Called in Tuesday lunchtime. Only small but managed to get a table for two. Menu fairly limited, only sandwiches/panini’s and cakes/scones but just what we wanted. Good choice of drinks. Nice latte which was hot. So many places seem to serve lukewarm coffee which is nearly cold by the time you’ve finished drinking it but this was hot and remained so until the end which was great. Would definitely go again.

This was our second or third visit here… Today was absolutely beautiful although I have to say your portion sizes are very small. The scones in particular are tiny & only 1 slice of bread with a bowl of soup isn’t the best. Nonetheless what we did have was absolutely delicious (that tea loaf was amazing!!!) & we will be back. P.S Next time I will be ringing ahead to make sure you have your home made custard creams on.

This is a small cafe on grape st, it is perfect in every way, today was a warm sunny day but I prefer it on a cold wet day, because it some how feels more atmospheric, as does the whole of whitby. Even though it was a warm sunny day it was still a perfect visit. We had cakes this time they were beautiful, especially the yorkshire loaf with cheese. Staff are very nice and helpful, very clean toilets too ( think I am turning into my Mother)

We went in to have a drink and slice of cake. The young lady that initially served us was very pleasant and polite. She served us our drinks but no cake. We waited patiently for a few minutes but there was no sign of the cake. My partner asked the older lady where our cake was and told in a very rude and abrupt manner that it would be coming. Her attitude to her customers leaves a lot to be desired as she told other customers that had come in, that they were welcome to wait OUTSIDE in the rain until a table had become available. The drinks we had (4 of us) were extremely perfumed and had an overpowering taste of cloves. None of our party of 4 were able to finish our drinks. Would not recommend this establishment as there are several other better and more welcoming places to eat in Whitby.

There is a younger lady working there who was lovely to all the customers. The older lady was very snappy when I asked where my cake was - my drink was getting cold as it wasn’t served at the same time. The chai lattes had an overpowering taste of cloves and were undrinkable. None of us finished them. The cake was dry and not worth the wait. I wouldn’t set foot in here again. The older lady needs to learn how to address customers properly.

Gorgeous place to come to and is always on our list as a ' must go to'when we are in Filey. Beautiful setting and everything here is really delicious. The lemon meringue tart and coffee cake are to die for. It's lovely sitting outside and enjoying the sunshine. Sadly it was raining today and as we have a dog we couldn't go in, there was some seating under a canopy for the ice creams but sadly for us just a bit too chilly to sit out. It is cash only so that is something to always remember when visiting.

Amazing evening seafood meal. Fabulous service from Johan and wonderful little tasters including a really tasty broccoli soup appetiser. Cannot recommend the food and service enough. Tx
