The best restaurants in Scarborough Yorkshire and The Humber

We returned here for a sixth year in a row and weren’t disappointed. Would definitely recommend to others - food is delicious with a varied menu and lots of vegetarian options. Food is some of the best in Whitby. Thank you!

Nice setting, good atmosphere, friendly staff. Felt the drinks were overpriced and the pizza more than we would pay when back home. Hence no starter or dessert. Pizza was however very nice and we enjoyed our meal

Although it is slap bang in the middle of the tourist area, the Black Horse is our favourite pub whenever we visit Whitby. It is a relatively small pub with a cosy snug at the front and a slightly larger bar at the rear. The atmosphere is invariably cosy and the beers and Yapas (Yorkshire tapas!) are very good. The service is also welcoming and good.

Come here every week and without fail service and quality of both food and staff are excellent.

Encontré este pequeño lugar encantador por casualidad, pequeño y acogedor. Buena selección en el menú, los dos elegimos un bocadillo, uno de jamón y tomate y el otro de jamón, tomate y cebolla. Vinieron con o sin ensalada y ensalada de col. Encantadores bocadillos hechos por encargo, el único negativo fue que la ensalada de col era una cantidad tan pequeña que parecía que se había medido con una cucharadita pero por lo demás era excelente. Sin duda volveremos cuando visitemos Whitby.

El tejo es un pequeño café fabuloso en un pequeño pueblo pintoresco. Las chicas que trabajaban eran muy amables y acogedoras a pesar de estar claramente muy ocupado. Grandes pasteles caseros en oferta y se acomodó a nuestra solicitud de dividir un batido entre nuestros dos niños pequeños en 2 vasos, sin problemas. El lugar estaba muy ocupado, pero el ambiente era encantador y relajado. ¡Si quieres café y pastel pásate!

Decepcionado no hay muchas opciones en pasteles. Nada parecía atractivo, así que solo tomé té. Sin ambiente. Arriba, así que no es adecuado para cualquier persona con problemas de movilidad. Las escaleras son negras y necesitan bordes de color / peligro. Iba a reservar el té de la tarde tan contento de que no lo hicimos. Lo siento, pero no creo que vuelva.

Visitamos Seven Coffee House en Scarborough esta mañana para el desayuno y nos quedamos seriamente impresionados. Desde el momento en que llegamos, el ambiente cálido y acogedor era claro, no solo para nosotros, sino también para nuestros perros! Un toque encantador: sacaron embutidos cocidos para los perros en una olla pequeña, que se fue de golosina. El café era excelente, rico, suave y claramente hecho con cuidado. El espacio es limpio y moderno, y la comida no solo estaba bien cocinada, sino muy bien presentada. Se nota que ponen atención en cada detalle. En general, es un fantástico lugar para desayunar y merece la pena visitarlo. Ya sea que seas local o estés de paso, asegúrate de pasar por aquí, especialmente si tienes amigos peludos a cuestas.

We'd been walking around Filey on a wet morning and were looking for a spot of lunch. This place fitted the bill, service is friendly and we both had the soup of the day - clam chowder which came with a bread roll.

Llamé de camino a Sleights. Precioso pub pintoresco. Atendido por una amable y agradable dama. Sentado en el jardín de cerveza en la parte trasera viendo y escuchando a todos los pájaros, encantador y tranquilo. Un gran lugar para pasar una hora o dos, y a un precio muy razonable 😘

Couple and dog welcomed to eat albeit they were very busy. Staff were all friendly and helpful, and the property feels like a homely local pub. Locals gave up their table for us and entered into pleasant conversation. Meals ordered, one gammon steak, one vegi lasagne, and a sausage for the dog. The food was well presented and tasted outstanding. Strongly recommend visit BUT book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Hemos estado aquí muchas veces a lo largo de los años desde que Richard y Angela asumieron el mando. Son muy serviciales y serviciales. La comida siempre está lista. La habitación es muy cómoda. En el exterior, las vistas son fantásticas. ¿Qué más puede querer alguien? (¡Aparte de las multitudes ruidosas, y no las encontrarás aquí!)

On Thursday evening around 7pm, I popped in here for the first time with my sister and a friend. After not long leaving Turks head where we had only had 1 alcoholic drink. When we arrived here, it was very quiet, so we was served fast by a lady. After I ordered my drink, I used the restroom to top up my lipstick and went back and sat at the table to drink my drink. I then left to go for a fag, after been in the cold weather I needed use the restroom. When I came out I went back to the bar to order another drink. And the lady behind the bar refused to serve us using the words ‘you’ve been in that bathroom twice, I think you’ve been doing drugs, you need to leave’ she didn’t even allow me to explain the reasons I went in. She was extremely rude and judgemental, I will never entire this place again and be wrongly accused by someone just for using the restroom. Please, if you need to use the bathroom within a short period of time within each time, then just be aware you may be wrongly accused.

Down from Newcastle and have to admit, the food was absolutely delicious, I would recommend highly, you won't be disappointed 😋
