretty unpleasant too.

DAUGHTER DIDNT GET FOOD Absolutely discusted a member of staff can treat a 15 year old girl and her friend in this manner, she got soft drinks by 1 member of staff, then kicked out my another who was very rude. Just told my daughter she would get a refund(given no proof of this either, hopefully can track this through her app) She wasn't aware u had to be with an adult just for soft drinks and some food and wasn't explained this until just told to leave. ABSOLUTELY DISCUSTED IN SERVICE MY STAFF MEMBER, shouldn't treat anyone like that especially a child

Me and my partner had a lovely dinner in The Crown Inn. The service is good, friendly staff and definitely fair portion of delicious food. Highly recommend, will obviously back again.

Disappointed. Firstly we arrived, the car park was busy. Seemed people park there that aren't visiting the pub. Very small for the establishment. We had to drive around twice to eventually find a parking spot. Our drinks order was taken quickly and then our food order was taken. Great 👍 The food came. The fish and chips was a good size portion. The roasts on the other hand. Very thin pieces of meat. Large yorkies. OK veg. Now the roast potatoes... I'm not often disappointed by roast dinner veggies. However these roast potatoes were the worst I've ever tasted. My knife wouldn't even cut them the skin was like leather! I have no idea how they managed to get them like that. Inedible! The service was slow and seemed stretched for the amount of tables. We asked for a dessert menu and one was never brought, after finishing our drinks we left without ordering. Would not rush to come back for the food.
