Pizza West in Scarborough

Nice setting, good atmosphere, friendly staff. Felt the drinks were overpriced and the pizza more than we would pay when back home. Hence no starter or dessert. Pizza was however very nice and we enjoyed our meal

Nos encanta la pizza oeste ... , la comida es impresionante con una gama siempre cambiante de deliciosos ingredientes que incluso puede hacer mitad y mitad como yo. Gran ambiente muy recomendable

Me and four friends dined at Pizza West for a belated birthday celebration meal. Firstly, the food was great. The beer was expensive (£7.40 for a pint of Moretti!), but overall nice cocktails and the pizza was tasty, as were desserts. The service, however, was quite frankly quite rude and inattentive. We had pre booked this table and were all present ten minutes early. We did ask for a few more minutes to look at menus, however the waiter never reappeared. Several attempts were made to flag people down to no avail. We waited about 20 minutes on top of his last visit to have our order taken, and only by the fact we had gotten the attention of another young friendly waiter. After our meal, in which we ate at a perfectly reasonable speed, the bill was quite rudely put on the table as if to say “we need you to go”. We worked out between ourselves what our splits were, and paid. Our plates had began to be cleared before a member of our party had even finished eating! Before we had even left the table, the waiters/waitresses had swarmed in as we stood to gather our belongings to clear it off, and before we stood we were getting glares from various staff as there was a queue for other people. To summarise. I understand we stayed a little over our two hour slot. However, when I am paying nearly £8 for a pint of average lager, I expect £8 lager service, not that found in Toby Carvery. Overall, it tainted what could have been a nice evening.

We went to Pizza West for dinner on a Saturday night. We were seated fairly promptly but had to ask to order drinks/food after waiting for 20 minutes. We then proceeded to wait another hour for our two pizzas and garlic bread to arrive. During that hour, we were completely ignored and no one asked if we wanted to order any more drinks. When our plates were cleared away, we weren’t asked if we wanted the desert menu. We ended up missing our drinks reservation after dinner, as it took two hours to get in and out for two pizzas. It is a real shame as the food was incredible, but the service was just shocking.

Nos recomendaron a Pizza West por nuestra hija que ha estado un par de veces. Mi esposa tenía gambas reales con espagueti y yo tenía un hongo, jamón, etc pizza + una copa de vino. Había un gran bullicio en el lugar con un montón de gente obviamente disfrutando. El personal era genial, explicando y preguntas claramente. Muy bueno, no podía fallar y muy recomendable.

Un restaurante absolutamente fantástico, personal muy atento y excelente comida. Lo marqué con una estrella. Simplemente porque realmente necesitas abordar el extorsivo alto costo de una copa de vino... La mía era de 13 libras, y la de mis amigos de 16. Nunca en mi vida he pagado tanto por una copa de vino, incluso cuando vivía en Londres y estaba comiendo en encantadores restaurantes elegantes. Supongo que fue mi culpa porque nunca comprobé el precio en el menú. Sin embargo, a pesar de eso tuvimos una velada fabulosa

Absolutamente brillante hallazgo. Gran ambiente, personal amable y eficiente y fantástica selección de menús de pizzas en sabores deliciosos. Estuvimos muy contentos con nuestra elección y disfrutamos mucho de la noche en este lugar. 100 recomendar

Tratamos de visitar Pizza West cada par de meses. Literalmente nunca decepciona. Del ambiente a la comida italiana recién preparada en un entorno de estilo rústico. Esperamos con interés nuestra próxima visita en enero ya.

Desafortunadamente, después de estar muy emocionado por nuestra visita, fue rápidamente decepcionado por la comida de mala calidad. Las pizzas eran muy caras (19 libras). Nunca antes había pagado tanto por una pizza) , y mal cocinada. Fueron asfixiados en aceite de oliva que dejó aceite en todas nuestras manos, y resultó en una base poco horneada. Cuando envié las pizzas de vuelta, me dijeron que era porque están "mano estirada". No estoy seguro de cómo se correlaciona con una base empapada. Está claro que no hay habilidad real para hacer pizza aquí, lo que me confunde sobre por qué son tan caros. Después de ver tantas otras críticas similares a esta, es decepcionante ver que parecen ignorar los comentarios.

5 star food and service . Lovely decor , great atmosphere , helpful staff. Pizzas are great - ditto the roast potatoes . Portions are good size and no scrimping on toppings. This time we had a meat feast , a prawn pizza and one with chorizo / honey. With one drink each ( 2 non alcoholic) a side of potatoes and a tomato salad the bill was £99. As lovely as the food is that’s expensive. £20 a pizza is higher than recent London prices. So overall a lovely evening. But one for a treat not regular occurrence.

Fresh delicious food in an amazing setting with lovely decor. Good cocktails and wine. I love the Mango Margaritas and the Malvasia wine. All the pizzas are so so good and the whipped feta is a firm favourite of mine.

We’ve passed this place a few times and at a distance it looks like a takeaway but when entering I was pleasantly surprised, the decor was lovely and the fire in inside made it warm and welcoming. The staff were nice and made us feel welcome and friendly, the food was lovely and even though it was a little expensive from what I usually pay for a pizza it was very nice and love as a treat, only down side we did have to wait a while between getting out mains after the starter and some of the meat on the pizza was a little salty but apart from that I enjoyed our visit and will be returning

Excellent service from the staff. Good menu and a very attractive environment inside. Food was hot and fresh. Easy parking a 1 minute walk away and easy online booking system.

Stunning interior, makes you feel special. Lovely staff. Very good food. Drinks on the pricey side. Perhaps a vegetarian pasta dish could be included on the menu - we would probably have eaten here again while on holiday in Whitby, but would not want pizza twice in one week. Overall, excellent!

Pizza West is our go to in Whitby, lunch or dinner its fabulous. Love the innovative Modern menu. Is it number 22 in Whitby? Need to try more places!

Excellent food, great vibes! We both had pizzas and they were so good! Sat at the bar and watched the guys preparing & cooking - what a great team! They were so organised and professional. In the days where young people are knocked sometimes for their lack of commitment, these guys are a credit to their employer! Would return without any hesitation.
