Quayside Bar in Scarborough

Early Sunday morning breakfast. Was a great meal. Well cooked and friendly service. Would recommend to anyone.

What a place to sit off on a rainy day in Scarbrough . Great little bar , with a great selection of beers . Very friendly members of staff , informative , about the local area. Well worth a visit .

Absolutely awesome place to eat the vw hotdogs are epic.. dog friendly what more could you want well worth a visit 👍 Harbour views, outside seating, friendly staff, dog friendly, great German beers.

What a hidden gem. Food fabulous must recommend the VW hotdog(be hungry). German beer selection excellent, lovely friendly staff. Dogs also welcome

What a great little place. The staff are absolutely lovely and so efficient. Great choice of beers/ciders/wines etc. Just a great place to sit and watch the world go by on Scarborough South Bay. The only small niggle, was a door out to the toilets kept banging each and every time anyone went to the toilets. The doft closer needs adjusting to stop it banging. Just an observation and it didn't spoil our visits. Thank you.

Visited August Bank Holiday and expected it to be busy as it was. Luckily found a seat and ordered drinks, expected it to be expensive but shocked at nearly £6 (£5.95) a pint of Birra Morreti, looked at food menu and prices just as bad then saw what was getting delivered to other tables and didn't look worth the money so went somewhere else. The toilets were unclean as well. The location is great but thats about it.

Spent a few afternoons of our holiday in their after walks with the dog for a small libation and a bite. The burgers are too die for, superb 👌 great people all good 👍

Lovely spot. Lady serving was reasonably friendly but the big fella with auburn hair is SOOOOOO unfriendly. Really made for a very awkward atmosphere. Aren't you supposed to make conversation and not just ignore my efforts to chat. Or smile. Or seem grateful. Food looked nice but we just had largers. Great position with outdoor seating. Music was good but half way through our visit they switched it off. A brighter welcome and made to feel welcome would have been so nice.

My husband had a toasty and I had a double sausage and cheese stack. We had a portion of chips too.The food was absolutely delicious. Well worth waiting for. And a.latte to wash it down. The price was reasonable and the service was extremely friendly and welcoming, will definitely go again.

Went in for a drink Sunday and it was lovely and chilled, returned for a drink and lunch today, same calm atmosphere against all the hustle and bustle. Kids cheese toastie. X2 hotdogs and chips really were well worth the money! Just what we needed after our 2.5 hour walk! Thanks guys x

Wonderful place on the South bay opposite the harbour. Small menu including sandwiches, teacakes etc. The best coffee on the front (£3 for a flat white). Quality Pinot Grigio, nice staff & a clean loo. What more can you ask for?!

We popped in here twice while in Scarborough, great drink selection and well-priced cocktails. Do not visit the GEO cocktail and kitchen a few doors down its a rip off and the cocktails are awful

Had a couple of drinks here while in Scarborough. The drinks were excellent and reasonably priced. Originally went for a drink a few doors down at GEO and it was a dive, rubbish and overpriced.

Great range of craft beer. Get the right seat outside and you have a great view in the sun. Very friendly staff

We are in the Quayside Bar now, two ladies running it, cooking and serving. Both absolutely lovely, smiley, friendly, excellent service, lovely surroundings, no wait, and the food is amazing! Highly recommend.

Nice bar along the promenade. Great to sit and bask in the sunshine whilst enjoying a pint. Prices are semi-decent and there's plentiful seating. Amenities are very small and basic. When I was there (May 28th 2022) the Gents toilet door wouldn't lock, so if you're going with kids make sure you go with them.

Sat outside for hot drinks and cake. Very nice hot chocolate. Manager was very pleasant and chatty.

Good choice of drinks, fairly priced. Nice location on the seafront. Well worth a stopping for a few drinks.

5 star service very friendly staff recommend the cream tea so much food with a nice bottle of prosecco, order only one for two guests, you could never finish it alone. Dog and wheelchair friendly.

Very poor customer service,waiting to be seated was told we couldn't have the last table,4 seater,as this was for pram users. Truth is it was because there was just 2 of us would not recommend at all

Lovely staff so well stocked, bar coffee menu etc. I had a lovely red wine, cup of tea, coke, shandy all fab quick service. Dog friendly outside lovely views. Lady on the next table had a lovely looking scone but I was too full to indulge!!

Very helpful nice to feel welcome with mobility scooter and dogs nice bar and staff. Shame it’s small as can’t get in it in the summer months as it’s so busy inside and out

Pass this place many times but could never get in it with a mobility scooter as it’s so busy but small and finally managed it. Staff are very friendly and happily help me as tables/chairs are close together. Had drinks & afternoon tea was nice, would recommend and it’s dog friendly too big thumbs up 👍❤️ nice to feel welcome as a lot of places don’t want you in with mobility chairs also do gluten free items - 5 stars

Coffee is good here. Clean place to eat. Great to be able to sit inside but have the fresh air around you.... The front always has the big doors open. Friendly staff, great place to watch the world go by as you enjoy your drink/food. More Continental than most coffee shops.

We came here for some drinks before a concert at the open air theatre, staff were friendly and it was nice sitting outside with a sea view.

