We returned here for a sixth year in a row and weren’t disappointed. Would definitely recommend to others - food is delicious with a varied menu and lots of vegetarian options. Food is some of the best in Whitby. Thank you!

Very disappointing. Long wait for very mediocre food despite the cafe not being busy. Coffee was good but I did notice other people sending theirs back as it was not hot.

I have visited this cafe twice and the food is delicious. They offer a wonderful English breakfast and there is a sandwich menu as well as burgers, chicken and the usual. There is a kids menu. They will allow well behaved dogs in here. It is reasonably priced and in a great location. Nice clean toilets too. Lovely friendly staff.

I know that to some a BLT is nothing much but as GF it’s not something I come across very often but wow, a simple sandwich was made so well. A great thick sandwich with a small side of lettuce and tomatoes with a lovely thick balsamic vinegar dressed over. The children loved the kids sandwiches with nachos. The pot of tea was also served with an additional pot of steaming hot water so I had a good 3-4 cups of lovely Earl Grey. Waiting time was good and the WC facilities reflected a well run establishment. A baby changing facility was also available which was great to see.

Stopped here for lunch mid July 2022 just as the tourist season was hotting up in town. The ‘large salad’ (with southern fried chicken and bacon) lived up to its billing, obviously put together with care and attention and the result was delicious. The accompanying pot of tea for two was enough for 6+ cups, better than other places we’ve been to. Five stars from us.

Best breakfast in Whitby we have been a few times and it never dissapoints tasty, hot and great service. We will be back. 😋

We like to go for breakfast in a different cafe on everyday of our stay. We had been here last year and enjoyed it, so decided to come here again. We ordered the big breakfast. I have got to say, this has been the nicest breakfast we have had . Piping hot food is always a winner in our eyes, and this did not disappoint. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back again!

Called in today for takeaway jacket potato as heard the recommendations on here. Nobody to greet, counter furthest from the door. Stood and looked around, the place had absolutely no atmosphere. Ths one member of staff with back facing me didn't turn around, so left. Perhaps a bit of acknowledgement when a customer comes in would be nice, wasn't really what busy at the time.

Called in for breakfast after a half way stop on a long walk to Whitby from Hawsker. Very comfortable. Lovely food , coffee and great service. My husband enjoyed a full English and I had mushrooms and beans on toast. Very tasty. Will be our go to breakfast place when we next visit. Thank you 🙏

Called in here for breakfast on a short visit to Whitby and was not disappointed. Havent been here before but definately be back. Both my husband and I had the breakfast burrito and it was delicious. Everything is cooked to order so nice and fresh. i woudl highly recommend a visti to this little cafe. Very well set out in side, all tables socially distanced and very clean.

So glad we got to come back here after not visiting since 2019. Still one of the best full English breakfasts we've ever had!!

Arriving at 9.30 in covid conditions, we were directed to a table, order taken, and settled down. It was cash only, but the drinks arrived and soon after so did breakfast. The tea cakes are huge! Friendly staff, comfortable surroundings.

The food was sooo good! We had burgers and all loved them. Big portions and nice fresh salad. The pulled pork has loads of pork and the burger was yum too... First meal out on a busy Sunday in Whitby during a last minute break amongst all the Covid restrictions. Cannot fault them at all. We were seated very quickly having been politely asked to sanitise hands on entry. The tables were well spaced. The menus had good choice, and being placed under the glass topped tables meant no need to handle them. Service was quick and very polite. Food was delicious. I can heartily recommend the Yorkshire breakfasts which is a full English served in a Yorkshire pudding, complete with toast. My wife enjoyed the veggie breakfast and my daughter's sandwich was a good sized portion served with kettle chips. This was an enjoyable visit and I would certainly recommend and hope to visit again soon.

So many places to choose from but we were glad we picked this one. Tables well spaced out, service quick and friendly and food good, all at a very reasonable price.

Visited this morning for breakfast as we had to be out of the cottage that we had been staying in all week by 9am. Ordered 2 full english breakfasts and an americano and a pot of tea. For a few minutes we had the place to ourselves but it soon filled up, obviously very popular. The breakfast was delicious, piping hot, and importantly for me the fried egg was actually cooked on the top instead of being raw, a rarity unless you ask for your egg to be flipped, so a thumbs up from me for that. It also came with 2 rounds of toast each included in the price. Staff were pleasant and friendly so next time we are in Whitby we will definitely return. Thank you, it set us up for our three and a half hour journey home!

