I've passed this restaurant many times and I've always wanted to eat here: I got the chance due to a family birthday meal. The meal was delicious from start to finish, beautifully presented, with great customer service. Definitely recommended!
Muy pobre, menú limitado toda la comida comida congelada barata arruinó nuestra noche y no lo recomendaría. insípido, el lugar estaba vacío y había una razón para eso.
Stayed in staithes for a few days, called in for meal.
Food was amazing.
Steak pie,and the BEST chips ever.
Place a little dated, needs refurb, tellys playing bloody football just like every other pub.!!
When you come to places like staithes, you want nice old style pubs to relax, if you want football, stay at home .
.
Absolutely cracking place ! Very clean and tidy
Great staff very friendly and helpful ,
The breakfast is excellent in every way .. I’ll deffo stay there again .. Thanks to all the staff !!.
A great 2 night stay in a twin room, very well equipped, clean and warm. Cameron was a fantastic host and can cook a really great breakfast! We loved everything about the Endeavour especially the little snug and breakfast room.
Staithes is a such a pretty spot and handy for exploring the North Yorkshire Coast - we will be back!
Martin is the new owner of The Corner House Cafe. I had such a delightful experience at The Corner House Cafe! The food was absolutely amazing, and their cakes and coffees are some of the most delicious I’ve ever had. The staff were incredibly friendly and more than happy to answer all my questions about the menu. I highly recommend giving this cafe a visit – it's definitely worth it. Thank you to the team for such a lovely experience!
We had eaten here before and enjoyed it, so we booked for our anniversary meal.
We thought we’d treat ourselves and have caviar first (£25). We were informed that it would probably come with the starters because, quote, “the chef has a prejudice against pre-starters.” (!!) Oh, so we will rush the caviar to ensure our starters don’t go cold, shall we? I pointed out that as paying guests, we wanted them separate…
My crab Bon Bon starter was a bit dry, although my wife’s razor clams were “delicious”, to be fair. My sea bass was ok, but I felt the mackerel pate was way too big for the amount of fish served. I did not enjoy the pickled cucumber, but that’s just personal taste. My wife’s lemon sole was “nice”, but we both agreed the food was far below the standard we had enjoyed here previously.
We did not fancy either of the TWO desserts on offer, so we finished and left the restaurant.
I’m afraid we won’t be back. The waiting staff were nice, but we’ll go somewhere that doesn’t seem scared of their chef in future.
3 of us called last night for dinner, and all had the cod, which was delicious a good sized portion of very thick white flakey fish, absolutely no issue with the food, the staff were lovely but the spoiler was the price of the drinks £6.70 for a pint of John Smith ! £4.29 for a 330 ml bottle of 0% larger and a bottle of coke £3.25 . You are seriously having a laugh. I expect to pay a little more than bar prices but that is ridiculous. If we had gone to Trencher which was our other choice for the evening the beer would have been £2 pint cheaper and the alcohol free larger £1 .29 cheaper . Unfortunately we won’t return Trenchers next time .