We've been here in the past and it's a popular nice place to have a drink the staff are friendly and relaxed and really make you welcome on our visit today nothing was to much trouble for them they serve a good selection of alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, hot chocolate etc it's on a flat surface and easily accessible from the sea front and has toilets for customer use only. The whole atmosphere was a relaxed environment and made for a pleasant couple of hours having a drink and chat.

Me and my partner popped in and had coffee and cake for 2. Was a lovely clean establishment and service was great. Coffee was very nice and cake was to die for. We just sat for an hour and let the world pass bye. Was a lovely little stop off.

Only popped in for a coffee, no serviettes and when I wanted sweeteners for my coffee being a diabetic we could only find one. We asked and they just said no! Not at all helpless ir welcoming.

Not a bad spot. Nice coffee. Prime location prices tho.

Lovely spot for a quick drink before heading home. Partner had a coffee and I had a pint of Strongbow Dark Fruit. Reasonably priced and the lady behind the bar was really friendly. Nice atmosphere and felt comfortable relaxing in the sunshine. Would definately recommend.

Decided to stop here for refreshments on a day in Scarborough. Lovely seating outside to watch the world go by.

It's just okay not much seating inside. I wouldn't go again I was shocked that I has to pay nearly £6 for a CUP of tea and a CUP of coffee. I live in York and you wouldn't pay that price in the city !!!!!

Having been turned away time after time from other restaurants along the Foreshore, I was delighted to find somewhere that actually offered something Gluten Free, other than fish and chips!!On two occasions I enjoyed a huge, delicious BLT sandwich, served with coleslaw and salad garnish! Vicky and her friendly staff did a great job of looking after us and ensuring my food was safely prepared. Thanks ladies, you saved me!

Lime and soda, £2.50, when asked about the ridiculous price the bar person smirked and laughed. I do not recommend this venue.

Visited over the Easter period. On the sea front so gets very busy as it's a good place to people watch. Lovely clean bar with plenty of friendly staff to help you. Hot and cold beverages available and a selection of snacks. The toilets are clean and you get a token from the bar to operate the door to make them for customers use only. Seating is available inside and outside.

Like the bar they have a good beer and larger and wine selection also do food plus seating outside.

On our free day in Scarborough we stopped here initially for a drink. They have a drinks licence so as we sat enjoying a wee tipple we looked at their menu.

Great food brilliant location and friendly staff

Really lovely place. Food looked good although I never ate but I did have the best coffee in Scarborough. We were there a couple of days early September and sat out watching the world go by. Thank you to the welcoming, responsive and knowledgeable staff and the wobble head owl keeping the gulls away.

Went for food here before heading home..

We visited on a very hot summers day and found this bar absolutely packed.

I am a resident of Scarborough and a coffee fanatic. This bar makes the best on the seafront by far. The sandwiches are fresh made and packed with filling. They serve gluten free toasted sandwiches and the service is excellent and very friendly

We stopped here for a refreshment break on a very hot day. The price is reasonable for a place located on the seafront. The beer was well looked after and good. The coffee drinker said that was good too. The staff are very friendly and if your passing and need a drink call in

Lovely day with lots of sun so stopped for a coffee and cake here. Open window seat looking out to sea with breeze wafting over us. Good tea, coffee and cakes. Nice touch was all the books on Scarborough's history that we could relax with during our visit.

Poor experience, disappointing service but fresh lettuce for the veggies...? Disappointing, don't do it. Not overly cheap and small portions, such a shame all the chippies are fried with beef dripping in Scarborough so you have to come here for a mozzarella and tomato panini... With CHICKEN in it! Wouldn't recommend.

Loved it here, right on the seafront and it's possible to sit outside. Prices were reasonable and the staff were lovely.

The food was very tasty and good portioned. The cheese and ham toasty was delicious, came with crisps and salad. It was all well priced and not too expensive. Had excellent views across Scarborough. Only downside was a waitress, wasn't very friendly. But will definitely return!

A nice small bar on the seafront, with seating inside and out where you can soak up the sun and people watch while sampling their beers wines and spirits. Generally a good family atmosphere with children and dogs allowed.

Nice friendly staff and clean, doesn't have any vegan options so couldn't actually eat here but still looked nice!

We called here for drinks we had coffees and beers both very good, the service was good and the people watching is excellent as we were sat outside on a lovely sunny day.

Nice drinks but the food was disgusting. The pulled pork looked more like sloppy dog food and my wife's chicken wrap was over cooked and dry.

Stopped for a great cool beer on a warm day. Great views of the harbour and excellent for people watching. Great outdoor seating area with music.

Arrived in Scarborough in need of sustenance saw the Quayside and gave it a go. Glad we did as food was good and drinks were cold. Highly commended

lovely lady serving behind the bar had a laugh and a chat with her, great to see service with a smile, made to feel very welcome.

Best fried egg sandwich ever. They ask how you would like your bacon and egg buttie cooked; my daughter had the bacon. Just been taken over by a mother and daughter team I understand and the service has improved-though I thought the previous service was very good.

Lovely bar, plenty of drinks options including prosecco on tap! On a nice day, the views are fab with good area for outside seating.