We were visiting Whitby for a few days and nipped in yesterday on a cold, rainy day. Our sandwiches and chips were lovely but the real showstopper was the cheesecake! I had Malteser cheesecake and my husband had Lotus Biscoff- they were AMAZING!!!! In fact, they were so good we visited again today! I’m very surprised about previous reviews of rude staff as the staff were very friendly whilst we were there.

Dropped in for breakfast after a night at a nearby hotel. A great range of options on the menu at very reasonably prices. I opted for the ‘breakfast burrito’ which was delicious. Came with chips as an additional bonus. My partner had a Yorkshire breakfast which was equally as good. Service as you’d expect. Can’t complain at all and would recommend. Thank you!

Fantastic food and so reasonable, I must stop venue. If you like a proper english breakfast this is your place. Hugh portions and so tasty. The coffee is piping hot just how i like it and my partner. Dog friendly and the staff are always delighted to see you coming back. If you like your food this is the place to eat for you.

To be brief very rude staff they messed the order up and it’s my fault, dirty tables and rude argumentative staff with no customer service skills especially the the older waitress who said we looked miserable and had attitude she should look in the mirror the nasty cowGive it a swerve if you want good service

We have been here a few times and always enjoyed our lunch. It was a grey overcast day and Whitby was quiet but the cafe was busy. We ordered two fried chicken wraps with a side salad, coleslaw and chips. The wraps were lovely and well presented. My husband had a pot of tea and the cost was £17.50 so good value. Two clean modern toilets downstairs.

Came for breakfast as singing kettle was closed where we normal have a good honest breakfast.As in Whitby happy to try some where new this place looked clean and nicely set out and busy ish ordered 2 full breakfast,when food arrived our hearts sank deep fried sausages that were tasteless deep fried mushrooms that were just disgusting, tomato still hard over all a very bad breakfast will not make same mistake and stick to singing kettle were they use grills and pans not fryers

I went to Crumbs N Cobbles with my family around mid-afternoon, as the interior looked welcoming and we hadn't been there before. It wasn't very busy at the time and about 20 minutes after sitting down, we were the only customers left in the cafe. We ordered 5 sandwiches and 4 drinks and paid (cash, as card payment is not accepted). We also picked up our cutlery, napkins and any sauces we wanted from next to the till at the front of the cafe.

Pleasant cafe in a good location. Clean, tidy with friendly staff. My family and I had a bacon and egg bap, sausage and bacon bap and a small breakfast with a pot of tea. All tasty. Would visit again, when next in Whitby

We visited this lovely cafe in Whitby, the place was very clean, the lady serving us was very friendly and the food was very tasty, well presented and good value for money.

Friendly, fast, fresh, filling. We stopped in when the rain came on and were very glad we did so. Cheese on toast is a meal in itself! The Yorkshire pudding fry-up is a thing of wonder. Good cake too.

Called in for a cooked breakfast. Lovely staff and great food. Asked for tomatoes to be removed and straight away the lady offered a replacement item. Food came quickly and was well presented. The Yorkshire breakfast is a must.

A new cafe to our normal Whitby jaunts. Dog friendly with an extensive menu, sandwiches, salads, burgers etc as well as cakes. We visited on a cold rainy november day to be greeted with a warm welcome, we enjoyed scones and tea for two while our pooch relaxed on the floor. The scones are home made crispy on the outside and light and fluffy in the middle . Nicely decorated with local old photos on the wall we definitely will be back on our next visit.

Stayed at cobble view rooms just over the road so coming here for breakfast on a morning was ideal. Service was faultless and the food was excellent. Will definitely return when we visit next time.

Lovely cafe. Very busy which shows it’s good. Lots of locals coming in for take aways too. Another good sign. Scones were lovely fruit and cheese ( which they warmed up for us) and hot chocolate was actually hot. Good service and a lovely hallowe’en theme.

This cafe has no airs and graces, quirks or fancies but they provide great reasonably priced fresh food, great friendly and attentive staff and a cosy handy venue for us while in Whitby, absolutely nothing to not like

Nice restaurant just off the cobbles of Church Street was lovely and clean and the staff were very nice and courteous. The food was very nice and served quickly although they were very busy would definitely go again next time in Whitby.

We were in Whitby for the weekend with family (6 adults) and 2 dogs. We were looking for somewhere for brunch and weren’t disappointed. Portion sizes are large and well presented. All of our party ordered different dishes and all were pleased with their meal. Good variety on the menu. Self ordering which causes some queuing around the till area, little inconvenient as the cafe is small. Toilets are located downstairs so may not be ideal if you have mobility problems. Other than those 2 factors we were extremely happy and would definitely visit again.

Looked like the griddle that the eggs were cooked on hadn't been cleaned for a while. Black bits on the fried eggs and fatty bacon. Wasn't impressed.Won't be going back.

What an amazing cafe. Spotted it by chance and so glad we did . Managed to get two tables and the food was delicious. It’s cooked fresh and I had an omelette which was one of the best I have had. It was so light and fluffy and served with a salad and coleslaw. Cannot put down what everyone else had too much to write but I can say everyone enjoyed their food. Prices are great and the staff are friendly and helpful. The toilets are immaculate and clean. Will definitely recommend and will visit next time in Whitby. Keep up the good work

We went in early and they served good food, fast service and a really good set of breakfasts for the whole family. The big breakfast was generous and the vegetarian option was great. Would highly recommend this as a good place to eat.

This cafe looks great from the outside but needs to up their game, if your serving breakfast you should offer poached eggs, you should be able to toast bread, ours was warm bread. They also don’t take card payments which in 2019 is unbelievable, a card terminal doesn’t cost much. Very average

I returned here this year on holiday and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the service was very quick and friendly. We felt the prices were really reasonable too - all food was delicious! Thank you.

Stopped here for a afternoon drink I ordered the cream tea and at £3.80 it was fantastic I had a huge Date and Toffee scone with butter jam and cream and a pot of tea with extra hot water (a nice touch) the scone was delicious the best I’ve had for s long time ....staff were friendly...toilets were lovely and clean I would definitely recommend this little cafe and would definitely pay a visit if we go to Whitby again

Called in for breakfast on Saturday morning. Very quiet when we got there so didn't wait too long for our order. Drinks arrived very quickly and the food not long afterwards. I opted for a veggie breakfast and hubbie the big breakfast. Both were very disappointing. Bits of mine were warm, half the beans were lukewarm and other bits red hot. Best bit was the one piece of fried bread that I've not eaten probably since I was a kid. My hubbie's three sausages were very anaemic in colour, both inside and out and the bacon very dry and tough. Got the impression it was more microwaved, but could be wrong. Disappointed as I have been in at lunch time with elderly relatives and had quite a nice lunch.

My son and I had a couple of slices of toast and a sausage sandwich. The food was fine but nothing special. Service was efficient and friendly and the coffee was good.

We were lucky enough to get a table during the busy Easter holidays. The food here was beautiful. We each had a different burger and we were all very happy with them. Special mention for the Halloumi burger which was gorgeous.

Popped in here for lunch as just fancied a sandwich or something small. My friend had a chicken wrap and I went for the pulled pork nachos. There was loads (my plan for a small snack was ruined). However they were tasty,came with sour cream, guacamole and salsa and jalapenos. Awkwardly served on paper and a board which meant that all the cheese melted everything to the paper bit otherwise this was really tasty.

One of those classic cafes in busy places that has a prime location, but average food. We ordered a light lunch, tea and a cappuccino. The coffee wasn't very good and the sandwiches were average accompanied by an uninspiring iceberg lettuce salad. The saving grace of this place is its central location, close to the abbey steps and big windows for people watching.

A very busy weekend with a full restaurant of hungry tourists didn't phase the waitresses at all. Smooth and seamless , delicious breakfasts . Lovely to see that dogs were allowed.

We called in for a morning drink with our Granddaughter and ended up having some toasted teacakes and scrambled egg on toast very enjoyable.

First of all this is not a greasy spoon and as such it is not priced as so. Some if the items, big breakfast £6.25 for example I thought was ok but then £4.80 for cheese on toast for my son I thought was OTT.

We always visit this place every time we come to Whitby the food it amazing the girls who wait on you never stop but there so welcoming and friendly! Inside is lovely.. I always imagine a little old lady cooking all the food who’s been doing it years you don’t have along wait for yr food but when it comes out the quality of the food it beautiful, we are never disappointed...

On a visit to Whitby we were wandering around looking for somewhere for lunch and saw Crumbs N Cobbles. We thought we would just try it, and we weren't disappointed. It was busy. I had a lovely baked potato and Pat had a wrap. both excellent meals. Easy to see why it is popular, excellent service and good value for money.
